China’s CCP Horrors, Recent and Past, Exposed in New Film

Film Unveils Horrors Committed by Chinese Communist Party

Just over 20 years ago, the Chinese Communist Party began persecuting those in China who followed the spiritual practice of Falun Gong.

Today, Uyghur Muslims face imprisonment and torture at the hands of the Chinese government. Tomorrow, more innocent lives will fall victim to suffering at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party if Beijing’s totalitarian leaders do not face consequences for those human rights abuses.

In the new documentary film “Unsilenced,” director Leon Lee tells the true story of those who were persecuted and killed by China’s government because they practiced Falun Gong.

The film highlights the stories of those who “risk their lives and use their wisdom to find ways to counter the propaganda and fight for their freedom” in China, Lee says.

But the threats of the Chinese Communist Party extend far beyond its borders, the film director says.

Novak Djokovic could be barred from the French Open later this year because he’s not vaccinated against COVID-19, a possibility that raised the stakes for the tennis star just hours after he was deported from Australia and prevented from defending his Australian Open title.

A plane carrying the No. 1-ranked player touched down in his native Serbia on Monday, closing at least the first chapter in a dizzying drama that has resonance in the world of elite sports, Australian pandemic politics, and the polarized debate over the coronavirus shots.

Djokovic was expected to receive a hero’s welcome from his countrymen, many of whom think he was unfairly treated in Australia. But only handful of fans waving the Serbian flag greeted him at the airport in the capital, Belgrade.

New Mexico Bill Would Give State Total Control Over Citizens

The state of New Mexico is going full sophist Marxist, creating a law that would make it illegal to deny individuals their positive (Marxist concepts of rights, not American ones) ‘right’ to have a clean environment.  The people of New Mexico are about to learn what it’s like to live under Lenin, it would seem.

Lawmakers to consider Green Amendment to New Mexico Constitution | Local News

The proposed Green Amendment that would make a clean and healthy environment a constitutional right for New Mexicans will be taken up in the legislative session with strong Democratic backing and virtually zero Republican support.

The partisan divide is no surprise to anyone familiar with the effort to make the state constitution a backstop for environmental protection.

Advocates say it would compel the state to enforce current laws and enable it to draw on constitutional authority when regulations don’t adequately cover specific threats to the environment or public health.

Opponents say it could lead to government overreach that would hurt the state’s industries — such as fossil fuel, agriculture, timber and mining — and the communities that depend on the jobs in those sectors.

The Green Amendment has 25 co-sponsors, all Democrats, compared with four who backed the proposal when it was introduced in the 2021 legislative session but failed to get a hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee. It also has drawn the support of 40 organizations, including environmental, faith, Indigenous and community groups.

“It requires the state to do its job to protect the environment,” said state Sen. Antoinette Sedillo Lopez, D-Albuquerque, one of the co-sponsors.

If the state failed to enforce rules on, say, methane emissions or the contaminated water from fracking, the amendment would give citizens added leverage to demand the state improve its oversight, Sedillo Lopez said.

But Republican state Sen. Steve Neville of Farmington, whose district is part of the natural gas-rich San Juan Basin, called the amendment “a feel-good thing” that’s too vague and broad.

It could allow the state to take sweeping, arbitrary actions against anything it deems harmful to the environment, Neville said.

“It’s a bit scary, frankly,” Neville said….

The Google Wants Drugs

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, is setting up a new DeepMind to try and find new and awesome wonder drugs the mega-corpo can use to expand its market share to include the drugs you buy at the pharmacy.

Remember, folks, Google is the same company adopting draconian police-state censporship of any voice that counters the preferred narratives of the Democrat Party and the Corporate Woketarian Moral code.  Why would we trust a company such as this to be the maker of our drugs, let alone the holder of patents on drugs that might be life-saving for some?

Alphabet Chases Wonder Drugs With DeepMind AI Spinoff Isomorphic Labs

AI research wunderkind, DeepMind, has long been all fun and games.

The London-based organization, owned by Google parent company Alphabet, has used deep learning to train algorithms that can take down world champions at the ancient game of Go and top players of the popular strategy video game Starcraft.

Then last year, things got serious when DeepMind trounced the competition at a protein folding contest. Predicting the structure of proteins, the complex molecules underpinning all biology, is notoriously difficult. But DeepMind’s AlphaFold2 made a quantum leap in capability, producing results that matched experimental data down to a resolution of a few atoms.

In July, the company published a paper describing AlphaFold2, open-sourced the code, and dropped a library of 350,000 protein structures with a promise to add 100 million more.

This week, Alphabet announced it will build on DeepMind’s AlphaFold2 breakthrough by creating a new company, Isomorphic Labs, in an effort to apply AI to drug discovery.

“We are at an exciting moment in history now where these techniques and methods are becoming powerful and sophisticated enough to be applied to real-world problems including scientific discovery itself,” wrote Demis Hassabis, DeepMind founder and CEO, in a post announcing the company. “Now the time is right to push this forward at pace, and with the dedicated focus and resources that Isomorphic Labs will bring.”

Hassabis is Isomorphic’s founder and will serve as its CEO while the fledgling company gets its feet, setting the agenda and culture, building a team, and connecting the effort to DeepMind. The two companies will collaborate, but be largely independent.

“You can think of [Isomorphic] as a sort of sister company to DeepMind,” Hassabis told Stat. “The idea is to really forge ahead with the potential for computational AI methods to reimagine the whole drug discovery process.”

While AlphaFold2’s success sparked the effort,…

The fighting in Ethiopia has raged for just over a year now, but what started as an isolated battle between Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s government and rebels in the northern Tigray region has snowballed into a fight for his political survival.

Why People Who Had Covid-19 Might Not Need the Vaccines

There is a case to be made for many people, for various reasons, to consider not taking one of  the Covid-19 vaccines currently being offered, or, unfortunately, in many cases, being made mandatory.   For instance, the people who have already been infected with Covid-19 might be the ones least in need of getting the vaccine, next to, perhaps our children under the age of 13.

One study suggests that the effective memory of Covid-19 in people who have had the virus is 93 percent at 6 months, and 92 percent at one year/  This study offers more evidence that catching the virus is an effective immunization and therapeutic potency that matches or exceeding vaccination levels perhaps for longer periods of times without additional risk to the person or to anyone else around them.

From doctorsandscientistsdeclaration.org  – COVID-Recovered Immunity is Durable

1.

One-year sustained cellular and humoral immunities of COVID-19 convalescents, Jie Zhang, Hao Lin, Beiwei Ye, Min Zhao, Jianbo Zhan, et al.

SARS-CoV-2-specific IgG antibodies, and also NAb can persist among over 95% COVID-19 convalescents from 6 months to 12 months after disease onset. At least 19/71 (26%) of COVID-19 convalescents (double positive in ELISA and MCLIA) had detectable circulating IgM antibody against SARS-CoV-2 at 12m post-disease onset. Notably, the percentages of convalescents with positive SARS-CoV-2-specific T-cell responses (at least one of the SARS-CoV-2 antigen S1, S2, M and N protein) were 71/76 (93%) and 67/73 (92%) at 6m and 12m, respectively. Furthermore, both antibody and T-cell memory levels of the convalescents were positively associated with their disease severity.

This study suggest Covid-19 infected people are at significantly reduced risks of being the source of what are called break out infections with the delta variant.

2.

Comparing SARS-CoV-2 natural immunity to vaccine-induced immunity: reinfections versus breakthrough infections, Sivan Gazit, Roei Shlezinger, Galit Perez, Roni Lotan, Asaf Peretz, Amir Ben-Tov, Dani Cohen, Khitam Muhsen, Gabriel Chodick, Tal Patalon.

Results SARS-CoV-2-naïve vaccinees had a 13.06-fold (95% CI, 8.08 to 21.11) increased risk for breakthrough infection with the Delta variant compared to those previously infected, when the first event (infection or vaccination) occurred during January and February of 2021. The increased risk was significant (P<0.001) for symptomatic disease as well. When allowing the infection to occur at any time before vaccination (from March 2020 to February 2021), evidence of waning natural immunity was demonstrated, though SARS-CoV-2 naïve vaccinees had a 5.96-fold (95% CI, 4.85 to 7.33) increased risk for breakthrough infection and a 7.13-fold (95% CI, 5.51 to 9.21) increased risk for symptomatic disease. SARS-CoV-2-naïve vaccinees were also at a greater risk for COVID-19-related-hospitalizations compared to those that were previously infected.

3.

Necessity of COVID-19 vaccination in previously infected individuals, Nabin K. Shrestha, Patrick C. Burke, Amy S. Nowacki, Paul Terpeluk, Steven M. Gordon

Results Among the 52238 included employees, 1359 (53%) of 2579 previously infected subjects remained unvaccinated, compared with 22777 (41%) of 49659 not previously infected. The cumulative incidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection remained almost zero among previously infected unvaccinated subjects, previously infected subjects who were vaccinated, and previously uninfected subjects who were vaccinated, compared with a steady increase in cumulative incidence among previously uninfected subjects who remained unvaccinated. Not one of the 1359 previously infected subjects who remained unvaccinated had a SARS-CoV-2 infection over the duration of the study. In a Cox proportional hazards regression model, after adjusting for the phase of the epidemic, vaccination was associated with a significantly lower risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection among those not previously infected (HR 0.031, 95% CI 0.015 to 0.061) but not among those previously infected (HR 0.313, 95% CI 0 to Infinity).

Conclusions Individuals who have had SARS-CoV-2 infection are unlikely to benefit from COVID-19 vaccination, and vaccines can be safely prioritized to those who have not been infected before.

Longitudinal analysis shows durable and broad immune memory after SARS-CoV-2 infection with persisting antibody responses and memory B and T cells, Kristen W. Cohen, Susanne L. Linderman, Zoe Moodie, Julie Czartoski, Lilin Lai, Grace Mantus, Carson Norwood, Lindsay E. Nyhoff, Venkata Viswanadh Edara, et al.

Ending the COVID-19 pandemic will require long-lived immunity to SARS-CoV-2. We evaluated 254 COVID-19 patients longitudinally from early infection and for eight months thereafter and found a predominant broad-based immune memory response. SARS-CoV-2 spike binding and neutralizing antibodies exhibited a bi-phasic decay with an extended half-life of >200 days suggesting the generation of longer-lived plasma cells. In addition, there was a sustained IgG+ memory B cell response, which bodes well for a rapid antibody response upon virus re-exposure. Polyfunctional virus-specific CD4+ and CD8+ T cells were also generated and maintained with an estimated half-life of 200 days. Interestingly, the CD4+ T cell response equally targeted several SARS-CoV-2 proteins, whereas the CD8+ T cell response preferentially targeted the nucleoprotein, highlighting the importance of including the nucleoprotein as a potential vaccine antigen. Taken together, these results suggest that broad and effective immunity may persist long-term in recovered COVID-19 patients.

Glenn Youngkin Poised for Upset Victory that Could Rock the DNC-CRT Agenda

In the Virginia Governor’s Race that’s set to be settled in less than a week, the once strongly positioned DNC nominee and former Governor, Terry McAuliffe has seen his lead evaporate to the point of being no more, as the last set of polls before the election show a virtual dead-heat between the two with Republican Nominee Glenn Youngkin surging among independents and parents.

Mcauliffe is banking on voters not buying the notion that giving complete authority to the state to determine the values your kids are coercively taught is the right approach to build back better.  Youngkin is banking on parents fundamentally wishing to preserve their American-standard right to raise their kids according to values of their choosing.

The DNC media coverage has largely portrayed Youngkin as the usual ‘atavistic’ conservative, dog whistling racism and seeking to end legal gay marriage.  Youngkin, for the record, did not claim to be for making gay marriage illegal, he only claimed he did not support gay marraige from a faith perspective.  Youngkin seems to be a consistent Bill of Rights framed candidate, so the assault by the DNC is really fundamentally about continuing to create a culture where merely disapproving of homsexuality is enough to get you ‘cancelled,’ market, social, and state removed from vital discourse and access to real power.

The tactic might work among the young, but among parents, at this point, the fear of the rights of the LGBTQ being lost might not affect parents after the Mccauliffe gufaw where he appeared to be justifying state control of the raising of children, and then appeared to double down.  For the record, we at the Freedomist doubt significantly that Youngkin has any kind of agenda to roll back the rights of the LGBTQ, he just might not be inclined to continue to extend them, or to introduce sexuality to children at anywhere near the young ages the DNC is currently executing even as we speak.

The race itself is being portrayed as a bellweather for things to come, specifically and immediately what might get done in the US Congress that aligns with the DNC-CRT agenda.  It is also to be considered a bellweather of what might follow in the Midterm US House and Senate Elections.  It need not be the case, but when the DNC controls the means of cultural and social production, a McAuliffe win will be used as a social proof bludgeon to embolden the DOJ, the amplify the Cultural Production push of CRT, and to vilify an increasing list of persons for opposing an increasing list of DNC policies to save humanity from itself.

Perception is reality, so, it is more than likely that the reads are correct.  The question is this, will a Bill of Rights people find themselves in time to resist the DNC machine in Virginia?  Will Independents continue to swing for Glenn despite the massive DNC “He RaYCiSt, hE BIgoT!” songs now being sung in schools, newsrooms, radio shows, youtube videos, facebook posts, twitter tweets, and newsapers across the state?

Will fear for their children lead them to overcome the effective hate machine of the DNC that turns the need for tolerance in a pluralistic diverse Bill of Rights land into a mandatory embracing and fetishization of all that defy any aspect of the America that has been since our inception?

Unfortunately, in our hyper now world, the state of Virginia has the power to decide the next shift in power in DC, where the ‘debates’ are about the continued preservation of a Rule of Law Democratic Republic in a Bill of Rights contstraint or the adoption of a new fluid morality that bears its legitimacy from the status of the ones declaring the new moral codes?

Americans might not fully recognize it, let’s pray Virginia does and stops the red tide now crushing our lands of our American Bill of Rights spirit where all can share value as assumed equals without ever having to surrender their agency, their preference, to state coercion, as the DNC believes we humans require to become the types of humans this neo-socio-fascistic ideology REQUIRES.

Governor’s race ‘too close to call’ with one week to go

A new VCU poll has 41 percent of likely voters supporting Democrat Terry McAuliffe and 38 percent supporting Republican Glenn Youngkin, a substantial tightening of the race since last month when McAuliffe led 43 percent to 34 percent among likely voters.

With only one week left until the election and the gubernatorial race in a dead heat, independent and discontent voters might likely decide who will be the next governor of Virginia.

Independent voters have increasingly identified with Youngkin (37 percent) rather than McAuliffe (31 percent), a six-point increase for Youngkin and a six-point decrease for McAuliffe since September.

While polling for Virginia’s gubernatorial race between former Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe and Republican challenger Glenn Youngkin has shown a virtual tie for some time now, a new poll from Christopher Newport University released Wednesday shows Democrats’ leads in the lieutenant governor and attorney general races have shrunk to similar margins.

The poll was based on 944 interviews of registered Virginia voters from October 17-25, according to CNU’s Wason Center for Civic Leadership. CNU says Democrat Hala Ayala has a 1-point lead in polling in the lieutenant governor’s race over Republican Winsome Sears, 49% to 48%, with a margin of error of +/- 3.5%.

Incumbent Democratic Attorney General Mark Herring is up on Republican Jason Miyares 48% to 47%.

The Virginia governor’s race, a dead heat between Terry McAuliffe and Glenn Youngkin, is being regarded as a bellwether for the 2022 midterms, with Democrats trying to turn it into a referendum on former President Donald Trump and Republicans trying to turn it into a referendum on current President Joe Biden. But the contest may also be a different kind of preview of 2022 and 2024: The role poll watchers, seemingly inspired by Trump’s election fraud lies, will play in upcoming cycles.

As the Washington Post reported Wednesday, a surge of GOP election observers are flooding the Virginia gubernatorial race, apparently driven by the party’s push to ensure the system’s “integrity”—the euphemism allies of the former president have used to enact voter suppression laws and sow distrust in the democratic process. The 2020 election was not “rigged,” as Trump continues to claim, and even Youngkin, a MAGA Republican, has publicly acknowledged that Biden was legitimately…

Youngkin victory . . . would be significant. To be sure, no race is completely replicable, and candidate quality matters. Youngkin is hardly a once-in-a generation political talent, but he’s proved an adept and winsome campaigner. On the other hand, McAuliffe is one of the most irrepressible…

Class-Action Suit Claims Facebook Job Ads Violate Israel Law

A class-action lawsuit filed in Israel against Facebook charges that ads on the social media giant violate the Equal Employment Opportunity Act, which prohibits the posting of discriminatory job ads.

Israeli employment law, like that in most Western countries, states that a job advertisement cannot discriminate by age, gender, race, political beliefs or other variables. The law allows for anyone affected by such discrimination to be compensated for NIS 50,000, without proof of damage.

“Years ago that meant that a company couldn’t write explicitly in a job ad that it was only looking for, say, white males aged 25-40,” explained attorney Dr. Matan Gutman, who filed the case at the Tel Aviv Regional Labor Court. “But Facebook’s ad system allows companies to discriminate in a more elegant way – by offering the options to target only certain types of people. That would be equivalent to a newspaper offering its clients the option to target only certain readers, which would clearly be prohibited. But Facebook publishes thousands of such job ads in Israel every year.”
