PGC – U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson calls January 6ther an insurrectionist, not a patriot, and accuses former President Donald J Trump of being the instegator of that ‘insurrection,’ pushing forth the narrative that what happened on January 6th was not a rally gone wrong through a number of factors (with blame to be found among multiple partes) but rather a coordinated effort to overthrow the government by storming the US Capitol, a conclusion that makes little to no logical sense.
The judge is asking you to believe that a group of Americans, the overwheming majority of which were unarmed, somehow thought that storming the US Capitol and siezing it would somehow pull the full might and power of the United States to the ground.
Whatever happened in January 6th will likely be a debate for decades, maybe centuries, to come, but I doubt there will be any but a few fringe conspiracy theorists who will hold to the insurrection narrative in years to come, and then, perhaps we can revisit the officials who used such a damning narrative to attack their political opponents and see if they haven’t themselves been the insurretionists the whole time.
