A contact tracing app telling people in the UK to isolated for 10 days after coming into contact with any Covid-19 sufferers has been keeping some critical staff away from work. This has hit the food industry where some towns have been seeing problems with pricessing or moving food to the stores, resulting in some unhappy customers being greeted with bare shelves.
The pings come when the contact tracing app detects the user has been in contact with someone who tested positive for the virus. This has led some to simply uninstall the app. While over 86% of the population have had at least a partial vaccine and 68% havrbeen fully vaccinated, the new strain called “delta” is getting vaccinated people sick as well.
The 7 day average of new cases is up to 45k per day while at the height of the pandemic in January the the average got to 59k per day. Some 5.6 million people in the UK have had Covid-19 while 129k have died. But the current death rate is far below what it had been with 84 deaths per day being the average while it reached around 1400 per day in January of 2021.
But while the number of deaths is way down, and not expected to appreciably rise, disruptions to supply chains are still likely to occur here and there, as they are in the UK. And the differences can be dramatic, with places like London lacking a few items, like bottled water, while some towns saw a more dramatic supply distribution. There are concerns, however, it could get worse and, as word of the problem spreads, so too does hoarding.
Being prepared in these times requires a set aside of at least a few weeks to a month worth of basic nutrition needa and household supplies as disruptions of the supply chain are unlikely to become a thing of the past any time soon. The impetus for local and home grown food production is becoming greater. Even without a high death rate, outbreaks of the virus, even among the vaccinated, who are far less likely to die, can and will cause problems.
The “election reform” pushed by the ruling class has all the hallmarks of using woke communism as a vehicle for power. While others have analyzed the bill in detail, the gist is that this bill, “The For The People Act”, is an unconstitutional nationalization of elections designed purely to deny the People fair and free elections. It is an assault on “democracy” but it is being portrayed differently and under the cover of woke communism.
The desire of the ruling class is to gain legitimacy for their otherwise inhumane agenda. In the past, they wrapped their inhumane agenda in the flag, witness Woodrow Wilson’s “patriotic” progressivism. Today they wrap it in the flags of the rainbow and the totalitarian fist of groups like Antifa and BLM (the corporate entity, not individuals who advocate for the black community and its legitimate grievances).
The For The People Act basically, and only, codifies election hijacking so that, through legalized legerdemain and trickery, coupled with mass manipulation through the corporate press, education, and entertainment, the ruling class can choose who gets into office. This isn’t a Party thing, this isn’t about getting Democrats in office, though even we have said such things and this may be the temporary plan. This is about ensuring that the people chosen by and subordinated to the ruling class have an unfair advantage.
This is legalized hijacking, making official all the extra-legal “policies” used in 2020 to control the election process and create desired outcomes (not fraud per se and not “illegal” but grossly manipulated and “gamed” to shift all the advantages to to the ruling class’s candidates.) It’s not “voting rights” but election hijacking that is being sought.
This doesn’t mean that perhaps a majority of voters aren’t leaning in the direction desired by the ruling class. The constant corporate press propaganda, educational programming, and entertainment brainwashing practically equal mass hypnosis. Are we surprised a majority of people when subjected to the most intense mass hypnosis program in human history actually fall for deception and freely vote away their own agency and dignity as human beings? We are not at all surprised.
But if it was all left to this mass hypnosis to get most people to vote the way the ruling class want, there wouldn’t be any need for this election hijacking law to pass. Indeed, none of the extra-legal policies (as in not passed by legislatures) by Secretaries of State and County election officials, which benefited only ruling class candidates and made it impossible to detect potential fraud, would have been needed if, in a clean and fair election, the majority would have reliable chosen the ruling class candidate.
People are convinced, without looking at the substance of the “We The People Act” or considering the people behind it, that without this their votes won’t matter and their voice won’t count. For them, being against this bill is racism.
The votes of people in the black community are being hijacked, but it’s not what people think. The black vote isn’t being used to empower local communities but keeps rubber-stamping the ruling class candidates and policies which do no good for the black community. We’ve said many times that simply voting Republican as an alternative won’t help the black community, the issue is that one Party has captured their vote and abuses the power it gives while thw other doesn’t welcome the black community in as equals and collaborators.
We propose new LOCALISM parties within the black communities that are blighted by the ruling class which don’t dance for Republicans or Democrats. We propose a change of rulers in these communities from the ruling class and the duopoly to the average person in each of these places, each of whom knows what’s best for themselves and their community.
The election hijacking law euphemistically called “The For The People Act”, is unlikely to pass and if it did it wouldn’t likely pass muster with the courts, but the principles and agenda behind it are being pursued, county by county and state by state, to ensure, as much as possible, we maintain the fiction of a free election without risking that the people might vote against the ruling class.
To push this the ruling class, through their corporate press and major monopoly corporations, are using woke communism, namely conjuring images of the Civil War and Jim Crow laws to make people feel this bill undermines “muh white supremacy” and empowers “the oppressed classes”, when, in reality, it does nothing of the kind.
If you oppose this bill you are a Jim Crow racist who should be canceled and you are perpetuating and fomenting the kind of insurrection that occurred on January 6th, according to the neocommunist wokatariate. Just note, this neocommunist wokatariate (woke communists or woke comms for short) are themselves but an adjunct and arm of the ruling class, though they don’t see themselves as such.
The BLM and Antifa rioters who are praised by the corporate press, egged-on by politicians, let off the hook by corrupt attorney generals, and who are given funds by various woke communist organizations and corporations have no idea they are actually fighting FOR “the man” against “the People!”

The San Diego Padres verus the DC Nationals game, in DC, was suspended and then called after a shooting led to three deaths just outside the stadium. Chaos ensued as people fled the scene.
The DC Police Union retweeted a video of the event with the commentary that “violent crimes permeates everything.”
The Union laid the blame on city officials who, they allege, have tied their hands. The same officials who lost their collective breath over the January 6th riot in the Capitol, using it to paint all Republicans as rebels guilty of insurrection, have allegedly done nothing to prevent the criminal anarchy that rears its head at random times and places in America’s capital city.
The incident was recorded by Jalen Drummond and shows people streaming away from the stadium in fear for their lives.
The news here is the police union’s frustration with city officials who they feel are hindering their work. The Washingtonian presents data claiming that the crime rate overall compared to last year is steady, although it doesn’t compare the crime rate of 2020 with 2019 or before.
Predictably, the “corporgov” (blurring of the line between corporate and government monopoly power) press are going back to the well of attacking the individual’s sacred (and shared) right to self-preservation and demanding an absolute monopoly on the use of force by the same police they also label racists and who they want to defend. The inner inconsistencies of their ideology are lost on them.
The corporgov press appear to be unable to grasp the connection between a cultural milieu dominated by immorality and corruption and without the voluntarily corrective influence of faith, family, and community and a culture that values life and promotes civic and moral virtues. They cannot see that the problem is moral or spiritual because for them moral and spiritual constraints, even when strictly voluntary and based on freewill participation, are at odds with their mostly hedonist and selfish lifestyles.
A society of disjointed, atomized individuals without the voluntarily corrective influence of faith, family, and community wherein the culture itself promotes hedonism and selfishness must be strongly managed because only force on the part of corporate and/or government monopoly power holders and the disarming of the population can prevent bad acts.
This murder of three people and the chaos unsuing which caused a Major League Baseball game to be called short may or may not be part of a deeper trend toward more lawlessness and may or may not be the result of local officials and their policies. Regardless, it is symptomatic of a deeper spiritual and moral crisis brought about by the deliberate assault on the anti-authoritarian institutions of faith, family, and community by woke communism.
Ultimately, the policies of these city officials that work actively against the institutions of faith, family, and community through freewill participation are to blame, not their unwillingness to give more power to cops or the fact we own a right to self-preservation and, therefore, to be armed.
Bill Collier- The World Economic Forum, an organization of ultra-globalist authoritarians, has made the claim, and then taken the video down, that “you will own nothing and like it.” In telegraphing its intentions for a world of peasants under the ruling class’s firm authoritariam control, the WEF itself proclaims that the idea of a coterie of ruling class shot-callers conspiring against the entire planet is not far-fetched.
Now comes their simulation exercises in which they actually test their intentions. Prior to the pandemic, they ran a simulation of a global pandemic. We can only guess how the WEF could have run a simulation that then played out in the real world, but one must consider their simulations as a telegraphing of their intent.

Running parallel to the training exercise will be discussions on how to tackle everything from ransomware and supply chain attacks to implementing “resilient” digital currencies, and a desire for global governance on the internet.
Massive disruptions that essentially collapse economies and soften people up may sound like a villain from a James Bond movie who has gone amuck, but the very goals of this exercise clearly, as it says in our Declaration of Independence, “evince a design of tyranny.” This global junta, or would-be junta, is making it clear they will use massive supply-chain disruptions to control you and keep you desperate and needy and all too ready to submit to a “global governance” aimed at the very heart of freedom.
Global governance of the internet is evidently critical, as well as top-down global control of supply-chains. A recent “study” by the IMF, which was a mathematical simulation based on assumptions, basically claims that a country depending on global supply chains is better off in a pandemic than one with a “nationalized” supply chain, i.e. a supply chain bssed mostly on internal production.
The aim of the great reset is to destroy faith, family, and community, to eliminate private property and individual agency, and to construct a totalitarian top-down system of control at the global level.
They are arguing against self-sufficency and self-reliance at the level of entire countries just as they (the ruling class) openly admit they desire a society without individual ownership. The Center For Risk Analysis did an extensive video on this, detailing the dangerous elements of this ideology.
This group of mostly financial sector shot-callers and political power brokers has decided to take upon itself the central management of the entirety of human civilization without any real input from the billions of people on the planet.
This is the essence of woke communism. It is a modern take on Marxism which relied on 100% state ownership of everything, including the means of production, but it uses a combination of state and corporate structures, all controlled from the top by a select few ruling class, in a centrally managed socioeconomic and sociocultural system.
Collectivist ownership is merely the ownership of everything and everyone by the very few. “You will own nothing and be happy” is totalitarian on two grounds: you have no ownership and therefore no freedom and “you will be happy” means you cannot dissent but will be forced, 1984 style, to like your bondage.
It is sometimes hard to discern whether the financial sector shot-callers are controlling the government shot-callers or the other way around. Is the new global governance structure being proposed a form of fascism where the government controls corporations and uses them as its agents (like having platforms banish people from the digital commons and marketplace at its behest)? Or is it really the mega corporate shot-callers using their influence and ownership of political rulers to essentially make the state an agent of the corporate interests in a sort of “corpostate” hybrid of collectivism and cronyism?
We use the term woke communism because, ultimately, the means of production and property are indeed centralized in terms of ownership and management while the woke cancel culture radicalism, complete with white shaming and alt gender rainbow authoritarianism, is the primary means of advancing that control and destroying the anti-authoritarian institutions of faith, family, and community.
Assaulting your own faith, family, and community and rendering you an undifferentiated and atomized cog in the top-down sociocultural and socioeconomic structure owned by the few but paid for by the many is the essence of what we call woke communism. It is all a form of corpo-statist politocracy: a state and corporate ownership and control of everything coupled with the poltization of all aspects of society wherein politics controls everything and very, very few people control politics.
While the masses as a whole carry more weight and could decimate the power of the ruling class, this requires scaled-up structures and organizations that can pool shared resources and both facilitate comity of action and determine the consensus of the whole so that action is agreeable to everyone participating.
We posit the concepts of spiritual nationhood to create larger-scale organic cohesiveness and alt sovereignties like virtual commonwealths and cryptonations as positive alternatives to the top-down corpo-statist structures and their controls. The ability to gather and organize people on a massive scale to exercise their agency in comity of action requires alt structures that both make larger-scale collaboration possible while positively upholding the spiritual sovereignty and agency of each individual.
The realization that We The People have the ultimate power, because we produce all wealth while the ruling class only control it and fleece the masses, is an internal awakening of agency and spiritual sovereignty that must precede effective action. Harnessing this power requires an at-scale comity of action that individuals and small groups cannot muster because the threat of this “great reset” as a massive scale effort.
That being said, there are many things individuals and small groups can do to find gaps for freedom and essentially hide themselves from the influence and control of the ruling class. We propose things like the multi-family freehold villa or estate, local food and energy freedom clubs, local safety and home security cooperatives, and individuals being well prepared for massive disruptions to society.
At-scale structures that promote comity of action as an offset to the global war on freedom and the whole woke communist ideology will emerge as and when individuals and small groups adopt freedom building methods and moral/ethical precepts on a freewill participatory basis.
The “great reset” is best described as a form of neocommunist dictatorship at the global level that combines corporate and governmental power controlled by the very few who then use woke cancel culture to demoralize the individual and eliminate such institutions as faith, family, and community. Ownership and agency fall before the ruling class, the anti-authoritarian institutions of faith, family, and community are gone, and all speech and economic interactions are controlled by this same ruling class.
Because this combines neocommunist destruction of private ownership with the woke cancel culture to undermine faith, family, and community we call it woke communism. But whatever name you want to call it, “the great reset” is a global power grab that uses cancel culture to destroy anti-authoritarian institutions while also destroying private ownership and instituting a global totalitarian “governance” that only serves the ruling class.
For those who accept the woke communist theory that all white people bear shame and guilt for the alleged misdoings of other white people, the desire to escape being part of the oppressing class is intense. Nobody wants to be irredeemable as an outcast, a pariah, just because of things they cannot control.
NOTE: Not everyone who feels they are not heterosexual or who adopts an alt gender is merely escaping white guilt and nor do they all care about what others think of them. I personally know many alt gendered or non-hetero individuals who I care for and who care for me. The issue here is purely the escape from white guilt, not the fact people may genuinely feel a different sexual orientation or reject gender norms.
So what is a person to do?
The answer is simple: join an oppressed group and vilify the oppressors, especially white, Christian, straight males. Indeed, the hatred of the woke communists for Christianity is particularly virulent. We are seeing children who have bought this woke communist ideology of hate turn on and vilify their own parents and families, often using gross exaggeration just as the woke exaggerate America’s past mistakes, and reveling in how “horrible” their first world privileged life has been because of their evil white, Christian, straight parents.
The path of escape is all too easy: identify as lgbtq or something, anything, other than Christian and straight. Reject these two things and identify as their opposite and you have a free pass into the oppressed class. You are no longer a privileged white male, you are a victim and now you have standing.
The irony of being a privileged white straight male all your life only to become some alt gendered victim whose very victim status gives you privilege!
There aren’t precise surveys we can trust to show the impact of this dynamic, but the trend is likely to be strongly in favor of a mass shift away from the ethical and moral orthodoxy of historic Christianity, for example. The adoption of victimhood is powerful and hard to fight, the victim truly believe they are and have always been oppressed, mostly by their parents and family, who they lie about merely to burnish their bona fides. These lies are actually embraced, they believe them, in that weird way the human mind can reprogram its own memories based on whatever narrative we apply to them.
We are all responsible for our choices and these children who smear their own past, and their family, especially their parents, bear the guilt and shame of dishonoring their own kin. This is not something any human should do lightly because it has consequences. You burn bridges from the only people who would truly have your back, making you isolated and atomized.
For the woke communists, a married mother and father raising their own children according to their Judeo-Christian worldview and values is in and of itself oppression and hardship to endure!
This is cult behavior. The woke communist wants you to reject your own human connections to isolate you from anyone who might be able to warn you about how you are being used and harmed. Having made you a disconnected, undifferentiated, atomized individual without roots or connections of depth, the woke communist shot-callers can turn your mind to mush, destroy your agency, and separate you from God and those who love you.
Almost everyone who is today suddenly realizing they are alt-gendered victims of their Judeo-Christian parents and society is seeking an escape from white guilt. Their connection to anything approaching a just and free worldview and ethic are severed.
They no longer value freedom for all but assiduously follow the edicts promulgated by every establishment in this land, all the while imaging that they are the mavericks and independent thinkers. They are so edgy and unique but all sound alike and safely stay within the lines monopoly corporations have drawn.
From the freedomist perspective, we don’t desire to tell you what to call yourself or who to love, even though we believe a man and woman married for life raising their own or adopted children is the ideal for an advanced civilization. The fact we embrace freedom for all and have zero desire to compel anyone to follow our Judeo-Christian worldview or way of life isn’t enough for these brainwashed alt-gendered corporate robots. We must be punished for sins we did not commit and our way of life must be deconstructed as oppression in order for the addled miscreants to be able to live with themselves.
Demanding others accept things they sincerely believe are a sin is the very height of arrogant authoritarianism but these deceived people cannot see that. If your alt-gendered life isn’t able to withstand others thinking it is a sin, then the problem is your insecurity. As long as that belief doesn’t translate to forcing you to renounce your beliefs as an adult, then you have endured no wrong and have no right to demand or pressure anyone to agree with you.
The woke communists have convinced enough younger people, through our corrupt public schools, that being white, male, Christian, and straight makes you a moral inferior and the only escape is to adopt an alt gender and spew hate on your ancestors and your kin.
If you think the moral and ethical orthodoxy of historic Christianity and the Judeo-Christian worldview in general are somehow oppressive, then you do not understand justice or what is needed for a healthy, prisoerous, and free advanced civilization. To reject these things is to return to primitive savagery, barbaric and uncultured norms that produce sickness, poverty, and tyranny.
Our ideas and beliefs, which you deconstruct and vilify, which is your right which we do no deny, stand on their own. Unlike you bunch of corporate puppets and your alt gender confirmism, we are secure in who we are and what we believe, and we are just as happy to not have your approval for our way of life as we are to disapprove of your woke cancel culture ideology.
If you reject freedom for others, you reject freedom for yourself. If you turn in hatred toward your ancestors and your parents, you are only hating yourself. If you cannot make your own beliefs about your sexuality or gender not about deconstructing and cutting off others but about your own agency as a human being, then maybe it lacks sincerity and is really just an escape from a trap you set for yourself by adopting the white shame/white guilt lies of woke communist cancel culture ideology.
If our authoritarian, unhinged, woke communist President has his way, America would become a wasteland of ruin under the jackboot of private monopoly corporations inspired by their own totalitarian ambitions. Cancel culture authoritarianism and centralized control of sociocultural and socioeconomic life by those corrupt woke corporate monopolies is the true vision of Biden and his morally backwards Party.
Despite the fact we don’t assess that this rather fantastical vision emanating from the minds of men like Biden and the platform owners has any chance of success, it remains worth reporting on their designs and opposing those designs in principle.
President Biden is an authoritarian facing a moral crisis as he betrays all of his once vaunted ideals and values. His language about his political opponents is the language of tyrants: they are variously guilty of being racists, seditious, spreaders of misinformation, and even criminals. His rhetoric surrounding misinformation is blatant authoritarianism no free society should tolerate from its leaders.
Who are on his enemies list?
– anyone who questions the vaccine
– anyone offering treatments for “the virus” that certain backers cannot profit from
– anyone who supports Trump
– anyone who defends the second amendment
– anyone who believes in the doctrinal and ethical orthodoxy of historic Christianity
– anyone who doesn’t parrot his lines and beliefs with gusto
We call people like him woke communists. This doesn’t mean he is a traditional Leninist or Maoist. The woke communist uses social justice cancel culture to inflict controls and they use woke corporations with monopoly powers to enact many of their totalitarian aims.
None of this will survive the courts: these blatant attempts to arrogate power from the many to the few will be nuked from orbit.
All this goes back to “The Patriot Act”, which opened the door to the invasion of Americans’ privacy in order to fight “terrorism”, only now everyone who isn’t part of the Biden cabal is deemed a domestic enemy. The precedents this morally reprobate man are setting would be extremely dangerous for the cause of freedom, but his likelihood of success is quite low.
But people are waking up and the stomach for tolerating this cancel culture authoritarianism has been lost. Americans are having their fill and don’t want any more.
This woke cancel culture movement is a top-down movement inflicted on the country by extremely wealthy people who will not be subject to the very policies they want us to follow. They profit from this and they arrogantly talk down to the middle class as if an average person cannot think for themselves and as if their core values and traditions are contemptible.
Working class, middle class people don’t care about pronouns and deconstruction of American history and heritage. These things don’t increase their wages or address their real issues, like crime and infrastructure, health costs, education costs and lack of good education in general, or other real issues.
As for Biden, he is a mere puppet of these billionaire shot-callers and he is an insecure, petty, corrupt man who lacks basic human decency. He doesn’t have any qualms with making an enemies list and abusing his power to inflict real harm on them.
As Press Secretary Jen Psaki said, ““We are regularly making sure social media platforms are aware of the latest narratives dangerous to public health that we and many other Americans are seeing across all of social and traditional media. We work to engage with them to better understand the enforcement of social media platform policy.”
This will not stand. The courts will dropkick these ideas and policies. Sadly, those who created these illegal policies probably won’t face justice. At least perhaps they may face an election landslide.
Today it’s “disinformation”, as they deem it, about “the virus”, but the principle and scope of this message is pure, unadulterated totalitarianism. These platforms have banned legitimate questions and legitimate treatment options, we now know at the behest of a President who does not respect his oath of office at all.
What we are seeing is paranoia, conspiracy theories, and a heavy-handed authoritarianism become the constant theme of an American President who is clearly unhinged and operating as a rogue wannabe dictator. He won’t succeed, but history will rightly condemn him for trying.
Cass Sunstein- The Nudger Behind The Obama Presidency
Bill Collier- Originally posted on March 30, 2015, this article bears reposting as the same theories animate our current corrupt President- One man above all others is the force behind the new style and methods employed by President Obama: he is a man who quite literally co-wrote the book on how to use regulations to transform human nature itself.
This man’s name is Cass Sunstein. He believes, based on the book he co-wrote with Richard Thaler, that there are two kinds of humans. Homo economicus is reflective and evolved and generally makes wise decisions. Homo sapiens is instinctive and not evolved and generally makes foolish decisions. While the two authors use as much scientific jargon as possible in their book “Nudge”, and studiously avoid explicit ideological or political references, it becomes clear to critics that “homo economicus” is a progressive liberal and “homo sapiens” is a traditionalist conservative. It also becomes clear that the “libertarian paternalism” they advocate for is simply a re-branded version of the traditional progressive belief that the state in its regulatory and taxing power is the prime move of human history and progress.
Cass Sunstein is not simply an academic. He is, for all intents and purposes, President Obama’s “regulatory czar.” His ideas and theories were the very reason the President chose him to be a key player. If Sunstein’s advice is consistent with the theories behind “Nudge”, as we must assume it would be, then it is Sunstein who is the architect of the President’s approach.
Their ideological agenda, based on this notion of two species, one evolved and the other not evolved, would not be pursued legislatively but, rather, by processes that are as far removed from the “homo sapiens” as possible, and which are controlled by “homo economicus”, the more evolved human species. The objective is not to subjugate homo sapiens but, through nudging, to elevate him to the level of homo economicus. Nudging seeks to do so without denying homo sapiens free choice but only by nudging him in the right direction.
For instance, you are still free to not get health care. The only “penalty” is that you are taxed. In actuality, everyone is taxed, but those who have health care are given a tax break. That this was (allegedly) concealed during the passage of the Affordable Care Act is also consistent with the general theory. The key thing here is that free choice is actually preserved, albeit with a “nudge” in the form of a new tax that only those who have health coverage are exempted from.
The idea of using regulations, which fall into a grey area, to nudge the populace and thus bring homo sapiens into the homo economicus club has firmly taken root and the President’s innovation here is that he has gone beyond merely nudging through regulations. He has succeeded, and this without very much resistance, in pushing through many policy changes that affect millions of Americans, even against the express wishes of a supine legislature. For those who embrace progressivism and who believe we need to evolve beyond traditional conservatism, these changes are a breath of fresh air.
Using the Sunstein model of “nudging” by regulatory legerdemain, the President has transformed many aspects of US policy, at home and abroad, and has had little need for Congress. He also faces no substantive resistance from the courts. As a matter of fact, with few exceptions, the courts, thus far, have aided in his efforts, not resisted them,
Immigration reform is a de facto reality. Marriage itself is being redefined to a more progressive vision. Punishing but, progressives argue, necessary climate control regulations are being enacted. The internet itself is now a government controlled “utility.” Abroad, the US, under the current President, is conducting agreements not classified as treaties, but which are de facto treaties, without Congressional oversight: indeed the deal with Iran over its nuclear program is being kept from Congress and will not be submitted for their approval.
The nudge behind the Obama Presidency is a man who is a staunch ideological adherent himself, as is evidenced in his writings and his actions. Discerning the President’s actual belief-system from both his books and his actions, for him the progressive and secularist worldview is not merely a competing worldview with others, it is the only “valid” view.
This is a fact of life many progressives embrace: that anyone who disagrees with their version of morality and justice is not evolved and, it is argued by their opponents, needs “managed” or “nudged” into the “right” choices. What is more, the progressive thesis that the state is the prime mover of human history and progress is particularly pronounced under the current President.
This feature of a President who makes policy without the legislature’s full and hearty consent is not entirely new. Critics of President Bush pointed out, or alleged, that his was an “imperial presidency”, particularly in the realm of foreign affairs and military action. They argue that his “neoconservative” penchant for “nation building” in the name of “national security”, and with faint Congressional oversight, went too far. Indeed, even some conservative critics felt that “nation building” and “preemptive wars” smacked of the thesis that states are the prime movers of human history and progress.
The argument is made that now is the time for humankind to turn a corner, and that a benevolent “libertarian paternalism” that nudges people by regulation without totally taking away their free choice is the right path for a planned human evolution.
For those who believe in both this basic worldview of what “progress” means and that the state is the prime mover in human history, Sunstein’s model is benevolent and, what is more, efficient. In point of fact, supporters might argue that, aside from conservative ideologues, this “nudging” is having a tremendous effect. Every main agenda item and belief of the modern progressive ideology is featured and celebrated in our society while their opposites are ridiculed, shamed, and even punished, albeit socially more than legally.
It remains to be seen whether this nudging will survive as a practice into the next presidency, or even whether a more conservative President might turn the whole thing on its head and use the precedence set by this President as a weapon against the beliefs of the very people who invented it. It would certainly take a President of great moral character to forego the use of such a powerful tool that nobody, not Congress nor the Courts, has demonstrated either the ability or the will to stand up against.
In the end, the republic became a democracy and now the democracy has become something else. It is hard to put a name on it. Basically, it has become a state where a few un-elected and un-accountable bureaucrats, at the direction of the President, control the actual political action of the country, and where politics (instead of faith, culture, family, free association, the market, or community) controls everything else.
This is a condition I call a “politocracy”, a state totally ruled by politics where only a few totally control politics. This, it can be argued, is the ultimate (even if unintended) legacy of Cass Sunstein. On the other hand, if this is the case, it can be argued from the other side, that the advancement in human and societal evolution will be well worth it.
This new American reality also creates even more of a premium on winning the White House, no matter which camp you belong to. The game is now an all-or-nothing battle for the only office in the land that wields any real power, the office that appoints and directs the experts, the regulators, the next generation of Sunsteins.
The questions you must ask are these; Are these ends good ends for human society and do these ends, even if they are good, justify the means by which they are carried out?
Cass Sunstein, unknown to many, is the nudge behind the Obama Presidency. This one man is fundamentally rewriting American society, one regulatory nudge at a time. Welcome to the new America, the America of Nudge-O-nomics.
We are casting a vision for the future in which people can build distributed freedom cities as private developments and subscriber-based networks within an area. People who love freedom, want success and prosperity, and desire to fulfill their own dreams, need a way to connect and collaborate in a larger area network of relationships and associations.
Together, these networks and nodes basically resemble the emergence of a large city that is self-contained, self-sustaining, and comprehensive in its scope of services and resources. It is a city distributed within and among all the communities of a specific area but that, despite being distributed, is for all that still a fully functional city serving its netizens, online-based subscribers, and the public.
The Freedomist is all about unilateral actions to promote real freedom and prosperity that leaves nobody in any demographic or community behind. The distributed freedom city concept takes the idea of a privately developed free city, as if it was an entire city created intentionally on freedom building principles and ideals, and distributes it throughout an area in the form of a digital platform and distributed facilities where its netizens can gather and access activities, social events, services, and resources.
Instead of one city in one single place, parts of the city, as facilities that provide services or even clustered housing developments affiliated with this virtual city are distributed all over, here and there. Parts of the distributed city, in the form of physical facilities and hubs, exist here and there in every village, township, town, county, or other municipality in its service area. The netizens include eResidents, eCitizens, Freeholders, Ecclesians, Peers, Electors, and Nobles, which are different types of subscriptions based on freewill participation. These netizens of the “virtual-to-local” distributed city live throughout the area, some in clustered housing affiliated with the virtual city and most wherever they already lived before the city came into existence.
What does the city offer? Through an economy of some scale, pooling of resources, and the ability to connect thousands of people for mutual benefit and profit, the city could meet most basic human needs of its netizens (what all the different subscribers are called) and ensure the protection of their rights, persons, and property from all harm. This is mostly through legal aid, practical mutual assurance among members, clubs that meet different needs, including a safety and home security cooperative, lobbying governments, viting en bloc, and a strong media presence and web presence.
While our distributed cities may be owned/developed and managed by a local chapter organization of our society, as the administrator, they will serve a broad and pluralistic community of freedom builders and freedom seekers. This is the private city concept wherein the administrators serve the netizens as clients and customers whose free market demands form the basis of a truly democratic feedback loop. The city serves its netizens, not the other way around, or it goes bankrupt.
A freedom city is a city ruled by the Bill of Rights and the core ideas and principles of freedom for all with a strong foundation of virtue, liberty, and independence. A distributed freedom city is basically a virtual-to-local community of people within a larger area who act in harmony to build freedom for themselves and for others.
In our terminology we call these Upo Shires, using the term shire from the Middle Ages to denote an area that is within a larger Duchy or Kingdom but which is also more or less self-reliant and self-governing as well self-sustaining. The term Upo denotes the fact these distributed cities would adhere to the UPDR ideals of governance, among other concepts and practices. In old England a Shire was equivalent to a County, more or less, so we often use the term Freedom Shires to describe a County wherein most to all local officials adhere to the spirit and intent of the US Bill of Rights as the highest law and standard of the land.
But a Upo Shire as a distributed freedom city isn’t a County, it is a virtual-to-local community that resembles a freedom shire, only it’s private and being part of it as a netizen of any kind is strictly based on freewill participation. Imagine a service area for a Upo Shire, as a distributed virtual-to-local “city”, including around 12 or so Counties. Imagine then a new county was formed, based on a city, with its own name and identity, only instead of being in one place, parts of it, from its facilities and core infrastructure to its people, are placed within each of the constituent communities within all of the Counties.
Conceptually this can be difficult to fathom. The reader who thinks maybe this is a literal physical city or that it is just a virtual or imagined city without substance would be understandably confused. Our concept is different than those but also somewhat like those cities. We ensuing a city that is is planned, like most cities, albeit in stages and phases, with various types and levels of both virtual and physical developments arising both from the city planners and administrators on one hand and private initiative by netizens and constituent entities or subdivisions on the other hand.
Above is an illustration of service area for a distributed Upo City, with buildings, hubs, and netizens distributed throughout a larger area that includes all or parts of 20 some counties and more than 700,000 people.
Setting up the virtual space and holding local gatherings to impart the vision, gather city-builders and leaders, and creating a master development plan to guide both virtual and physical developments is the first major stage of development for such a distributed private city. In our case, we will gather people through an international platform called “The Virtual Commonwealth of Upadaria” (VCU) and, from those who become Peers of our international society, a core area chapter organization will emerge which will take on the city-building responsibilities.
As with everything we share, your idea of a virtual-to-local distributed city may differ from ours, and in a given area just as there are multiple physical cities, there may be multiple distributed private cities, although one hopes these multiple private cities, if they are freedom cities at heart, will cooperate and collaborate with one another.
These distributed private cities are real things, as we envision them: they will have some sort of city-center or hub, perhaps the size of large village, and multiple smaller hubs, little villages, all over as well as various facilities to serve their netizens. The city, as an incorporated entity, will own land and property. In our case, the lands are owned by a land trust operated by an area chapter organization for our mutual benefit, missions, and refugee support society, which local chapter acts as the private developer and administrator of the city.
We envision the proliferation of multiple distributed free cities, even in one area, as a step toward creating permanent and robust alternative institutions that protect the rights, persons, and property of their netizens, advance a free market, and grow prosperity.
As noted, and to reiterate, a key aspect of a private city is that it’s not a democracy, it’s basically a private entity that has clients, the netizens, who use the power of association and how they spend their money to give ongoing feedback within a free market environment. This is a perfect democracy: the consensus of the clients is always dynamically shared with the provider who either serves their needs or faces a loss of netizen subscribers.
Your version of a distributed freedom city may be more like a traditional city in its governance. Our version does have a governance structure and indeed a city government, but real ownership of assets isn’t democratic in the classic sense, it is the pure democracy of the free market.
The city itself starts as a sub-network within the virtual platform of Upadaria, but its physical aspects include an area chapter community of our society, a land trust, mutual benefit corporations, clubs, and other entities chartered and/or licensed by the area chapter organization.
The deliberate creation of these distributed freedom cities, whether or not it is through the Upadaria Platform as a catalyst and a local society chapter as the project developer, is the next evolution in the cause of advancing freedom for all that leaves nobody behind.

The steep cost of housing and a system of regulation that adds needless burdens while perpetuating non-sustainable designs over more autonomous housing designs are denying Americans fair access to housing freedom and an unencumbered family freehold.
What is housing freedom? Quite simply it is housing that is affordable and that enhances one’s personal freedom because it contains elements of food and energy freedom as well, which basically means you can produce your own food and energy without the need for external help beyond a local freewill participatory association of some kind.
A family freehold is the core property, including real estate, that is needed to sustain a family at an higher material level commensurate with an advanced modern society. To be unencumbered means it is affordable to own outright without debt, it isn’t regulated beyond absolute necessity, and it isn’t taxed.
Every American and every American family, regardless of demographic background or location, deserves afford, quality, spacious, and self-sustaining housing that enhances their quality of life, wealth, and freedom! We call this a family freehold.
Basically, the freehold is what we have in mind as the ideal for all Americans to become as materially autonomous and self-sustaining as possible so that little government control is needed and so that mega corporations cannot gain absolute monopoly power over all aspects of our culture and society.
We are seeing a housing crisis emerge, especially for younger people, that would make everyone debtors to banks, slaves to the tax collectors, and materially dependent upon government and monopolistic corporations just to survive. This is truly the front line of the battle to defeat the freedom takers and liberate the people from their exploitation and control.
While legal reform at all levels is needed and sought by Freedomists, unilateral actions and tools are also envisioned, as well as public pressure campaigns against exploitation and consumer fraud. The goal is to make it feasible for young couples, or anyone, to find and purchase their own family freehold at an affordable price and for that freehold to be quality, sustainable, and beneficial to their lives.
The perpetuation of the people cannot happen outside of a high birth rate which requires the presence of mothers and fathers who raise their own biological or adopted children together in a loving home. This isn’t an appeal to a law requiring this of anyone, it’s an observation of historical lessons which show that the devolution of family from extended families to atomized individuals doesn’t bode well for any society.
The family freehold, whether alone or, as we may recommend for saving money and pooling resources, some form of shared estate or villa (a Freehold Villa), is an affordable, quality, dwelling that has within it some of the elements that lead to food and energy freedom as well.
The problem with housing today is speculation coupled with regulations and taxes that work together to produce mammoth costs both in terms of building and the final price. The local government is incentivized to keep property “values” high in order to extract more tax revenue, so it cannot even begin to address the problem of rising prices because it benefits from that!
Some ideas we have include things like housing clubs that would help a group of people building homes save on materials while providing legal protection and local lobbying to deal with outmoded regulations and codes. Other ideas include the freehold villa and the creation of local credit unions to secure low-cost financing that is reasonable and fair.
We have to find and use gaps for freedom within existing laws and then push the boundaries of those gaps for freedom until the legal, regulatory, business, and economic ecosystem tends to produce equitable and accessible opportunities for all Americans to obtain a family freehold of their own at an affordable price.
Housing freedom itself isn’t a right, but access to obtain housing freedom through your own effort or in collaboration with others must be considered a right.
Nobody who is willing to work and invest in themselves should find obtaining housing freedom is beyond their reach in an advanced society.
