Inspiration & Empowerment

Defeating The New Totalitarianism One Neighborhood At A Time

The new totalitarianism is a weird combination of hedonistic alt-gendered self-indulgence, cancel culture bigotry, corporate monopolies, and neocommunist politicos all working together using bogeyman fears and utopian promises to alternatively bully and con the population into submission. The lust for power and control is matched by an opposite desire to be dominated and have all worries removed by some power that takes care of everything for you. This lust for power is also fueled by ego on one hand and desire to avoid personal responsibility on the other hand. It is all the worse vices working as one to advance the power of the few at the expense of the many.

Most of the fights to push back against this totalitarianism within our midst are focused on political outcomes and events, all still aimed at hoping to control who is in the highest offices. These fights are not as essential to the battle as many believe and in some ways are a distraction from the real needs and better tactics.

Totalitarianism thrives in crisis, material dependency, a concentration of wealth and power, and the loss of support for the individual through the institutions of faith, family, and community. When individuals regain material independency and restore their support through a revitalization of faith, family, and community, they destroy the reach and power of totalitarianism in their own lives and relationships. When this happens many hundreds of thousands of times, a core of liberated people emerges who have the means and resources to effect local then state and eventually national election outcomes and they hold enough economic weight that corporations who try to cancel them get canceled themselves.

Building freedom is primarily a local effort that begins with you as an individual with your own immediate family and friends connecting in order to become as self-reliant and prosperous as possible!

Do you want to be controlled by power-mad politicians and corporations whose values you find reprehensible? Or would you prefer to be governed by your own values and to enjoy the mutual support of others who deeply share your values and beliefs?

We basically believe that close-knit collaborative relationships seeking absolute mutual self-reliance and material independency require a high degree of organic cohesiveness that shallow, braod-based coalitions of people whose core values are not deeply aligned cannot obtain. The larger coalitions needed to win an election cannot be translated to the kind of close-knit collaborative relationships needed to obtain material independency within the framework of your essential spiritual and moral convictions.

One breakthrough idea we have is the concept of intentional spiritual nationhood, which is meant to enable people to create a shared identity that reflects their beliefs and allows anyone who uses that identity to easily connect with anyone else who does. When people have such a voluntary shared identity, when it reflects their own beliefs, values, and convictions, they can connect and collaborate naturally, organically, without a top-down controlling hierarchy dictating things to them.

To build such an identity we both offer principles and an example. The “Upadarian” national identity is a form of spiritual nationhood with a Christian core identity and a set of specific ideals, principles, and practices which we might say are based on convictions that aren’t essential Christian dogma but that define that national people group.

Anyone who is a Christian and who embraces the shared convictions of this “national people”, which are spelled out in “The 17 Protocols of Upadaria”, can be a Upadarian. They have nothing to join and no human hierarchy to answer to in this decision or how they will pursue it in their life. The presence of organizations and structures that are based in whole or in part on this identity should never be conflated with the identity itself.

This is the kind of organic cohesiveness needed for small and strictly voluntary groups of people to function together in order to both acheive material independency and nurture their shared beliefs, values, and convictions. It is possible for broader coalitions of people to acheive some degree of mutual self-reliance, but if your own beliefs, values, and convictions are not nurtured, the benefit of such a group is limited.

Material independency is essential to defeating totalitarianism in our lives, relationships, and neighborhoods but spiritual and sociocultural as well as socioeconomic autonomy within a nurturing and totally free-will participatory community of fellow travelers is essential to a material independency that nurtures your own beliefs, values, and convictions.

To simply be materially independent without having your own beliefs supported and valued is of little use to your own long-term spiritual and mental well-being. One needs both spiritual and cultural independency and material independency, but spiritual and cultural independency is a necessary prerequisite to the kind of material independency that makes you truly free!

Our focus is threefold in this arena of local liberation: we promote a specific form of spiritual nationhood, we nurture compatible forms of nationhood consistent with our freedom vision, and we promote broader coalitions of people for mutual support on a group-to-group, multilateral, basis.

Holding local seminars or gatherings to find the right people may be essential to our efforts to build local self-reliance.

Building a local self-reliance and mutual support community should begin with identifying and gathering people who might wish to adopt your shared form of spiritual nationhood. Once they realize that through adopting this intentional form of spiritual nationhood they can collaborate more freely and without any hierarchical control, they will be able to quickly devise ways to be more socioculturally and then materially independent.

We do explore ways people can become more independent, but the focus of this article is on the necessity of forming local ad hoc groups that have a high degree of organic cohesiveness, such as a shared form of nationhood. When you know 20 people who live near you and who share your beliefs, values, and convictions who also have your back, as you do theirs, you will see many new opportunities to become more materially independent together, through mutual efforts.

Let’s focus here on this: creating a group of 20 or more local people who are each all connected to each other for mutual benefit and support and whose beliefs, values, and convictions are in total harmony. Forget everything else for a minute; if you achieve this your options and opportunities to be more free will grow exponentially.

All these efforts to build freedom without building these close-knit local mutual-benefit and mutual self-reliance groups based on strong organic cohesiveness are like going to war without an army. Sure, large groups can be quickly drawn together if the initial cost of engagement is really low, but such groups are undisciplined mobs easily defeated by much smaller and more cohesive groups!

If you want to be free, you need a local group of people with amazing organic cohesiveness who can work together informally or formally to deliberately create material independency while nurturing their shared beliefs, values, and convictions. While we suggest the breakthrough concept of intentional spiritual nationhood as a means to obtain this end, your particular approach simply needs to ensure that the common thread for all members is a deeply held set of beliefs, values, and convictions all within some for of shared ideals, principles, and practices which become the acceptable norms and standards of the group.

If, for instance, you read and pray over and feel drawn to the 17 Protocols of Upadaria as representing your own innermost beliefs, values, and convictions then you could find people who might agree, introduce them to these things, and, for those who feel the same way, begin to build your own local group who agree to work toward mutual self-reliance and mutual support until everyone is material independent.

Through “The Blue Book of Upadaria”, we will provide some ideas and blueprints you can use, but any group who simply use the 17 Protocols can begin building mutual self-reliance and mutual support in their own way. This is entirely autonomous.

This does not mean YOU have to use our 17 Protocols. You can build your own form of intentional spiritual nationhood use some other form of organic cohesiveness. The point is that groups of 20 people or more who strive together to build mutual self-reliance are essential to building freedom and defeating totalitarianism one neighborhood at a time!

If you desire freedom and independence, you MUST decide to work toward finding those 20 or more local people with whom mutual benefit and mutual self-reliance are possible through organic cohesiveness. If you say you cannot do this because “nobody here will do that”, first, we caution that this may not be so, but, second, and if it is true, then maybe you need to move.

Through platforms like the Freedomist and other means, you can connect to other people virtually and gain some degree of support. They may also be a handy way to gather or meet local people who are outside of your present circle but who share your beliefs. What is essential in all this is to know that the closer your group of 20 or more fellow travelers are on beliefs and physical proximity the easier it will be to obtain material independency.

A NEW Dream Of Freedom For All

Or- The Upadarian Dream of Freedom, Justice, and Prosperity For All

The concept and vision we refer to as “Upadaria” comes from a series of future “historical fiction” stories presented as written in 2147 that depict the emergence of a new civilization founded on Judeo-Christian ideals which rose as Western Civilization’s decline plunged the world into massive and catastrophic upheaval. This fictional future history became the basis of envisioning new ideas and methods to build freedom in our own lives, relationships, and communities through unilateral action aimed at the restoration and modern adaptation of ancient institutions such as family, extended multi-family households, and nationhood as a spiritual, as opposed to political, construct.

“UPADARIA”, pronounced “you-pah-daria”, is a vision of freedom founded upon a basis of virtue according to historic Christian moral orthodoxy (albeit on a strictly voluntary basis), liberty according to the most generous interpretation of the original spirit and intent of the US Bill of Rights, and independence through individual and mutual material, social, cultural, and economic independency and self-reliance.

Our NEW dream of freedom for all may be revealed and explained through fictional future history, written in 2147, but it is a practical dream for a new reality we can create together, starting in our own minds and hearts, extending to our relationships and families, right now.

Freedom in our society has been reduced, simplified, and watered down to a weak, pale form of individual self-indulgence mostly limited to the ancient world’s “bread and circuses”, or subsistence and entertainment/carnal pleasure. Being on the dole and mostly being encouraged to indulge your more animalistic and shallow carnal desires isn’t freedom, it does not engender dignity, and it positively threatens to destroy your agency and fulfillment as a human created in the image of God.

While you may no doubt feel a craving for freedom, for some way to actualize who you feel you truly are or wish to be, and to not be subjected to the will of others, what you may not realize is what the key missing ingredient in your liberation is. It is something you likely do not suspect and have never before heard before. But it is something that, once actualized in your life and relationships, is practically guaranteed to transfigure your life and circumstances in a most powerful way.

What we are speaking of here is the most powerful means for actualizing human agency known throughout history and for this reason it is something that, in ever tightening circles, the ruling class have assaulted with mich vigor!

The heart of what we propose is essential to true freedom, and not the shallow “bread and circuses freedom” sold by the ruling class to keep us in bondage to them, is best described in technical terms as “organic cohesiveness” and in more traditional terms is the essential spiritual quality that permeates nationhood, tribe, clan, community, extended family, immediate family, and marriage as defined by millenia of moral orthodoxy.

While we begin with and propose a specific form of spiritual nationhood, hence “Upadaria”, the concepts of nationhood as applied down to the individual level can be used by anyone: you don’t need to buy into our particular proposed form of nationhood in order to use these ideas. However, in our presentation of nationhood as a concept, we choose to frame our proposal through the lens of our future fictional history and through our vision and plan for giving birth to a new spiritual nation.

In our new dream of freedom the focus on individual actualization of our scroll of destiny and purpose, of God’s best for our lives, is through a combination of individual spiritual sovereignty and through the warm and supportive embrace of familial type relationships that scale up to the level of entire spiritual nations of people whose God is the Lord. Our dream is strictly voluntary, based on freewill participation, therefore whoever may be critical of our approach or convictions is free to choose another way, we do not desire the use of coercive laws and diktat from the state to advance our spiritual revolution within. We only desire and demand respect for our spiritual sovereignty and for our social, cultural, and economic autonomy as free and independent human beings endowed by our God with certain and self-evident inalienable rights.

We recognize and assert that without the warm embrace of voluntary familial connections we become atomized, isolated individuals who are easy prey to any larger scale powers and interests who wish to harness our labor and make us their servants. Our breakthrough discovery is this: that nationhood as a spiritual construct was ordained by God to nurture familial connections that provide the organic cohesiveness whereby people can essentially choose not only for themselves and their own actions but for the very type of sociocultural reality and norms they wish to be self-governed by.

The new dream of freedom is a form of intentional nationhood anyone can opt into anywhere around the world but which connects people on the basis of freewill participation alone for mutual profit and support from the smallest to the largest scale. This is a very unique proposition, it just doesn’t fit into most people’s expectations or experiences, which for some is simply beyond their comprehension, having been indoctrinated to limit their realm of possibilities to such a narrow horizon. The desire and habit to equate nationhood to such shallow things as politics, citizenship in a country, race, or ancestry is so ingrained that, until the numbers of innovators grow to a larger scale, most people won’t even explore alternatives.

Nationhood is a meta-scale shared SPIRITUAL identity defined by things like ideals, principles, practices, and mandates rooted in common beliefs, values, and convictions. This is very hard to convey with mere words, it is often felt inwardly by those who finally break through the illusions set by the ruling class and who see the whole through the eyes of their spirit.

Whether it is the universal nationhood of all Believers or a diversity manifestation of Kingdom Nationhood such as Upadaria, nationhood, once seen and felt from the spirit, changes everything in relation to the external reality and begins a process of designing and building a new personal reality that cannot be stamped out by the ruling class.

The traditional, in modern terms (because there are far deeper and more ancient traditions), approach to freedom uses trite, predictable language and is overly reliant on politics and the state to advance itself. When we see nationhood as spiritual, voluntary, shared identity based on pure ideals, instead of race or politics, we can both be welcoming to many others and yet also be more selective in who we choose to identify with on the basis of love and affection as opposed to prejudice and “otherfication.”

Being for your nationhood as a way of life and shared identity is NOT about being AGAINST others and their identity and way of life. Peaceful coexistence built on mutual respect for human dignity, human rights, and human flourishing is possible when we understand and practice this more ancient form of spiritual nationhood.

What is the Upadarian nationhood based on?

At its heart, the Upadarian nationality is a form of spiritual nationhood that flows from and builds upon the foundation of the Kingdom of God which is among us, within us, and coming to future fulfillment through God’s power alone. But, beyond this, there are specific convictions that, while not essential to our core identity as followers of Yeshua, who is the Christ and Son of God, are essential to our shared identity as a spiritual nation whose God is the Lord.

The key aspect of this spiritual nation is our shared ideals, principles, practices, and mandates which we make explicit through 17 Protocols which every peer of our nation individually and in free association with others strives to actualize, albeit solely through the power, leading, and provision of God and purely on the basis of freewill participation. We are not building an organization or a hiearchy, we are not creating some class of gurus, lords, or “anointed leaders” who dictate life to other people. Nationhood is something you adopt and then willingly share with others on an equal basis, it isn’t a top-down system of control by the few over the many.

There have been over the years those who have either suspected in this vision some absurd attempt to create a church or closed-minded, insular “cult” and some who, while seemingly welcoming of the vision, so accustomed to top-down control that they desired to impose our vision! In both cases these people are victims of indoctrination by a top-down system of control perpetuated by an immoral ruling class which is emulated even within churches and other types of communities and associations.

Someone who understands and seeks to make Upadaria manifest isn’t prone to submit to any cultish or top-down control by any human being! Those who understand and use our 17 Protocols as God leads and provides do not need or desire a human master to dictate anything to them. Those who follow these 17 Protocols may join organizations and structures based on the Upadarian nationality, but they don’t have to in order to become Upadarian nationals.

Sadly, many of those who would invoke groundless accusations and epithets against spiritual nationhood, whether of Upadaria or anything else, are themselves infected with a cultish top-down mentality which has been in control of their entire existence. They project this to others while denying that they are victims of such abuse at the hands of a corrupt ruling class. The early Christians, who were and remain the eternal prototype for spiritual nationhood, faced similar problems from deluded victims of the cultish Roman imperium.

Invoking nationhood outside the expectations of political citizenship and race or ancestry to find ways to remove your thinking and your lifestyle from under the control of a corrupt ruling class will no doubt cause some to recoil a bit at this seemingly novel approach. But it is essential that we understand nationhood from the perspective of a set of ideals and principles that have their origins in spiritual truth and a spiritual identity.

Our dream of freedom and prosperity for all may have a seemingly unorthodox genesis, the use of nationhood as the organic glue that can connect many people solely on the basis of freewill participation, but the aim is for each person to walk in total freedom and obtain prosperity.

A Freehold Villa- Sustainability and Affordability To Grow Wealth and Increase Freedom

Bill Collier- The concept of a freehold villa is basically this: a group of 3-5 nuclear families and single adults connected to them dwell together in a new sort of arrangement that combines private spaces, common areas for residents, and shared spaces with non-residential members of their small group for maximum cost savings and pooling of resources. It offers the ability to become energy and food independent in a sustainable manner while also increasing everyone’s wealth and freedom through strict freewill participation in mutual self-reliance and mutual assurance.

Imagine living in a mansion-like building with lots of amenities, with your own condo, but with access to luxury you could not afford on your own, surrounded by people you feel a kinship bond with who both have your back and share your values. This sounds much better than the atomized life of being a single person or nuclear family against a chaotic and freedom-denying society.

A freehold villa is a different kind of architecture. It is luxury living for working people!

We quite literally need a rewrite of our concept of what constitutes a household of people and of who we live as well as where and how we live, as in our dwelling. The atomized life of being a lone individual or nuclear family against the world only makes it easier for the ruling class to dominate us!

We can decide both to cluster together for greater mutual support and mutual self-preservation and to increase our wealth and happiness while enjoying more luxury than we can now afford.

How it works is a group of relatives, be they by blood and/or by affection or fraternal connection, build a single self-sustaining building that has private condos for the resident nuclear families and single adults. It is limited to members of a related group, be it blood kinship or spiritual kinship based. The design includes all the individual condos for members, common spaces like a great room, pool, gym, shared office space, and kitchens, and luxury amenities for common use, and other areas such as perhaps shops owned by members, a gathering space for members who don’t live on site, and even residential and/or commercial space leased to the public to offset costs.

We can cluster together for mutual support, but it can also mean we experience a level of luxury that has never been possible for people of average income. We envision very nice, well-appointed villas shared by multiple families and single adults who have a kinship bond of some kind.

This reflects a lifestyle and architectural design change meant to enhance individual wealth and freedom unilaterally, that is, without waiting for some law or policy change that is imposed on society. At best, as a freehold villa would have a positive environmental impact, the government should offer tax and other incentives and ease laws and regulations that might make the forming of groups who undertake to build freehold villas more difficult.

You can’t really have a happy experience in such a close-knit arrangement with people who don’t share your sociocultural and perhaps even religious sentiments, values, and convictions. Therefore, residential membership especially needs to be limited to some form of blood and/or spiritual kinship where the residents truly count one another as kin in some way.

It is important to note that race-based clustered living is most certainly not what we have in mind and, moreover, we wouldn’t consider such an approach to be morally justified. When clearly blood kin are probably mostly all considered the same “race”, in most cases you will need more than blood kin to form such a cluster of people and for this a form of spiritual kinship related to shared beliefs and values alone is far superior. This can and likely will include people who aren’t considered the same race.

Freedomists believe race is a negative social construct that breeds hatred and division and should be discarded in favor of equity and equality applied to every single human being from birth to death with respect for their human rights, human dignity, and human flourishing. An inherent spiritual sovereignty endowed by our Creator requires respect for our rights to life, liberty, and property as well as the rights to pursue happiness and form our own freewill participatory associations and communities that reflect our values.

We also believe equal and fair access to affordable housing, while not a “right” per se, is a mark of an advanced civilization and a requirement of justice. We do not ever want to see our concept of clustered living and clustered housing, which is all predicated on freewill participation, become a means of segregation by race or denial of fair housing practices.

We simply believe we need and have a right to pursue clustered living and clustered housing as a solution to the present sociocultural and socioeconomic crises. We believe this is a necessary bulwark for the well-being and freedom of average people in the face of an archaic and selfish ruling class who are lost in the industrial age top-downism of the 20th century. The modern revival of an extended multi-family household cluster is essential to bolstering freedom and wealth within a society facing multiple crises.

A sustainable, green, and environmentally-friendly but luxurious villa can make people more free and prosperous while protecting them from hazards, crises, and disasters.

In such a scenario of clustered housing, the building is owned by a mutual benefit corporation (MBC) and the residential members each own shares, requisite to their private space. So someone who has a smaller place has fewer shares and pays less. But membership in the MBC is limited in some way to people who are somehow in a kinship type relationship.

A freehold villa is neither a commune where everyone just lives together in one house nor a condominium where everyone owns a separate condo. But it is in fact a single, albeit multi-family, extended household. Our society doesn’t have a concept of an extended multi-family household that is both a cluster of a few single households and is itself like a single household.

Note: you could also opt for a freehold cluster, which is a group of individual homes surrounding a common house with luxury amenities and that includes shops and commercial as well as residential space leased to the public. This may be more expensive than a freehold villa and would be more difficult in urban areas.

Clustering together in a shared space and behaving as a “household of households” is the major lifestyle change involved here. Because our goal is freedom and prosperity, this is not any sort of collective or commune, your own space is your own but you also share space and resources and you practice mutual self-reliance and mutual assurance with people who you feel kinship toward.

An urban freehold villa may build upward instead of outward and include both members’ housing and housing offered on a fair housing basis to the public. Creating sustainable “towers” in a cityscape is good for the planet and increases wealth and freedom for average people living and working in cities.

In an era of major disasters, supply chain disruptions, security challenges, upheavals and riots, and a worsening climate for freedom-minded and religious people especially, the freehold villa is a positive and concrete response that will buttress its members from these storms. You will find that the lone individual or nuclear family isn’t able to withstand these threats to their freedom and wealth without close-knit mutual support.

The freehold villa and the revival in modern form of an extended multi-family household cluster (like the ancient Oikos), is an idea well suited to our time and the architecture of a freehold villa is precisely what will make this clustered living more practical and profitable to all involved.

Coming together in a way that both respects your privacy and individuality and provides you with warm and nurturing connections with other people who are physically close by is a tangible alternative to the atomized life of decreased wealth, freedom, and happiness.

Other larger clustered housing arrangements include a freehold estate of as many as 5 of these smaller clusters, around 120 adults, or a larger single building with these 5 clusters, called a freehold castle. We do not recommend clustered housing beyond 120 or so adults as this wouls engender segregation within a locale. Moreover, we do recommend that some space offered to the public be set aside both to offset costs and prevent insularity and isolation.

Clustered living in some of kinship with other people you feel deeply connected to can, when approached with balance, promote the prosperity and freedom for all and both protect you from the many crises of our era and increase your chances of being a success.

Freedom Through Clustered Housing “Freeholds”

Freedom is the domain of the free and free people are individuals whose rights, persons, and property are respected by others but maintained through their material independence. While freedom has political implications, and there is such a thing as political freedom, freedom is more like a state of being through mostly material independence and self-sufficiency.

We introduce the general concept of extended “extended freeholds” consisting of around 10-20 or so adults who inwardly feel and behave as a family unit, even if they aren’t related by blood, and who share or individually own enough resources to ensure the basic physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of every participant.

Within the Upadaria project, we refer to these Extended Freeholds as Kinship Groups and their facilities as either Estates with multiple houses or Villas with multiple condos in a single building.

This is a sort of cohousing idea, albeit with much more privacy and much less collectivism. An Extended Freehold, or a Upo Estate or Villa, is not a collective but it does use a combination of intentional extended kinship, cooperation, collaboration, and organcic cohesiveness to save money and pool resources while nurturing a shared way of life.

The Kinship Mandate

WE IMPART THE PRACTICES AND VIRTUE OF KINSHIP

We form small, extended familial groups and practice mutual care and support with our relatives, fellow Upadarians, and fellow Believers according to a Biblical blueprint. We refer to these as Kinship Groups wherein we view the success and well-being of those we are connected to as equally important as our own.

The 17 Protocols of Upadaria, Protocol Eight

This concept of extended and intentional kinship is essential in times like these when all the meta-structures of society engender abject dependency by the individual who is separated and isolated from others because of a radical individualism that, ironically, is paving the way to collective top-down control by the few over the atomized and undifferentiated many.

The all-out assault on the moral and sociocultural foundations for a society wherein most people are raised in a loving home by a mom and dad, and an extended family and community, is aimed at dividing people so much that only a mass of atomized and undifferentiated individuals remain. Such a divided mass of atomized individuals is quite easy to control through top-down social, economic, cultural, and political structures.

An Extended Freehold Villa may look like a mansion with 3-5 condos for families and 2-3 single adult residences with common areas for residents and non-resident members of a mutual benefit society represents a new architecture and a new mode of living that nurtures the individual without smothering them.

With the possible exception of well-off people who can afford all the accouterments of material self-sufficiency, and staff, most average people CANNOT swim against this tide or resist its material pressures on their own WHILE maintaining a high level of prosperity. Additionally, most cannot afford the luxuries a small group of 10-20 adults could afford through pooling resources and/or doing some of the work cooperatively themselves.

The concept of an extended freehold comes back to a freehold as a piece of land and connected assets whereby a family could 100% meet is basic needs. The extended part of it comes from the fact that a few families, around 20 adults in total, who cluster together near each other or on the same “freehold” of a few acres or partial city block, can become fairly self-sufficient.

We speak of clustered housing as opposed to cooperatives, communes, and cohousing, although strictly speaking an extended freehold may be partially classified as cohousing. This concept of an extended freehold as a household group consisting of a few nuclear families and single adults who are part of those families and a number of non-residential members of a mutual benefit society is far from any form of collectivization. It actually nurtures and supports the individual, giving them more freedom than they ever could have as an atomized individual under a meta-scale, top-down system of control.

An extended freehold might be a group of families who live near enough to each other to build the tools for self-reliance such as food and energy production. Again, within the Upadaria project we call these freehold groups “kinship groups” and their physical space an Estate or a Villa. But this is a form of an extended Freehold

Ideally, this concept envisions people in these household groups doing some sort of clustered living arrangement where perhaps there are 5-10 homes and/or apartments clustered around a Common House with food and energy production in the center as well. Or it may be a single mansion-like building with 5-10 condos connected to common areas featuring luxury appointments.

The legal structures to make this happen include a mutual benefit society (501 c 8, IRS defined “fraternal benefit society”), mutual benefit corporations, mutual assurance funds, a land trust, and/or other entities as needed. Two points are necessary here: we have researched some of the particulars and legal structures but, secondly, this short essay is only conceptual.

Basically, we call this “clustered living” in terms of lifestyle and “clustered housing” in terms of the physical infrastructure. What is important here is that if you don’t begin to seriously consider clustered living and, eventually, clustered housing, that you will find that maintaining your freedom and prosperity gets harder and harder.

The very basis of the new authoritarianism within the West is to atomize society in a massive “divide and conquer” power move. You refusing to countenance the need to cluster together with people who share your beliefs, values, and convictions is exactly what the people who think they own you want you to do. Stay atomized, stay vulnerable, stay enslaved.

The extended freehold as a concept allows you to cluster together with such people and build the local means of your own material self-sufficiency, which is the greatest defense against the socioeconomic pressures that are brought to bear when you defy the top-down power agenda. It is the most practical counter to authoritarianism that is reactive but proactive, it doesn’t just slow the trend toward authoritarianism, it reverses it.

The Dire Need For Extended Kinship Beyond The Nuclear Family

Why are things like marriage, the nuclear family, and happy childhoods so under threat of extinction and what did we all get wrong in raising our own children too quickly, at age 18, become autonomous beings cut off from the family home?

We emphasize freedom. But most people think freedom is purely an individual thing. However, in practical terms, if freedom is only an individual thing, then every lone individual or detached nuclear family stands as a sole figure against mega forces, like monopoly corporations and the central government, and the vagaries of life and nature, defenseless and vulnerable.

Freedom must necessarily include shared identity and the shared sovereignty to define that identity in terms and according to standards reflective of the individual’s beliefs, values, and convictions. This is not something the culture of today even grasps, which is why the atomization of individuals and their emotional and economic vulnerability is only getting worse.

This leads to the introduction of something we have lost in our culture, not merely an extended family of around 20 or so adults clustered near each other, but a cluster of such extended family groups consisting of around 120 adults which is self-contained, self-sustaining economic and sociocultural unit, a fractal of an entire nation or even an entire civilization.

The Shirehold

WE INTENTIONALLY PRACTICE EXTENDED KINSHIP

People are not made to be isolated and separated. Life in the Kingdom is not just about what we do individually, but how we live with others. Our lifestyle is an expression of agape love in family, community, and collaboration. A Shirehold is an intentional multifamily extended household community in close geographical proximity.

From The 17 Protocols of Upadaria, Protocol Seven

Clustering together with people you warmly feel kinship toward is essential to both personal freedom and shared freedom that shields you from external influence and control that isn’t in your best interest. We can say, regardless of the politics of the hour, that without a deliberate restoration of this kind of extended kinship, at the scale of a tribal band or village, freedom itself will continue to fade and centralized top-down control will increase until we are all atomized cogs in a machine that uses us like a commodity.

When family as an idea lost that sense that it was, organizationally, a self-sustaining and self-contained socioeconomic unit, a fractal of the whole national people and of civilization, it became insular and fragmented. Only self-actualization and the benefits, of love and affection, for the individual mattered.

It’s not that tribal bands of around 120 adults and their extended households of around 15 adults didn’t in some way also emphasize these benefits to the individual. The more healthy ones did and likely endured for centuries. But in practical, material matters, the outsider would see them as economic or corporate bodies as well as social and cultural familial groups.

When people mostly see family as two adults under the same roof or a single person and children, and when they only “marry for love”, then the atomized little “family” is hopelessly weak and incapable of meeting its basic needs without dependency on external structures. When the FEELING of love decreases this “family” is split or when external pressures grow beyond what two people can bear, there is suffering and even a potential breakdown.

In the Upadarian sociocultural and spiritual belief system, what we call a Shirehold, as a community of individuals within extended multi-family household groups, is for us the essence of family and such family ought to cluster together in the same physical space wherever possible. As some say, “family can be anything you want”, we agree, and while we certainly don’t want to compel anyone to adopt our Shirehold model for what family means, we also desire to be free and do so in peace.

Extended multi-family kinship groups connected to each other as a community of such groups, what we call a Shirehold, is for us the core constituency for our civilization. It, and only it, is a fractal of the whole civilization. While the individual, the nuclear family, and the kinship group of around 20 or so adults are essential elements of the Shirehold, the Shirehold is for us the true family. It is this and nothing less than this.

We are not proposing that people who don’t buy into this and whose idea of family differs aren’t families. Family, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. But for us, family isn’t its elements alone, like the individual and a nuclear family, it is this collaborative and mutualist community of around 120 adults who have a high degree of organic cohesiveness.

The argument against, say, having a cluster of around 30 to 50 nuclear families and related single adults living in the same space exclusively together, is rooted in the fair housing law. This law is in many ways perfectly useful, in principle and spirit. It prevent discrimination in housing. But its focus is too narrow, it isn’t based on the core fractal of human civilization. This fractal isn’t the nuclear family, it is these 120 adult extended kinship communities.

A Shirehold estate of a few houses and apartments belonging to a mutual benefit corporation owned by Shirehold members is essentially a self-contained sociocultural and socioeconomic body or, as we say, the core constituent entity and fractal of human civilization. Without this fractal being alive and well, civilization will further devolve in every way. Atomization leads to dissolution.

As noted, what we call the Shirehold is the smallest possible fractal of an entire civilization. Our concept of pluralism is based on kinship groups of people who cluster together as a household community, that is, a self-sustaining sociocultural and socioeconomic fractal of civilization.

Throughout history, most of these tribal bands of around 120 or so adults had a form of kinship not connected to blood. In most cases where remains can be tested, where one of these bands existed, the blood ties of their members were not prevelant. In other words, kinship wasn’t usually limited to blood kin. Wheoever shared your values and shared in the common good was kin.

There are potential pitfalls and real tradeoffs in seeking to revive this extended multi-family household community in the form of something like a Shirehold community.

In the past, extended multi-family households tended to relegate women to menial roles, though this was neither universal nor essential to the model. Additionally, there is the problem of feeling surrounded and suffocated or even feeling controlled or limited. This isn’t a feature of healthy Shireholds, by whatever name you call them, but of unhealthy ones. Stratified gender roles and interference with individual spiritual sovereignty are not essential to or an inevitable feature of these tribal bands, extended multi-family household communities, or, as we call them, Shireholds.

But it is true that when you decide to be connected to other people there are some seeming limits on your own scope of choices. The tradeoff of total individual autonomy is loneliness and vulnerability to mega corporations and the government, against whose mechanisms of influence and control you have no defense.

Shireholds would be massively empowering to individuals, give you more say in the social and cultural as well as economic milieu of your life than ever before, and shield you from external mechanisms of influence and control that pressure you to conform to things not suitable to your interests or values.

They would, however, spell the end of your lone ranger life and require some level of commitment and participation in the lives of others. Nothing good is free of any cost or inconvenience, but the tradeoff is always well worth the cost. The benefits are far greater than whatever you have left behind.

We argue that something like a Shirehold community is essential to the individual, marriage, the nuclear family, and childhood. It is also essential to a prosperous, healthy, and free society. If we desire to build freedom anew we have to find a way to develop these intentional Shirehold communities based on some form of organic cohesiveness that is strictly based on freewill participation by consensus among equal peers.

Around 120 adults, and whatever other connections they have as a body to other adults, living in close harmony, both physically and spiritually, both socioculturally and economically, is the core fractal and constituent entity of any nation of people, of the area-wide Ecclesia as a spiritual city-state of the Elect, of any country, of any civilization, and of the entirety of human civilization.

This is a shared conviction and value, it’s neither a doctrine nor a proposed law. The same concept of a single house or apartment and a single nuclear family applies to these Shirehold communities which may include 30 or 50 houses/apartments in a clustered living space with its own economic and material self-reliance resources capable of ensuring the physical well-being of every member. Legally, the ability of individuals to form such communities as an extended multi-family household community based on some form of adoptive kinship, should be as sacred as any human right.

The ability and power to choose and be part of a clustered living arrangement of around 120 adults who have a shared kinship of some kind must be asserted and respected by the greater society as it should any form of family people desire. The arbitrary limitation on what constitutes a family is a form of intolerance and bigotry against a broad spectrum of choices each individual should be free to make.

An entire book could be written about the Shirehold: what it is, why it must exist, why it is essential to Christian culture and a Biblical lifestyle, what its advantages and costs are, its governance in the modern world, its structures and functions, and why its right to exist must be codified into laws which only envision single home “families” and which do not take into account multi-house familial living arrangements where “family” is much larger than a nuclear family.

We do not propose these Shireholds as a racial or genetic construct: they would best be purely voluntary freewill participatory kinships based on a shared identity rooted in a common set of beliefs, values, and convictions. In our case, we propose a form of intentional spiritual nationhood within the larger universal nationhood of all Believers in Yeshua.

Our ideal communities are pluralistic communities made up of diverse individuals and nuclear families who still use the Western model of individualism and diverse clustered living estates or neighborhoods for different types of multi-family extended household communities, what we call Shireholds.

The only reason we want these estates, which are where Shireholds would cluster together, to be more or less exclusive to members of the same Shirehold is because, for us, a Shirehold is the basic family unit, while the individual, the nuclear family, and the kinship group are all elements of this family unit.

We recognize the danger of discrimination in housing, but this danger can be mitigated through a legal limit on the size of an estate, much as a single house can limit who lives there. An estate conjointly owned through a mutual benefit corporation whose shares must be owned by people of the same Shirehold, for instance, doesn’t discriminate any more than a single house occupied exclusively by members of the same nuclear family.

We further recommend that a Shirehold estate have space for helping internal refugees and asylees as well as offer housing and retail space to the public to offset costs for members. These housing options would certainly not discriminate in any way.

Regardless of all that, people clustered together as an extended multi-family household community of around 120 adults will form the basis of the emergent civilization. These structures will endure through whatever upheavals and crises will come because the old and dying civilization that surrounds us continues its detachment and atomization.

The development of these Shireholds as our basic family model and their eventual clustered living lifestyle as a single self-contained and mutually self-reliant sociocultural and socioeconomic body of people is essential to building resilient freedom. The ultimate proof against corporate and/or government gigantism and centralized control of your life is the restoration, in modern form, of what were once self-contained tribal bands.

Don’t Let Others Control Your Narrative

By Bill Collier- Own your own narrative, don’t give it to others. People will misread you, ascribe wrong motives to you, misunderstand you, misrepresent you, and judge you falsely. They will create a narrative about you and even try to make you agree with their narrative about who and what you are, what you did or didn’t do, why you did or didn’t do it, and what that says about your character or intentions. They have no such right and you owe them nothing.

A strong desire to experience affection and acceptance is common to most people and this often causes us to be very concerned about how others feel toward us or what they think about us. So we find ourselves as focused on the appearances of what we do as on what we do, which begins to consume more energy than the things we are doing.

Although I often say “relationships are the brass ring of life”, the weakness of this idea comes when our desire for those relationships clouds our thinking to such a degree that we are trying to ensure not only that our actions make these people happy but that they also appear in the best light. This is high energy focus directed at the wrong things and it is a fool’s errand.

When you feel uneasy or stressed it is usually for fear of some kind of unpleasantness, which could be a loss or hazard or just something that doesn’t feel good to us. If in our minds we get a “high” from people liking us and thinking well of us, then we will experience unpleasantness when we feel rejected or neglected.

My life has become a pressure cooler experience for lots of reasons, and I am sure many of you have the same thing happen at times. But one good part of these pressure cooker experiences is that they bring a certain clarity as to who and what should be paid attention to, or how much energy should be used.

That friend who is so easily offended or needs constant attention or reassuring and who essentially threatens your relationship over small to medium “infractions” becomes unessential. In your pressure cooker experience, their expectations, even if reasonable but beyond your present emotional or time constraints, are just not worth adhering to. So, sadly, they may threaten to or actually move on and whereas you may have once had the energy to assuage them, now you just let them go.

All this tends toward a more inner focus, hopefully toward Christ within us, but definitely away from the voices and demands of others. When we don’t have the psychic, emotional, or physical energy to give yourself to meeting other’s expectations and when they therefore cast judgements upon us, we find it easier to move on and ignore them. It’s not that this makes us happy to do, it doesn’t, but in comparison to whatever has you in a pressure cooker experience, it’s just not nearly as important as it once was.

Sitting around playing scenarios in your head about why someone misjudged you or, worse, and this is our focus here, doubting your own narrative about yourself is a “crazy making” exercise. In a pressure cooker experience if you want to get through it daily, you begin to either lose the energy to do this or, if you persist in this, you begin to lose functionality in life in general.

Your narrative about yourself should come from your relationship with Jesus Christ and your best understanding of God’s Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit. If you understand who you are, what you are, and why you are in God’s mind, then you begin to craft your own narrative, a story of adventure and overcoming, that describes your past, defines your present, and guides your future.

You will make mistakes and sometimes your motivation may be suspect. You don’t want to become so full of yourself that you don’t welcome criticism or evaluate yourself on the basis of a truth standard. But these things don’t define or change your narrative about yourself and your story about who and what you are.

Getting to a place where you genuinely care about other people but you don’t obsess or put too much energy into what they think or feel about you, or how they want to define you, is a process of controlling your own focus. Thoughts of what others think or feel about you can come unbidden, it’s just natural. But what we give ourselves to focus on is mostly up to us.

One technique I have used is to interrogate those feelings to see if in this opinion others express about me there isn’t some truth. Some of my harshest critics and haters, who meant me no good will at all, have offered me a chance to see a hint of truth in their over-the-top accusations which I have leveraged to make improvements.

I have at times experienced being “misjudged” and sidelined in what I saw as an underhanded way because I was unable to make certain truthful things about myself visible in a convincing way. I was misread and probably misrepresented in my capabilities and resources, perhaps even my intentions, by people who should have known better.

Each time my focus returned to the core truth behind the broader lies. The core truth may have been that I was not very good at presenting myself or something about me or I wasn’t digiligent enough to avoid a minor mistake that my opponents used to justify tearing me down and rejecting me. Often our harshest critics and haters have actually siezed on something of substance and we should be thankful for the opportunity to see this and deal with it.

This is different from someone trying to define a narrative about you that isn’t what you believe about yourself. It is true that only God truly knows your heart, but this doesn’t mean anyone other than you is better at knowing your heart, nor that they speak for God.

I have lived a life more in public that most people and my actions and words have been seen my hundreds of thousands of people at different times. My life has been an open book and people have sometimes used this to paint and untrue and malicious narrative about my life. Every word or deed I have ever done in public, and most have been in public, becomes a potential for an opponent to misrepresent and twist around in the worse possible light.

The fact I have always believed in trying over and over until you succeed has even led to me being accused of either being a failure or being a schemer. The internet is littered with the debris of countless efforts to actualize the inner push of my life and I bear absolutely zero shame about it! The fact it has seemed to come together of late, over the past few years, may make some think I got lucky, but essentially my strategy was to keep trying and surviving until the dice rolled my way.

Regardless of what the future brings, whether more success or failures and setbacks, the narrative of my life belongs to God who has given it to me. If you think my narrative is a bunch of hooey, that’s all fine, I cannot give myself over to feeling any concern about that.

My own history is largely ruled by my own predilection toward being concerned with what people think and feel about me. I want warm and loving affection and unconditional acceptance of my personage probably more than most people, though I may be wrong about that. For this reason, the many times others have totally changed my narrative into a hideous caricature of weirdness, bad intentions, or whatever based on lies or misreading things, or taking things too far and inflating them out of proportion, have been painful.

Again, because I often do things on a larger scale seen by more people, I have had what I think is a high dosage of this sort of narrative hijacking that can totally invalidate a person even in their own eyes.

Why do I like military things, is it because I am a warmonger? Why am I so ultra-conservative in my life, is it because I am intolerant of others? Why do I strongly prefer being self-employed, is it because I have a problem with authority? Why do I say I have a grand purpose connected to historical processes, is it because I am full of myself?

On one hand, I truly desire and actually do live my life openly and publicly with a lot of transparency but on the other hand I have struggled with what others think and feel about me and I have been devastated when they said things about me that were not a reflection of my narrative about myself.

What has begun to happen, and what I am sharing for your edification, is that I realize I cannot necessarily change what I feel or desire so much as I can choose what I focus my energy and time on. It still stings when someone tries to hijack my narrative and defines me in a way that isn’t fair or truthful, but what I choose to do, after I have already interrogated that feeling to find any grain of useful criticism, is to focus on other things.

I find that the longer I put my focus elsewhere, the less a situation upsets me and if this happens quickly I realize how unimportant that situation is in relation to my own journey.

What is your narrative, how do you define yourself and your ambitions, and how do you define your journey and destination? I would counsel you to go to the well of God’s presence, to search the Scriptures, and to seek the leading of the Holy Spirit until you feel you have a solid understanding of these things. Find how God in His mind defines you and consciously seek to align your behavior, words, and choices with that person. Vocalize who you are in such terms.

The other thing I do is simply choose to connect mostly with people who, while they may critique me, I feel and know are essentially on my side. They are people who are “for” me, they are people who believe my narrative is substantially true even when I do not perfectly follow it. My inner circle don’t expect perfection from me, but neither do they accept when I go against my own narrative or drop the ball. I don’t have to worry about how they feel about me and when they do critique me, I can trust they are coming from a good place.

At times I am forced, by necessity, especially in business, to deal with people who frankly aren’t the kind of people I would place in my inner circle. But my goal is always to get closer and closer to a place where all my relationships and associations are with the kind of people who could become inner circle people in my life.

I have either turned down or let go of major “opportunities” when the people I would need to be connected to aren’t fair or decent toward me for whatever reason, even if my own mistakes contributed to the situation. In other words, I can refuse to blame people for misunderstanding me or thinking the worst of me while also choosing to limit my connections to people who wouldn’t ever do that to anyone else.

So in my focus, when people not liking me or believing false things about my narrative begins to bother me I try to focus on other things, even if it’s s funny video. I also try to spend my time and energy with people who will both critique me and nurture my own narrative about myself.

The people in my inner circle aren’t easily offended, don’t threaten the relationship for anything but a very serious breech (and very few things qualify as such), don’t cosign my nonsense, tend to interpret my actions in a most charitable way, give me the benefit of the doubt, challenge me to get better, but also nurture and celebrate my narrative about myself. The reverse is also true.

I don’t have time for non-essentials and, right now, under the current pressure cooker experience I am going through, I barely have time or energy for anything beyond very basic survival and taking care of essential business. My life doesn’t give me the luxury of being terribly reliable for anything that isn’t truly mission critical, which includes both my mission and that of those who are in my inner circle.

The control of your narrative belongs to God and then you, in that order, and anyone outside of you and God has no right to think that they know you better than God knows you and you know you. Avoid such people of you can, ignore their judgements by focusing on other things if you must deal with them. But you own your narrative, God and you, nobody else!

Freedom Manifesting In A Trust Community

Who can you trust during those times when you are vulnerable or when a crisis vurges on a major tragic upheaval? For most people, there is no good answer to this question. For most people, trust beyond perhaps their immediate nuclear family is difficult, they just aren’t sure who really is on their side without an ulterior motive.

A trust community is a larger body of people who are reasonably confident that through shared identity and participation they can trust one another. For practical reasons, they tend to live within reasonable driving distance of each other. We may not know everyone in a trust community personally, but we know that if they have been confirmed as members of the community by people who do know them that they have the kind of character, integrity, and values that make them trustworthy.

Our concept of a Trust Community comes from Protocol Six of The 17 Protocols of Upadaria.

A Trust Community

WE PRACTICE THE WAYS OF A TRUST COMMUNITY CENTERED ON YESHUA, THE CHRIST

Through intentionally building trust communities, Believers can connect with others for mutual profit, support, empowerment, liberation, and fulfillment of purpose.

– From The 17 Protocols of Upadaria, Protocol Six

The entire concept of what we call “the Upadarian Revolution” is unilateral change from within our own lives, relationships, and associations that never seeks to impose itself through politics or force on other people. This is important in the concept of a trust community, because while these communities use the language of a distinct village, town, or city, they aren’t political entities and their members consist only of those who freely desire to participate in them.

A trust community is a larger than neighborhood scale collection of people who use trust as their basis of connection and freewill participation. A trust community is capable of providing for most all the basic needs of its participants and of assuring the safety and sanctity of their liberty, their well-being, and their wealth and property from all hazards. To be part of a trust community you share an identity with others and the basis of that identity are the ideals, principles, and practices you all agree are the common standards and norms of behavior, of relationships, and of your association.

Imagine a city of, say, 100,000 souls, like the heart of London, and 30 square miles of land distributed in chunks and pieces throughout an area of 1,000 square miles containing 800,000 people. This is a larger-scale trust community embedded within an entire area, distinct and unique in its diversity expression of community, but also connected to the whole area as a constituent community.

This may sound rather theoretical, but the implementation of trust community is practical and to be intentional about creating such communities is a very peaceful, revolutionary act. It removes much of your social, cultural, and economic life from the influence and control of a corrupt ruling class who are presiding over a dying civilization and its abusive structures.

Our ideal larger scale trust community is a Shire, a term from old England that basically became equivalent to a county but that invokes the idea of an area which is self-contained, self-sufficient, and self-governing but which is an interdependent part of a larger commonwealth. Another way we present this is through a concept we call a distributed private city, a city-like organizational structure that has various facilities and participants spread all throughout an area that has many physical cities.

At the smallest level, the trust community is like an intentional community that just has parts of itself, as well as its individual participants, spread throughout a local area. They may not all live within the same plot of land, but they have structures and associations they regularly participate in that essentially give them the self-reliance of an intentional community.

One of our key breakthrough ideas, and one we often repeat, is that trust community requires something equivalent to a shared national identity. And by this we do not mean race or ancestry, nations are far more than collections of people whose common trait is race or ancestry. In their purest form, nations are ideals and values that are freely adopted as the basis of a shared identity.

A trust community without something equivalent to a shared nationality either begins to become disjointed as people argue over basic assumptions and norms or it stays together through a strong-armed, top-down system of control. If that something that connects everyone isn’t fairly cohesive in terms of ideals and values, then only some use of manipulation, control, or coercion will keep it together. A trust community has no manipulation, control, or coercion, what keeps it together is trust and that trust organically flows from shared ideals, principles, and practices.

We use the term “organic cohesiveness” to describe the cohesiveness of a trust community and even a spiritual nation. In our approach, the broader trust community is based on freedom ideas and standards but the heart of the community consists of a core of people who share our spiritual nationality as their own nationality. What makes this cohesiveness organic, as opposed to artificial, is that it comes through strictly voluntary freewill participation in a commonly shared identity based on shared ideals and values.

Trust communities are based on nested shared identities, so they can be diverse and pluralistic in their broader application and close-knit and unanimous in their more narrow application. It isn’t either-or. Christians can connect over an entire area and behave together like a spiritual city-state. People who love freedom, Freedomists, can form area and county level freewill participatory associations called Freedom Shires which focus on upholding the rights, persons, and property of themsleves and their fellow citizens.

A Upadarian trust community is a Shire which includes constituent communities called Cantons, Villages, and Manors. These are all groupings of people who at some level adopt the shared Upo, Ecclesian, Freedomist, or Upadarian identities. Thinking in these terms of a massive shift away from the atomized life and from assumed identities that may not reflect your innermost beliefs, values, and convictions.

When someone is using trust community and connected to others, they see themselves as virtual or spiritual citizens of a distributed city-state that has its own social, cultural, economic, and civic structures and associations that are not controlled by the present civilization’s ruling class.

Building economic structures where trade and commerce are governed by the ideals and values you believe in cannot just be an individual thing. You need virtual and physical spaces to conduct business and norms and standards everyone agrees to follow with integrity. A trust community creates these things and, through something like a subscription or membership, funds the kinds of spaces needed for this activity.

What we are proposing with a trust community is that we have to be quite intentional about our larger scale activities with people who are within driving distance of each other and who share the same ideals and values. Our platform helps people make these area-level connections and formalize them through prescribed frameworks and blueprints, including decision-making processes and even physical facilities.

If we want to be part of a society and nation we can proudly say are centered on Yeshua, we should be intentional about connecting and associating with people of like convictions to create our own internal social, cultural, economic, and civic structures, resources, and services that aren’t controlled by anyone but us. Our concept of trust community applies broadly to any body of people whose organic cohesiveness is such that it distinguishes them from a society whose values they cannot cosign or support and certainly don’t want to be governed by.

It is a practical and existential necessity to build trust communities when the society in which you live operates and is governed by values which, if you were to follow them, would violate your own beliefs, values, and convictions.

Through a practical application of trust community it is not our intention to reform or change society, it is our intention to sow the seeds of a new spiritual nation as the vanguard people of a new civilization. Our peaceful and spiritual revolution is all about unilateral change from within ourselves, our relationships, and our associations.

Living Regency: From Individual Spiritual Sovereignty to Regional Freedom Building Networks

Regency is a word that basically has two meanings in our vernacular: it speaks to our individual spiritual sovereignty as Yeshua’s joint-heirs and ambassadors on this earth and it also describes a regional network of such regents which provides support for its peers and serves the populace at large within its service area.

Regency as a concept is all about us as individuals embracing our role and spiritual sovereignty as ambassadors of Christ, as joint-heirs, and as kings and priests unto the Lord. Regency as a structure describes a regional chapter organization of the Upadarian Society and a regional network of people who subscribe to the Upadaria platform. Both aspects of regency as we use the term are inter-related and speak to a deeper truth about freedom, which is that we not only own this spiritual sovereignty as individuals but, through freewill participation, we own the authority to choose the spiritual, sociocultural, and sociocultural substance and norms which will govern our lives, relationships, and associations.

We gain this insight into regency as a both a specific aspect of our Kingdom-centered, Christian freedom-building platform and as broader freedom-building concept from the 17 Protocols of Upadaria, namely Protocol Five.

WE EXERCISE OUR INDIVIDUAL AND CORPORATE REGENCY TO PROVIDE A REFUGE TO OURSELVES AND OTHERS

As Believers, by practicing individual and corporate Regency through the framework of our spiritual nation, we serve as Kings and Priests who sovereignly steward all God has entrusted through a network of trust communities called Shires.

– From The 17 Protocols of Upadaria, Protocol Five

A key aspect of regency is the idea of refuge, which shows up in the Upadarian lifestyle and governance philosophy as “The Refuge Mandate”, but here we are looking at the regional development of the idea actualized within a supporting structure. Regency supports refuge.

When we exercise our spiritual sovereignty, individual regency, we experience an inner refuge from all external influence and control that connects us supernaturally to God and preserves our inner man from everything outside of Yeshua. When we develop this idea into a regional combination of such “regents” who are intentionally exercising their regency, we start to realize concrete, physical spaces wherein the follower of Yeshua and Peers of our spiritual nation can all find real refuge.

A Regency in our parlance is a specific term that applies to a regional virtual-to-local network within our platform and a regional chapter organization for our planned Society. In both cases, the organizational structure is a reflection of our substantive efforts to empower individuals to practice and experience regency within a broad support system that includes physical spaces, like common facilities and even clustered housing developments.

In many ways we can describe a Regency as a sort of ideal “province within the provinces”, like a larger regional subdivision of a country that is distributed throughout another region but that has a distinct and separate identity as well as spiritual, sociocultural, and socioeconomic life. This isn’t separation. It is both automous in a spiritual and sociocultural sense especially and yet totally connected to and supportive of the larger regional grouping of communities within its service area.

Regency at an individual level is easier to grasp. It’s basically you actualizing the fact you are a regent of the King. Your roles as a regent of the King include being nurtured and transformed into a joint-heir with Yeshua who is the Christ and Son of God, being a spiritually sovereign being made in the image of God, and actively pursuing your own and shared scroll of destiny and purpose (wyrd) which comes from God.

Often Christian writers will focus on calling and destiny. We go deeper and broader in two ways: we consider destiny and purpose as a whole-life mission and experience and we consider also shared destiny and purpose which you enter into solely on the basis of freewill participation as you believe God leads you.

But regency as a structure manifesting individual regency at scale is a regional network like a sort of smaller contiguous province distributed within a larger region and acting as both a socioculturally autonomous network of communities and individuals and yet also as a vibrant and connected part of the whole region. Regency as a structure creates a much larger network of regents that can substantively support the individual in ways nothing of a smaller scale can.

One root of this concept comes when we consider the whole book of Galatians. Historians and scholars debate the exact location or boundaries of this Galatia but almost all agree that it was a decent-sized regional identity, connected possibly to the ancient “Kingdom of Galatia”, but an area whose exact boundaries likely crossed over prinvoncial borders. The concept of an “Ecclesia” as a spiritual city-state of the elect spanning such a region, wherein each of the cities and areas in the region also had their own Ecclesia, informs our concept of a Regency.

The “Galatian Christians” and their regional network of spiritual city-states composed a sort of spiritual province whose King is Yeshua that was distributed throughout the Galatian region, a region that probably spanned prvoncial borders within the Roman Empire. So for us, a Regency is a distributed spiritual province consisting of everyone who is a peer of our spiritual nation and everyone who is a subscriber to our virtual platform but that serves all fellow Christians and the whole population within its service area.

As we work our way down from the regional to the individual level, we find that a Regency is made up of many different entities and structures, from Shires down to Shireholds and Kinship Groups. A Regency provides a regional networking and governance structure so that many individuals and different organizations and communities of people can cooperate and collaborate for shared purposes and mutual profit without a centralized, top-down over-controlling hierarchy.

The purpose of a Regency includes being an effective witness and influence for Yeshua to everyone in the regional service area, providing governance support and standards oversight to Upadarian peers, organizations, structures, and communities within the region, creating sociocultural and socioeconomic structures that engender total material and economic freedom for all participants, ministry and benevolence to the poor and needy, and physical refuge for local Christians in crisis and external Christian asylees, basically all refugees, who are in need.

Freedom-builders of various religious or philosophical backgrounds and convictions can use the same basic model so that a single region may have multiple virtual/distributed Regencies which could all cooperate on the basis of freedom fundamentals, like the US Bill of Rights in their original spirit and intent.

A Upadarian Regency is like a smaller province, somewhat autonomous of its larger Commonwealth (as an empire of freedom predicated on virtue, liberty, and independence with justice and equality for all), distributed throughout smaller charter communities and chapter groups within the whole region it serves.

The basic governance structure of a Regency includes a plurality of leadership, the regional operation of the nine governments, and the participation of its peers as well as a feedback system for its subscribers. The titular head and public face of a Regency is its Regent, who heads the regional Regium government but the Lord Protector of the Magisterium and the Proconsul of the Ethnium are also co-leaders while all are subjected both to the Crown Republic (a territorial chapter equivalent to a small country) and to a special Regency Council of 120 Electors chosen by lot.

Unlike the international virtual commonwealth, the 9 governments are concentrated in three: the Regium is still just the Regium, the Magistrate includes the Governate, the Agorate, and the Civitas, and the Ethnium includes the Societas, the Ecclesium, and the Comunis.

The Regium includes the Regency Tribunate of a High Tribune and 120 Tribunes who manage and oversee judicial issues and conflict between various entities within the Regency, a Regency Council of 120 Censors headed by the Regent, and the other two heads of government, including the Lord Protector and the Prconsul.

The Magisterium includes a Regency Senate made up of two Senators appointed by the Vicegerents of a Shire (or equivalent) and a Magisterial Council consisting of a Chancellor who assists the Lord Protector, and Minsters who heads such Regency Minsitries as Administration, the Governate, the Agorate, and the Civitas. These in turn have specific Departments but all Department Heads and Ministers are considered equal within the Magisterial Council.

The Ethnium includes a Regency Assembly consisting of 200 Delegates chosen by 200 roughly equal-sized Caucuses of everyone within the Regency’s service area who is an Elector or higher. The Ethnium also includes a Ministerium which includes the Administrative, Societas, Ecclesium, and Comunis Ministers and their Department Heads.

To support a Regency various facilities are envisioned, including Embassies, Missions, and Hub Communities.

Embassies are facilities for area to local gatherings and activities as well as administrative facilities planted by the Regency Government to begin a process of broadcasting our Gideon’s Call to find people who are called to be Peers and to service and promote subscriptions to the virtual platform.

Missions are facilities that may provide benevolence or ministry to the poor and needy and Christians in crisis as well as help for people with life-controlling problems or addictions.

Hub Communities are area-wide intentional communities that include clustered housing for Peers and Subscribers, space for refugees, clustered housing for any group that wants to use the mutual benefit housing model, and both residential and commercial space for public leasing based on fair housing laws. They also include larger scale facilities like health and wellness centers, recreation facilities, art and science resources, training, and administrative facilities.

Each Regency will have a central hub community, known as a Regency Hub that is a larger almost town-sized grouping of multiple little communities surrounding an area called a Citadel which in turn surrounds a Regency Castle.

These are all specific types of Upo Communities, which may also exist within a Regency as individuals create their own intentional communities using the Upo Model. This includes things like residents as customers/subscribers, promoting a free and pluralistic society of equals, mutual benefit corporations to facilitate clustered housing, a plurality of leadership, mutual self-reliance and self-preservation, and the use of our ideals, principles, practices, and mandates as their guiding standards.

The difference between a Upo Hub Community and a Upo Community is that the Hub Community is an official hub for a Upadarian platform and/or society chapter group, community, or organization, while a Upo Community is chartered by the Regency but is an autonomous development adminstered by Peers of Upadaria who form a corporate body of some kind.

While most Peers and Subscribers within a Regency will tend to live as they do now, some will desire to live within some sort of Upo Hub Community, Upo Community, or smaller clustered housing development. What is more, every Peers and Subscriber who is an eCitizen of the platform will have a guarantee of help and shelter within any of these clustered housing developments, Upo Communities, or Upo Hub Communities.

A Regency is planned in a cooperative way from the genesis plan and build team to autonomous area and local design and build teams down to the Shirehold and Kinship Group. The genesis team are the first certified Regency Builders who work together within their service area toward the goal of developing a strong Subscriber base and thereby finding and mobilizing Peers of the spiritual nation.

All this shows how the core concept of being a regent for Yeshua is expanded and applied to a regional network whereby many thousands of individuals can connect and collaborate to exercise their regency as a distributed regional body of Peers who have the same spiritual nationhood and who all serve the same King, who is Yeshua. A Regency will likely begin as a virtual-to-local community within our international platform and as qualified Electors and Nobles emerge these will eventually form the genesis planning and building team who adapt our blueprint to their regional needs and circumstances until they have created a functioning Regency.

This is like the “planting” model of the New Testament whereby Apostles tended to gather Believers after a period of evangelism and then find qualified people to become area-wide leaders who in turn appointed local leaders, all of whom took territorial responsibility to build the church and reach the lost. It may seem like a top-down model, but, while the core planning and design team leaders are essential recruited and assigned by the higher level leaders, it quickly emerges that all these local groups act autonomously and the “appointed” leaders become accountable to the people they directly serve.

From an organizational perspective, a Regency is the first major self-contained structure that truly acts like a provincial entity, even though it doesn’t have any political autonomy from the existing political state wherein it is located. It is, after all, a chapter ORGANIZATION within a virtual platform and an international Christian society, not an actual political subdivision of its host country.

Upo Regencies include special types such as Principalities as the designation of urban regencies, Shire Republics as regencies that are the home chapter organization for a Crown Republic (our territorial chapter organization), Crown Regencies as the home regional chapter organization of Commonwealths, Dominions, or Branch Societies, and Crown Principalities as physical regencies of notable importance wherein the land is actually owned by the Society in some form of special economic or autonomous zone arrangement.

A word on Crown Principalities is that they are quite far off in the future. We envision a world HQ for the entire international society and the virtual platform called “The Crown Principality of Upadaria” which might be likened unto Vatican City if our international society gained standing under international law. Mostly they would be special zones with a charter from a host country that allowed for sociocultural and socioeconomic autonomy.

The 17 Missionary Tribes, for instance, may operate a Royal Crown Principality as their HQ and may seek to develop one for each of the 20 Dominions around the world they serve, which are basically areas where they provide missions and refugee support and serve any Upo nationals. Other Regal Support Hubs would be established by the Society and its 9 “governments” for specific purposes and/or to serve different population groups in advancing our global vision to reach the nations and serve Christians in crisis.

It should be clear that while most subscribers to our platform and peers of our spiritual nation will not live within any sort of clustered housing development or Upo Community, we intend to build physical spaces and hubs wherein any peers, subscribers, or fellow Christians can seek help or sanctuary, missionary work can be supported, and provisions and ministries to the poor and needy can be conducted.

Unlike every other platform, the Upadarian platform is designed to eventually result in physical facilities, spaces, clustered living developments, hubs, and whole communities the size of cities or even whole regions, all created and administered according to our ideals, principles, practices, and mandates. Our Virtual Commonwealth is meant to eventually have a status like unto the Vatican with multiple versions of facilities/communities that are like Vatican City, even though most subscribers to the platform and most Peers of the city do not live in these places.

How far and how much these aspirations are actualized we shall see, but our abilities to plant Regencies and build some level of clustered housing, hubs, and communities will only grow in time as our subscriber base and Society membership grow in a given region.

Regency as both a concept of individual spiritual sovereignty and as a concept of regional community building for mutual profit and to support mutual goals is the practical way to actualize true freedom that flows from material and economic independency. As always, even if you do not adopt our exact model and become certified to begin building your own Regency you can use these general ideas to establish some sort of regionally distributed network of communities that reflect your own ideals and the such.

The Empowerment and Liberation Purpose of The Upadaria Platform

The Upadaria platform is many things and it is at its heart a vision come true, a vision initially seen by first founder Willem IV (myself) in 1982. We can say that what we are building in terms of our platform and other genesis structures is designed as our best understanding of a God-ordained vision for a spiritual nation as the vanguard people of a new civilization. So to that degree, aligning these things with a vision that was tested against the Bible, logic, history, and science for 40 years, is actually our chief aim. We know that if we build according to God’s blueprint, good things will happen for everyone involved.

But the Upadaria Platform, called “The Virtual Commonwealth of Upadaria”, is a place that does three key things for its subscribers who purchase eResident and eCitizen subscription packages:

1. It provides useful and edifying content that subscribers can use in their daily life to build freedom and prosperity

2. It provides systemic and immersive learning experiences, through active participation and even role-playing, so that the individual subscriber can become more fulfilled and empowered

3. It provides virtual-to-local gathering and connections opportunities via social networking and e-commerce features that result in building your own network of fellow travelers whose beliefs, values, and convictions harmonize with your own

This latter aspect of the community is important. Through Upadaria you will experience life first in your own mind and imagination, we use the context and nomenclature of a future history written in 2147 to immerse yourself mind into a different, ideal reality. This is necessary to help you see past, through, and over all the artificial constraints and hindrances of the present sociocultural and socioeconomic situation.

Upadaria as a platform is, among other things, a virtual gathering place for people who want to adopt a spiritual nationality they can positively say is under the rulership of Yeshua, the Christ and Son of God. Being connected to such a nation of people, even though they own no land and have no political or military power, is a sure path to walking in those blessings and provisions reserve for such nations whose God is the Lord.

The immersive learning experiences and role-playing and the creation of this ideal persona within an ideal situation are not the goal. They get you to a different kind of goal that really amounts to establishing kinship type commuties of trust through freewill participation alone. More significantly, you find a community of people, some as virtual connections and some as local connections, with whom warm, accepting, and trust-based fraternal bonds can be made. In short, you experience warmth and acceptance.

From this, while not every subscriber will opt in, a nation of people emerges from within many lands and kindreds and among all the so-called “races.” Gathering hundreds of thousands of people, of whom some to many will choose become the genesis founders and builders of a new nation that is distributed all over the world, is not the only purpose of Upadaria. But it is a key purpose and we certainly want to be totally up front and transparent about that.

Over and over again we will say: we provide options, we don’t impose demands. We offer you things like our immersive learning experiences which are tailored to meeting real needs and improving your quality of life.

Even if at first you feel put off by the “role-playing”, it’s not just fun, it has a serious and transfigurative experience. It’s also a safe and easy way to build new and positive connections on the basis of recognizing and nurturing the person you ideally wish to become. We are certain that you will find this experience to be extremely welcoming and hopeful.

Upadaria will exist outside the realm of the establishment technocracy and its ecosystem but it is not just another alt tech platform free-for-all where anything goes. It is an experience like nothing else out there right now.

Coming in to Upadaria you are a refugee fleeing from some form of oppression or persecution during the timeline of events that led to the rise of a new national people and the emergence of a new civilization even as many of the older civilizations underwent downfall and/or upheaval. This “narrative history” informs our immersive learning experience, shapes the way our platform is run as well as its features and organization/governance, and even guides, albeit not literally, our actual real-world aims.

To see and experience, even if initially in imagination, what it is like to be part of a nation whose God is the Lord, to experience life within a Christ-centered and Kingdom-focused civilization, and to experientially learn how to manifest this inner, imagined reality into your life and relationships, is a truly innovative, original, and powerful thing.

You will learn these things in Upadaria and experience them, but you will also build real relationships and have real social and economic interactions with your fellow Upos, people who are eCitizens of the Virtual Commonwealth of Upadaria. Options such a earning digital credits, using currencies, and even our own cryptocurrency will give you new ways to advance your prosperity through participation in our internal economy.

Our platform is also designed to be as outward facing as it is private. In other words, if you want your content, like your blog or business listing, to be seen by the public and broadcast to the public, you can do that. But by default all groups and forums and your own content are limited to either your followers or the internal community. Your personal identity, which we can confirm so that people know you are real, is private. Your persona, your Upo self, has their own name which you will choose as and when you become a confirmed eCitizen.

There are basically three types of subscriptions; Guests who have a free visa and limited access, eResidents who pay $15/month for more expanded access and some features, and eCitizens who pay $45/month but for a whole experience and way to either promote themselves or use networking to advance their career, business, or ministry.

Different types of eCitizen are all the same price but are granted based on things you do to advance your status and standing and/or different charters or pledges based on your beliefs and convictions. The basic types include simple eCitizens whose only status is eCitizen, Freeholders who adopt the Freedomist Pledge, Ecclesians who are confirmed followers of Yeshua.(Christians of all denominations), Peers who are eCitizens that adopt the 17 Protocols of Upadaria, Electors who are Peers who formally joined the Upadarian Commonwealth Society International, and Nobles who are Electors who are advancing along “The Path of Honor.”

Lots of other ways to earn status and standing and be recognized for your achievements exist and, as the community grows, more benefits and features for all types of subscribers will be unlocked. Our purpose here it to foster personal growth, advancement, and development and to give many organic opportunities for people to build meaningful connections.

Immerse yourself into a new reality that transcends the present and unleashes who you truly are in all your God-ordained possibilities!

“Buying into” and virtually living out our narrative timeline is not mandatory, you can just become an e-Citizen and enjoy the features, the content, and social interactions through your profile and followers, your blog and other blogs, through the classified ads, the business directory, and through groups and forums. But if you really want Upadaria to be more than a good platform but something that inspires you and awakens your own inner and God-ordained dreams, then give the whole immersive learning experience thing a good try.

Why is Upadaria a paid platform and not open and free to all?

Essential to our vision is the creation of genesis structures which we believe are essential for comings times of crisis and to fund the first projects, like our world HQ, the first missionary and refugee support hubs, and other projects, mostly through a crowdfunding effort. While subscribing to Upadaria is worth it, it is also being part of a crowdfunding effort.

The second reason this is important is that we definitely do not want a wildly incoherent mass influx of million of free users who will require serious moderation and governance and who could literally just be trolls come to discredit us. The paid subscription model means that even if we see a large influx of people, we will always have the means to provide good moderation and governance and even to give them a personalized support system, like a Guide who may only service around 1200 subscribers (which is not as work intense as it may seem) or a volunteer Assistant Guide who may only serve 100 or fewer subscribers and earn perks within the platform.

Finally, but of equal importance, we don’t ever want to be beholden to corporate advertisers who will make demands on content and moderation that don’t align with our views or the interests of the kind of freedom seekers who tend toward being socially conservative that we expect to gather.

As we grow our support base we will explore ways to bring in people of more limited means and help them to eventually stand on their own and be able to afford a subscription. We will not leave people behind, and we offer plenty of free content on our main website, but initially we need to find people who can afford to subscribe and thereby back our overall vision.

Upadaria is neither a free speech platform nor is it in any way a place to bash other people. We are positively for our way of life, based on the 17 Protocols of Upadaria, but we are not against anyone else. We desire only freewill participation, not control or coercion, either for ourselves or others. Most of our content and activities center on a fictional future history written in 2147 AD. Most of our contemporary focus on politics in general is to promote ways for communities of people like those who embrace our intentional nationality to gain more sociocultural and socioeconomic autonomy within existing or new legal structures.

As to the whole Upadarian nationality, unless you are an Elector, as in a member of our international mutual benefit, missionary, and refugee society, you don’t have to literally consider yourself a Upadarian national in your “meta” life outside of Upadaria. But, on the other hand, anyone CAN choose to adopt this particular nationality by making a pledge between God and themselves alone to aspire to use and fulfill as many of these Protocols as God gives the means to do!

People don’t have to join Upadaria, as in the platform, to become a Upadarian by nationality. Additionally, people can only “adopt” this nationality for their “persona” without feeling like they have to transfer that identity into their meta reality. Moreover, people can be eCitizens of various types without even adopting the Upadarian nationality for their Upo Persona.

Everything we offer is on a “can do” as opposed to “must do”, basis and there are many ways to experience happy social and other interactions and benefits in your own way or through prescribed pathways. It’s always your choice and our hope is to give you good choices.

Upadaria isn’t for everybody. Our vision for web 3.0 is a diversity of niche communities eventually connected to a broad organic and decentralized ecosystem that will allow interconnections and cross-platform communications. Upadaria is our initial niche community, others, including free models based on other funding models, can either be created by us or nurtured and inspired by us which connect to a universal backbone not controlled by the establishment technocracy.

As for Upadaria, generally if you are more socially conservative, if you have a Judeo-Christian worldview, and if you are serious about fulfillment, being your best, and becoming prosperous and successful in an ethical manner consistent with your values, then Upadaria is going to be a good fit!

If you legitimately could be called a racist, a bigot, a totalitarian, a communist, a neonazi, a fascist, or a nationalist in a racial sense, then you will find Upadaria to be too “liberal” and “diverse” for your liking. We don’t bash, judge, or condemn others, we simply propose that “the Upadarian Way” is our sociocultural choice and norm and the basis of our freewill association.

We believe that the Upadaria Platform represents not simply a piece of new technology. It’s features may have an interesting application and feel, you be the judge, but it’s true innovations come through its people, connections, its learning experiences, and its virtual-to-local approach to gathering people for activities and functions.

We want the platform to be professional and highly functional and we will ever explore advancements in its technology, but we also believe that the cheif elements of value are a place where you can be accepted and valued, a place where you can experience warm and caring relationships, a place where you can find your true God-ordained purpose and potential, and a place where you can materially benefit from mutual support and commerce.

Upadaria isn’t anything you have ever experienced and while you can enter slowly and learn gradually, bit by bit in manageable pieces, there are many ideas, methods, and principles you can explore that could take you literally months or years to experience. It’s a whole vast new realm of new ideas and possibilities that you can adapt to your daily life as you choose.

Building Freedom Through The Living Out of Spiritual Nationhood
Living nationhood, which is to live the ways of a spiritual form of national idenity, may seem a bit esoteric, but if you mentally try on the idea, we propose you’ll find it is a practical means of improving your quality of life and building freedom for yourself and your family.

Once we grasp the true meaning of nationhood we take a further step forward and understand nationhood not just as an idea and identity but as a way of life and as daily practices. The Bible tells us to be IN this “kosmos”, as in the present world system, but not to be OF it. Our aim as Believers is to be a salt and light witness and influence for Yeshua to the nations. We do this without taking on their sociocultural and socioeconomic norms of the surrounding society.

We must avoid following those norms that contradict the sacred Kingdom essentials which are incumbent upon all followers of Yeshua. For this reason, we must be as materially as independent as possible from external influence and control. Additionally, we cannot replace the unaligned ways, ways not aligned with Kingdom essentials, without consciously replacing them with ways that align with Kingdom essentials.

Nationhood allows us to both find and use these ways to live in material independency but also allows is to organically connect and collaborate with others who adopt the same ways on a purely voluntary basis.

Living Spiritual Nationhood

NATIONHOOD IS A PATH TO FULFILL GOD’S STANDARDS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND JUSTICE THROUGH IDEALS, PRINCIPLES, PRACTICES, AND MANDATES

As the sacred core Kingdom essentials are honored and practiced in our diversity manifestation of Kingdom Nationhood through personal, relational, and professional standards and norms, righteousness will exalt our nation.

– From The 17 Protocols of Upadaria, Protocol Four

Our approach to self-improvement, which is the improvement of yourself but NOT you improving yourself through your own power, is quite original.

Imagine approaching self-improvement, which is the process whereby God transfiguratively improves us, through the concepts and methodologies we find in a Biblical view of nations and nationhood. This could be difficult because nationhood to modern humans has devolved into a crude mixture of political states as agents of coercion or racial/racist notions whereby one’s actual genetic/biological ancestry defines who and what they are.

Nationhood comes from spiritual sovereignty, sociocultural and socioeconomic cohesivenes, mutually beneficial freewill participation, and the intentionality of forming communities of trust.

We propose that when nationhood is understood as a way of life whereby we seek, through the guiding and power of the Holy Spirit, to fulfill God’s standards of righteousness and justice for the nations, which is for all human beings. Remember, nations are ordained by God and a big hint as to their meaning comes from the phrase in Acts 17 “so that men might find God if they haply seek him.”

As we adopt nationhood, in our proposed case through what we call the Upadarian nation, but through any diversity manifestation of Kingdom Nationhood you want to choose, we create or adopt a set of standards and norms that manifest God’s righteous and justice in our inner lives, relationships, and professional conduct.

When we adopt a form of nationhood that is predicated on ideals, principles, practices, and mandates (practicing a shared vision and mission), it provides a ready-made means to guide and discipline our behavior and choices to suit our own wyrd, which is God’s scroll of destiny and purpose for our lives.

Every form of nationhood that is a diversity expression of Kingdom Nationhood should be able to be expressed in its ideals, principles, practices, and mandates through clear language and clear standards and norms that are utilized in a spirit of grace, not legalistically. These things should definitely align with Kingdom essentials, they should be practical, and they should be directed toward your own quality of life and the wyrd of your life.

In a sense, we’ve taken the foundation of what we know about how nations are seen by God and what their purpose in terms of God’s standards for the nations and human civilization and built a logical and practical ideational structure. Nationhood is a path for individuals AND vast groups of individuals, to manifest and fulfill God’s standards of righteousness and justice for the nations on a strictly voluntary, freewill participatory basis.

In describing OUR unique form of nationhood, the Upadarian nation of people as a spiritual nation, we are also introducing the broader concept of nationhood as a lifestyle and a personal growth discipline.

Our form of nationhood has four core ideals, four core principles, four core sets of practices based on the core elements of the Kingdom, and three core mandates which animate and guide our shared purpose and vision. If you understand and memorize these things and make them a daily tool for helping to make better decisions, build better relationships, and create better associations with others, especially if they also use these things, your quality of life, level of freedom, and your effectiveness as a witness and influence for Yeshua will improve over time.

Briefly, here is a description of our ideals, principles, practices, and mandates.

Our four core ideals come from our vision for a new civilization and include Unity in diversity, Popular sovereignty, Democratic equality, and Rule of law. From the UPDR of these ideals we derive the name UPaDaRia.

Our principles includes our social vision (cooperation, sustainability, consensus), social ethics (well-being, justice, autonomy), freedom vision (virtue, liberty, and independence), and Prosperity Vision (investment, land, ownership, protection).

Our practices comes from the core practices associated with four Kingdom elements, namely the practices of Ecclesium as the realm of the spiritual city-state and commonwealth of the Elect, Ethnium as both a universal and diversity manifestation of Kingdom nationhood in Christ, Oikosium as the small to global scale manifestation of a familial connection for mutual profit and mutual assurance, and Koiononium as the freewill participatory association and basis of a voluntary community of trust within God’s standards of righteousness and justice.

Our mandates include Kinship whereby we support and build up one another, Missions whereby we are a witness to others and support missionary efforts not limited by Western church culture, and Refuge whereby we provide refuge for ourselves and we both advocate for and serve Christian asylees and Christians in crisis.

These are Biblically sound, Kingdom-focused methods and means which not only define our unique form of spiritual nationhood as a diversity expression of Kingdom Nationhood, but they provide a ready-made means for groups of people to cooperate and collaborate without needing top-down control.

As the Bible says, righteousness exalts a nation but sin brings it down, to paraphrase. It also says “blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” We asked ourselves, “what does this mean practically speaking, how can we measure and quantity what it means to be righteous as a nation and how does this translate to the individual in terms of behavior and shared blessings?”

What we find is that the clear proclamation of ideals, principles, practices, and mandates, such as we have done, fulfills these things. It provides an accessible understanding of how we pursue God’s standards of righteousness and justice. It explains how individuals participate, by using these things, and how thereby we all who are peers of this spiritual nation walk in God’s blessings for such a nation of people whose God is the Lord.

One key idea we propose is that as nations of people explicitly define these things about themselves and as these things, which will vary from nation to nation, align with sacred Kingdom essentials, there will be a global “witness to the nations”, on an individual and corporate basis, that will reap a massive harvest of souls. We also foresee as the new civilization emerges, as a result of the deliberate practice of nationhood rooted in Yeshua, that there will be a flourishing of freedom and elevation of the Body of Christ to reach the nations and people of this earth more effectively.

If you want to build freedom beyond just words and political activism, if you want to build it unilaterally without being controlled by the present godless sociocultural and socioeconomic structures, nationhood as a personal discipline and lifestyle is a very practical and powerful tool.
