Xi Comes Out Strong in Recent Call with Biden

Apparently, President Joe Biden had a long talk with Chairman Xi in a call that his team itself would characterize as being about setting the parameters for the new relationship between the US and China Post-Trump and assuring that there were no untintended conflicts because China misinterpreted an action from the US.

This is a call of weakness and begging and, for China, was propaganda gold that was used richly in its media, characterizing the call as a demonstration of the strength of Xi and China contrasted with the weakness of Biden.  In his fist talk to Xi in 7 months, he came to him with shield down and sword offered, begging China not to do anything harmful to the US because they might misinterpret American action.

What really happened on this call, well, perhaps we will never know, but by the White House’s own stated goal and ‘accomplishment’ of the call, you cannot help but interpret this as a significant PR win for Xi and a nothingburger for Biden here at home, as this call will get little coverage that reaches rank and file Americans.

From an analyst’s perspective, the signalling from the White House’s own version of this call is that they are prepared to negotiate new terms and they are going in already giving China the starting advantage, most likely, I would surmise, because the DNC corpostate alliance requires they at least TRY to loosen up China’s markets to give our American companies their long-anticipated goal of tapping in to a giant Chinese market.

This weakness on the US is a reflection of the party in power’s dependence on billionaires to enforce and fund their new moral supremacist program for America, one that promises to finally fell the roadblock to central control in America, the Bill of Rights as an assumption of enititled rights by Americans who are willing to use those constructs to justifty opting out of your programs altogether, by any means necessary.

This weakness is only contigent on these companies not finding a viable alternative to China’s market prize, which might very well turn out to be India, a nation-state far more aligned with American individual rights as a concept than China ever could be so long as they follow Socialism with Chinese characteristics.  After all, one of the founding principles of our nation, unity and diversity, is also one of the central tenets of India’s civilization since long before the time of Christ.

US President Joe Biden talked with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping for the first time in seven months Thursday, urging they ensure that “competition” between the two powers does not become “conflict,” the White House said.

During the call, Biden‘s message was that the United States wants to ensure “the dynamic remains competitive and that we don’t have any situation in the future where we veer into unintended conflict,” a senior US administration official told reporters.

In Beijing, state broadcaster CCTV reported that the phone call was “candid, in-depth” and covered “extensive strategic communication and exchanges on China-US relations and issues of mutual concern,” and that US policy on China has caused “serious difficulties.”

This was the leaders’ first call since February, when they talked for two hours, shortly after Biden took over from Donald Trump. The Biden administration official said the latest call lasted 90 minutes.

California Versus Amazon and the Warehouse Quota Bill

Now that Gavin Newsome has emerged from the recall vote stronger than ever, Amazon’s position to resist a shackle on its power could come in the form of California’s Warehouse Quota Bill, a bill that will require Amazon to track the daily activity of its workers to assure it was not overworking them, and to also document and assure regulated breaks and lunches and whatnot were faithfully honored.

How Amazon Would Be Affected by California’s Warehouse Quotas Bill

California is taking aim at the grievances of some Amazon.com Inc. warehouse employees, who have complained about the pace at which the company requires them to sort packages, injuries and surveillance they face on the job.

If enacted, a new state law would require Amazon to disclose any quotas it applies to workers in the state, a step the bill’s supporters say would allow regulators to assess whether its employees have sufficient time for breaks, or if performance goals are affecting the health and safety of workers in other ways.

I often see true idiots build big audiences representing a faction and becoming the face of the faction to the degredation of that faction.
The republicans do this all the time, and, given the DNC advantage in signalling a narrative in ‘established’ channels (media, newspapers, movies, etc), when they do it, the world knows about it so that it becomes significantly branded to it.
I see the same kind of thing happening for the DNC this time with the whole Met Gala, only this time, their own media unwittingly did the work of making this moment of complete idiocracy become a significant part of the brand for a significant portion of casuals in the American lands.
The timing of the event itself, during a “pandemic,” one the DNC hypes and derives political capital from and the RNC downplays and derives political capital from downplaying it. So the party that helped make the pandemic an acutely felt emergency in the lives of many helped also to contribute to the terrible idiocracy moment that is the Met Gala.

Urban Black America Leaves Gov Schools for Homeschooling

This article by NBC news is covering a growing trend in mostly inner city schools of black parents choosing to homeschool their children.  Though this is a trend that’s nationwide, seeing homeschooling rising among black communities, especially poor communities, is something worth taking note.  The NBC article interviews some black parents who talk about why they choose to homeschool  their children.  They chose to focus on these families that all seem to echo some shared concern that the schools themselves are still fundamentally racist, in terns of the inequality of the resources provide to predominantly black schools and in terms of how the teachers themselves teach their black students.

As NBC news is not a trusted source for news due to its ties to the DNC, one would easiliy be dismissive of the claims of racism in our public schools by these parents, but, to me, it fits my understanding of the nature of the moral supremacist who crows the most.  These folks more often than not end up being the worst offenders of the very moral constructs they are seeking to police with great militant viligance.

These parents are in the very bellies of the DNC beasts, where political competition is dead, and they can bilk the land of its goods while giving voice to the plea of the needy in their communities that they continually faily to address.  Rather, from within their own centers of power, the disenfranchised zones of America, it is their party that has reigned with an iron fist for more than 70 years, perpetually perpetuating, it you will, the oppressions of the disenfranchised they build their moral power around.

Unfortunately, many of these same parents will most likely not recognize that the source of this perpetuation of racist oppression is the power in their own neighborhoods, for 70 plus years, that continued to allow these same neighborhoods to be perpetual sources for moral power, bought by the very real oppression people face that are born into these uncertain, unsecure, unhealthy, undeveloping war zones dotted with crusing guards from outside the community (the police) who seem just as sick of the people they allegedly serve as the people they serve are sick of them as well.

Still, for whatever reason these parents are removing their children from school, and whoever they blame for their very real pain and suffering, it is good when people take steps towards self-sustainability and determination and away from dependence on a large-scale system that will always only see you as a useful cog, an expendible pawn, or detritus fit for the flames.

As schools begin reopening across the country, in Chicago, Angela Valentine says her 12-year-old son, Dorian, will not be returning. Instead, he will be home-schooled.

“I just began to see some telltale signs that things weren’t working to our advantage,” she said. “And started to see some discrepancies, some inequities.”

Some of those discrepancies involved her son’s academics. Valentine said that as Dorian’s grades slipped last year, before the coronavirus pandemic closed classrooms, his school failed to give him adequate support and solutions for subjects in which he was weak. Her son was one of only a few Black boys in his class, and he said his social interactions changed over time. Other students suddenly stopped playing with him. He told her that he spends recess on the swings by himself.

“We later found out that he was called the N-word,” Valentine said.

The writers of Boingboing would have you believe that is a crime, a moral indecency that school board members are retiring rather than face the angry mobs upset at the new moral standards our schools seem to ba adopting, standards that fundamentally clash with American Bill of Rights standards, such as the notion that humans are presumed of equal standing in the discourse of daily value exchange and only lose that standing when their direct action leads you to conclude they are not conducting themselves according to the parameters of these standards themselves.

The shothand version of what I just declared is this, we are all to be judged by the content of our character, not the (insert physiological trait here).  This new moral supremacism many schools across America are adopting holds to the underlying assumption  that life should be deefined within the historical power advantages and disadvantages of certain biological-based groups, and that the scarce traits of physicality within this mass should be elevated and praised over the more prevailing traits.

The simple version is this; White Heterosexual Cis-Gendered Males and their Female enablers invented all kinds of beliefs and sciences and custums and social mores to assure their continued dominance over all others in the world.  They invented evil itself, and if only we rid the world of the very concepts of such things as white and heterosexual and gender and male can we hope to create a world where decent people, real people can openly and freely live.

Having this belief is fine, but forcing it on children is another matter altogether, and paretns across the board understand sometimes explicitely and sometimes implicitely the crime currently occuring under our own Federal, State, County, and Local governments across these lands, the crime of emotional terrorism against all of our children stuck in the schools that choose to perform these crimes against our own children, using our tax dollars to pay for the act.

Parents understand if you teach children to hate their own skin, either because they were the all-powerful evil oppressor skin variety or because they were of the all-weak, desperately-in-need of sin-skin allies (the sin-skinners willing to lay down their great power advantage to let their weak-skinned allies struggle for relief from the sin-skinned scourge)., you will pyschologicaly cripple them.  You will destroy their sense of agency and safety.  You will create enemies in homes, dividing families, further destroying the health and well-being of the very children you allege to be serving.

This isn’t an anti-anti-racist movement, it’s an anti-child-abuse movement.  There are very few people that seek to sugar coat in our schools’ history books the sins of this land, but our choice is NOT between ignoring our racist and bigoted past and giving our government schools permission to teach a one-sided demonizing history that destroys the very mental and physcial health of our kids.  We can teach the truth of our sins, and the hopes of our promises, for our history is filled with BOTH, not one.

If school board members are resigning from fear, I say good, it’s always much better when the state fears the people than when the people fear the state, something I am sure the writers of boingboing are for.

School board members quitting to avoid threatening, hostile crowds

School boards meetings are being turned into chaotic shouting matches dominated by angry, threatening right-wing mobs. So the members are quitting, reports the AP.

In Vail, Arizona, speakers at a recent meeting took turns blasting school board members over masks, vaccines and discussions of race in schools — even though the board had no plans to act on, or even discuss, any of those topics. “It’s my constitutional right to be as mean as I want to you guys,” one woman said.

At one meeting in Tennessee, men attending were caught on film threatening a doctor in the parking lot after he had advocated using face masks to limit the spread of Covid: “we will find you.”

MAGAs, Qanons and antivaxxers make it impossible to get anything done and make everyone afraid. So the school board members quit. Then conservatives can take over the school boards. QED.

Fake News is Something Normies Can Smell, MIT Says

When the news media first started to build the fake news narrative, the thought of many at that time was this, if human beings in America are not able to discern what real and fake news actually is, this is a reflection of the poor quality of our government schools.  When the response to this ‘threat’ was to push for censorship on social media platforms, many responded that training people to discern fake news from real news (really, just training them to be crticial thinkers and how to use the internet to find more objective-type date to figure things out for yourself) would be way more effective and not fundamentally in violation of the spirit of the Bill of Rights, to live dangerously in freedom, ESPECIALLY when it comes to expression, and even more esssentially when it comes to news reporting.

A new study might give the public schools a bit of a defense, while indicting those who would have you believe humans are too stupid to figure out when people are making things up.  You might fool them to some degree, but ultimately people have a heuristic understanding of inauthenticity, of fakeness.

A study from MIT suggests that regular readers have proven to be as effective as professional fact-checkers at discering fake stories from real stories.  The study itself, however, is not being used to push back against the gatekeeper approach, protecting the dumbs from the dangerous misinformations, but rather to develop models in which you utilize reader groups of proportional representational size to fact-check the content users post on a given social media platform (in this case, Facebook).

Scienceblog itself refers to the problem of misinformation in its opening senten.ce from the article we blurb from below,

In the face of grave concerns about misinformation, social media networks and news organizations often employ fact-checkers to sort the real from the false. But fact-checkers can only assess a small portion of the stories floating around online.

“Grave concerns” is the tone this site chose to reflect, missing, like, perhaps, MIT itself, the broader ramifications of its study, that no filters are needed at all, and that if you took the time to educate people on how to discern stories for themselves you would be far more effective in actually screening out misinformation, but then again, its not misinformation these platforms hope to contain, for misiniformation is regularly approved at the highest levels of government and media and news on an almost daily basis, rather its the orthodox version of reality, in terms of the phenomenology of it, as well as the moral, social, and cultural version of reality.

The DNC theorizes, based on the CCP model of recent decades, that they need not worry about loss of productive excellence at the highest levels being so affected by taking so much control over the lives of the people of the land they coercively control.

Thus, where concentrated power perceives it can extend itself and cut itself off from competition going forward, it will do so, and this is the reality of power assumption of the DNC, an ambition that would be fundamentally threatened if the perception of the the threat of misinformation to the welfare of others no longer held sway over any significant portion of humans that live in this land, and this study certainly lends credence to the opposing fear-based narrative of the DNC.

Study: Crowds can wise up to fake news

In the face of grave concerns about misinformation, social media networks and news organizations often employ fact-checkers to sort the real from the false. But fact-checkers can only assess a small portion of the stories floating around online.

A new study by MIT researchers suggests an alternate approach: Crowdsourced accuracy judgements from groups of normal readers can be virtually as effective as the work of professional fact-checkers.

“One problem with fact-checking is that there is just way too much content for professional fact-checkers to be able to cover, especially within a reasonable time frame,” says Jennifer Allen, a PhD student at the MIT Sloan School of Management  and co-author of a newly published paper detailing the study.

But the current study, examining over 200 news stories that Facebook’s algorithms had flagged for further scrutiny, may have found a way to address that problem, by using relatively small, politically balanced groups of lay readers to…

Xi XingPing Thought to Be Mandatory Reading for Children in China

Xi Xinping has issued a decree in China that has instantly become law with the full force of policing ready, able, and willing to execute violent consequences should anyone dare defy it.  He has issued a decree that your neighbor will not protecy you from when the police knock on your door.  He has issued a decree that will gain the instant overwhelming approval of the public faces of the people you see everyday in your daily living.

I juat want to give you a sense of the scope of the control one man holds over a nation that is the 4th largest in terms of land size and number one as far as population in all the world, a major nation-state in the world to be sure, if I can use such lowkey expressions to reflect the true scope of the current geo-economic power the nation-state of China currently possesses on the world stage.

This decreee is about assuring that the children of China, all being sent to mandatory government schools (homeschooling is not a real option, though underground homeschools exist), be taught the new dictates of the demigod-esque leader of China, Xi Xinping, a man we simply refer to as Chairman Xi as it fits the pattern of perhaps his biggest influence as we are seeing this man emerge, Mao Zedong (though his Socialism with Chinese Characteristics is not exactly the same as Chairman Mao’s).

The similarities have more to do with the type of legitimization of power that both men relied upon, which was an apppeal to the ancient Chinese doctrine of the Middle Kingdom, the place where heaven and earth meet, China, and in this exchange of human and nature, the will of heaven is seen in the fruit of the people and the land.  This is commonly referred to as the mandate of heaven,  and while Chairman Xi is more explicit in this, and more willing to directly refer to the ancient traditions where this ideal was formed and tested, Mao Zedong utilized the terminology of Marx to describe the same type of thing, but instead of the mandate of heaven it was the mandate of the people, only by the people he was only referring to revolutionairies, for everyone else was part of the problem.  Mao was no traditionalist.

There are many parallels that can be drawn to the efforts of Chairman Xi to indoctrine the chilldren to think like the party, and the party is Xi, make no mistake about that, and what the DNC is attempting to do by indoctrinating children to think like the party, the DNC.  Those similarities have to do with the types of claims Xi and the DNC Apparatchik Class utilize to validate the use of coercion against people for havng opinions or claims of truth that challenge the official party narrative.

The DNC has a particular moral construct it finds useful in undermining the vehicle of power of its opponents, which are very different than the type of opponents the CCP finds itself facing.  The DNC has risen to power exploiting the plea of the most needy in the land within contexts that had not been given such hyper focus and concern (not in the polls, however, where economony consistently still rates at the top most all of the time) until the last 10 years, with the last two years seeing an escalation of hyper-consensequential racist and bigoted violations of the new party code.

Now charges of racism and bigotry are as powerful at ending the viablility of a person’s life as being called a witch was back in the early 1600s.  The parallels between that reign of moral panic terror and this one are so rich and deep that I have little doubt there will be many books written on those parallels for, perhpas, decades to come, maybe more.  It is an extraordinary time in the scope of human history.  This is is not a drill, we significantly live in extraordinary times.

The use of failure to meet social orthodoxy is the fundamental method of control that’s being deployed here.  This is a tactic hardly ever used effectively to control a large-scale audinece if the faction using this method does not control to 80 percent or more all of the fundamental social and culture affirming, creating, and protecting institutions of the land.  These would be the banks, the board rooms, the Federal government, the media, the schools, the news, and emerging tech.

I believe the DNC Empire, if I can call it that, because its coalition of power really does comprise distinct ‘provinces’ that preserve distinct characteristics only bonded by the usefulness of a larger scale structure of support. has such a level of control on the land today here in America, across the board, at 80 percent or more, but that Empire is not the Kingdom that Xi currently rules (though they have begun to venture into their own Empire building, something we have been tracking for a while now).

China is a Kingdom of 99 percent one ‘race,’ the Han race, and Xi and the Middle Kimgdom aims to keep it that way.  People there mostly fit within a socially orthodox visual range of acceptable visual characteristics.  China is the very type of nation-state the DNC claims to be against, an ethno-state.  Yet their alliance still makes perfect sense to me for, like the CCP that Xi derives his legitiamcy of power partially from (it’s ultimately from the mandate of heaven), both parties use the tool of socio-cultural orthodoxy,  but one is using it to take power and the other is using it to keep power.

Xi appeals to the moderately well-off Chinese.  He is a conservative, and in a profoound sense as well, for he is seeking to revitalize the teachings of Confucius, he is appealing to the ancient history of China and its traditions as the base of his power, and the base of power for China in becoming the new leader of the world.

The DNC is still largely in the insurrectionist role, at least socio-culturally, for, while they have achieved great gains in conditioning society to be much more reflective of DNC values (some of which will still ultimatly be part of their undoing and many on the ‘right’ now opposed to some of those changes will ultimately be happy they happened), they still have yet to undo within the bulk of Americans the sense of one might call rights entiitelment that comes from growing up in a land in which you perceive (in part rightly, in part falsely) that appealing to the rights iterrated in the Bill of Rights is enough to shut down whole police departments, is enough to give families of victims of those whose rights have been violated, millions for the harm.

So they appeal  to the moral violations that affect their ‘constituency,’ the people who perceive (to some degree rightly, to some degree falsely) that the way things are is a fundamental threat to their potential to live lives of their own choosing (thoughn they rarely think of it in those terms, more often equating their preferential way of living to THE morally correct way of living that everyone must comply with or face coercive consequences).  They set to flame whatever moral vulnerabilities the current socio-religio-cultural institutions are vulernable to.  In this tactic, the DNC is far more like Mao than Xi, which, by my theoretical pondering, is more a reflection of Mao being at the beginning of seeking to recreate a socialist China  like the D,C would ultimately create if it were to fully rid the American lands of any signficiant number of people that uphold the values of the Bill of Rights, and recognize their power in protecting the weak from the strong, will be a refection of the usefulnes of the structure to meet the current power need of the DNC when it reaches consolidation.

For now, it is enough for the DNC to focus on closing the deal, on fully cementing its hold on power by ridding the land of the Bill of Rights constructs.  So long as it is successful in continuing to reinforce the notion that all of the land views threats to other races by dangerous whites as necessitating the rights espoused in those 10 amendments to our American Constitution, more and more is chipped away at the core of the resistance to the DNC world the DNC seeks to create, a world that might be described by them at some point as Socialism with Chinse Characteristics, though the Socialism part in America, as well as what exists in China, will be in name only, as it wlll simply be a police state that controls as much as it can without cutting off productive output from the highest to the lowest levels, what China essentially is today.

Both China and the DNC still rely on the same method, fundamentally, of control, the use of failure to meet social orthodoxy, a penalty that could be worthy of death itself in some circumstances, certainly one that, more often  than not, requires market, social, and cultural removal, to be depersoned for the crime of having bad thoughts that you dared express publicly.

We live in extraordinary times.   We are soon to find out if the DNC has consolidated power in America, and if Chairman Xi can keep his Kingdom together while the mandate of heaven appears to frown on him and he prepares to insert Chinese troops and personnel into nations around the world.

ASK MEMBERS of China’s elite—from senior officials to academics at leading universities, well-known commentators or bosses at big companies—to explain the beliefs of the country’s leader, Xi Jinping, and their replies are surprisingly unhelpful. Even simple questions elicit waffly answers. Take an ongoing campaign to clip the wings of some of China’s largest firms, notably technology giants. The authorities have variously accused such businesses of seeking excessive profits, harming national security with a cavalier approach to data, abusing workers, bullying smaller firms or exploiting young consumers with addictive video games and online fan clubs. Is Mr Xi revealing himself as an ideologue, bent on re-imposing Communist Party control over the economy at the expense of growth? Or is he more pragmatic than that: a nationalist strongman who is helping to make China stable at home and mighty abroad? There is chatter among the country’s grandees, but no consensus.

Given such confusion among grown-ups, this is a bold moment to issue a new series of textbooks to all students in Chinese schools, colleges and universities, with the aim of explaining Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era, as Mr Xi’s political philosophy is formally known.

As the academic year began on September 1st, teachers and lecturers began distributing these books, tailored for each age-group, down to children as young as six. The use of stand-alone schoolbooks devoted to a serving leader marks a break with decades of caution. The last time that hundreds of millions of youngsters clutched books devoted to the wisdom of one man was under Mao Zedong, the object (and instigator) of a disastrous personality cult.

Books for the young are especially revealing, for they have to keep their messages simple. Primary schools have long taught the general rudiments of ideology. Via courses with names like “ethics and law”, children have studied…

Half the Country Still Questions Biden Presidencial Legitimacy

Recent polls show the nation is just about split on the question of whether the 2020 Presidential election was legitimate, and thus, is Joe Biden a legitimate question.  Let’s paint this new fact in the context of the reality of power we find ourselves in, one in which the DNC machine controls, almost completely, the narrative of daily discourse.

Corpowoketarianz of the DNC machine control the media, the culture, the Federal government, and the means of digital public discourse.  All of their efforts have been to use heavily coercive, subhumanizing, threatening tactics to bury the notion that Joe Biden was duly elected in a right and proper manner and no questions should be asked that might even hint at something that could diminish this orthodox assertion of the powers that be.

The reality of the election is not the relevent focus here, rather, the revelation you should take from the fact that, even after all the threats, the brutal market assassination, all the propaganda, the whole system is so untrustworthy and unbelievable itself that it cannot even convince more than half the country that the election itself was legitimate.

Methinks if the DNC machine made this much effort to convince people the earth was not flat, suddenly, the nation would be divided about whetther the world was flat, not because a flat earth is credible, but because ANYTHING this machine tries to force on you and convince you with their horrid propaganda bits, be they news reports or new ‘superhero’ movies becomes immediately discredited by a minimum of half the country, and I suspect they’re going to lose even more, and are already losing more and know it.

Nearly one year into his presidency, 70% of Republicans maintain that Joe Biden was not legitimately elected President of the United States, while 22% concede that he was. Those results are according to the most recent exclusive Suffolk University/USA TODAY poll of U.S. registered voters. Meanwhile, 96% of Democrats believe Biden was duly elected. In January, those statistics were nearly identical—nothing has changed.

The table below with results from the poll highlights that Joe Biden’s legitimacy is not the only point of partisan contention. Republican and Democratic registered voters have entirely different views on what the biggest challenges for the country have been over the last 20 years. Democrats’ low historical ranking of the 9/11 attacks was likely underscored by their opinion that domestic terrorism is a much more serious challenge to our security today than foreign terrorism (81-13). Meanwhile, Republicans saw foreign terrorism as being more challenging (53-40).

There is a Mass Breakout of YouTube Tourette’s

Editorial – Psychiatrists noticed that there seemed to be an uptick of people being diagnosed as having Tourette’s.  Some of them started to developing a trend.  Many of these people had been diagnosed as having Tourettes despite the fact that the symptoms they were manifesting don’t actually align with Tourettes.  Rather, as they would eventually allegedly discover, this seemed to be a phenomenon that was taking place through YouTube, where a whole group of youths were developing these sortsof Tourrette’s like symptoms that can be seen in many content creators that cater to this demographic,

It is possible, theoretically, that YouTube has experienced its first viral oubreak of the sociogenic category, that is, socially created patterns of behavior that produce unstabilizing patters to the world around the action.  Somehow, a whole subgroup within this larger demographic has developed a new Tourrette’s like disorder that emerged from the culture the YouTubers had created.

Perhaps Twitter has been feeding a sociogenic virus for a long time, called Woketarianizm, but that’s another story, still, the connection is not unmerited.   Twitter’s culture creators are the moderators and the rules they use to justify their actions, actions that affect people at existential levels given the domination of Twitter in a social media space where a vast swathe of major institutional public discourse takes place.  And if you’re not on Twitter, you’re not talking to America, let alone the world,

That type of influence on the habits of human action is far more profound than what ever could have emerged in this YouTube culture that produced their own sociogenic virus.  The severity and breadth of the sociogenic illnesses these platforms can crearte when in the hands of ideologues, in general, well, I could say it would be frightening but we are in the midst of the fruit of that reality.

Better for the acceptable orthodox media, of which iflscience.com is one, to attack the smaller sociogenic viruses that emerge from the result of wanna-be tyrants to distract from the much larger and more invasive and consequential sociogenic viruses these platforms have been creating.

Psychiatrists Report Mass Outbreak Of Sociogenic Illness Spread Via Social Media Videos

A team of psychiatrists has reported what they’re calling “the first outbreak of a new type of mass sociogenic illness” that is spread by social media alone.

Published in the journal Brain, the team reports that they have seen a “remarkably high number” of young patients who had been referred to their specialist Tourettes clinic in Hannover, all displaying “nearly identical” movements and vocalizations. The patients not only had similar movements but also said a lot of the same words as each other when experiencing a “tic”, regardless of the language they were speaking it in.

Words included “fries”, “bomb”, “flying sharks”, and, most concerningly, “Heil Hitler”.

Another strange aspect to the tics, and not seen usually in Tourette’s patients, was that their vocalizations shifted pitch whenever they had a “vocal tic”, their voice becoming much lower than usual.

Though all the patients had been diagnosed with the childhood-onset chronic combined motor and vocal tic disorder, Tourette’s syndrome, before being referred to the clinic, the team noted that the tics were unusual, and unknown in Tourettes syndrome. However, they had seen the tics before: on the YouTube channel “Gewitter im Kopf” (“Thunderstorm in the Brain”).

The channel, presented by Jan Zimmermann, documents life with Tourettes syndrome.

“Judging from the videos, he indeed suffers from a mild form of Tourette syndrome,” the team write in their paper. “On this YouTube channel, however, he shows a countless number of movements, vocalizations, words, phrases, and bizarre behaviours that he claims are tics, but are clearly functional in nature.”

“For the majority of the shown symptoms, there are obviously strong situational contexts with exclamations of long sentences with insults, swear words, and obscenities that are in this form unknown in Tourette…

EDITORIAL – The state of Main has passed a law that bars any state funds be used by organizations of faith to produce a service for the state, such as running a tuition program for kids of need.  A Christian school had previously been given state subsidies to run a tuition program, but then was cut off from applying because they were a faith-based organization.

The Supreme Court will decide if the state can prevent faith groups from creating state services, which is essentially what happens when the state grants a non-government entity a grant, or a subsidy, or a no-interest loan that doesn’t have to be paid back if you meet the need the state wanted you to meet.

The question is, does the Separation of Church and State mean the state can cut off the church (any faith group, Muslim, Brahman, Zoastrian, etc) to seek state funds to provide a service to meet the needs of those who are found needing?  If the answer is yes, then the separation of church and state might as well be changed to the hostility of state against the church.

As we experience the types of faiths that have no agentic presence outside of existentiality, we will come to understand (and for many, they already do understand) that ‘faith’ groups are not just about sky daddies, they’re about moral authoritrain assumptions wrapped around some narrative that makes one group the angels and the other group the demons.  They’re about a lot more than that, but all ‘faith groups,’ whether they have sky daddies or not (and there is a pretty healthy mix of the two at this point), that fit into this category are the ones that are easy to produce proscription lists, lists of people who are, on a merciful day, worthy of being completely excommunicated from any way of making any type of decent living, and on a usual day, should possibly be inspired to drink a  gallon of ‘kill me immediately’ poison that would kill them so bad their grand grand grand kids would also instantly die, ending their wretched heritage.

Then we might come back, if there is mercy enough to give us the grace to do so, and revisit this whole question of church and state and, perhaps, we will conclude that so long as there is a state there must be a state religion.  The question is, can we build such a thing, a religion, a habit of action assumption between a people based on a narrative anyone in that group can enter into, that can reflect the diversity of the religions and  non-religions that America currently represents?

I believe we can, and I believe that religion is built aroound the American narrative of an idea overcoming a human flaw, to give in to the temptation of majorityism, to use coercion to attempt to assure your conditional advantage, unearned on the main, should be protected, by any means necessary, from further competition.

We as a people, a people of the world, found ourselves by little effort on our part, the benefactors of an idea that, for a variety of practical reasons, created a significant choke on the power of the winners of the exchange of value from coalescing into ever larger spheres of influence controlled by ever smaller individials.

Our narrative recognizes the contributions of many peoples of the world with influences that range from the Koran to the Upinishads, from the Bible to the Annalects.   All of the wisdom traditions of the world have found themselves in part influencing the America that we have become, and all have been given that space to cross-hybridize one another thanks to the creation of a civic space that allowed all of our fundamental differences to be non-relevent when getting down to the simple act of exchange value with one another.

Where we exchange value with one another, for whatever reason, our exchange in this space should be the same whether we are dealing with one of our own tribes or one from a tribe that our tribe detests.  Whatever we feel about Dallas Cowboys fans, when they come to our stores in Philly, we serve them and treat them well.

We can exchange value even with people we hate if we honor one another’s bills of rights in all the spaces in which we exchange value with one another outside our consensually created specific fellowship associations.  In other words, if we are addressing or serving the public, we are operating in civic space.

The Bill of Rights, and how they emerged, an honest look at how they emerged, not an ideal one, is a compelling story in and of itself that all of us in this nation can enter into.  The way in which so many people among us were pressed by the fact that our use of slavery, our definition of human beings as being 3/5 of a person were so violently and vulgarly out of line with these bill of rights standards that, for so many others, had brought checks on state power in ways few realized at that time.

The few that understood what the Bill of Rights did to empower the weakest of us against the most majority of us, be it in numbers or resources or both, knew that so long as a land with such a power-flipping tool as the Bill of Rights  continued to allow the weakest, the most vulnerable, of their land, the coerced sojourner, if you will, to be denied the Bill of Rights protections of the land, to be enslaved and defined as non-human, the power of the Bill of Rights was dying as these people died, under the same oppressive whip.

Thus America struggled to overcome its utter failure at the most crucial place in society, to assure that the weakest, the most hated, the most vilified, are afforded the same Bill of Rights protections as the most powerful, an ideal that surely is never to occur, though, if your starting point does not at least give myth to this goal, then your sense of fear of the outrage of the people you allegedly serve will be significantly reduced, and your authoritarian solutions to authoritarian problems is only sure to multiply upon itself.

It would be too much for the Supreme Court to fundamentally revisit the whole question of separation of church and state, since it is based not on the letter of the Constitution, but on the letters of Jefferson to a Church that was concerned the state would be encroaching on the church.  The separation of church and state phrase itself was directed at assuaging the fears of the church that the state would impose itself on them.  Jefferson was assuring them that the church was separated from such an attenpt.

Regardless, as I stated earlier, in some part, the notion that the state can exist withoout a church is simply not possible.  The state must have a myth and an ethos that emerges from that myth that the vast majority of peoples it governs can enter into.  The real question is not a separation of church and state, but can the state create a church without an answer to a creator or non-creator that has standards that allow humans of diverse faith and non-faith views to exchange value in open, non-coercive ways despite these fundamental differences in ‘belief’?

My assumption is you can, and the honest American story as a hard, diffuclt path, one we have yet to overcome, but are seeking to get to, building a consistent space in all our civic arrangements reflect the values expressed in our Bill of Rights,  where humans are sovereigns in and of themselves insofar as they do not generally first aggress on others.

Excerpt:

July 2 (Reuters) – The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday took up a challenge by two families with children attending Christian schools to a Maine tuition assistance program that bars taxpayer money from being used to pay for religious educational institutions in a case that could further narrow the separation of church and state.

The court, which has a 6-3 conservative majority, agreed to hear an appeal by the families of a lower court ruling in favor of the state that concluded that Maine’s program did not violate the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment right to the free exercise of religion. The eventual ruling could build on other decisions by the court in recent years allowing public funds to go to religious institutions.

It was one of 10 new cases the justices added to their list of ones they will hear during the court’s next term, which starts in October. Friday’s announcement on cases was the final action in the court’s current term, which culminated in a major 6-3 ruling on ideological lines on Thursday that could make it easier for states to enact voting restrictions.
