A study recently published in a medical journal suggests ‘gender-interest stereotypes’ contribute to a drop in the number of girls who might be interested in STEM by as much as 50 percent, a startling figure if true.
What’s not certain about the study is whether these gender-interest stereotypes emerged from a biological reality of whether they were imposed in an effort to hem in the dynamic of a particular group, in this case, the female of the species. In other words, is it genes or is patriarchy? It is probably a lot of both.
As a people, it is in all our interests for our girls to be given less expectations and more options, as well as our boys. This study could potentially help us understand how to create more space for our children to discover more fully who they are, not who the world expects them to be, or it could become a cudgel used to beat on all things currently (allegedly) ‘orthodox’ and traditional.
My suspicion is if you apply the standard of creating space for boys and girls to discover more fully who they really are then the counter-coercive methodology of invalidating the orthodox and traditional and fetishizing anything the orthodox or the traditional is not would be a feckless tactic to try on such a people as that.
That respect of self becoming who they are by choice works to cut the orthodox and traditional from coercively stamping their assumptions on the next generations, but it also works to cut the non-orthodox and the non-traditional off from coercively stamping their assumptions on the next generation in a bid to become the NEW coercively imposed orthodoxy and tradition.
My suspicion is that a people raised in such liberties will produce remarkably similar ‘orthodox’ and ‘traditional’ patterns as before, just maybe not so overwhelmingly so, as the non-orthodox, the non-traditional are free to openly engage in all public space, respective of one another’s Bill of Rights ‘protections.’
The unity is the Bill of Rights, which makes the diversity possible. A Bill of Rights constructed land, a Bill of Rights led people will be respecters of what our children choose to become, not coercive stampers of our assumptions onto their newly developing minds.
Just a caveat in closing, this is NOT to suggest I don’t believe we share our orthodoxies and traditions, nor that we don’t offer some boundaries to our children, and boundaries against the world in dealing with our kids in matters that belong between parent and child alone.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WBTW) — South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson joined 16 other attorneys general in support of a Colorado cake shop that refused to make a cake celebrating a gender transition.
Wilson, in a news release, says the amicus brief supports “free speech rights of small business owners.” The brief claims cakes are works of art and should be protected by the First Amendment.
“The right to free speech is precious to all our citizens and cake bakers are no different,” Wilson said in the news release. “The U.S. Supreme Court has already ruled in favor of this same small business in a previous First Amendment case so we know we’re on solid legal ground.”
Jack Philips, who owns Masterpiece Cakeshop in Colorado, was sued after not making a custom cake celebrating a gender transition because “[i]t would violate [his] religious beliefs to send a message to anyone that he would celebrate a gender transition,” according to the news release.
Darrell Brooks J, 39, is accused of plowing through a Christmas Parade being held at Waukesha, Wisconsin, which lies roughly 50 or so minutes north of Kenosha, Wisconsin. As of the writing of this media analysis, the act has left 5 dead and 48 hospitalized, including 18 children, 6 of which are in intensive care.
Kenosha is the site of riots in 2020 that led to the shooting deaths of 2 individuals and injury to the 3rd. Kyle Rittenhouse was charged with first degree murder, among other charges, and was recently found not guilty by a jury of his peers.\

The suspected driver, 39-year-old Darrell Brooks, is facing five counts of first-degree intentional homicide, police said. He was allegedly involved in a “domestic dispute” moments prior to driving onto the parade route, and court records show he has an extensive rap sheet dating back to 1999.

The DNC machine is banking on finishing off us Americans to turn its attention to once again compete with the very mother’s milk that gave that machine power, China, the Chinese Communist Party, under the absolute control of Chairman Xi, the number one threat to American freedom in the world today, and Biden supporter.
The DNC Machine would have you believe the number one threat to America is the white face itself, while Xi marches on, gleeful of how his enemy is divided, in large part thanks to his funding of America’s enemies within, the DNC itself, the sellers of America’s freedom to the highest bidder that funds their own war machines designed to replace families with child approval boards that might one day determine at the age of 12 if you are worth further investment or not. Heaven help those who do not fit into their plans.

China already has the world’s largest navy with about 355 ships, but the country is rapidly increasing its armed forces to fulfill President Xi Jinping’s vow to transform the People’s Liberation Army into a “world class” military by 2049, according to a report from the Defense Department.
It said China pursued objectives throughout 2020 to modernize its armed forces and improve combat readiness — including the capacity to carry out long-range precision strikes and the ability to conduct “increasingly sophisticated space, counterspace and cyber capabilities.”
China also expanded its nuclear forces.
“The PRC is increasingly clear in its ambitions and intentions. Beijing seeks to reshape the international order to better align with its authoritarian system and national interests, as a vital component of its strategy to achieve the ’great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,’” according to the report provided annually to Congress, referring to China by its formal name, the People’s Republic of China.
“According to this worldview, the accrual of the PRC’s comprehensive national power, including military power, is necessary to set the conditions for Beijing to assert its preferences on a global scale,” it continued.
The report — “Military and Security Developments Involving the People’s Republic of China” – said Xi laid out plans in 2017 to complete the modernization of the PLA by 2035 and transform it into a “world class” military by 2049.
The country is doing so by merging foreign policy, economic power, defense and military strategies, and its government and politics systems into one master plan.

Miss South Africa will not have the support of her own government if she chooses to compete on the world stage in the Miss Universe contest. Her crime? The South African government has withdrawn its support for Miss South Africa after the organisation refused to pull out of the Miss Universe contest in Israel, amid calls for a boycott to show support for the Palestinian people.
Pro-Palestine organisations have called on Lalela Mswane, crowned Miss South Africa in October, and pageant organiser Miss SA to boycott the December event to condemn Israel’s treatment of the Palestinian people.
The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture said in a statement on Sunday it had tried to persuade Miss SA to withdraw from the event and still hopes to convince Mswane.
South Africa has a long history supporting the Palestinian people, and Israel’s treatment of Palestians reminds many in the country of apartheid crimes against its Black population. Israel denies it maintains an apartheid policy against Palestinians.
Political parties including the ruling African National Congress and some of the country’s biggest trade unions also support the boycott.
In the battle for the definition of value, humans have long created villains and heroes, angels and demons, to help the masses understand knowingly the value as defined by authority.
It is only, fundamentally, in the past hundred years or so that humans have begun to systematically formulate understanding and theory of the power of language to make of its own accord. The one who controls the canon of language will live to make people in that one’s image. Language makes the man, but a select few define the value assumptions and definitions that give language its human creating power.
The plans have never gone perfectly well, and some lasted only as long as the charismatic leader that orchestrated the whole thing lived. Long before language theorists, humans have intuitively understood the need to control the value and definition of language, which, for the ancients, and for the 20th century theoreticians, language is the whole expression, what has emerged to become semiotics, the study of signs and symbols.
Today, the battles being fought are mostly targeted at and executed by humans who have lived the blink of an eye, mere 30 years old and less, who have emerged from a culture that has significantly devalued historical training in any global, holistic sense, offering only memory-retention dependent courses in select epochs of time, mostly not even directly related to one another.
Their understanding of the emrgence of human thought as an exploration beyond the necessity of daily need is near-nil. Their understanding of ancient cultures throughout the world is virtually non-existent. Even having knowledge of history and sharing it with others is usually met with a roll of the eye and a quick bow out of some form like, “I’m just not into history.”
This is the cultural backdrop that allows the ancient battle for the power to hold the canon of value and definition of language, even semiotics as a whole, to seem like an innovation that might just this time break the chain of evil and create harmony and love for the people that are actually human, no matter the cost to the ones who are not so quite human after all.
These are old declarations with new labels but the same power, the visceral power to move humanity with the wave of an emotional sophiistry, clever defenses of their moral supremacist assumptions that have, at the heart of them, no logical, rational, moral, or ethical consistency beyond the demonization of one group and fetishization and deification of another.
This story is a wonderful highlight of the absurdity of the moral supremacist, revengatarian code, throughout history. The writer, Tim Cushing, seems to be quite upset with Brazil for possibly passing “Fake News” Legislation to stop the fake news, the misinformation, the dangerous information, from getting out.
The polemic Trump Derangement Syndrome vibe notwithstanding, I would certainly side with Cushing in being alarmed that a state was considering defining what is truthful and what is not, what is dangerous and what is fine, what is morally good and what is morally not good.
These words, fake news, misinformation, heresy, blasphemy, treason, sedition, terrorism, these words are part of a collection of words that have the authority of death behind them, for these words themselvles, in the minds of humans who have come to believe, be it coercively or otherwise led to that belief, that those who are guilty of sharing such things are worthless and disposable.
Not only will they not help their neighbor if the state drags them off for being fake news or dangerous or racist or etc, etc, etc, they might have been the ones to turn them in. They also might know the neighbor was innocent but they knew that the state would give them their neighbor’s house as a reward for turning them in, and their house has a pool.
Call me skeptical when it comes to my assumption that Tim Cushing might see these same dangerous tyrannical traits in a DNC-sponsored morali supremacist ideology seeking to create humans in their image by rigidly controlling, through threat of death, the value and definition of semiotics.
Taking a cue from the then Demagogue-in-Chief of the United States, Brazil’s government decided something must be done to control the spread of “fake news” to give the government more control of the narrative. “Fake news” continues to be a handy concept to abuse by governments seeking to limit their constituents’ ability to consume or create content. That was Donald Trump’s rationale as well, even if it was never articulated with any clarity or cohesiveness.
Brazil’s government liked the abusability of “fake news” and turned it into legislation. But before it did that, it gave itself some more power. It “mobilized” the federal police to combat “fake news” ahead of the country’s 2018 elections. It gave people with guns the power to regulate the internet, allowing them to “identify and punish” people who published whatever those in power said was “fake.”
