Talk about revolution, civil war, and upheaval is so strong that around 60% of Americans think it is possible to likely to occur soon. But while it may be true we need to rethink and reinvent society in a revolutionary manner, to reverse the war on freedom by the corrupt ruling class, the violence, coercion, and alienation that attend most revolutions aren’t worth the achievement of their goals.
If we juxtapose our concept of a peaceful revolution within, based on the UPDR Ideals (Unity in diversity, Popular sovereignty, Democratic equality, and Rule of law) with most ideological revolutions we see on one hand, the Upadarian (UPDRian), peace and harmony with tolerance and love, and, on the other hand, oppression, fear, and upheaval.
The Upadarian (UPDR) Revolution is peaceful change from within through freewill participation, it has little to do with politics beyond demanding politics remove its coercive control from the realms of faith, family, culture, and freewill participatory community.
The Upadarian Revolution envisions the devolution of political and corporate power and wealth from the center and top of society to private and local structures and institutions based mostly or wholly on freewill participation. In that regard, while adherents of this Revolution will gather and connect based on its shared ideals and principles, its effects could extend way beyond its practitioners.
What we call “The Upadarian Revolution” is itself a bold departure from what most people think of when they talk about revolution. Most revolutions tend toward three things: violence, compulsion, and alienation. They are conducted in violence. People who are in lockstep are compelled to adhere to their edicts. Everyone who opposes their underlying ideology is alienated from the group conducting the revolution. But the whole concept of the Upadarian Revolution is itself revolutionary: it does not in any way use violence, no compulsion is applied to anyone, and those who don’t agree with its ideas are not considered alienated from those who do.
If this kind of revolution is successful, there will be large-scale structures and global institutions that meet people’s needs, but everyone who participates in and benefits from this revolution will do so willingly and through informed consent. The chief problem with most ideologies is that they try to create structures and institutions based on coercion and force and they alienate people who don’t agree with their principles or goals. They almost claim that in order to acheive their aims, usually bogeyman fears addressed or utopian promises provided, they must be followed by everyone, without exception.
The effects of the Upadarian Revolution would be unilaterally created alternative sociocultural and socioeconomic structures and institutions, perhaps even whole private distributed cities and safe havens, that reflect shared ideals, principles, and practices based on Christian beliefs, values, and convictions. Beyond participants and adherents, such a revolution would also result in a more formal recognition and accommodation of private alternative forms of sociocultural and socioeconomic autonomy for groups of people who are drawn together through mutual consensus and freewill participation alone.
Too many “revolutions” have no value unless and until they dominate a landscape and create their own political, sociocultural, and socioeconomic hierarchies that dominate the lives of everyone. In other words, they don’t offer much of anything until everyone within a given land is under their rule. But, at the same time, even when they gain dominance, they tend to fail miserably: they don’t succeed in ending the bogeyman fears nor in fulfilling any of their utopian promises.
Our revolution is unilateral and peaceful. It is something one practices, it isn’t something one imposes. Even within unfree and dysfunctional societies, people who start with our four core ideals and use the other principles and practices will tend toward being more free and prosperous than their neighbors, all without needing the permission, much less the submission, of their neighbors. To be able to create positive and beneficial change without worrying about the opinions of others or who wins an election is a truly revolutionary idea whose time is now.
We cannot emphasize enough how our concept of revolution is such a departure from the previous concepts of revolution as a forceful change of rules and rulers over everyone, whether they like it or not. Being jingoistic, divisive, and hateful toward the “other” who doesn’t meet your expectations will not solve our problems in a just manner that honors the laws and nature of God!
People who come to embrace this new way of conducting a revolution within their own lives, relationships, associations, and communities on the basis of freewill participation alone will experience the benefits of such a revolution even if society around them continues its spiritual and moral decline into depraved corruption.
There is no “otherfying” your neighbors, no division or intolerance, and no hatred of others within our concept of revolution as we are seeing emerge on the left and right. If your version of society demands you demonize dissenters or otherfy your neighbors, then it’s more of the same top-down centralized control by the few over the many. We simply aren’t interested in otherying our neighbors or assuming everyone who doesn’t embrace our ideals and the such is somehow not as good as us. We reject the “us versus them” narrative.
One chooses the Upadarian Revolution as a pathway to fulfillment, to freedom and prosperity, and to actualizing God’s scroll of destiny and purpose for their lives, that which is God’s best for their lives. Beyond sharing this and urging others to consider this, the practitioners of our revolution don’t otherfy their neighbors or in any way pursue a path of coercion or control over anyone else.
We don’t need these top-down, coercive revolutions that use violence and that alienate people from each other.
The Upadaria Project is envisioned as a multi-faceted effort to build freedom not only to enable a strong witness and influence for Jesus to the nations but for advancing human dignity, human rights, and human flourishing for all people, all over the world. The project itself is focused on a web platform with a virtual-to-local approach to making empowering connections between fellow eCitizens, building physical hubs that act as administrative, training, and service/ministry support centers and places of refuge, and various organizational structures such as an international Christian society and NGO as well as branch societies and other organizations.
Through this project we envision empowering millions of Christians to both live in freedom and be an effective witness to the world around them. We envision a restoration of family and kinship within a freewill community of mutual trust and support as an alternative to top-down politically controlled hierarchies. We envision clustered housing arrangements that resemble the ancient extended multi-family household community than the atomized life of this culture. We envision persecuted Christians having many safe-havens spread all over the world where they can find sanctuary. We envision country-specific and international organizations with legal standing as 21st century alternative “sovereignties” (like an NGO) to advocate for and protect the rights and welfare of all Upadarians and Christians in general.
The vision of this global project would result in a new model for sharing the Gospel and for promoting freedom in general that is both more rooted in ancient and sacred truth and yet also innovative and thoroughly modern. The modalities of global communications and commerce and local and individual self-sustainability using the latest technology will allow this project to take the smallest root in many places and then grow organically from there.
All over the world, using 17 Protocols and the connections and support of our platform, people will be able to create Upo Hubs and other familial/community structures for mutual self-reliance that will be a total game changer for many who participate. This distributed, decentralized, and autonomous model based on a shared nationhood founded upon ideals and principles, will allow the Upadaria project to blossom among people in every country on this planet, potentially, and to develop and grow without top-down “management” or control.
Upadaria is both a modern innovation on the concepts of nationhood and a restoration of the spirit of lost ancient institutions, especially the extended multi-family household community and kinship groups that are autonomous of the surrounding culture.
While our work has begun and will grow as we go, our mid-term aims include gathering and mobilizing a core of backers and participants who, together, fund a $10 million per year progam that will sow the initial seeds for the web 3.0 platform, the first model Upo Hubs, and the first genesis organizational structures. We are building a core of experts and proven leaders who have accomplished great things in their fields to ensure a workable and successful plan going forward.
The activation of this project will give you both a virtual home to flourish within and find real support, collaboration, and networking, but it will also, as it grows, guarantee you a place of sanctuary and safety during any time of crisis or persecution. Through its legal structures, your own individual rights as a Christian will have real advocacy and support and through mutual assurance, you will gain help in times of lack and trial.
We are basically purpose-building the intentional infrastructure for our own sociocultural and socioeconomic autonomy that will both free us from the influence and control of the world but also enable us to become far more effective as an influence and witness for Jesus to the world. Our core breakthrough idea is a concept and execution of nationhood that has nothing to do with race or political states but that is essential for the kind of organic cohesiveness needed to both create a unified effort and respect and promote individual autonomy and fulfillment without a top-down controlling hierarchy.
While our various efforts, structures, and organizations may be open to a broad diversity of people, our core builders and leaders will come from the ranks of Christians who have adopted this spiritual nationality by embracing our core ideals, principles, and practices as well as our shared mandates, in using our 17 Protocols. Creating a form of nationhood based on ideas and spiritual truths as well as shared goals and purposes, is a massive departure from race-based nationalism or political nationalism.
Anyone in the world who loves Jesus and wishes to reach the nations in His Name can opt to become a peer of our spiritual nation by adopting the 17 Protocols of our spiritual nationhood into their own way of life, as God leads and provides. Whenever two or more people connect and collaborate and are guided by the 17 Protocols of Upadaria, they autonomously build “Upadaria”, as a Kingdom Nation within the nations, right where they live and without a top-down controlling hierarchy to dictate everything to them.
From among such people we hope to draw backers, people who subscribe to our platform and actively participate in our activities, to begin to build the genesis structures of our new and globally distributed spiritual nation and its freedom-building efforts around the world.
What building local gaps for freedom looks like is a happy neighborhood that is free and prosperous and that isn’t under the thumb of a corporate-government monopoly seeking to undermine faith and family in order to create an atomized society of cogs in a machine that benefit only the ruling class.
Gaps for freedom basically means anything that allows more freedom than the systems and structures of society normally permit if you depend on them. If you depend on the monopoly corporate platforms to express your political views or the monopoly corporate payment processors to get paid from clients, then you are not very free. If, on the other hand, you can get your message out past the censors and process payments without the monopoly corporate payment processors, then you have found a gap for freedom.
Even official edicts are often couched in conditional “dependencies”, like if your business is public-facing they will demand you comply with things that violate your conscience, or if you want to cluster together with others of a same mind but use traditional means to buy and sell or lease property, you don’t get to choose the people who live right beside you. In both instances, there are ways to find gaps for freedom: a business that only caters to members of a private club or a mutual benefit corporation that only sells shares to members of a private club, are good examples.
Building freedom locally is the best way to eventually pish back against and defeat the freedom takers, unless they wish to go full violent totalitarian oppressive, in which case the consequences of upheaval would be theirs alone.
Unless you are rich and can command a small army of staff and personal security to isolate you from the greater sociocultural, socioeconomic, and political environment, you will find that your options as an individual are limited, Buying food in some places and getting supplies without a Walmart or an Amazon are virtually impossible for an individual, but not for smaller groups of around 120 adults who can grow food and use bulk buying, even paying a member to travel and get supplies not locally available. Indeed, this group could even create a sort of private “general store” that knows what everyone wants, buys in bulk, and then lets members buy with a private trade scrip.
If you want to be free from an increasingly authoritarian and intolerant ruling class and their corrupt national institutions and mega corporations, you have to be willing to network with and share resources and work with fellow freedom seekers who desire the same kind of life as you do.
People who desire the kind of life that is represented by millennia of Christian moral and doctrinal orthodoxy are the most vulnerable to the freedom takers in their bid to reshape society through manipulation, bullying, and coercion by the corporate world and the government. Their vision for society is an alt-gendered mass of atomized individuals whose “freedom” is limited to pleasure-seeking without any nod at all to the kind of morals and virtues needed for a society wherein most children, most of the time, are raised in a living home by their own biological or adopted parents.
It isn’t enough if you do not demand or desire anyone to follow this way of life and if all you want is to be able to live this life, express yourself, and even organize your own private associations and relationships on the basis of those standards and norms applicable to this life. Not only don’t the ruling class want you to share your views or express yourself along these lines, they don’t even want you to be able to live such a life, which they deem to be “out of bounds.” What this means is that the ruling class believe, or they want everyone to believe, that a man loving a woman and both raising their own children together and being wed for life is itself ‘oppression” and “evil” and that we must do away with both the propagation of this idea and with anyone trying to live out this idea.
But, the problem for them is, they cannot be open about this and if they use hard power, if they attempt to close off all gaps for freedom and make it legally impossible to live at peace if you both live our and express this way of life, they will find themselves unable to control the resultant uprising.
Sadly, for most Americans, there will never be a massive majority who resort to this way of life again, who are vocal about it, and who will use whatever gaps for freedom they can to get around the “soft” and conditional restrictions imposed by the corporate and political world. What this means is that, the tolerance for the minority who would use these gaps for freedom will be driven by both a fear lest being overt creates an uprising and out of a belief that if only a few people are doing this, it won’t seriously interrupt their plans.
Building freedom locally demands that you find and connect with fellow freedom seekers and that you become or find freedom builders, people with knowledge, skills, and resources to build gaps for freedom by the use of technology, financial arrangement, mutual benefit corporations, private clubs, and the such to shift how you spend your time and money from things the ruling class controls to things you and your associates control,
Like Gideon of old, we face an army of modern Midianites who have spread like locusts on the land, devouring our wealth and freedom. An effective response is needed that shifts the battle from the realm of human and earthly power to the spiritual dimension where nations of people whose God is the Lord enjoy His Divine favor and protection.
Bill Collier- What does it mean to be an American? What does it mean to be part of a Christian nation? What do you do when the very meaning of being an American has been watered down to nothing and your nation and country are positively hostile to the Christian way of life and also to liberty as defined by the original spirit and intent of the US Bill of Rights?
The need to be part of a nation whose God is the Lord is not necessarily a felt need, it’s not something many consciously think about, although subconsciously the instinct can almost become a bit jingoistic and intolerant of people who one might not consider to be “Americans” based on some perceived sociocultural or religious definition. But love of freedom and love of God are strictly voluntary and, as a matter of fact, American citizenship or residency here are not conditioned on those beliefs.
For many who wish to define being an American in such terms as at least a Judeo-Christian worldview and love of liberty, as defined by the Bill of Rights in their more classic and generous definitions, the deeper instinct is a desire to be part of a freedom-loving nation whose God is the Lord. The desire to be connected to an entire, larger-scale body of people whose affections and convictions mirror your own, is perfectly natural and noble.
But the horse is out of the barn, as it were, and the definition of an American as a shared national identity has in fact been watered down to the point where general consensus as to any definition is impossible. Efforts to redefine our national identity in a more freedom-loving and Judeo-Christian manner are bound to exclude fellow citizens and would potentially violate the rights of others or lead to further catastrophic division among the populace.
While our proposal to develop a new form of spiritual nationhood is not limited to the United States of America, the development of an intentional nationality that is in fact explicitly Christian and freedom-loving while being strictly voluntary and open to men and women of any race or ancestry, answers the instinctive desire to be part of a nation whose God is the Lord and whose very spirit is a freedom-loving spirit. The proliferation and adoption of this identity in the US and around the world is a deeply spiritual and then sociocultural and socioeconomic response to the overt top-down, hierarchical systems of control perpetuated by a corrupt ruling class through coercion and manipulation.
Essentially, this new intentional nationality compliments your present citizenship as an American and your own ancestry, without replacing these identities, and nurtures your core spiritual identity as a follower of Yeshua who is the Christ. It is a way to connect to a national people whose God is the Lord and it is a unique and positive response to the top-down systems of control that uses purely voluntary and cultural means to carve out gaps for freedom through peaceful means.
We call this new and intentional nationality “Upadarian”, that is, being a peer of a spiritual nation whose God is the Lord, a spiritual nation distributed all over the world and peopled by individuals who simply adopt this nationality through a common Pledge before God, and God alone, to live a certain way of life and share certain goals and purposes.
Your ancestral nationality, or nationalities, is something you are born with and in many cases, your citizenship is also inherited or, in other cases, adopted. These are forms of nationhood in their own way, but spiritual nationhood, as we propose it, is not inherited. In the same way being a follower of Yeshua cannot be inherited but must be chosen, this kind of nationhood must be chosen.
For those who love freedom and love God, a form of nationhood that reflect these values provides a nurturing connection at scale with everyone else who adopts the same nationality. Everyone who does this knows that everyone else who does the same has the same values. When they encounter each other they can be reasonably certain of behavioral standards and norms and have expectations of ethical principles that will be followed in any transaction.
This form of nationhood doesn’t replace any other identity, such as your ancestry or citizenship. As an American you can love your country and pursue its good while adopting a nested national identity that truly reflects your beliefs, values, and convictions and allows you to easily and quickly connect with anyone else who goes by the same shared national identity.
What does the Upadarian identity entail and can other identies be used to the same effect? The latter question has a simple answer: in God’s schema for human civilization a multiplicity of nations of people, defined in spiritual as opposed to political terms, through freewill participation and not merely inheritance, is perfectly normal and desirable. As to what being a Upadarian entails, it is basically an intentional and purely voluntary adoption of 17 Protocols which define a shared way of life.
This isn’t a system of rules and regulations enforced by a human authority or a top-down controlling hierarchy, it is strictly something each participant commits to before God and only God. It may be confirmed and recognized by others in a formal way, but this is neither essential nor required. Anyone who is drawn to our 17 Protocols and who seeks before God to utilize them to fulfill His scrolls of purpose and destiny and God’s best for their lives as well as our shared purposes and destiny is a peer of our spiritual nation. This is a commitment made by each person before God alone and no human agency as well as no permission is required for one to do this.
We are not redefining nationhood so much as we are resorting that form of nationhood we find within the Kingdom of God, a Kingdom of many diverse nations of people all whose God is the Lord. While for some nations of people, things like ancestry and where one lives may be part of their identity, the spiritual and sociocultural basis of that form of nationhood are always strictly based on voluntary freewill participation.
But the vision and purpose of Upadaria as a spiritual nation is unique in that the homeland of our nation is envisioned as being distributed all over the world, here and there, and ancestry plays no role in determining who can become a peer of our nation. Our goals as a people include raising the banner of freedom for all human beings, ushering in and nurturing the Kingdom Age and universal nationhood in Christ among the Elect, and being the vanguard people of a new civilization through the creation of our own genesis structures.
For American Christians in particular, especially those who remain faithful to the doctrinal and moral orthodoxy of historic Christianity, becoming a Upadarian by adopting our 17 Protocols as a guide to their own way of life and a means of connecting and collaborating with others, is a viable and useful means of reconnecting to America’s Judeo-Christian foundations and manifest destiny without alienating others who may neither be Christians nor as committed to freedom.
Basically, we propose, the Upadarian nationality is in fact the succesor peoplehood to America’s founders, especially people like the Pilgrims and the Puritans and people like William Bradford and William Penn. But this isn’t merely a throwback to the past, it is an advancement built upon the previous successes that also learns from previous mistakes and failures.
The Upadarian nationality is a new spiritual form of nationhood one adopts as a nested idenity that is complimentary of your ancestral nationality and your present citizenship. It certainly doesn’t stop you from loving your country and it positively affirms and nurtures your core identity as a spiritual citizen of the Kingdom of God.
There is power in nationhood when that form of nationhood has Jesus Christ as its head. This cannot be imposed. People either adopt it or they don’t, they need no human permission to do so and no human authority may compel them to do so! But everyone who sincerely adopts such an identity is part of nation whose God is the Lord and everyone who is part of such a nation is eligible to share in the supernatural blessings and provisions which God reserves for such nations of people.
Through the intentional adoption of a form of nationhood whose head is Christ and whose frameworks and blueprints reflect the core spiritual DNA of the very Kingdom of God, we remove the battle for freedom from the realm of human and earthly power into the realm of spiritual sovereignty powered by the supernatural provision of God. As and when millions of Americans and millions of other people around the world adopt this shared form of intentional spiritual nationhood, by adopting the 17 Protocols as their chosen way of life and the very core of their mutual support, we can literally expect the same God who blessed ancient Israel to protect and defend this nation.
There are many practical and useful ideas and principles which one can glean from the Upadarian nationality and make part of mutual support groups and networks of similar people. But the supernatural protection and provision of God for all such nations of people is essential to understanding how becoming a Upadarian will tend to make you more free.
Behold, a new nation among humankind, a nation of people drawn from every race and ancestry, distributed all over the world, destined to be harbingers of a new civilization and a witness and influence for Yeshua to the nations!
The Gideon’s Call of Upadaria is a call to nationhood that moves you toward your own scroll of destiny and purpose and connects you to a grand and glorious shared scroll of destiny and purpose. Nation builders for the Lord are called forth to do a new thing which happens only every 500 or so years!
If you resonate with an opportunity to truly be part of a nation whose God is the Lord, in the vision of Upadaria is your path to experience the unique blessings and provision that will enable you to fulfill the scroll of destiny and purpose for your life, which is God’s best for your life, with excellence. Whatever your past or present, your future can be glorious and complete, without limitation!
Is your country poor or corrupt or unfree? If your own past riddled with mistakes you cannot undo or get past? Is your wealth limited and your means to gain wealth narrow?
The power of nationhood as God defines it is transfigurative, it transcends reality as you know it because, if properly understood, it taps into an eternal and universal reality that harmonizes with Creation itself. It can be apprehended and experienced as an individual, you need no guru or top-down system of control, it is something one adopts in relationship to God alone, without any human authority dictating to you. When you begin to use its ideals, principles, and practices you feel, experience, and see the laws of Creation conspiring on your behalf.
To become a Upadarian, if, and only if, this is connected to God’s scroll of destiny and purpose for YOUR life, you step into a supernatural realm of possibilities that comes from God’s heavenly blueprint, a sacred framework, not defined by human or earthly understanding. Even the concept of nationhood, which earthly thinkers define as politics, statehood, or even race and ancestry, is transcendent and liberating, it is rooted in the Kingdom and of its essence, it is freeing and empowering.
Nationhood is, at its heart, a shared scroll of destiny and purpose that harmonizes, nay, enhances and empowers, your own individual scroll of destiny and purpose! This is what we call “wyrd”, a story written before time through a collaboration of your Will and God’s will and design, a destiny and purpose that CANNOT be limited or defined by earthly means.
The grand purpose of diverse nations of people within God’s Kingdom is this: that people might find God if haply they seek Him. And if they find God, they find His wyrd for themselves and they connect to a shared wyrd, such as marriage and family and nationhood, all the things ordained by God for human civilization.
Even if you are not ordained by God to become a peer of Upadaria, our globally distributed spiritual nation, if you follow Yeshua you are ordained to walk in our universal nationhood as Believers and you are likely, if you seek it, called to be part of a diversity expression of Kingdom Nationhood through a unique spiritual nation.
Nationhood itself is the big breakthrough idea of our age, it will become a central theme for the future, both in terms of am emerging new civilization and within the whole Body of Christ.
Nationhood is individual and shared destiny and purpose actualized for the glory of God, the praise of His Name, and the advancement of the presence and influence of the Kingdom among us all.
The Upadarian nation is unique because it is specifically designed to draw people from many diverse ancestries and so-called “races”, because it is intended to be distributed globally, and because its very “homeland of heart and hearth” will consist of tiny to larger plots of land distributed all over the world here and there as safe havens for freedom. Our nation is not a political state of any kind, but everything spiritual transcends the political or any earthly system and cannot be overcome by any earthly means.
Those seeking to understand theories and roots of truth, deeper principles, for the sheer privilege of knowing them, may pass on and keep their theoretical journey going past the truth and past destiny. Those who see in this, IF this is meant for them, a call to participate, will, as a matter of course, find those roots of truth and deeper principles but for the purpose of actualizing them effectively.
If you want to live fully and enjoy this life and if you desire to be prepared for the life to come, and if this calling harmonizes with the scroll of destiny and purpose for your life, then in embracing and identifying with this diversity expression of Kingdom Nationhood you will find the most sublime truths of the Kingdom as well.
They say you will not find the right answers unless you ask the right questions. Those who ask “why is this so, what is the essential truth” may err, because the right question is “how shall I live before God?” If you seek this and get your answer, and those who are sincere will get their answer, then these other questions will be answered as well.
You are trying to go to a route without getting there by the means provided. Outside of knowing your wyrd and understanding your shared wyrd, you will not profit from understanding the root of all things. If indeed you are called to our particular form of spiritual nationhood in Christ, your answers will come through the path of understanding FIRST your OWN wyrd, then a shared wyrd like our nationhood, then the wyrd of Creation itself.
Unprofitable questions are often those which are out of order. One must understand the puddle at one’s feet before understanding the deepest elementals which govern all bodies of water. Likewise, one must understand their own wyrd before understanding the wyrd of Creation. One must understand their own wyrd before understanding the wyrd of humanity. One must see their own nature, both of the flesh and their undying spirit, before exploring deeply that which is the universal nature of humankind.
While this does not apply to everyone, if you are indeed called and ordained to be a nation-builder for Yeshua in participating in Upadaria, if you desire to understand all the deepest universals before understanding your role and purpose within our shared wyrd, which enhances your individual wyrd, then it is likely even if you get your answer it will not profit you.
We must ever ve careful of three things:
First, we must never present Upadaria as a system of rules and requirements. It is an opportunity and its ideals, principles, practices and the such, its entire shared wyrd, are a means for the individual to actualize their own wyrd. If it takes away from your wyrd, it’s not meant for you and only you can determine that.
Second, this vision is not incumbent upon all people or all Christians, it may be rooted on Kingdom essentials regarding nationhood that are universal, but Upadaria as a spiritual nation is not part of every Christian’s wyrd any more than our unique and particular convictions, expressed in our 17 Protocols, equate to “doctrine” or the essential doctrinal and moral orthodoxy of historic orthodoxy. Our unique convictions conform to historic orthodoxy, they do not define it.
Third, while any structures and organizations based on the vision of the Upadarian nationality and on the vision of a Upadarian civilization will exist, the path of entry and ongoing participation is always and essentially a matter solely between the individual and God. Nobody has to buy anything or join anything to be a peer of a spiritual nation, it is a shared identity based on a shared wyrd that eminates from and depends upon God alone and the individual.
Upadaria is a spiritual nation, any Upadarian structures or institutions that emerge will come and go, they are not the nation and if or when they fade, the spiritual nation will remain if its core identity is Yeshua and His Kingdom.
These are hard things to understand because your thinking is colored by the earthly definitions of nationhood. In a similar manner as to how the Jews saw the Kingdom of God and could not disconnect their earthly understanding of kingdoms, so too people struggle with a form of nationhood rooted in the Kingdom.
The call to become a peer of Upadaria is not universal, but we believe the call to be part of the eternal and universal nationhood of all Believers is uncomment upon all Christians. We further believe that for many, understanding the diversity of nationhood as a peer of Upadaria will unlock the door to understand the universals upon which this is predicated. The entry point and progression is not necessarily from root to manifestations, it is from simple and surface, e.g. the diversity manifestation, to deeper and sublime, the universal.
If the idea and appeal of being part of a Christian nation and a Christian civilization draws you and makes your heart glad, you may indeed be called to adopt this diversity expression of Kingdom Nationhood, becoming a peer of Upadaria through a pledge between God and you alone. You may or may not go deeper and you may or may not be ordained to become a nation builder and to help build the genesis structures of this globally distributed spiritual nation and the new civilization, this is not required to become a peer of Upadaria and to enjoy the specific blessings and provisions which flow from God to and through nations and through no other means.
To identify as a Upadarian, as a peer of Upadaria, is to embrace our vision, our shared purpose, our ideals, our principles, our practices, the concept of nine governments, and the 17 Protocols of Upadaria.
Everyone who chooses, between God and themselves alone, to become a peer of Upadaria is eligible for the blessings God reserves for nations whose God is the Lord and comes within the sacred boundaries, pomerium in our lingo, of that spiritual nation.
We are a spiritual nation defined by these things and we are not defined by race, ancestry, or political citizenship. Anyone, anywhere in the world who follow Yeshua can become a Upadarian by simply choosing to adopt this identity and way of life as a commitment solely between themselves and God.
Our Vision- Our vision has three aspects; the birth of a new spiritual nation, the global emergence of a new civilization, and actualization of the Kingdom Age among the Elect.
Birth of a new nation- we envision a new spiritual nation whose peers are distributed all over the world in the form of distributed cities and extended households and that is defined by the ideals, principles, practices, and mandates they freely adopt.
Emergence of a new civilization- we envision a coming new civilization whose ideals are explicitly based on Kingdom essentials which will transcend the dying civilizations of this era.
Actualization of the Kingdom Age- we envision the Body of Christ walking in the reality and possibilities of the Kingdom Age which is upon us.
Our Shared Purpose- We seek together to promote, nurture, and build tools, resources, and structures, as well as institutions, in support of Kinship, Missions, and Refuge through freewill participation which also enhances the fulfillment of our individual, God-given scroll of destiny and purposes as well as our shared scroll of destiny and purpose as a nation of people whose God is the Lord.
Our Kinship Mandate- We advance spiritual kinship that is rooted in the ancient Biblical model for family, extended family, and community.
Our Missions Mandate- We promote holistic missionary activity and a missional lifestyle as a witness and influence for Yeshua to the nations.
Our Refuge Mandate- We aim to provide places of refuge and means and resources for mutual support and disaster preparedness both for ourselves and for Christian asylum seekers and people in crisis.
Our Core Ideals- Our interactions, relationships, associations, communities, and governance are guided by a Judeo-Christian understanding and fair and balanced application of the four core ideals of a new civilization, which include Unity in diversity, Popular sovereignty, Democratic equality, and Rule of law.
Our Core Principles- we are guided in our purposes and in our interactions by the core principles of our nation as a spiritual nation whose God is the Lord and these include the principles of our social ethic, our social vision, our freedom essentials, and our prosperity precepts.
Our Social Ethic- We believe we must all respect the human dignity, human rights, and human flourishing of others through an ethic that upholds and protects the well-being, autonomy, and justice each human being is owed because they are made in the very image of God.
Our Social Vision- We envision a free and pluralistic society of equals in the greater society and a society based on freewill participation among ourselves which utilizes the principles of consensus, sustainability, and cooperation for the individual and common good.
Our Freedom Essentials- We believe the essence of freedom is civic and moral virtue, liberty as defined by the original spirit and intent of the US Bill of Rights, and independence through individual and mutual self-reliance, self-determination, and self-preservation.
Our Prosperity Precepts- Prosperity comes through a free and fair market based on individual and participatory ownership with a guarantee of access to investment, land, ownership, and protection primarily through a free, fair, just, and mutually profitable exchange but also through mutual assurance and private, voluntary benevolence.
Our Core Practices- Our practices in how we live and act are guided by our understanding of the four core elements of the Kingdom of God as manifested among humanity and as expressed through human civilization.
These elements include the Ecclesium, the Ethnium, the Oikosium, and the Koinonium. Each has a primary core ideal, although all are governed by all four core ideals, such a Unity in diversity for Ecclesium, Popular sovereignty for Ethnium, Democratic equality for Oikosium, and Rule of law for Koinonium. Every structure and institution is defined by its operation in relation to one or more of these elements.
We practice Ecclesium- We see the Ecclesium as a spiritual city-state of the Elect and the spiritual sovereignty of each Believer (regency). Ecclesium comes from the word EKKLESIA in Greek which is often transated as “church” but which implies a deeper and broader universal community of all Believers but also the principles and concepts of a distributed city within an area of multiple cities.
We practice Ethnium- We see Ethnium as a form of spiritual nationhood based on freewill participation. The word Ethnium comes from the Greek word ETHNE and describes the realm governed by a body of people of the same national identity and their self-determination. Diverse nations are ordained by God. Ethnium also describes the concept of a universal form of nationhood shared by all Believers which is our core shared identity.
We practice Oikosium- We see Oikosium as the familial community of an extended multi-family household for mutual support.
We practice Koinonium- We see Koionium of freewill participatory association for shared purposes and a common good.
The Nine Governments- The concept of “nine governments” basically says the decision-making processes, the stakeholders, and the functions of governance should reflect the primary type of mission and purpose envisioned. The nine governments are Regium, Magiesterium. Ethnium. Governate, Societas, Civitas, Agorate, Comunis, and Ecclesium.
Our nine governments, as a concept, include Regium as the unifying and charter power, Magisterium as the magistrate and chief protector of the people, Ethnium as the sociocultural and spiritual authority preserving the way of life of a people, the Governate as the chief civil power, the Civitas and the chief civic power, the Agorate as the chief economic authority, the Societas as the chief social authority, the Comunis as the social services authority, and the Ecclesium as representing the faith community.
The 17 Protocols of Upadaria
We use the 17 Protocols of Upadaria both to fulfill our own individual God-given scroll of destiny and purpose for our lives and our shared scroll of destiny and purpose as a nation of people whose God is the Lord.
1. Kingdom Nationhood
WE ARE REGENTS OF YESHUA, THE CHRIST AND CITIZENS OF HIS KINGDOM Fulfilling our Regency as Kings, Priests, and joint-Heirs with Yeshua in His Kingdom is something we seek daily through practicing fellowship with all Believers where we live, work, and worship. We exercise our spiritual sovereignty and fulfill God’s best for our lives with excellence.
2. The New Civilization
A NEW CIVILIZATION OF BELIEVERS EMERGES AS OLD CIVILIZATIONS FALTER Understanding times and seasons and cycles and patterns allows us to see that we are living in a time of visitation. The existing paradigms have resulted in a centralized corpostate that politicizes all aspects of society, such as a church system and culture that is limited by religion and Western practices. These will be lawfully and peacefully transcended over time as the new civilization emerges.
3. The Spiritual Nation
WE ARE A SPIRITUAL NATION OF PEOPLE WHOSE GOD IS THE LORD God ordains the nations and calls them into being. His Word establishes the boundaries of their habitation and time of their existence. We believe God has called and ordained us to be Peers of a new spiritual nation, defined by spiritual sovereignty, whose God is the Lord.
4. Living Nationhood
NATIONHOOD IS A PATH TO FULFILL GOD’S RIGHTEOUS STANDARDS THROUGH IDEALS, PRINCIPLES, PRACTICES, AND MANDATES As kingdom essentials are honored and practiced personally, relationally, and professionally, righteousness will exalt our nation.
5. Living Regency
WE EXERCISE OUR INDIVIDUAL AND CORPORATE REGENCY TO PROVIDE A REFUGE TO OURSELVES AND OTHERS As Believers, by practicing individual and corporate Regency through the framework of our spiritual nation, we serve as Kings and Priests who sovereignly steward all God has entrusted through a network of trust communities called Shires.
6. A Trust Community
WE PRACTICE THE WAYS OF A TRUST COMMUNITY CENTERED ON YESHUA, THE CHRIST Through building intentional community, Believers can connect with others for mutual profit, support, empowerment, liberation, and fulfillment of individual and shared purpose.
7. The Shirehold
WE INTENTIONALLY PRACTICE EXTENDED KINSHIP People are not made to be isolated and separated. Life in the Kingdom is not just about what we do individually, but how we live with others. Our lifestyle is an expression of agape love in family, community, and collaboration. A Shirehold is an intentional multifamily extended household community in close geographical proximity.
8. The Kinship Mandate
WE IMPART THE PRACTICES AND VIRTUE OF KINSHIP We form small, extended familial groups and practice mutual care and support with our relatives, fellow Upadarians, and fellow Believers according to a Biblical blueprint. We refer to these as Kinship Groups wherein we view the success and well-being of those we are connected to as equally important as our own.
9. The Missionary Mandate
WE PURSUE MISSIONAL LIVES AND SUPPORT WORLD MISSIONS We embrace a holistic approach as witnesses in word, deed, and influence. We seek to live as examples of the gospel, support those carrying the gospel, and distribute the benefits of the gospel to the oppressed.
10. The Refuge Mandate
WE PROVIDE REFUGE FOR OURSELVES AND OTHERS We provide refuge in emergency and crisis situations by offering security, safety, and medical supplies and services for ourselves and those we grant refuge to, especially fellow Christians. Everyone who flies our flag is committed to providing refuge to people in need and aiding refugees by connecting them with local resources
11. Heavenly Blueprints
WE BUILD STRUCTURES AND PHYSICIAL SPACES THAT REFLECT HEAVEN’S BLUEPRINTS The very design of our spaces and structures where we live, work, or gather facilitate healthy, living, and prosperous relationships and associations which occur within them.
12. Fulfilling The Revolution Within
WE GROW IN WISDOM TO FULFILL GOD’S BEST FOR OUR LIVES The Revolution Within is inspired by a commitment to learn “line upon line” and “precept upon precept.” Maturation involves moving beyond milk to meat to actualize our purposes and bolster the Kingdom.
13. The Marriage Covenant
WE ARE DEVOTED TO BOTH THE UNIVERSAL MARRIAGE TO YESHUA, THE CHRIST AND OUR MARRIAGES We believe that the purpose of marriage is to reflect the relationship of Yeshua, the Christ to His Beloved and to be the means by which a man and woman reflect the divine model of love in covenant.
14. Family Honor
WE ARE COMMITTED AND CONNECTED TO OUR NUCLEAR FAMILY, RELTTIVES, INTENTIONAL KIN, AND FELLOW BELIEVERS The people in our circle of closest relationships, from relatives to those we choose to adopt into our family, should be honored and cared for as God gives us the means and opportunity to. This honor begins with our nuclear family and continues to our close relatives and others in our inner circle of relationships.
15. The Duty To Progeny
WE NURTURE OUR PROGENY AND BUILD FOR THEIR FUTURE We have a sacred duty to build up and nurture our spiritual and physical descendants and leave them a birthright of value and worth. We impart our beliefs, values, and convictions so they may find God if they seek him. We build structures that will benefit future generations for centuries to come.
16. Our Gideon’s Call
WE PROCLAIM OUR VISION FOR A SPIRITUAL NATION TO THOSE WHO WOULD ANSWER THE CALL In the Book of Judges, Gideon called and over 30,000 answered. God chose only 300 to take the first step toward liberating Israel from the Midianites before the rest of the nation rejoined them. Likewise, we broadcast the call and offer the resources needed to be a Peer of our spiritual nation. The call to Peerage is between God and the individual alone.
17. Fulfilling Our Scroll
WE STRIVE TO FULFILL GOD’S BEST FOR OUR LIVES WITH EXCELLENCE The scroll of our life is a gift from God reflecting our unique identities in Yeshua, the Christ. Each scroll was written non-linearly before natural birth. It is the guiding “wyrd” we are invited to daily align our willful intents with. In accordance with our scroll, we aim to empower ourselves and others through intimacy with God.
Western Civilization is now old and decrepit, it has advanced to a stage of moral and spiritual decline from which no civilization can recover, and all the signs of its depraved corruption are abundantly clear to any discerning student of history. Those who imagine they can save this civilization and its sociocultural, socioeconomic, and political structures or even its religious and familial institutions from further breakdown and ruin are sadly ignorant of the cycles and patterns of history.
A “world-as-spoil” mentality and a growing inequality of wealth distribution coupled with increasing command and control, top-down hierarchical diktat over intimate affairs of life once of no concern to such authorities, are transforming the entire society into an authoritarian madhouse to most morally and intellectually honest people. All of this has been oft repeated by every dead civilization that ran its course. Their brittle, fragile societal structures and institutions appeared strong against the common person, but any major natural or man-made challenge sweeps them aside and leads to the end of their proper functioning.
As with every old civilization, the more true and honest souls who deeply revere the pure spiritual essence which once animated that civilization seek to return it to these noble roots and re-found it through reformation and purification of its institutions. While this is a losing battle, the efforts either fail totally and their progenitors suffer the wrath of the morally depraved rulers of that civilization’s institutions or they inadvertently sow the seeds of a new civilization.
Never before in human history has one civilization spanned so much territory as Western Civilization or influenced or infected so many other civilizations with its spirit and its corruption. Today, while Western Civilization has itself become a top-down, corporate and government partnership imposing an increasingly depraved sociocultural worldview and lifestyle throughout its realm, it is also infecting others and using the might of its universal empires, America and the European Union, to punish those powers that refuse to bow to its rainbow gods and its global governance.
We can say that the collapse of Western Civilization will drag almost the entire globe into chaos and upheaval, leading to economic ruin, political chaos, and likely military conflict, among other destabilizing events. The institutions and powers of Western Civilization have their claws in every other country on the planet, thanks in part to a global trade system that has rendered every country interdependent of the rest of the planet and acutely connected to all the vicissitudes impacting any major power.
The fall of the West could take decades, or even a few more centuries, though any major catastrophic event at any time could unravel its sociocultural, socioeconomic, or political institutions within weeks or months. These institutions are already brittle and weak, hence the overreaction and puffed-up arrogance of their leaders who are drawn to authoritarianism like flies to honey. It is over compensation for inner weakness these leaders sense but dare not vocalize.
But regardless of the timline for the physical collapse of every Western power and institution, real ruin and collapse of services and trust, both essential to support individuals and families, is already being felt by a strong plurality of people. As for those whose spiritual and moral values more closely resemble to heritage of the progenitors of Western Civilization, they cannot recognize the present society as anything connected to those ancient values. The very essence of the present society is overtly hostile to the values and traditions present only 50 or so years past and anyone who is older remembers a life that cannot see any trace of that life in the present culture.
Basically, for anyone who still has affection and loyalty to the Judeo-Christian essence of the old civilization finds the present society an affront, a hostile threat, to their values and way of life. For them, if civilization itself is a spiritual and moral reality that nurtures the individual, marriage, faith, family, and community, then it is said that civilization has already collapsed and only a lifeless corpse artificially animated through sheer unnatural force remains.
It is precisely this stage of ruin, evidenced by spiritual and moral depravity, that sees the first signs of the seeds of a new civilization emerge, usually and ironically, among those who tend to wish to revive the old civilization and return it to its roots. The new often emerges within the old through a process known as “withdrawal and advance” whereby the harbingers of the new withdraw into their own sociocultural and socioeconomic structures and communities only to advance after the collapse furthers its negative impact on people’s lives.
Those who build new relationships, associations, communities, structures, and then whole institutions around what become the essentials of the new civilization actually tend to become the progenitors of the ruling class which will stand atop the edifice of the new civilization that must follow. When a small plurality of people both realize the present society is itself a threat to their way of life and that they have the means to erect their own alternative structures to protect their lifestyle and provide for their needs, they begin an internal exile of sorts which disconnects them from the systems of control that rule the old civilization.
This process of withdrawal to advance is as old as civilization itself and seems to be the first step toward surviving past through and past the period of decay. Even as, for those who embrace faith and family as the foundation of life itself, the old civilization has already failed and its structures have already become alien and hostile, the seeds of a new civilization have already begun to sprout.
What follows the collapse of civilization as many once knew it is the early emergence of the alternative associations and structures by which individuals can maintain the ancient ways and shield themselves from the attention and interfere of the old and decadent institutions. It is irony itself that the people who keep trying to redefine sociocultural norms in a manner they perceive to be necessary, evolutionary, modern innovations are in fact reviving a pre-civilizational culture of savage, hedonistic barbarity. They represent the dark past, not the glorious future they pretend to represent.
Blurring the lines of gender and divorcing marriage as an institution of progenation and sociocultural interdependence to render it merely a contract of mutual pleasure-making and transient feelings of fleeting erotic-romantic affection, are the ways of savage uncivilized people. They are the ways of the past, always revived when a civilization is in decline and ruin.
The other irony of times like these is that those deemed backwards and who it is said are clinging to the past, no longer modern or progressive, actually represent the future and the seeds of a new civilization which will transced the old.
The collapse of Western Civilization is aleady well underway and the first signs of rebellion against its morally and spiritually depraved ruling class with their barbaric uncivilized culture are already also present. The new will emerge among the heroic progenitors of a new people and new structures which have deeper spiritual roots in ancient ways.
The progenitors of the new, as pioneers of the first new people or peoples whose inner convictions revive but modernize the ancient ways, will tend over time to survive and thrive, seemingly untouched as the impacts of the collapse hurt many people around them. The old will continue its ruin and those who imagine they represent the future by adopting its depraved cultural norms will feel the sorrowful and painful impact that befalls such a people who defy the eternal laws of cause and effect.
On one hand, and all around, spiritual and moral depravity leads to socioeconomic and physical tragedy for more and more lives. On the other hand, and within and among them, a new people or peoples coalesce around new alternative structures and, despite persecution and marginalization, ultimately experience thriving abundance.
Ruination and tragedy on one hand seems to prevail as most people adopt the uncivilized sociocultural norms being imposed by a corrupt ruling class. But on the other hand abundance and prosperity emerge within alternative structures and communities animated by what will become the spiritual essence of the new civilization.
Those who have clear eyes to see that the modern innovations aren’t progress but a regression to barbaric and dark times of ruin will tend to embrace the new and, as new structures emerge, here and there, they will shift their loyalty from the old standards to the new banners of unity. The emergence of the new civilization may look like a sort of renewal of the ancient ways, albeit in a modern adaptation, but it becomes a further advancement of human civilization itself, a next evolution toward a better future of abundance and happiness.
The ancient ways show us the future and next evolution of society, the modern innovations which are divorced from those ways are merely a throwback to pre-civilizational savagery. People who seriously debate or are confused by gender identity are not civilized in an advanced way, they have become barbaric savages driven by animal lusts and instincts that defy the laws of Creation itself to their own hurt and shame.
In advanced civilization, the great questions are centered around what the laws of creation truly are, but in savage times, especially the latter days of a doing civilization, the very notion such laws exist is questioned or, even if they may somewhat be acknowledged, the “great” questions center around WHY the Creator made or allowed those laws. Why would the Creator punish people for not serving or loving them and why would they create people even capable of defying those laws knowing the consequences to those people?
Asking unlearned questions without an answer any human can give is in fact fostered by the culture of a barbaric society that can’t be bothered with truth or practical wisdom, with laws of cause and effect as they actually are and which we cannot control or question. The deeper question is not “why did the Creator make this so” but “what is so and how can I use these laws of cause and effect to avdance my own life?”
An advanced civilization is not interested in the inner psychic satisfaction of individuals in ever-learning and debating without coming to knowledge so much as understanding the laws of Creation and avdancing the physical and mental as well as eternal well-being of each individual. When one ceases the advancement toward true enlightenment as to the laws of creation, the habit is to pursue mental gymanistics and doubts that avail nothing of concrete good.
Why does the Creator allow this or that and why are people who defy the Creator and Creation’s laws punished? These are interesting questions some may from time to time ponder, but the answer is inscrutable. Those who obsess over them have little time to seek true and practical knowledge that tends toward wellness and happiness.
Understanding the way of Creation is not easy, it is as if it wasn’t meant to be this way, which may lead one to ask why this is. Why didn’t the Creator make these things more clear, why even are the ancient sacred Scriptures so demanding of spiritual and mental maturity and disciplined study and why are these things so easily misunderstood and misrepresented?
Again, this is an interesting and entertaining exploration, but if it prevents a person from actually exploring the way things are in order to utilize that wisdom for practical ends, then this question will have to become of minor importance.
All the questions of “why did the Creator do or not do thus and so” have their place, but they lack depth and substance if the desire is to thrive both in this world and the world to come. The focus on non-essentials which replace essential and practical questions of human action and interaction is par for the course of a dying civilization and a moribund culture.
Advanced civilization succeeds largely to the degree it answers “what are the laws of Creation and how can we use them” as opposed to “how dare the Creator make such laws!” The progenitors of the new civilization begin to rebel against and disavow the sociocultural norms of the old, which have devolved to questions that do not profit the individual and which cannot be answered by mortals. The heroes of advancement and renewal tend to focus on the actual laws of nature and of nature’s God and how best to profit from this in this life and the next.
The old devolves and calls it progress, the new seems to look backwards but advances to new heights never known by humanity until now. This remains a humor of history.
There are real reasons to be circumspect and careful during these interesting times of historical transfiguration, but for those who first see and embrace the ways of the new civilization, there is no real need to fear or feel doom and foreboding. The old civilization and its structures will present real challenges and troubles, but their entire basis defies the laws of Creation, therefore they will eventually falter and fail. The new civilization has its basis in the laws of Creation and as its alternative structures emerge they will become more and more impervious to the attentions of the old and corrupted structures.
A new civilization is upon us and within some of us, those with an advanced wisdom and purity of heart who alone during such times can see past the endless and troubling noise of a dying and depraved culture and its illogical and barbaric propaganda. In our lives and on our lands, among our people and alternative structures and communities, the blessings and prosperity which accompany advanced civilizations will be felt and experienced regardless of what the surrounding society experiences.
A Upo Shirehold is envisioned as a mutual benefit community with standards and priorities that are based on an agreed-upon understanding of how to use the The 17 Protocols of Upadaria to promote mutual self-reliance, to provide mutual assurance in times of need, and to fulfill certain shared goals and purposes, especially to reach the lost, help the needy, and provide aid to Christian and other refugees and asylum seekers.
A Upo Shirehold would consist of multiple nuclear families and connected single adults who voluntarily identify as Peers of a spiritual nation whose God is the Lord. They also include all the people connected to these peers, including staff or workers who live in their households, people they may rent to, and people they host as guests who may be Christians in crisis or refugees.
Basically, a Upo Shirehold is an intentional community, even if it is distributed and its members don’t all live in the same location but merely near one another, that seeks mutual self-reliance based on shared ideals, principles, and practices and that has a heart for the lost, the needy, the unity of the Ecclesia of the Elect as a spiritual city-state, and Christian and other refugees.
We firmly believe that our breakthrough concept of spiritual nationhood provides the absolutely essential and necessary organic cohesiveness that alone can make close-knit collaborative relationships possible without recourse to top-down hierarchical systems of command and control. By making the ideals, principles, practices, mandates, and standards and norms which define this form of spiritual nationhood so transparent in an explicitly clear manner, we allow for purely voluntary freewill participation without any form of manipulation or coercion that violates the spiritual sovereignty of any person.
Anyone, anywhere, of any race or ethnicity, ancestry, citizenship, gender, or Christian denomination, regardless of any other status, including immigration status, can choose to adopt our nationality as their own and become an equal peer in our spiritual nation. This entire process of becoming a Peer of Upadaria is voluntary and, while one may take the Pledge with other Peers as a witness who affirm them in this, it is strictly and ONLY between the individual and YHWH. Becoming a Peer of Upadaria does not come with any demands from other human authorities, it has no cost, and it doesn’t require you to “join” any group or organization.
It is important to understand that anyone can become a Upadarian by learning and pledging before God alone to utilize our 17 Protocols in order to fulfill God’s scroll of destiny and purpose (wyrd) for their lives with excellence. How you do this, in what order, and in what priority, is up to you and any body of people who form on the basis of these 17 Protocols.
A Upo Shirehold, a word that combines “Shire” and “household”, is governed solely by Peers of Upadaria, but not all Peers will have the means or feel led at any given time to be part of a Shirehold. Another way to put this is, only Peers of Upadaria can form a Upo Shirehold, but not all Peers will be part of a Shirehold at any given time.
A Upo Shirehold is, however, one of the most significant innovations of our spiritual nation, being part of a community of multi-family extended households defined by shared values and ideals is a key aspect of our chosen way of life.
In an ideal scenario, most Upo Shireholds will have an Estate or Villa/Castle with individual residences for most members as well as residences for refugees and residences which are leased to the public on the basis of fair and housing laws (we will never discriminate in housing for any reason). But we expect that for the first few years or more most Shireholds will tend to be more like distributed intentional communities, even if one or more of their constituent extended household groups (Kinship Groups) has a small Estate or Villa for around 3-5 nuclear families, a few single adults, and some other residences for refugees and/or to be leased to the public.
A Shirehold community doesn’t have to have a single Estate or Grand Villa, or even multiple smaller Estates and Villas which most people have a residence within, in order to function as an intentional community that features mutual benefit, mutual assurance, and shared purposes and goals.
What makes a Shirehold a Shirehold is that its governing members, people with agency to make decisions, have a shared identity and purpose, mutually support one another, and pursue shared goals and purposes, all for the glory of God and the praise of His Name.
A Shirehold community has three core constituent parts: each Peer as a spiritually sovereign person, nuclear families based on a man and woman raising their own biological or adopted children as the ideal, and multi-family extended households of around 15 or so adults which include both nuclear families and the single adults connected to them.
A word on our concept of family is needed. We have definite convictions about what constitutes a Upadarian family. We believe that, while our concepts are not the same as Christian doctrine and are not incumbent upon all Christians, they are part of God’s purpose and destiny (wyrd) for our nation as a spiritual people whose God is the Lord. Everyone who knows they are called by God to become a Peer of our nation shares this conviction, even if, due to practical considerations, they cannot presently actualize this conviction.
It is also important to note that we recognize the human rights of all persons to define love and family as they see fit, it is between them and God, and despite our strong beliefs, we are FOR our way of life, not AGAINST anyone else’s way of life. While our own freewill participatory association is exclusive to people who choose the Upadarian way of life, including how we define things like marriage and family, in our relationships with others we practice no discrimination or differentiation and only see other people as equally spiritually sovereign beings made in God’s image.
A Upo Shirehold may have only Peers as its governance team and only include Peers as formal stakeholders, but it would not exclude or refuse to serve anyone on any basis other than that which is legally required. For instance, for businesses that a Shirehold may own that serve the public, absolute commitment to tolerance and non-discrimination would prevail, especially for housing.
The exclusivity of a Upo Shirehold is the same as for a single nuclear family because to us a Shirehold is the core family unit of our society. The same way an individual nuclear family controls who is part of it, so too a Shirehold. In our convictions about family, a Shirehold is quite literally the same kind of thing a nuclear family is.
As a Christian “nation”, defined on purely spiritual grounds through shared ideals, Upadaria has a distinct way of life. But within the broader society, which we desire to see become a free and pluralistic society of equals, we do not pursue exclusion from others of different nationalities or of different lifestyle convictions.
A Upo Shirehold could only be governed by Peers of Upadaria but it will almost certainly include and/or serve people of diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and convictions equally, fairly, and justly, without discrimination or prejudice on any basis. The relationship of non-peers to a Shirehold may be that of a customer to a provider, within the perfect democracy of a free market, or that of someone being ministered to by a ministry, but it will be a reciprocal relationship and a responsive relationship that engenders a free and pluralistic association of equally sovereign human beings.
We have to balance our own right of free association with people of the same spiritual and sociocultural essence with the larger need for a free and pluralistic society of equals that protects the human rights and human dignity of every person and that promotes human flourishing. We do not desire or embrace exclusionary communities that are isolated from the greater society, we seek to not be of this world (by not necessarily adopting it definitions and standards) while remaining connected to it; to be in this world and not of this world.
Upadarians are Christians who have distinct and purely voluntary convictions as well as shared purposes and goals. Only people of that calling and conviction can become Peers of our spiritual nation, but this by no means implies in any way that we would accept or allow discrimination against others who aren’t Upadarians or Christians on any basis whatsoever.
To limit our governing agency to persons of the same spiritual nationhood is perfectly just and right, and even essential to human dignity, human rights, and human flourishing. A society of diverse nationhoods based on freewill participation is a free and just society that benefits everyone equally and respects their individual and shared agency.
It is our unshakable conviction that spiritual nationhood is essential to forming purely voluntary free associations with a high degree of organic cohesiveness and without recourse to top-down hierarchical systems of command and control. Forming familial communities on this basis is perfectly within our God-given rights to freewill participation and free association in general.
The desire to not only alter historic orthodoxy regarding family and marriage for yourself, which is your right, but to somehow curtail others in forming bonds and associations that nurture the kind of family and marriage endorsed by historical orthodoxy is out of bounds. You have no right to interfere in our freewill participatory associations so long as everything we do in the public arena is based on respect for your human rights, human dignity, and human flourishing.
This covers, more or less, what a Upo Shirehold is.
The question is, how does one build a Shirehold community if this is what you desire?
As of August 2021, no Shirehold community exists. How we can form one is open to a process of experimentation and trial and error. Eventually we will be able to show examples others can follow.
It will be tempting to make a Shirehold on a broader basis. Such efforts would not be Upo Shireholds and, we believe, they would not be likely to succeed without a formal and hierarchical structure to keep everyone going on the same direction at all times. As we present this idea, we find already some who think we should form household groups and household communities based on much broader standards than the specific convictions of a specific spiritual nation. Some think everyone who embraces the Bill of Rights could form a Shirehold-like community. Some feel that everyone who is a Christian could form such a community on the basis of Kingdom essentials, like core Christian doctrinal and ethnical orthodoxy.
Our conviction is that something like a Shirehold community must be based on specific convictions that go beyond the Bill of Rights or beyond the universal orthodoxy of the historic Christian faith. There are many forms and types of freewill participatory associations that can be forged between people on a broader basis, like the Bill of Rights or historic Christianity. But the close-knit mutuality required of our concept of a Shirehold demands a much closer similarity in convictions about how to live and act in daily life.
Unless people organically, that is, from the heart, start from the same core ideals and etc. which are clearly defined in advance, the only way to keep them all together is through command and control methods. As we truly desire a familial community of equals whose only “bond” is strictly, voluntary, freewill participation, the only path we see is through our intentional shared national identity based on explicitly defined ideals, principles, practices, and mandates coming from shared beliefs, values, and convictions.
As noted, there are many other forms and levels of freewill participation that we can engage in with other people on a broader basis, but our basic familial unit, a community of around 120 adults related through an intentional nationality as their shared identity, is not a loose-knit collaborative association. It is kinship of the most intimate variety outside your own spouse and children. To be even more clear: we believe such an extended familial community of people who all care for one another as spiritual kin must have a high degree of organic cohesiveness in order to avoid top-down systems of command and control. What is more, it is our conviction that such familial communities of people are the core constituent entity and fractal of human civilization itself. For us, to repeat, a Shirehold governed mutually by fellow Peers of our spiritual nation is the core family unit.
The genesis of a Upo Shirehold is a body of people who are all Peers of Upadaria all gathering together for mutual benefit and to ascribe shared goals and purposes, as defined by the 17 Protocols of Upadaria. Therefore, it seems necessary that broadcasting a call to people to adopt these 17 Protocols in order to fulfill God’s best for their lives with excellence is a necessary precursor.
Essentially, you have to find the people whom God has called out to become peers of our spiritual nation. To do that, you have to broadcast the vision somehow, whether by giving people a link to our website or sharing the 17 Protocols, or something like that. You may, however, start more indirectly, without in any way being opaque in your intentions, by focusing on ways people can be more free or the need for mutual support, whereby you introduce the concepts more broadly than more specifically.
In some cases, perhaps many, we will see people connecting by means of the Upadaria Platform who live near each other. Some may emerge as an individual invites local friends and family to join the platform and those friends and family who adopt our spiritual nationality get together locally to begin building a Shirehold community.
The first step is basically to let others know about the vision of a new spiritual nation. This can be done by inviting them to the website, which is being set up now. The website will have a simple presentation which gives the visitor all the information they need to decide if this vision fits and enhances their own calling and purpose.
As the individual learns and decides that being part of our spiritual nation fits God’s purpose for their lives, then any small group of such people can begin to gather in person to explore the methods and means of forming a Round Table Group that has as its mission to eventually have a fully developed local Shirehold community. This starts on the simple basis of agreeing to practice mutual assurance and mutual support for self-reliance and to utilize the 17 Protocols as the guideline for your efforts.
These efforts may be guided by common standards and norms, so that any group building their own Upo Shirehold will be similar in spirit to all other groups, but they are also autonomous and not centrally controlled. Aside from licensing requirements to use our brand, a nominal $10 fee and licensing agreement, the effort is not controlled by anyone outside the group involved. In terms of priorities and order or sequence of activities, and their specific way things are done, the local group is in the driver’s seat.
Local Shirehold groups can opt to use our platform as their digital hub, if all members are subscribers to the platform, but they do not have to do so in order to autonomously build their own Upo Shirehold. Everything you need to know about Shireholds will be made available online for free and/or through some premium content that is reasonably priced. Our goal is to impart and equip but for local groups to build autonomously. We aim to ensure that nobody who desires to utilize the Upo model for building a Shirehold community is left behind on the basis of money.
What we call “The 17 Protocols of Upadaria” is a roadmap you can use to individually and in concert with others build freedom and prosperity in your life and family on a strong foundation of faith in Yeshua, our King, and in service of advancing His Kingdom among ourselves and the world around us.
A protocol in diplomatic terms is something agreed to as in the terms of a treaty. Individuals who pledge to God alone to work toward the fulfillment of these Protocols, inasmuch as God provides the means and guidance, are Peers of our spiritual nation.
These are aspirational goals we agree, before God who also provides for and leads us in this effort, to seek to fulfill. By agreeing to these Protocols you are not saying you will follow them like rules, you are saying you desire to see them fulfilled and, as God leads and provides, you will do what you can to use them in your life, to help others use them, and to use them in anything you agree to do with other people. When groups of people come together on the basis of our shared spiritual nationhood they utilize these Protocols as a sort of guide and roadmap for how they will conduct themselves and what things they will do.
These “Protocols” are well-researched and Biblically sound ideas and methods, they explain good standards and noble goals which can improve your ability to thrive and prosper no matter what is happening in the greater society around you, but without losing your presence, witness, and influence within that society.
When you look at a protocol, consider that, whatever its ultimate proposed goals, it begins with things that start in your own thinking and decisions. As you internalize its deeper foundation of truth and yet also envision what it would be like if it was fulfilled for your life and community, you begin a process of liberation and renwal from within your own heart and relationships.
All these truths are in the Bible, what we are doing is making them plain, organizing them, and showing a concrete and modern application of them which you can put to work in your own life.
The aim is never to be legalistic, these are aspirational aims after all, not rules or standards for being “right with God” as such.
But they are important and, generally, there is an expectation that people who pledge their freewill participation to be part of our nation are devoted to the utilization of these protocols in pursuit of their own fulfillment of God’s best for their lives and our spiritual nation as a whole, but through the power of Christ and the Holy Spirit and the blessings and favor of God, not by human might.
You will notice that we start with the big picture at the global and universal scale and then drill down to the individual from there. It is important to understand that we need the big picture vision to always be before us, calling us and unifying us, even though the organic emergence of that vision is an inner conviction shared and followed from individual to individual and group to group: no two people or groups of people will follow a cookie-cutter mold in how they will use these protocols.
While we are convinced the basic blueprint as laid out here will remain unchanged, we are also convinced that the ultimate realization of this vision and its corresponding structures will have many surprises and innovations that we could not see.
Indeed, not everyone, everywhere, who pursues and actualizes this vision together with other people will follow the exact same pattern or methodology, but all will have the same spiritual blueprint or DNA. In fact, if anyone who follows these protocols encounters a community of people anywhere based on them, then those people will easily fit in and feel at home.
The way the 17 Protocols work in practice and they way they are understood is different,
To understand them, we start at the highest level on the largest scale, covering the universal and global, and then we narrow the focus down to the individual simply learning and fulfilling their individual scroll of destiny and purpose for their own individual life.
To practice them begins with an overall understanding, which includes all aspects at every level and scale, but once this is obtained, it starts with our inner self, at the level of understanding the seeking to carry out our scroll of destiny and purpose.
Basically, we understand the 17 Protocols from the highest to the smallest scale but we pursue them from the lowest to the highest scale. We present them in the order in which they must be understood, but the order in which they must be practices begins at the end and works backwards.
What is more, this is like layers upon layers, each time we go deeper in understanding it begins with the broadest scale of understanding that leads to going back to the lowest scale of practice and on to the highest scale, and over and over as we develop and grow “from glory to glory.”
This concept applies more broadly than the 17 Protocols, and even the concept of intentionally spelling out the protocols of your life and your shared existence with others should follow this pattern of understanding from the larger to the smaller and practicing from the smaller to the larger.
Kingdom Nationhood
WE ARE REGENTS OF YESHUA, THE CHRIST AND CITIZENS OF HIS KINGDOM
Fulfilling our Regency as Kings, Priests, and joint-Heirs with Yeshua in His Kingdom is something we seek daily through practicing fellowship with all Believers where we live, work, and worship. We exercise our spiritual sovereignty and fulfill God’s best for our lives with excellence.
“Kingdom thinking” affects how we relate and connect to fellow Believers and as we are deliberate about being in relationship with them, through our faith in Yeshua, true unity organically emerges.
From this a sense of community among believers in any given location emerges and so then does the power of ecclesia, the whole community of all Believers acting as one, like a spiritual city-state of the elect, thus fulfilling the promise that the very gates of hell cannot prevail against the ecclesia!
The New Civilization
A NEW CIVILIZATION OF BELIEVERS EMERGES AS OLD CIVILIZATIONS FALTER
Understanding times and seasons and cycles and patterns allows us to see that we are living in a time of visitation. The existing paradigms have resulted in a centralized corpostate that politicizes all aspects of society, such as a church system and culture that is limited by religion and Western practices. These will be lawfully and peacefully transcended over time as the new civilization emerges.
As individuals we begin to understand what is happening around is and how it fits within the patterns and cycles of human civilization. This knowledge equips is to make sound decisions and to foresee probable future outcomes and events.
As groups of people connect with this deeper understanding guiding them, they can navigate possibilities, probabilities, dangers, and outcomes more successfully than all the people around them.
The Spiritual Nation
WE ARE A SPIRITUAL NATION OF PEOPLE WHOSE GOD IS THE LORD
God ordains the nations and calls them into being. His Word establishes the boundaries of their habitation and time of their existence. We believe God has called and ordained us to be Peers of a new spiritual nation, defined by spiritual sovereignty, whose God is the Lord.
As individuals we see how we are not alone, we are connected to the spiritual nation of ALL fellow Believers and we can CHOOSE our own spiritual nationhood with others.
Realizing you are part of something larger, something God has ordained from the beginning to guide humanity into a form of connectedness that isn’t hateful or divisive, gives you both purpose and a feeling of mutual support without separating you from others in a way that God did not intend.
Living Nationhood
NATIONHOOD IS A PATH TO FULFILL GOD’S RIGHTEOUS STANDARDS THROUGH IDEALS, PRINCIPLES, PRACTICES, AND MANDATES
As kingdom essentials are honored and practiced personally, relationally, and professionally, righteousness will exalt our nation.
Spiritual nationhood isn’t race or political citizenship, it is a form of shared identity and purpose that provides a level or organic cohesiveness whereby you can easily connect to other people you don’t personally know but that you are safe to trust.
Living out nationhood begins as you personally apply the shared ideals, principles, practices, and mandates that define your nationhood to your own decisions and to the way you interact with and relate to other people. It begins within you but extends into relationships, associations, and trust communities with others, all founded upon freewill participation, and never manipulation or coercion.
Living Regency
WE EXERCISE OUR INDIVIDUAL AND CORPORATE REGENCY TO PROVIDE A REFUGE TO OURSELVES AND OTHERS
As Believers, by practicing individual and corporate Regency through the framework of our spiritual nation, we serve as Kings and Priests who sovereignly steward all God has entrusted through a network of trust communities called Shires.
If you begin to truly SEE and FEEL yourself to be a “regent” of Christ, your relationships and your life will change. You didn’t earn this, it is through grace, but you get to use this to define yourself in God’s terms, not being defined or limited by others.
When people connect and collaborate who all feel and see themselves as regents of Christ, they will tend toward mutual self-reliance that is always beneficial to all and that balances individual autonomy with the common good, and all without some uber-hierarchy dictating to them.
A Trust Community
WE PRACTICE THE WAYS OF A TRUST COMMUNITY CENTERED ON YESHUA, THE CHRIST
Through building intentional community, Believers can connect with others for mutual profit, support, empowerment, liberation, and fulfillment of individual and shared purpose.
Within ourselves we use this protocol to purposefully decide who is within our circle of trust and on what terms, we learn and use boundaries in a Biblical manner to both keep our own freedom intact and to nurture freedom in others.
As trust communities emerge, especially based on faith and then a form of organic cohesiveness like nationhood, you begin to be surrounded and protected by a sort or maternal enclosure and “getting you” requires going through your protective community that surrounds you.
The Shirehold
WE INTENTIONALLY PRACTICE EXTENDED KINSHIP
People are not made to be isolated and separated. Life in the Kingdom is not just about what we do individually, but how we live with others. Our lifestyle is an expression of agape love in family, community, and collaboration. A Shirehold is an intentional multifamily extended household community in close geographical proximity.
Shirehold is both what we call a very local chapter community and a concept and way of life where we, as individuals, decide to be intentional about how we treat our own biological families and how we determine who we will be in close proximity with in terms of mutual support. We can both love and support our biological families, as much as possible, and build intentional familial connections with people whose beliefs, values, and conviction more closely approximate our own.
The practicing of Shirehold almost requires either blood kinship or deeply held and shared beliefs, values, and convictions, usually, and Biblically, expressed in the form of a share spiritual nationality that isn’t just based on common ancestry.
This is organic cohesiveness and without it any effort to create and practice Shirehold, restoring the ancient extended kinship group in modern times, could become a top-down, controlling affair that inhibits your individual spiritual sovereignty. But if Shirehold is practices using organic cohesiveness it will nurture and enhance your individual spiritual sovereignty,
The Kinship Mandate
WE IMPART THE PRACTICES AND VIRTUE OF KINSHIP
We form small, extended familial groups and practice mutual care and support with our relatives, fellow Upadarians, and fellow Believers according to a Biblical blueprint. We refer to these as Kinship Groups wherein we view the success and well-being of those we are connected to as equally important as our own.
Kinship is something we share as individuals with blood kin, with fellow Believers, with people in our country (fellow citizens), and with people who share or form or forms of nationhood, whether they be our ancestral nationhood or intentional nationhood, like Upadaria.
Kinship is a form of mutual support and shared identity that all participants choose and that comes with mutual obligations, commitments, and standards and norms which all agree to adhere to faithfully. While some will recoil at the kinship mandate thinking they are solo grandees in need of nobody else, as human none of us would survive for long in our earliest years without the embrace of some form of kinship: otherwise, others would not have even fed us!
When kinship is understood and intentionally practiced by groups of people it becomes a powerful means for navigating the uncertainties and dangers of life and a special way to build our own futures so that we can fulfill God’s best for our lives with excellence.
The Missionary Mandate
WE PURSUE MISSIONAL LIVES AND SUPPORT WORLD MISSIONS
We embrace a holistic approach as witnesses in word, deed, and influence. We seek to live as examples of the gospel, support those carrying the gospel, and distribute the benefits of the gospel to the oppressed.
As individuals, we become ever more aware of the lost and needy around us and through the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit we actively seek to be a witness and influence for Yeshua. Having a heart for the lost and needy is what Yeshua was all about and part of the transfiguration of the Holy Spirit is to give us the same heart, which, if we do not sense it now, we seek with diligence and prayer.
Every group of people who connects on some basis of extending the witness and influence of the Kingdom should be intentional about how it serves the lost and needy in order to give glory to God and draw people to Him.
The Refuge Mandate
WE PROVIDE REFUGE FOR OURSELVES AND OTHERS
We provide refuge in emergency and crisis situations by offering security, safety, and medical supplies and services for ourselves and those we grant refuge to, especially fellow Christians. Everyone who flies our flag is committed to providing refuge to people in need and aiding refugees by connecting them with local resources.
As individuals, we intentionally seek to ensure we have our needs supplied through our own hard work and our emergency needs supplied through preparedness and frugality. We must learn to be a refuge to ourselves and then to others, because a dry well cannot provide water to others.
Beyond our own refuge, which we can also pursue in cooperation with others by means of freewill participation, we desire to help people in crisis, in particular Christian and other refugees, who need sanctuary. We do this mostly to serve but also knowing the very safe havens, as in actual facilities and communities, we build to help others may serve us as well.
Heavenly Blueprints
WE BUILD STRUCTURES AND PHYSICIAL SPACES THAT REFLECT HEAVEN’S BLUEPRINTS
The very design of our spaces and structures where we live, work, or gather facilitate healthy, living, and prosperous relationships and associations which occur within them.
Changing the very STRUCTURES, as in the physical space around ourselves, to match our convictions and goals is something few give conscious thought to. As individuals, we may live in a “traditional” house, per our culture, but we can often rearrange the space in ways that match our needs and convictions.
Beyond individuals changing their physical space to reflect and nurture their convictions, groups of people can work together to build alternative spaces and domiciles that nurture the kinds of things they wish to pursue. Our desire to is to be quite deliberate and intentional about our space, including appearance, functionality, arrangement, design, and architecture.
Fulfilling The Revolution Within
WE GROW IN WISDOM TO FULFILL GOD’S BEST FOR OUR LIVES
The Revolution Within is inspired by a commitment to learn “line upon line” and “precept upon precept.” Maturation involves moving beyond milk to meat to actualize our purposes and bolster the Kingdom.
As individuals, we understand that any ideology or “revolution” that cannot offer benefits on the basis of individual practice alone is perfectly useless, perhaps even dangerous. God has much more for us than what the world or even we ourselves offer. We take personal responsibility for our lives and purpose, to find and fulfill God’s best for our lives with excellence, we make this a higher ethical standard.
As groups of people pursue this together, through Round Table Groups, using participatory and immersive learning, even role-playing and imagination, the horizon of opportunities and possibilities for each person grows massively.
The Marriage Covenant
WE ARE DEVOTED TO BOTH THE UNIVERSAL MARRIAGE TO YESHUA, THE CHRIST AND OUR MARRIAGES
We believe that the purpose of marriage is to reflect the relationship of Yeshua, the Christ to His Beloved and to be the means by which a man and woman reflect the divine model of love in covenant.
We are each married to Christ, both as individuals and as members of the Body of Christ, and this relationship is essential to understanding the relationship between a man and a woman, who alone embody this fractal of the larger marriage between Christ and the Body of Christ.
Aside from those few who were meant to be celibate as unto the Lord, we are all made more whole and achieve our potential through the marriage covenant, and we know of no other save one man and one woman who are not close blood kin and who remain together for life. Nurturing our marriages is essential to developing our potential as human beings.
Family Honor
WE ARE COMMITTED AND CONNECTED TO OUR NUCLEAR FAMILY, RELATIVES, INTENTIONAL KIN, AND FELLOW BELIEVERS
The people in our circle of closest relationships, from relatives to those we choose to adopt into our family, should be honored and cared for as God gives us the means and opportunity to. This honor begins with our nuclear family and continues to our close relatives and others in our inner circle of relationships.
The nuclear family and our immediate circle of familial relations, including dear friends and fellow Believers, is the building block of society. To intentionally honor our familial relations, however we define them, is a necessary part of our own individual development and growth,
Without family we are atomized individuals, easy prey to everything and everyone that might threaten our individual spiritual sovereignty, and we cannot experience life as God intends it. Family is part of God’s blueprint for humanity and is a necessity.
The Duty To Progeny
WE NURTURE OUR PROGENY AND BUILD FOR THEIR FUTURE
We have a sacred duty to build up and nurture our spiritual and physical descendants and leave them a birthright of value and worth. We impart our beliefs, values, and convictions so they may find God if they seek him. We build structures that will benefit future generations for centuries to come.
The ideal of an advanced human civilization predicated on God’s standards of righteousness and justice, is for children to be raised by their own biological parents in a loving home or for orphaned or abandoned children to be adopted into such a home.
Raising your progeny in a loving home with your spouse and giving them a patrimony, as much as you are able, while imparting your faith and values as well as good life skills, is an essential element of your individual scroll of destiny and purpose. Building supportive associations and networks, including clustered housing communities if need be, that support people in this is also essential to the advancement of human civilization.
Our Gideon’s Call
WE PROCLAIM OUR VISION FOR A SPIRITUAL NATION TO THOSE WHO WOULD ANSWER THE CALL
In the Book of Judges, Gideon called and over 30,000 answered. God chose only 300 to take the first step toward liberating Israel from the Midianites before the rest of the nation rejoined them. Likewise, we broadcast the call and offer the resources needed to be a Peer of our spiritual nation. The call to Peerage is between God and the individual alone.
As individuals we can and should share our call to nationhood, albeit always without any form of “selling” or “recruiting” and with the intent of letting God sort the called from the not called. We should never feel pressured, nor give pressure to others, to adopt the Upadarian nationality or even our faith in Christ, from other human beings.
As people hear our call and respond and as groups emerge the nature of this call must always be an un-pressured opportunity to engage in freewill participation as led and empowered by God.
Fulfilling Our Scroll
WE STRIVE TO FULFILL GOD’S BEST FOR OUR LIVES WITH EXCELLENCE
The scroll of our life is a gift from God reflecting our unique identities in Yeshua, the Christ. Each scroll was written non-linearly before natural birth. It is the guiding “wyrd” we are invited to daily align our willful intents with. In accordance with our scroll, we aim to empower ourselves and others through intimacy with God.
We understand that our individual scrolls of destiny and purpose, our wyrd, also include shared scrolls with people God connects us to, whether for a season or for life (as with your spouse). Too often destiny is mystified and individualized in ways that render the concept too ephemeral and impractical.
As groups of people emerge who are determined to fulfill their wyrd, and who may have a shared wyrd, the nature of their relationship, associations, standards, and norms must be such that each person is freed to fulfill their own destiny and doesn’t have to subordinate that destiny to “the group”, even if aspects of that destiny are shared with others.
Protocol One: Kingdom Nationhood
WE ARE REGENTS OF YESHUA, THE CHRIST AND CITIZENS OF HIS KINGDOM
Fulfilling our Regency as Kings, Priests, and joint-Heirs with Yeshua in His Kingdom is something we seek daily through practicing fellowship with all Believers where we live, work, and worship. We exercise our spiritual sovereignty and fulfill God’s best for our lives with excellence.
Yeshua is sovereign. We say, “Amra Yshua ta Pisches es Hundura-Rikith”, The Lord of Light and Love, Yeshua the Messiah, is all-powerfully sovereign.”
We are Rege’, our sovereignty is derived it is as a regent awaiting a king, but to their peers they are as the king. (Our word for human kings or queens is “Reyki.”)
This is what we walk in. And so we proclaim and live this: The “Kingdom Age of the Elect” among Believers has come. It is not the kuriakos era of “churchianity.” The universal commonwealth of the Elect is no longer just a mostly religious society, nor was it ever meant to be.
The Kingdom of God is the spiritual commonwealth of the Elect and transcends church structures as we know them. Among us, citizens of the Kingdom, governance comes through the Ecclesia as the governing assembly for a spiritual city-state of the Elect.
This is our regency, our spiritual sovereignty. It begins with us as individuals and extends to our freewill covenant association and our consensual communities.
When truly adhered to, Ecclesia as a practice, not merely a structure, takes on a holistic form and mission much like a local spiritual city-state of the Elect and a globally dispersed “eternal nation.” We affirm that spiritual Israel is our universal nation, our Holy Commonwealth.
Our spiritual nation which is called “Upadaria” is a part of that Commonwealth of the whole Elect.
There is one eternal Nation of People manifesting the Kingdom of God among us, as citizens together of that Kingdom, a Kingdom in which we are all “kings and priests unto the Lord”, of which our unique and distinct spiritual nation is a part.
We are committed to living up to those most noble roles, to be regents of the King.
Protocol Two: The New Civilization
A NEW CIVILIZATION OF BELIEVERS EMERGES AS OLD CIVILIZATIONS FALTER
Understanding times and seasons and cycles and patterns allows us to see that we are living in a time of visitation. The existing paradigms have resulted in a centralized corpostate that politicizes all aspects of society, such as a church system and culture that is limited by religion and Western practices. These will be lawfully and peacefully transcended over time as the new civilization emerges.
We proclaim the emergence of a new civilization based on the four core ideals which include a Biblical understanding and a balanced application of Unity in diversity, Popular sovereignty, Democratic equality, and Rule of law. We apply a Biblical understanding of these ideals in balance with one another as the basis of our nation and of a Christian civilization.
We will be a people-centered nation of people, not a political state where politics rules all and only a few rule politics (politocracy). This new civilization based on such nations as follow these ideals will emerge as old civilizations which have run their course die in a convulsion of Caesarism and godless hubris (the politocracy).
These will suffer under the laws of causality for their decadence even as God protects nations of people whose God is the Lord. This nation will be the vanguard of the new civilization, should the Lord tarry, as many nations of people make the Lord their God in fulfillment of the promise that Abraham would be the father of MANY nations
Protocol Three: The Spiritual Nation WE ARE A SPIRITUAL NATION OF PEOPLE WHOSE GOD IS THE LORD
We proclaim ourselves to be a spiritual nation of people whose God is the Lord. We proclaim that this nation is born as we bear its seed from God. We come together solely through freewill participation as we beleive God has called and led us.
As God has ordained nations, described in Acts 17:26-27, so we believe God has ordained our nation for to dwell upon this earth, establishing the time of our existence and the boundaries of our habitation, so that people may find God is haply they seek Him.
We proclaim that it has been named by God as “Upadaria” (you-pah-daria) through a series of prophetic encounters which revealed the form, structural blueprint, and mandates of this nation. These mandates are Kinship, Missions, and Refuge.
We affirm that this nation is among the vanguard nations which we foresee will promote the Kingdom Age of The Elect and the New Civilization. We further proclaim our intention to be a globally dispersed nation served by an international missionary and Christian refugee society consisting of many local community chapters (consensual Christian missionary and refugee communities) that will provide shelter and sanctuary for Believers during times of crisis.
We declare and ordain, as from the hand of God, and by His provision and favor, that our nation and its people will respect and adhere to the idea that ours is a nation wherein the People rule by the wisdom of God for the prosperity of all and the Glory of the Name of God.
Protocol Four: Living Nationhood
NATIONHOOD IS A PATH TO FULFILL GOD’S RIGHTEOUS STANDARDS THROUGH IDEALS, PRINCIPLES, PRACTICES, AND MANDATES
As sacred Kingdom essentials are honored and practiced personally, relationally, and professionally, righteousness will exalt our nation.
We will individually follow and use the Ideals, Principles, and Practices of Upadaria in our ceaseless and daily pursuit of God’s best for our life, which we will pursue together with excellence.
The Ideals are a BIBLICAL and balanced application of Unity in diversity, Popular sovereignty, Democratic equality, and Rule of law and these guide our common standards for relationships, associations, partnerships, governance, and government in general.
Our principles includes our social vision (cooperation, sustainability, consensus), social ethic (well-being, justice, autonomy), freedom vision (virtue, liberty, and independence), and Prosperity Vision (investment, land, ownership, protection).
The Practices include the practices of Ecclesia as a spiritual city-state both with the whole Body of Christ and among our Peers in our own Regencies, Ethne as a form of spiritual nationhood in Christ, Oikos as a form of extended multi-family households of faith, and Koinonia as a form of freewill covenant association for consensual community based on God’s righteous standards.
We will work to practice a way of life that would lend itself to covenant-based and intentional missionary and refuge communities within a globally distributed nation that transcends bigotry, racism, elitism, intolerance, hatred, and anti-Christian bias. We will do this through the means of a fraternal Christian society.
Even if we are alone, we will behave in a manner that reflect our commitment to the ideals, principles, and practices of our spiritual nation, to the best of ability and means and by the Grace of God, not through the strength of our own flesh.
By this new and intentional nationality, we believe that millions of people will escape their old racial and tribal hatreds, their denominational differences, and anti-Christian persecution as they choose to adopt this new nationality of their own free-will.
They will do this by following this Protocol and learning the new nation’s ideals, principle, and practices, They will eventually lean the nation’s language (as it is developed), thus becoming a new nation of people whose God is the Lord based solely on freewill covenant-based relationships in which Jesus Christ is the head.
These local freewill covenant associations of individuals within extended multi-family household groups will pursue all possible forms of self-reliance, self-determination, and local sustainability as well technological autonomy but for the Glory of God and the Praise of His Name.
Protocol Five: Living Regency
WE EXERCISE OUR INDIVIDUAL AND CORPORATE REGENCY TO PROVIDE A REFUGE TO OURSELVES AND OTHERS
As Believers, by practicing individual and corporate Regency through the framework of our spiritual nation, we serve as Kings and Priests who sovereignly steward all God has entrusted through a network of trust communities called Shires.
Working online and in person, we will strive to see the emergence, wherever possible, of regional distributed intentional covenant communities that support smaller communities (freewill covenant-based missionary and refugee communities).
These will empower and equip members to be self-reliant and self-sustaining for basic needs. They will model and be based upon the Biblical concept of Ecclesia as the governing assembly of the Elect over a spiritual city-state within the villages, towns, and neighborhoods served in that region.
They will assume territorial responsibility to serve the mandates of Kinship, Mission, and Refuge for members, the Body of Christ, and their physical community, which have a sacred pomerium of Divine Protection for all their members, and which are led through consensual decision-making by a Nobility of Merit.
Where we cannot formally gather and organize the systems and structures of these Regencies we will use whatever means we have to deliberately connect not only virtually and locally but regionally with fellow Peers wherever we find them.
As and when we can, each Regency will be served by a regional missionary and refugee support hub and various Embassies and Missions distributed throughout the region. In areas where there is no established Regency, new Shireholds will assume the role of a Pioneer Shirehold to deliberately stake out the whole area of territorial responsibility for the Regency and to build a spiritual government of Confirmed Peers who will plant new groups through a Gideon’s Call to establish Shireholds throughout the region.
The purpose and concept of our regency is to promote and facilitate kinship bonds among Peers of Upadaria and fellow Christians in general, to promote and facilitate missional living and missions work in the region, and to aid and support Christians refugees and Christians in crisis.
Protocol Six: A Trust Community
WE PRACTICE THE WAYS OF A TRUST COMMUNITY CENTERED ON YESHUA, THE CHRIST Through building intentional community, Believers can connect with others for mutual profit, support, empowerment, liberation, and purpose fulfillment.
We will work locally to establish distributed self-reliant and self-governing communities based on freewill participation called “Shires” or “Distributed Private Cities.”
A Shire is a an intentional, distributed private city based on freewill participation alone that will promote and aid in the development of the spiritual sovereignty of each Peer, fellow Christians, and freedom seekers, equipping them to be spiritually, mentally, and materially independent of negative external influences and control that aren’t in their own best interests.
This “shire” word hearkens to the original meaning of a Shire as a relatively self-contained community of freeholders who are capable of self-government and self-reliance but which is connected in an interdependent way with other communities within a single dominion.
These will be like a distributed autonomous (technologically speaking) city of people distributed here and there WITHIN AND AMONG the various communities and locales of the area or territorial responsibility. Through their material and technologically autonomous self-sustainability these distributed consensual communities will be an effective missionary presence, also empowering their participants to live missionaly, and they will be able to support and minister to Christians in need or crisis as internal or external refugees.
They will be self-governed by a consensual decision-making process of their stakeholders, peers of our nation in that area who back their area chapter community, and led in day to day affairs by acclaimed and affirmed leaders who earn “noble standing by merit” (Shires will generally be subdivided into multiple Bergs with multiple Manors, each with 3-5 Microshires and a special Manor called a Demesne, although different terms may be used.)
Protocol Seven: The Shirehold
WE INTENTIONALLY PRACTICE EXTENDED KINSHIP
People are not made to be isolated and separated. Life in the Kingdom is not just about what we do individually, but how we live with others. Our lifestyle is an expression of agape love in family, community, and collaboration. A Shirehold is an intentional multifamily extended household community in close geographical proximity.
We aim to restore a modern adaptation of the ancient multi-family household community through shared responsibilities and the practice of intentional kinship rooted in our shared faith and in the Biblical model of nationhood. For our model, we rely on the ancient extended household of multiple families, or “oikos” in Greek, However our version is adapted to this era and our technology.
Toward this end, we will seek to establish among ourselves, to the best of our ability, neighborhood missional, fraternal, and refugee fellowships and intentional distributed extended households called “Shireholds.” Groupings of Shireholds will form a larger distributed community called a Manor.
Each Shirehold will behave, as much as is possible, as if they are an extended family and each Manor will behave as a sort of distributed intentional community and extended kindred group within our globally distributed spiritual nation.
The Shireholds will be self-governing with day-to-day administration provided by their Patrons who serve the members and coordinate efforts for the common good and to achieve their shared fraternal, missionary, and refugee purpose.
The threefold purpose of a Shirehold is:
-to promote and nurture fatherhood and motherhood within a lifelong marital bond in order to ensure that our children are raised in a loving home by their own biological or adopted parents
-to support and nurture individuals in such a manner that they have assurance of help in crisis or time of need and can become fully empowered to find and fulfill God’s for their life with excellence, to make their calling their career, and to be an effective and powerful witness and influence for Jesus
-to serve our shared kinship, missionary, and Christian refugee supporting mandates as a salt and light witness and influence for Jesus
While Shireholds are based on the number of Peers and are restricted in size to no more than 30 or so Peers and their families (5-10 nuclear families and attached single adults, like unto an extended multi-family household or Oikos of the 1st century), Manors are to be arranged on the basis of a territory which they are responsible for in terms of our three mandates and being a salt and light witness and influence for Jesus.
A Microshire is a grouping of 5 or so Shireholds within a Manor which operates as a larger extended kinship group while the Manor consists of ALL Peers within its area of territorial responsibility and is a consensual community.
As with other forms of community among us, Manors, Microshires, and Shireholds are all given unique names, as opposed to be called the Upadarian Manor of such and such town.
The purpose of this is to demonstrate that our community is part of the greater Christian community and secular community but that our communities are autonomous spiritually, socially, and culturally as well as economically from the secular community. We wish to live IN this world and be actively engaged without being OF this world by coming under its influence or control through dependence.
Protocol Eight: The Kinship Mandate
WE IMPART THE PRACTICES AND VIRTUE OF KINSHIP
We form small, extended familial groups and practice mutual care and support with our relatives, fellow Upadarians, and fellow Believers according to a Biblical blueprint. We refer to these as Kinship Groups wherein we view the success and well-being of those we are connected to as equally important as our own.
We will always strive together as one body to provide mutual assurance, mutual self-reliance, and mutual independence and cooperation
By this means we can individually, and as a whole, become self-sustaining for our individual and shared sacred, social, civic, and economic needs in order to be equipped to serve as witnesses and salt and light for Jesus to the nations.
In this manner we can fulfill God’s best for our lives with excellence, make our callings our career, and be effective and powerful witnesses for Jesus Christ to the nations. Our spiritual kinship results in a form of mutual care that extends first to our families and to one another and then the whole Body of Christ and also our local community. Kinship is mutual and may be by blood or intentional, through freewill covenant association. Each participant in any kindred relationship agrees to mutuality in terms of accountability, support, shared purpose, assurance of help in time of need, advocacy for one another, and every means of aid and comfort necessary.
The ancient oikos of daily kinship bonds with the koinonia of mutual support must be intentionally restored among us, albeit in a modern adaptation suited to local needs and circumstances. Our basic kinship is this: each person pledges to each other mutually of aid and comfort and to see that the welfare and success of their Peers is equal in value to their own welfare and success. We will seek kinship with our blood kin, as much as possible, and introduce them to our convictions of kinship toward the end they might even become part of our nation, if first they make Jesus their Lord.
We will seek intentional kinship with fellow Christians solely on the basis of our shared faith and with people we know to also be Peers of Upadaria who we may encounter.
We believe that such kinship is ordained by God, that no Christ follower is meant to live this life alone and without comfort and support, and that through such kinship we might extend the presence and domain of the Kingdom of God among us.
Protocol Nine: The Missionary Mandate
WE PURSUE MISSIONAL LIVES AND SUPPORT WORLD MISSIONS
We embrace a holistic approach as witnesses in word, deed, and influence. We seek to live as examples of the gospel, support those carrying the gospel, and distribute the benefits of the gospel to the oppressed.
We will always seek to live out our shared commitment to be an evangelistic nation within and among the nations as a witness to the nations.
We will do this in order to make disciples (after the lost are converted) from the individual to the corporate level through direct proclamation of the Gospel, benevolence, and exampleship in word, deed, and power (going “first to the worst” at the point of need).
All of our work and effort as well as our message must continually point to and preach Christ, and Him crucified and risen, as well as the Cross and the eventual Return of Christ in Glory. We proclaim foremost the Kingdom of God has come and is among us now. To live a missional life is to be deliberate about our witness and example.
Protocol Ten: The Refuge Mandate
WE PROVIDE REFUGE FOR OURSELVES AND OTHERS
We provide refuge in emergency and crisis situations by offering security, safety, and medical supplies and services for ourselves and those we grant refuge to, especially fellow Christians. Everyone who flies our flag is committed to providing refuge to people in need and aiding refugees by connecting them with local resources.
We will always seek, as individuals and through our local chapter communities, to provide sanctuary, shelter, support, aid, comfort, and assistance to internal and external refugees, to Christians first but also to others on the basis of Christian love.
This will include services to support integration into the general community as well as, if they choose, our Society. We will establish Refugee Communities at points of need around the world and distributed hosting of refugees among local Society chapters.
All who come in aid and who are properly vetted will be aided to the best of our ability and according to our means, including Christians in recovery from life-controlling addictions or Christians in crisis who have lost their home or income and Christians fleeing terrible circumstances such as wars, famine, corrupt governments, persecution, and the such.
We will not discriminate or show favor on the basis of age, race, sex, ancestry, citizenship, or church affiliation. One way we will show our Refuge Mandate commitment is by preparing ourselves to help others and learning local resources to help the poor and needy and flying the Upadarian Flag to show that anyone seeking refuge can come to this place and seek help, even if that help is referring them to agencies or ministries in the area.
Protocol Eleven: Heavenly Blueprints
WE BUILD STRUCTURES AND PHYSICIAL SPACES THAT REFLECT HEAVEN’S BLUEPRINTS
The very design of our spaces and structures where we live, work, or gather facilitate healthy, living, and prosperous relationships and associations which occur within them.
We will develop both an online and a physical architecture and infrastructure to support our Christian way life of life and empower us to use our ideals, principles, and practices in pursuit of our Mandates as a nation. Whatever we can do to organize our virtual or physical space we will do and, if we have the means and knowledge, we will assist others in doing.
This includes a web 3.0 cryptonation platform but for the individual it includes being a witness, influence, and example online to their best of our ability in a manner that gives glory to God and is a credit to your fellow Peers. We will work on the development of various local facilities and structures to support members as well as our kinship, missionary, and refuge mandates.
In the physical this may include Chapter Houses, Common Houses, Mission Houses, Villas, Grand Villas, Community Chapels, Regal Villas, Palaces, Castles, Royal Castles, Villa Estates, Farmsteads, Homestead Estates, Refugee Communities, Regional and Global Missionary and Refugee Support Hubs, and Autonomous Village.
As individuals we may rearrange our own homes, as God provides the means, to act as a host Chapter House or Common House or to simply help people who may comes seeking aid and comfort when they see our Standard flying.
This is also meant to provide affordable housing for members who desire or need it, refugee housing, housing for staff, shared common use facilities, ministry and missionary facilities, market space, and even housing for the general public.
Our new architecture will focus on sustainability and using local, renewable resources, alternative building that is more cost-effective, and, as much as possible, volunteer work by members. Our aim is total technological autonomy.
Our structures will incorporate our ideals, principles, and practices through consensual decision-making process and a nobility of merit. New spaces meant to facilitate a multi-family household or “householding” lifestyle will also benefit the general public who might wish to copy these designs.
As God provides, we will build among ourselves Villas, Estates, Farmsteads, or Homestead Estates for freewill participatory community and extended multi-family households as well as Common Houses and other common facilities that make daily Oikos possible and practicable among us.
But while the new architecture will be modern in its methods, it will also be rooted in the styles and traditions of historical societies and cultures from around the world and be made attractive and memorable to the public at large.
Protocol Twelve: Revolution Within
WE GROW IN WISDOM TO FULFILL GOD’S BEST FOR OUR LIVES
The Revolution Within is inspired by a commitment to learn “line upon line” and “precept upon precept.” Maturation involves moving beyond milk to meat to actualize our purposes and bolster the Kingdom.
We will pursue our own “revolution within” following the pathway of “Believe, Think, Act, Feel, Relate, Communicate, Cooperate, Build, and Fulfill” in order to find and follow God’s Best for our lives with excellence as a witness and salt and light influence for Jesus to the nations.
We will do this all for the Glory of God and the Praise of His Name by practicing Biblical literacy, walking in the Spirit, being mutually accountable, and remaining a living sacrifice with a heart for the lost.
As we proceed we will look at our life and relationships from the perspective of the Gospel, the Bible, and then these Mandates seeking ever to align and harmonize with the ways of Christ and the way of our Christian nation. We will look at our beliefs, thoughts and etc. starting from within our lives and immediate relationships and we will seek to connect and align with others on the basis of following the same path in every increasing reach and scale.
As these Protocols are Biblical, we can and should use them as a litmus test for how we are proceeding and advancing ever closer toward fulfillment.
Our purpose in doing this is to make our calling our career, to find and fulfill God’s best for our lives and relationships with excellence, to spread and proclaim freedom for all. We endeavor to provide aid and comfort to Christians in crisis by being equipped and knowledgeable in ways to direct people who come to us to the help they need.
We aim foremost to be a salt and light witness and influence for Jesus to the nations of people around us and around the world.
Protocol Thirteen: The Marriage Covenant
WE ARE DEVOTED TO BOTH THE UNIVERSAL MARRIAGE TO YESHUA, THE CHRIST AND OUR MARRIAGES
We believe that the purpose of marriage is to reflect the relationship of Yeshua, the Christ to His Beloved and to be the means by which a man and woman reflect the divine model of love in covenant.
We will strive to live up to our affirmation of the sacredness of fatherhood and motherhood and the monogamous marriage between a man and a woman.
Our sacred ideal in the home is to preserve fatherhood and motherhood within the bonds of a lifelong marital union as the highest social aim in order to ensure that most children most of the time are raised in a loving home by their own biological parents.
We will pursue with gusto our shared mission of building strong marriages intentionally as living examples of Christ’s relationship to the Bride, the Body of Christ, or the Church.
We will make and fulfill a public commitment before fellow members to lifelong fidelity from this point on whatever the past might have been. We will commit to uphold one another and to encourage those who are single and unmarried to choose celibacy or marriage as led by God in a positive and affirming manner without being judgmental or intolerant toward others whose faith and convictions differ from our own.
We are positively FOR our chosen way of life rooted in preserving fatherhood and motherhood within a lifelong marital bond. But as to the larger secular society we embrace mutual respect and tolerance of all people and cultures based on common freedom standards and we accept all fellow human beings as equals in value and worth regardless of their own chosen or accepted preferences and lifestyles.
We expect and rightfully are owed the same level of respect, tolerance, and acceptance as we ourselves give to others. Our nation is a nation of people whose God is the Lord and our marital form and ethics are our tradition and way of life which God has ordained for each of us who joins themselves to this spiritual nation.
Protocol Fourteen: Family Honor
WE ARE COMMITTED AND CONNECTED TO OUR NUCLEAR FAMILY, RELATIVES, INTENTIONAL KIN, AND FELLOW BELIEVERS
The people in our circle of closest relationships, from relatives to those we choose to adopt into our family, should be honored and cared for as God gives us the means and opportunity to. This honor begins with our nuclear family and continues to our close relatives and others in our inner circle of relationships.
We will make conscious commitments to serve our natural or blood family accepting that God destined us to be born into that family, our immediate family which we must care for within our God-given roles (mother, father, children, brothers, and sisters), and the covenant family we may choose if our blood kin do not also embrace our chosen way of life.
We will seek to commit ourselves as individuals to mutual aide and comfort toward others with a willingness to form such familial bonds both among Society members and with fellow Christians whom God places in our lives.
This will begin with our own blood kin and immediate families. We will do all of this in a manner which gives Glory to God and which seeks to place Jesus at the center of every relationship.
We will treat all of our kinships, whether by blood or intentional, with honor, dignity, and mutual respect. This does not mean we owe it to anyone, in the name of any kinship, to violate our persons or degrade us or treat us in a manner that is undignified or to demand we compromise our way of life to satisfy them. Kinship is mutual and can and must be conditioned on ongoing mutuality of respect and honor for the dignity of each person.
We endeavor to instill in ourselves and urge all with whom we have kinship to utilize our core ideals and such standards of mutuality and respect for our mutual dignity to govern our kinship and make it fruitful and beneficial to all.
Protocol Fifteen: The Duty To Progeny
WE NURTURE OUR PROGENY AND BUILD FOR THEIR FUTURE
We have a sacred duty to build up and nurture our spiritual and physical descendants and leave them a birthright of value and worth. We impart our beliefs, values, and convictions so they may find God if they seek him. We build structures that will benefit future generations for centuries to come.
We are committed to the process of raising children into adulthood, including our own version of the rumspringa concept (which parents shall set according to their conviction), rites of initiation, and a formal “covenant making” which includes our membership in the Body of Christ as citizens of the Kingdom of God, and our membership in our “nation within the nations.”
As part of acceptance into our nation as Peers, all persons who come of age must make this formal covenant with God in the sight of their fellow Peers in the same manner. Our aim and intention in raising children who, first and foremost, follow Jesus and who then may also choose to join themselves with us through covenant with God, is to raise up men and women of faith, integrity, and nobility.
Our obligation to our progeny, both of the blood and of the spirit, is to see to it they have their needs meet in a holistic manner, to provide wisdom and counsel that dignifies them and edifies them for their good and not our own, and that instructs them first in the ways of Christ and then in our ways, that it may profit them body and soul for all their days.
We are dedicated to, first, preserving a Christian witness for generations to come and, secondarily, to ensuring the future existence and prosperity of our nation by raising up new generations of noble character and integrity.
Protocol Sixteen: Our Gideon’s Call
WE PROCLAIM OUR VISION FOR A SPIRITUAL NATION TO THOSE WHO WOULD ANSWER THE CALL
In the Book of Judges, Gideon called and over 30,000 answered. God chose only 300 to take the first step toward liberating Israel from the Midianites before the rest of the nation rejoined them. Likewise, we broadcast the call and offer the resources needed to be a Peer of our spiritual nation. The call to Peerage is between God and the individual alone.
We are each committed to using whatever means we have to broadcast a Gideon’s call to see who God is calling to our Standard, but we are not recruiting people.
Finding and affirming new Peers of Upadaria involves a “Gideon’s Call” which requires that these people be called by God and be qualified by their character. We do not recruit people or SELL our vision.
Each Peer of Upadaria commits to sharing our vision in a manner that is unobtrusive and that is merely meant to draw in those whom God draws. Our aim is to discover those whom God has called, not to “recruit as many people as possible.” (We do aim to broadcast our vision and message to as many people as possible.)
For this reason we have flags, banners, badges, pins, and the such which you can use as conversation starters.
We do not recruit: we believe God must call people to this nation. This nation, as a tribe unto the Lord, will do great works for the Glory of God and for the positive benefit of the whole Body of Christ and for the cause of freedom in this world.
Men and women of faith who are drawn to this nation need only commit to memory these 17 Protocols and make covenant with God to utilize them not as rules but as a blueprint and as a promise: for God will make a way to begin fulfilling these things in your life and He will enable you to connect with others for mutuality of assurance and support toward these ends. This is what we believe.
We will also Confirm Peers who feel led to become participants in the various structures which will emerge that proclaim our nation and work to fulfill its mandates and vision as well as to serve its people. Toward this end a Society will exist among us as an international agency that will certify and confirm such structures to protect the integrity of our name and symbols and to ensure against misuse and abuse.
While being confirmed as a Peer is necessary for the purpose of engaging in one or more structures affiliated with our nation, all who sincerely and before God pursue these protocols for the Glory of God and by His blessing and provision are Peers of our nation.
The pursuit of these Protocols is not a requirement or set of rules, these Protocols represent God’s promises and ordained will for our nation. To pursue them in a spirit of legalism would be wrong and miss the spirit and intent behind them.
Every Peer pursues these Protocols as a blueprint for their way of life to the best of their knowledge, ability, and means and solely through the grace, power, provision, and favor of God who shall change us and bless us toward the end of their fulfillment. This is not for our enrichment to consume upon ourselves but for the Glory of God to fulfill all these things as a witness for Jesus to others, that they might be saved.
If a Peer cannot do but so much, as much as they can do will be blessed and as they step forward, God will make a new way that they may experience more and live more, day by day. For we are a nation whose God is the Lord and God is our means by which we do all He has given our nation to be and do. All who are Peers of our nation will be blessed by God in that manner by which He blesses nations whose God is the Lord.
Our Gideon’s Call is for men and women of faith to align and join themselves to a Christian nation whose sovereignty is spiritual and which they join solely through a freewill covenant association between themselves and God to pursue these Protocols as God leads, enables, and provides for the Glory of God and the Praise of His Name.
We recognize that in God’s eternal blueprint there are many nations of people whose God is the Lord, ours is not the sole way to be part of such a nation and in no way is being part of such a nation a condition of salvation or eternal life. Those who hear our Gideon’s Call and are ordained to heed it should do so solely because this is written into the scroll of their life.
Those who follow Jesus but for whom this call does not apply are justified in not answering the call, because it is not for them.
Each Peer will do their part, guided by God, to issue this call and to aid and instruct new Peers as God provides. But let no Peer place the urgency of our missionary mandate to proclaim the Gospel behind this commitment to issue the Gideon’s call to become a Peer of our nation.
First and foremost and always proclaim the Gospel and look for ways and opportunities to issue the Gideon’s call that do not distract from or diminish the Gospel message.
Protocol Seventeen: Fulfilling Our Scroll
WE STRIVE TO FULFILL GOD’S BEST FOR OUR LIVES WITH EXCELLENCE
The scroll of our life is a gift from God reflecting our unique identities in Yeshua, the Christ. Each scroll was written non-linearly before natural birth. It is the guiding “wyrd” we are invited to daily align our willful intents with. In accordance with our scroll, we aim to empower ourselves and others through intimacy with God.
We believe in fulfilling our relationship and commitment to and our responsibility to behave as an integral part of the Christian Community as the governing assembly of a spiritual city-state of the Elect whose head is Christ.
Our highest ethic among ourselves is to find and fulfill God’s best for our lives with excellence. We seek this for ourselves and together so that we might be a witness and influence for our Lord to the nations. For to be a witness and influence for Yeshua is our highest good toward our fellow man. While to love and worship God is our highest good toward God.
We embrace our role as a witness and salt and light influence within the physical community based on our territorial responsibility. We consider our own nation to be a corporate witness for Jesus to the nations, this is essential to our identity and purpose as a People.
We seek to make our calling our career, inasmuch as is possible, or to make our career a witness and influence for the Lord our God to our fellow man.
We embrace our current citizenship and will seek to overall good and welfare of the country where we live and/or where we hold our citizenship as a salt and light witness and influence for Jesus and in the most patriotic manner possible.
Our nation is a spiritual sovereignty, it is a fractal and shadow of the Kingdom of God among us, it is not a political or territorial state or sovereignty.
Our goal is to broadcast the Gospel, to be an example of the Gospel in word and deed, to demonstrate the power of the Gospel, and to distribute the benefits of the Gospel both as individuals and as a spiritual nation distributed globally among the nations and peoples of this world.
To accomplish this we rely on the protection of God within our own internal Pomerium. This is a sacred border protected by God and His Hosts which surrounds every peer, ever property and all land owned of held by Peers, and all lands and property held by the various structures and entities which are affiliated with our spiritual nation.
All Peers of Upadaria are within our pomerium and God’s Host protects you. This is part of the blessings of being part of a nation whose God is the Lord.
To represent this and to declare our witness we urge every Peer and structure of Upadaria, unless doing so is life-endangering, to fly our flag in representation of our presence, of our witness, and of our availability to help all who come and seek aid: for it shall be that those who see this flag shall know this is a place where the refugee and the person in crisis can seek aid and comfort.
We recognize and are committed to human dignity and freedom rooted in virtue, liberty, and independence for all based on the original spirit and intent of the US Bill of Rights. To declare and promote freedom is essential to who we are, for therein may we freely declare the Gospel and be a witness for Christ.
For our growth together we will advance along the Course of Honor, also known as the Karygma A’ Regita, and adhere to the Kha Yasa, which is based on these 17 Protocols of our Nation of People Whose God is the Lord.
In doing these things we ensure that both as individuals and as a nation we live out and fulfill our vision to be a witness and influence for Jesus to the nations of people around us and throughout the world. A Nation Whose God Is The Lord-
BECOMING A UPADARIAN-
The Pledge In order to count yourself a Upadarian, you make a pledge before God. What is important about this pledge is that it is not irrevocable and that to fulfill this pledge you rely on the Holy Spirit empowering you as well as the provision, favor, and blessings of God.
The entire focus is on fulfilling this pledge to the best of your ability, according to your actual means, and in light of your present circumstances.
The GOAL of this pledge is to become a more effective and powerful witness for Jesus, to fulfill God’s best for your life with excellence, and to both live missionally and aid your fellow Christians in their need as God provides for you.
I (give your CHOSEN Upadarian Name), do pledge before God, this commitment to and affirmation of my identity within the spiritual nation of fellow Peers to abide by the UPDR Ideals in my relationships and treatment toward others.
I pledge to make the pursuit of God’s best for my life and being a witness for Jesus to the nations my chief aim.
I pledge to utilize, seek to fulfill, and adipt the 17 Protocols of Upadaria in an aspirational but not legalistic manner, for the Glory of God and the praise of His Name, through the power of the Holy Spirit, and according to the blessings, provisions, and favor which God may bestow upon me. I call myself a Yeshuan as a follower of Yeshua, a Christian as part of the Body of a Christ, and a Upadarian as my spiritual nationality.
I will abide by this pledge by all the means God provides, SO HELP ME GOD, AMEN.
And so after seeking God I bid my fellow Upadarians to use my name, which is this (state the name).
The assembled will then repeat the name and the highest Peer will declare: on this day of the Lord in His year (say the year) we declare (say the person’s new name) is among us and has declared for us as a fellow and equal Peer.
Then you will say, I bid you keep my given name in confidence and to call me by my Upadarian name henceforth among us.
And for my cognomen I declare myself to be (use a name that describes your calling or profession).
Having made such a pledge before God you are therefore considered by God to be a member of a nation whose God is the Lord and you can and should expect the blessings reserved for such nations to flow from God to you and, through you, in witness to others.
The new totalitarianism is a weird combination of hedonistic alt-gendered self-indulgence, cancel culture bigotry, corporate monopolies, and neocommunist politicos all working together using bogeyman fears and utopian promises to alternatively bully and con the population into submission. The lust for power and control is matched by an opposite desire to be dominated and have all worries removed by some power that takes care of everything for you. This lust for power is also fueled by ego on one hand and desire to avoid personal responsibility on the other hand. It is all the worse vices working as one to advance the power of the few at the expense of the many.
Most of the fights to push back against this totalitarianism within our midst are focused on political outcomes and events, all still aimed at hoping to control who is in the highest offices. These fights are not as essential to the battle as many believe and in some ways are a distraction from the real needs and better tactics.
Totalitarianism thrives in crisis, material dependency, a concentration of wealth and power, and the loss of support for the individual through the institutions of faith, family, and community. When individuals regain material independency and restore their support through a revitalization of faith, family, and community, they destroy the reach and power of totalitarianism in their own lives and relationships. When this happens many hundreds of thousands of times, a core of liberated people emerges who have the means and resources to effect local then state and eventually national election outcomes and they hold enough economic weight that corporations who try to cancel them get canceled themselves.
Building freedom is primarily a local effort that begins with you as an individual with your own immediate family and friends connecting in order to become as self-reliant and prosperous as possible!
Do you want to be controlled by power-mad politicians and corporations whose values you find reprehensible? Or would you prefer to be governed by your own values and to enjoy the mutual support of others who deeply share your values and beliefs?
We basically believe that close-knit collaborative relationships seeking absolute mutual self-reliance and material independency require a high degree of organic cohesiveness that shallow, braod-based coalitions of people whose core values are not deeply aligned cannot obtain. The larger coalitions needed to win an election cannot be translated to the kind of close-knit collaborative relationships needed to obtain material independency within the framework of your essential spiritual and moral convictions.
One breakthrough idea we have is the concept of intentional spiritual nationhood, which is meant to enable people to create a shared identity that reflects their beliefs and allows anyone who uses that identity to easily connect with anyone else who does. When people have such a voluntary shared identity, when it reflects their own beliefs, values, and convictions, they can connect and collaborate naturally, organically, without a top-down controlling hierarchy dictating things to them.
To build such an identity we both offer principles and an example. The “Upadarian” national identity is a form of spiritual nationhood with a Christian core identity and a set of specific ideals, principles, and practices which we might say are based on convictions that aren’t essential Christian dogma but that define that national people group.
Anyone who is a Christian and who embraces the shared convictions of this “national people”, which are spelled out in “The 17 Protocols of Upadaria”, can be a Upadarian. They have nothing to join and no human hierarchy to answer to in this decision or how they will pursue it in their life. The presence of organizations and structures that are based in whole or in part on this identity should never be conflated with the identity itself.
This is the kind of organic cohesiveness needed for small and strictly voluntary groups of people to function together in order to both acheive material independency and nurture their shared beliefs, values, and convictions. It is possible for broader coalitions of people to acheive some degree of mutual self-reliance, but if your own beliefs, values, and convictions are not nurtured, the benefit of such a group is limited.
Material independency is essential to defeating totalitarianism in our lives, relationships, and neighborhoods but spiritual and sociocultural as well as socioeconomic autonomy within a nurturing and totally free-will participatory community of fellow travelers is essential to a material independency that nurtures your own beliefs, values, and convictions.
To simply be materially independent without having your own beliefs supported and valued is of little use to your own long-term spiritual and mental well-being. One needs both spiritual and cultural independency and material independency, but spiritual and cultural independency is a necessary prerequisite to the kind of material independency that makes you truly free!
Our focus is threefold in this arena of local liberation: we promote a specific form of spiritual nationhood, we nurture compatible forms of nationhood consistent with our freedom vision, and we promote broader coalitions of people for mutual support on a group-to-group, multilateral, basis.
Holding local seminars or gatherings to find the right people may be essential to our efforts to build local self-reliance.
Building a local self-reliance and mutual support community should begin with identifying and gathering people who might wish to adopt your shared form of spiritual nationhood. Once they realize that through adopting this intentional form of spiritual nationhood they can collaborate more freely and without any hierarchical control, they will be able to quickly devise ways to be more socioculturally and then materially independent.
We do explore ways people can become more independent, but the focus of this article is on the necessity of forming local ad hoc groups that have a high degree of organic cohesiveness, such as a shared form of nationhood. When you know 20 people who live near you and who share your beliefs, values, and convictions who also have your back, as you do theirs, you will see many new opportunities to become more materially independent together, through mutual efforts.
Let’s focus here on this: creating a group of 20 or more local people who are each all connected to each other for mutual benefit and support and whose beliefs, values, and convictions are in total harmony. Forget everything else for a minute; if you achieve this your options and opportunities to be more free will grow exponentially.
All these efforts to build freedom without building these close-knit local mutual-benefit and mutual self-reliance groups based on strong organic cohesiveness are like going to war without an army. Sure, large groups can be quickly drawn together if the initial cost of engagement is really low, but such groups are undisciplined mobs easily defeated by much smaller and more cohesive groups!
If you want to be free, you need a local group of people with amazing organic cohesiveness who can work together informally or formally to deliberately create material independency while nurturing their shared beliefs, values, and convictions. While we suggest the breakthrough concept of intentional spiritual nationhood as a means to obtain this end, your particular approach simply needs to ensure that the common thread for all members is a deeply held set of beliefs, values, and convictions all within some for of shared ideals, principles, and practices which become the acceptable norms and standards of the group.
If, for instance, you read and pray over and feel drawn to the 17 Protocols of Upadaria as representing your own innermost beliefs, values, and convictions then you could find people who might agree, introduce them to these things, and, for those who feel the same way, begin to build your own local group who agree to work toward mutual self-reliance and mutual support until everyone is material independent.
Through “The Blue Book of Upadaria”, we will provide some ideas and blueprints you can use, but any group who simply use the 17 Protocols can begin building mutual self-reliance and mutual support in their own way. This is entirely autonomous.
This does not mean YOU have to use our 17 Protocols. You can build your own form of intentional spiritual nationhood use some other form of organic cohesiveness. The point is that groups of 20 people or more who strive together to build mutual self-reliance are essential to building freedom and defeating totalitarianism one neighborhood at a time!
If you desire freedom and independence, you MUST decide to work toward finding those 20 or more local people with whom mutual benefit and mutual self-reliance are possible through organic cohesiveness. If you say you cannot do this because “nobody here will do that”, first, we caution that this may not be so, but, second, and if it is true, then maybe you need to move.
Through platforms like the Freedomist and other means, you can connect to other people virtually and gain some degree of support. They may also be a handy way to gather or meet local people who are outside of your present circle but who share your beliefs. What is essential in all this is to know that the closer your group of 20 or more fellow travelers are on beliefs and physical proximity the easier it will be to obtain material independency.
