A New Nationhood For Freedom and Prosperity

Willem IV- We propose and promote a 21st century version of a spiritual nationhood that, if one adopts it through freewill participation, will produce universal freedom and prosperity among its peers.

Whether you are a tribal member in beleaguered Biafra under the rule of the corrupt Nigerian government, the “zoo” as many oppressed tribes refer to it, or a frustrated German citizen who wonders when your government is going to actually act like it cares about Germans, the answer to your crises of freedom isn’t necessarily what you think it is!

What you all share, regardless of color, race, ancestry, or nationality, is a lack of personal and shared freedom with dignity that promotes prosperity for most all the people most all the time. Everyone around the world can discover, adopt, and tap into the spiritual and philosophical energy of a form of nationhood that truly allows them to transcend their local and personal limits to connect globally for real empowerment with others of the same new international nationality.

Are you African and do you feel the world looking down on you as if nobody from Africa can be good or nobody of African lineage can be smart, excellent, good, or whatever? This is all lies, deception, meant to keep you down and suppress those superior qualities God has built into you as an individual and Africa as a whole continent. It remains an oppressed, colonized land whose people the rest of the world have largely despised and abused!

Every African who joins us and becomes a peer of our spiritual nation is valued and wanted, we embrace you as our equals and invite you to join in the vanguard of leading the way to the birth of a new spiritual nation and a new civilization. It will be a civilization with roots in all the major lands and people groups who come together under one banner as equals and who create a new people, virtually a new “race” (though we deny any notion there is any but one human race), without antecedent or precedence!

Go around the world, envision every country, and you will find groups of people by religion or “race” or ideology who are more like us, followers of Yeshua who desire to manifest the Kingdom of God on this earth inasmuch as we can. And many of these people are facing disadvantages and discrimination, bias and prejudice, hatred and oppression.

The Igbo of Biafra are under the Nigerian heel. The Karen of Burma face a genocidal military junta. Inner city African Americans face massive economic and sociocultural discrimination. Christians all over the world, including the West, are vilified and their moral code is virtually outlawed. All over, in every land, different groups face abuse for different reasons justified through warped man-made ideologies that are at variance with God’s standards of righteousness and justice.

It can be hard to recognize the discrimination and abuse other groups face when your group is facing abuse. The Christian, straight, white male male feeling abused by woke necommunists in every US institution feels angry, but they must also see and oppose the systemic economic and sociocultural abuse faced by denizens of American inner cities, especially if they are of African descent or simply not white. The reverse is also true.

The Igbo Christian must see also the abuses faced by the Yoruba Christian, and both must see the shame inflicted on Fulani women! If the Igbo and Yoruba Christians become Peers of Upadaria as well as the abused Fulani women, all are kin, all are of the same NEW tribe!

The “untouchable” in India can become a Noble in our nation and will come under the care of our institutions as we build them. They too must see the abuse of others in other castes and tribes.

It is our desire and great task to identify, confront, and seek to overcome all these forms of abuse and intolerance and to preserve and defend a Christian sociocultural moral and ethical tradition along with the sanctity of historical Christian institutions such as marriage, family, kinship, and community. But our foremost and immediate approach is unilateral efforts to find gaps for freedom and build on a de novo, from new, basis.

We are positively for our moral and ethical traditions and institutions, based on our particular concept and convictions around marriage, the family, kinship, and community. We are not, however, on some crusade to return the whip for the whip, to impose our way of life or to punish those who do not share our convictions.

Our aim is quite literally to build a globally-distributed spiritual nation of people based on shared ideals, principles, practices, and mandates to be a vanguard people of a new civilization founded on Kingdom ideals.

Whoever does not wish to follow the Upadarian Way does not have to, but whoever desires to follow this way we commit to supporting in their right and persons from all hazards. If you do not follow our Way, we will neither force your nor shun or shame you.

The Upadarian Way is founded on our spiritual sovereignty as beings made in the image of God.

For those who wed, it involves the Holy sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman in lifelong monogamy as the very picture of our Union with Christ. Even those who do not wed in this life are wed to Christ and participate in the universal Union of all Believers which is depicted in marriage.

For us, only marriage between one man and one woman for life is a form of worship to God that depicts the Union of Christ with His Bride, the Church Universal.

As to children, the goal is that most all Upadarian children are raised in a loving home by their own biological or adopted parents who are monogamous for life.

It is, finally, based on a concept of extended kinship in which every member of an extended kinship group feels deeply that the success and well-being of every other peer of that group is as important as their own well-being and success.

From spiritual sovereignty to marriage, children, family, and extended family our distinct and chosen way of life is ours by right to live, to the exclusion of all others, to proclaim, and to build our own relationships, associations, communities, structures, and institutions around.

We desire to live our national way of life in peace and to be at peace with our neighbors.

Upadarians are followers of Yeshua called together from around the world to become a new spiritual nation that is itself a witness and influence for Yeshua to the nations.

Our way of life and our shared identity transcends and replaces anything limited by history or previous experience and anything that contradicts God’s righteous standards for the nations. If you have been limited by your past, by the alleged sins of your ancestry or by the prejudice directed against it, becoming a Upadarian is a step away from those artificial limits.

As it says, with promise, “blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord!” Our spiritual nation may lack, and doesn’t seek, an army or a political state but it’s ruler is the Lord, not man, and its ways are the ways the Kingdom manifested in a unique diversity expression, as ordained by God. If you become a Upadarian by adopting our 17 Protocols as your lifestyle inasmuch as you can and as led by the Holy Spirit, you become a peer of a nation whose God is the Lord.

The man or woman in the furthest reaches of a Biafran village, a Karen village, an American inner city, or a German city who embraces our nationhood, by adopting the 17 Protocols of Upadaria as their lifestyle choice, comes within a sacred border of God’s blessings of provision, favor, and protection. We call this our “pomerium” and it surrounds the physical spaces occupied and every piece of land owned by a peer of our nation.

When you become a Upadarian you do not renounce your ancestors in some shameful dishonoring of their persons, but you do stake out a new path without historical antecedent and, among fellow Upadarians, you are simply and only an equal peer, regardless of whatever history in your personal life or among your ancestors.

Have you committed a crime and paid your dues but society won’t let it go? Have you made mistakes or committed sins you are ashamed of that still haunt you? As a Upadarian, when you adopt our nationhood and take on a new Upo Name among your peers, you create a new story for your life and your future and nobody will hold your past against you.

If, for instance, you have violated God’s laws on marriage, as a Upadarian, you make a fresh commitment to move forward in whatever state you are in on a clean slate and from henceforth to follow God’s standards for marriage. We do not condemn you.

Have your ancestors been abused throughout history until your very appearance and skin color is uzed, subconsciously or openly, as a mark against you? Is your race or tribe disfavored by the powers that be or through systemic bias? Becoming a Upadarian means that among your peers around the world, you are an equal in worth, value, and affection. You are truly seen as a peer and your own history and ancestry may form a beautiful part of your own tapestry, but they don’t define or limit you.

In Upadarian society, as we build our own genesis structures and institutions, nobody will be left behind, no poor person will suffer lack of good care or resources owing to lack of funds, because we will find ways, through voluntary freewill participatory associations, to assure one another of adequate benefits. Wherever you live in the world, our standard of living and quality of life will become universal and nobody will be left behind as we work together to build a worldwide socioeconomic and sociocultural infrastructure and diverse new virtual-to-local structures to meet our own needs on our own terms.

Are your facing some collective ancestral shaming by divisive totalitarians who aim to incite angry riotous mobs and fling them at society to destroy individual liberty and traditional institutions? Becoming a Upadarian means your nationality has no antecedent, we Upadarians have never conquered a single land by force, oppressed or enslaved anyone, or started any violent uprising or any wars.

If someone speaks of your “white privilege”, explain that your true color is Upadarian Blue and that your people come from many ancestries but have no history as either oppressed or oppressors!

Upadarians not the next evolution of Western Civilization or Western man. Western Civilization is within our historical heritage, as are Germanic, Classical, and Ancient Middle Eastern civilizations (Sumer, Egypt, and Israel). But the streams of ideas and principles and useful standards and practices come from diverse peoples and civilizations, such as West African, Zulu, Confucian, Indian, and the like. We find truth and wisdom in dozens of peoples and civilizations which all flow into a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.

If it seems the torch of Kingdom Civilization has gone from Israel to the Classical world, to Europe, and to America in the past, we believe the fifth great Kingdom Civilization will emerge here and there among nations and lands all over the planet. We further believe that our unique people, whose name is the same as this new civilization, will be the vanguard people of this new civilization.

People of many shades, both of skin color and ancestry, will form this new spiritual nation. This new spiritual nation will in turn also inspire many other nations of people, who may have the same ancestry, to adopt the ideals of this new civilization. These diverse nations will become a Kingdom People within the universal nationhood of all Believers in Yeshua.

Becoming a Upadarian is the key to liberation in a 21st century reality controlled in all the world’s major civilizations by a ruling class whose values are hostile to God’s standards of righteousness and justice for all peoples and all people. Even though “Upadaria” is not intended as the sole new form of nationhood founded on the person and works of Yeshua, it may be the only form of Kingdom Nationhood you can immediately access.

If it doesn’t make sense to you why adopting an intentional form of Kingdom Nationhood can liberate you and result in an increase in your own freedom and prosperity, then this call to nationhood is not for you! If something stirs within you about this, if you are ready to defy those who judge you based on ancestry or skin color, or your own past mistakes, then you may indeed have been born for such a time as this!

Becoming a Upadarian is not a formal thing. Yes, there will be Upadarian organizations and structures you can join or Upadarian services and websites you can subscribe to, but you don’t have to join anything or buy anything to become a Peer of our nation.

When you read and understand The 17 Protocols of Upadaria and when you have a basic knowledge of the meaning of our core mythology, in the form of our fictional future timeline (written in 2147 AD), then you have everything you need to decide if being a Peer of our spiritual nation is part of God scroll of destiny and purpose for your life. And when you do that, if you tell others who have done the same, your only color is Upadarian Blue and your shared ancestors are Yeshua and the Apostles. You are an equal and our shared goal is to see to it, through our structures and freewill participatory associations, that the common standard of living and quality of life for all Upadarians everywhere is the highest.

This will take time and effort on the part of every Peer and every Upadarian structure and institution that emerges. Nobody will simply fly in and hand out benefits, we will work together to build economic exchanges and structures that result in universal opulence among those who participate.

Richer Upadarians won’t simply send their wealth to poor Upadarians, our approach will be to focus more on enabling the poor to begin participating in economic exchanges that appreciably add to their wealth. But, recognizing some people and communities will be starting so far behind that catching up would be too difficult on their own, some benevolence and charity to fill in gaps and give a hand-up are envisioned.

In the end, whether a Upadarian Shirehold (our name for an extended multi-family household group) is in Africa, Asia, Europe, or the Americas, or anywhere in the world, a common standard of living and quality of life will prevail, regardless of the outside society and its economy. Freedom and prosperity on a universal basis is our norm because we are a nation whose God is the Lord and Yeshua is our King, God is our protection and provision.

A New Freedom Building Approach

Willem IV- An Essay On The NEW Upadarian Approach To Building Freedom

Building freedom in our era of top-down centralization of corporate and governmental power requires a new approach that transcends the 20th century industrialized society. We must resort to unilateral efforts that build freedom individually and locally but within a globally-distributed community of freedom-builders who share ideas and resources.

Through our new platform, called “Upadaria” and pronounced “you-pah-daria”, we want to create a global gathering of people who desire to build freedom, which results in a free and pluralistic society with universal opulence and absolute equality and equity under law. To build such freedom, we have to look for unilateral approaches which do not depend on reforming existing institutions and the existing ruling class.

To facilitate this virtual-to-local and, at the same time, global freedom-building movement, we are creating a new web 3.0 cryptonation platform called “The Virtual Commonwealth of Upadaria.” Upadaria is a name that defines our core ideals and vision for a globally-distributed free and pluralistic, and totally freewill participatory based, “commonwealth of freedom.”

(“Upadaria” means “the people rule through God’s approved wisdom”, it stands for our core ideals <Unity in diversity, Popular sovereignty, Democratic equality, and Rule of law>, is the name of our new intentional spiritual nationality whose God is the Lord, and is the name of a new civilization founded on God’s standards of righteousness and justice.)

It may be that the vast majority of people, and/or the ruling class, in your country and your culture will continue to reject the things that lead to a free and prosperous society. This obstinacy may continue for decades or it may only end when that culture itself and all its institutions collapse in the future.

The present approach is to build freedom through reformation of existing institutions and changing the very makeup, qualifications, and decision-making structures of the ruling class. This mostly involves politicking, corporate activism, civic activism, and culture-changing efforts via corporate and political controls or influence.

There is no argument these things cannot or should not be pursued, inasmuch as lies within our means. But there is a strong argument that these things cannot and should not be our primary focus. This especially applies beyond the very local level. Only at the very local level can a small cohesive body of people influence and direct most local structures, like business, culture, and government.

A new blueprint for building freedom can be powered and supported through global connections and collaboration on a freewill participatory basis, hence our platform. But its greatest manifestation and impact, we propose, comes from a more face-to-face approach.

In sharing our overall plan for building freedom, even our specific approach to organizing principles and official designations, we are hoping to give enough concrete information from which you can glean your own ideas.

Our overall global plan includes a networking of area-wide “distributed privately developed free cities” we call “Shires.” Bear with us as we delve a bit into details whose minutiae may be less useful than their use as a concrete illustration of broader principles, which are useful.

We begin sort of in the middle, but with the first larger-scale effort that we think our overall movement will be mostly known for. Moreover, we suspect this type of structure will be the way most people in the future access and experience our vision.

What we think will be our main contribution to scaled-up efforts to pursue freedom is the concept of a Upadarian Shire community. Our concept of the Upo Shire is a distributed privately developed free city within a given area administerer by a chapter organization of a Upadarian Branch Society. It serves a broader clientele than just Society members or Christians.

(Note that other terms apply to special Shires, like urban Shires called Bergs or special home chapter organizations called Shiredoms or Regal Shiredoms, but all are still Shires. Just remember, a Shire for us is a distributed privately developed city capable of meeting the basic material needs of its participants. A Upo Shire is a Shire operated by a chapter organization of a Upadarian Branch Society.)

The distributed privately developed city itself, adminstered by a chapter organization connected to a Branch Society of our intentional NGO, owns lands distributed all over a given area as well as common facilities and hubs both to support their “citizens” and to conduct their mission to help people in need.

We plan a Upo Shire community called “Riqueday City, USA”, to be adminstered by an (also planned) area chapter organization for the Upadarian Society of America (a Branch Society of our NGO) which we will establish in the future.

This will be the genesis community for the whole concept Upo Shire communities and Shires in general. A s stated already, we do not use the term “Distributed Upo City” for a Shire, that is just a reference to its technical definition:  a Upo Shire is a distributed Upo City adminstered by a chapter organization.

The general public who become subscribers join a virtual-to-local city and/or lease residential or commercial property from the “city.” Hence the term “city” will normally be used for the public-facing elements. “Riqueday City, USA” is a distributed Upo City adminstered by a chapter organization, a Shire.The official chapter designation for this important home chapter organization is “The Regal Shiredom of Riqueday.” This is just a specific form of a Shire.

While Shires will be the norm, we also plan larger contiguous developments as hubs for our global effort, these are called Upo Cities as well, albeit both in title and in definition. In other words, a distributed Upo City is called a Shire, but a contiguous Upo City is also called a Upo City.

A Upo City is a privately devleoped, locally autonomous, and free city that caters to a diverse population within a charter provided by a host country and whose governance and administration are organized around the ideals and etc of the Upadarian civilization and our spiritual nation. Additionally, and also importantly, its citizens are more like customers and it is administered by an area chapter organization and by Peers of a Upadarian Branch Society or a Upadarian Missionary Tribe (there are 17) who live there.

These general concepts also apply to Shires, though, unless some or all of their lands have a designation like a tribal homeland or reservation, they are not in any way autonomous.

In general terms, we also define contiguous Upo Cities as “Refuge and Freedom Support Hubs”, or just “Hubs”, because they are a refuge of freedom and provision in a world riven by conflict and where freedom itself is the constant target. They will often act as regional to territorial support hubs for whole Branch Societies, major chapter organizations, or Missionary Tribes in their work.

Some may have strategic importance for some aspect of the global NGO mission, like Novazzia City, a planned Upo City, called a Regal City because it will host major support services for the global mission of the NGO. In this case, it will host international services and resources related to security and safety and for training people in the Upadarian governmental system.

Note: another Novazzia, called Novazzia City, USA, is the planned genesis community and home chapter organization for a territorial chapter organization of the Upadarian Society of America. This planned Shire will be responsible for establishing the first overseas development from which the international Upo City, Novazzia City, will grow.

Riqueday City, USA is meant to be a Shire within the greater Twin Tiers. It will be physically manifested in the form of various Hubs, contigious larger-scale developments called Upo Communities, clustered housing developments (Estates, Castles, or Villas) and common/support facilities (Embassies, Missions, Castles, Common Houses, and Chapter Houses). It will also be the provisional world HQ for our planned NGO and for the platform. It will also have its own area-wide virtual network within the Virtual Commonwealth of Upadaria.

Other Shires (as distributed cities) are planned for the lower Delmarva Peninsula, northern California, West Africa, and other locations around the world. Riqueday City, USA will also sponsor the eventual development of other Upo Cities, such as The Crown Principality of Upadaria, the official chapter designation for this Upo City, the planned international HQ for the NGO, and Riqueday Regency, a chapter organization within the EU.

Just remember that Shires are our version of distributed privately developed free cities adminstered by a chapter organization of a Upadarian Branch Society but that serve a broad cross-section of people as subscribers to its service, what we call eCitizens.

The Shire concept can be adapted by any group of people and if a number of Shire-type communities coexist within a given area there is room for a coalition or compact for mutual support in the cause of freedom.

These Shires, as both distributed cities that serve a broad audience of client-citizens and as chapter organizations with a Upadarian Branch Society, will mostly consist of local to very local trust communities organized around a modern version of the ancient extended multi-family household community.

This leads to our proposed primary innovation, the intentional modern adaptation of the ancient multi-family extended households, called “oikos” in the Greek of the 1st century world.

How can we conceive of these oikos-like local communities?

Think of a modernized “tribal village” of around 120 adults that is distributed throughout a small town and that gathers and clusters around common facilities (Common House, Chapter House, Mission, Villa, etc.) for activities and events. Imagine an entire area-wide network of such “villages” with larger hubs and facilities, distributed among many towns or cities within its service area.

As these new frameworks become alternative, unilateral structures, a drive to actually transform your local neighborhood or community into a sanctuary for freedom can be successfully conducted.

Imagine a small city of 50,000 people where over half of the voters sign a Freedom Sanctuary Pledge and are engaged in some form of gathering together or in clustered housing developments like unto these modernized forms of the ancient multi-family extended household. Such a city may pass a Freedom Sanctuary Ordinance that commits the city government to basic human rights and liberty based on the original spirit and intent of the US Bill of Rights.

Note that we do not only want this for local governments in the USA, we want this wherever in the world we can do it.

Practical things like alternative energy, sustainable agriculture, mutual assurance funds, cooperatives, mircofacturing, 3d printing, and the like will be needed. But the greatest change will be a personal lifestyle change that comforms to the most successful sacred patterns and standards in a thoroughly future-looking manner. Without such a lifestyle change (ideally within a new sociocultural structure of globally scalable organic cohesiveness) these practical things will benefit only a few people and only for a limited time.

This begins as people choose to adopt a new lifestyle and governance philosophy, a new civilizational paradigm, and even a new spiritual nationality, which is the practical glue that creates non-hierarchical organic cohesiveness. Those who go as far as to adopt the new spiritual nationality can use this new-found organic cohesiveness to quickly gather and, starting as individuals and families, autonomously use a common blueprint to create their own very local to regional alternative structures.

Our blueprints and frameworks are directed toward a specific vision for a specific new spiritual nation and the distributed global emergence of a new civilization all centered on the person, works, and truths found in Yeshua. We also introduce a new lifestyle and governance discipline, or philosophy, that anyone can apply the broader, more general principles and ideas to their own efforts to build freedom through unilateral action by organically cohesive free association of people.

We are building virtual support structures now. We propose that we must begin at the level of a global-scale but virtual-to-local gathering of people who at least adopt a new lifstyle philosophy and then a new civilizational paradigm based on freedom as defined by God’s standards of righteousness and justice. The Virtual Commonwealth of Upadaria is a new platform that will gather people, impart the vision, support them, and enable them to build connections for mutual profit and support. From virtual-to-local connections, local gatherings of people can autonomously use these blueprints in a manner suited to their immediate needs and resources until whole distributed cities that are part of this globally-distributed “Commonwealth” of free people are established here and there.

Our distributed free cities (Shires) will be adminstered by area chapter organizations within the Branch Societies of our international NGO. They will own real estate such as lands, common facilities, and hubs, along with clustered housing options. Through local chapter communities and coalitions with other civic groups, they will be able to influence local institutions and even county/provincial or municipal governments until actual Freedom Sanctuaries are declared.

This will not be successful everywhere. But the presence of free communities of people can be everywhere and, through an international NGO and other legal structures can be a new layer of protection and support from abuse. This NGO can emgage in international advocacy for universal human rights and universal liberty based on the original spirit and intent of the US Bill of Right

We also envision larger hubs, possibly whole “Upo Cities”, like a modern version of cities of refuge, but based on legal structures like special economic zones and other larger-scale developments or private cities. If and when these emerge they would also be part of this global Commonwealth organized and administered through a recognized international NGO.

We are literally talking about a new civilization being unilaterally built all over the world. We are literally talking about people adopting a new form of spiritual nationality that individuals adopt on their own right along with their ancestry.

The lifestyle change envisioned within our vision, which you can adopt wholly or in its broader outlines in your own way, is vital. The lifestyle of the atomized life (without real mutuality at the familial and community scale and without a globally scalable organic cohesiveness) has rendered everyone prey to corporate and governmental influence and control through material dependency.

There are those whose culture is already supportive of some form of Shirehold, but it tends to lack scalability, is limited to blood kinship, and can be constrained by manipulation and control that tend to work against individual spiritual sovereignty. Many of these extended families and tribes lack organic cohesiveness in practical matters and/or retain some of the worse elements of ancient tribalism that the modern world has rightly discarded. Moreover, many are not under the voluntary lordship to Yeshua.

Building freedom demands a lifestyle change. It requires a return, in modern form, to proven ancient norms and structures which would make you materially independent of the present top-down systems of control. Without a restoration, again, in modern form, of the ancient multi-family extended household community and its networks which became a whole distributed city within areas, we will not build freedom that lasts.

What we call a “Shirehold” is the modernized version of this ancient extended multi-family household, a community of around 120 connected adults and their children. Your involvement in something like a Shirehold would render you vastly more free, secure, and prosperous than you are now or could ever be outside of such an arrangement.

In addition to a shared culture and way of life as well as a shared mission, the core element of a Shirehold is that every participant feels that the success and well-being of everyone else is equal in value to their own success and well-being. This feeling of belonging and acceptance and its practical impact is lost among many modern cultures. Without this nurturing enclosure that doesn’t smother the individual but, rather, awakens their potential, personal freedom can be easily manipulated or removed.

You are connected to and governed by many relationships and people. This cannot change. It is part of the human condition and experience. Moreover, strong mutual bonds between individuals and bodies of people are ordained and prescribed by God for human civilization. What we propose, and what constitutes our major breakthrough innovation, is that we unilaterally choose what relationships and mutual bonds we will partake in that conform with God’s scroll of destiny and purpose (what we call “wyrd”) for our own lives.

Our blueprint for a new civilization and a globally distributed Commonwealth of freedom is conveyed through a fictional future history written in 2147 AD, called “The Blue Book of Upadaria: A Secret History of The New Civilization.”

Herein lies the spiritual, sociocultural, socioeconomic, and philosophical DNA of a new spiritual nation as the vanguard people of a new civilization. It uses creativity and imagination, in the form of a fictional future history, but its core ideals, principles, practices, and mandates are useful in the here and now.

You can choose to adopt that new spiritual nationality, but you can also only engage at the level of the civilizational paradigm or by using the lifestyle and governance discipline (philosophy) conveyed.

Our Gideon’s Call is initially meant to gather the core of spiritual nation and freedom builders. At the same time, we are sure to find and connect with many more individuals who will find the philosophical foundations or the whole civilization paradigm useful and/or who choose to adopt this new nationality.

Whether or not you are called to participate in our particular effort and vision to build freedom, we hope to convey broader ideas and principles for unilaterally building freedom. You may not form or participate in a Upadarian “Shirehold” community, but, we propose, you will need something like this in your life if you desire less material dependency and more personal freedom.

The practical elements of having your own local food through renewable resources and having your own local micro-factory which uses recycled materials to produce consumer items, and many more, are not possible without a new underlying paradigm and culture. We have to be able to build freedom on our own through personal choices, relationships, associations, and communities of trust based on organic cohesiveness that can scale globally.

It won’t be easy or fast. Many changes can happen just through adopting a more freedom-oriented mindest and paradigm, but also many changes take years of mutuality and collaboration on a local to regional and global scale. Where you live may or may not change, but how you live, how you spend time and money and who and when you do this with will shift in a manner that more directly harmonizes with your God-given “wyrd”, which we explained is the scroll of purpose and destiny fulfillment for your life.

These Shirehold communities may not, especially now, take the form of an intentional community where everyone has a residence on a shared piece of real estate. Their smaller “Kinship Groups” of 10-20 adults and 5-10 nuclear families with attached single adults may have some form of clustered housing options for participants, but even these may just be a neighborhood group who gather at a Common House for activities and functions.

Clustered housing is definitely an idea we support, but it is more essential, and more practical, for most people, to remain in their existing homes, especially if they own them, and not to physically change their residence. What is essential is that when you gather with a group of people who have all adopted the same sociocultural identity and way of life, which is a function of national identity, you begin to act as an extended multi-family household that cares for its members as a large extended family or a tribal village of old would have.

It is important to not that Upadarians are from every race and ethnicity. Anyone who adopts our nationality through freewill participation and by making the Pledge of Peers between themselves and God alone, is a Upadarian.

Among us we have no race or ancestry, though we do honor our ancestors as individuals. Upadaria has no past. There is nothing we have done to be ashamed or proud of, our history begins now and we have a clean slate. When you become a Upadarian, your spiritual nationality is Upadarian and this transcends all identities save our identity as followers of Yeshua.

Every Upadarian, regardless of racial background, ancestry, or anything else is an equal Peer, loved and valued as kin and as part of our tribe, our People. The disadvantaged and downtrodden and those who experience prejudice and hate are our welcome kin and know that as a Upadarian, every other Peer of our spiritual nation will stand with you and for and against your abusers! We are not white or black, brown, red, or yellow, we are all Upadarian Blue!

(Note that we do not mean to erect some sort of color-blind society that doesn’t recognize past and present abuses based on race and ethnicity. Nor do we want to whitewash or erase diverse cultures and historical peoples. The idea here, specifically AMONG those who ADOPT our shared nationality, is that we are creating a NEW spiritual nation not limited to or defined by historical or present-day social constructs of race, or to bloodlines or ancestry. We are a new spiritual nation and a “race”, that isn’t a race, built on shared ideals and values. Our “color” comes not from our skin, but from our flag, and that color is blue.)

Each Shirehold is like a distributed little tribal village, a kindred of around 100 or or so adults and their children, centered on the nuclear family and kinship groups of around 5-10 nuclear families and attached single adults. This is the modernized version of the ancient way which you adopt by CHOOSING to participate in such groups of people ONLY if their shared ideals and etc. harmonize with your own wyrd. This is all freewill participatory association, nothing is manipulation or coercion.

Building freedom in our world takes a new approach based on unilateral action and connections, all based on freewill participation, that are both very local in their application and global in terms of networking for mutual profit and support. Our approach may or may not be the only one of its kind, perhaps others exist (we hope they do!), but we predict this approach will become more and more prevalent among freedom seekers and freedom builders in the coming decades.

Our blueprints and frameworks can be accessed and plugged into, through premium paid subscriptions to our Virtual Commonwealth (our platform). You can then use these blueprints and frameworks in your own autonomous manner and eventually opt to create a formal chapter community within a chapter organization of a Branch Society of our NGO.

This is how we propose freedom will emerge unilaterally and globally through unilateral activities, one person and one family at a time, as facilitated by a virtual platform that connects people on a virtual-to-local basis.

From this will emerge:

1. a new freedom-building lifestyle and governance philosophy as a personal discipline and shared way of life that can can be adapted and applied to making better choices, building better and stronger relationships, and consciously aligning your life, relationships, and associations with God’s scroll of destiny and purpose for your life as a spiritually sovereign human being

2. a new nation of people whose God is the Lord, adopted by individuals who are called to be part of such a nation, a nation called from all races and ethnicities, a nation with a clean slate and new history begining now, and called to be a wholly new ethnicity, whose people and communities are distributed globally as a beacon of the Kingdom and of freedom to the nations

3. a new international commonwealth of freedom organized as a virtual platform and an NGO with many Branch Societies, Chapter Organizations, and Chapter Communities based in the modern multi-family extended household, called a Shirehold

4. a global network of distributed cities called Shires seeking some form of legal standing as private developments and of freedom refuges, called Upo Hubs, Upo Hub Communities, and Upo Cities, with special economic and sociocultural status under national and international laws (like tribal homelands or special economic zones)

5. a new a worldwide “freedom civilization” with adherants in every land that transforms lives and communities and results in a flourishing of freedom around the world that no power on this earth can overcome or prevent from being established

Building freedom requires unilateral activities among people who come together in freewill participatory association to create the things that enhance their lives while influencing the world around them without solely or primarily depending on convincing the majority to embrace these ideas.

This is a big vision, it begins small and it can be useful in your life in the here and now, but the work involves many tens of thousands and may require multiple generations.

Quantum Thinking: Hype Or Valuable Skill?

Willem IV- It is now emerging as all the rage to become a quantum thinker. Whether this becomes a true trending fad or not, it has gained enough traction so as to warrant a thoughtful response and explanation.

While people may argue the definition, in general, the ability to step outside of the confines of time and space and the ability to perceive and then understand the origins and potential outcomes of a given event or data point from multiple perspectives and facets all at once is quantum thinking.

It is a form of thinking that is multidimensional, multi-faceted, and non-linear but that is capable of translating into any dimension or facet, though it often requires explaining those dimensions and facets in a linear manner to a broader audience.

Can quantum thinking be taught or is it an innate capability one may develop if one has it but which not all people can develop? Is it purely a function of IQ?

I tend to believe that almost anyone can benefit from and learn some level of quantum thinking but that most people won’t because they are habituated to think as they do. They may be ego-stroked, for a fee, into imaging they are quantum thinkers, but most people tend to be unwilling to truly change their mode of thinking as they get older.

That being said, linear, one-dimensional thinking from a limited perspective of mostly personal experience or internalized acculturation serves most people, most of the time, for the roles, functions, and lifestyle most tend to follow.

While it may be argued that quantum thinking is “superior”, it is far more complicated, it can be cumbersome, and it may not be necessary in most cases, for most people, most of the time. Quantum thinking can overwhelm you with possibilities and opportunities, but it can also open your mind to new possibilities and opportunities you never saw before and which could greatly improve your life.

For as long as I remembered I was blessed, or afflicted, with the innate ability and tendency to use quantum thinking, though I did not call it that. Ideas like non-linearity, eternity, no beginning, quantum entanglement, and even the concepts related to emergent reality from 2-dimentional data are not complicated to me.

For example, long before I heard of the concept of 6 degrees of separation, I spoke of a global web in which anyone was indirectly removed from anyone else on the planet by only 5-7 people. I actually used this deliberately to connect to famous or influential people, so it wasn’t a theory, it was a practical methodology for personal advancement which has served me well.

It has been said that in order to engage in quantum thinking one needs to be engaged in higher level math for many years. I do not agree that this is absolutely necessary, mostly because many of the hard concepts explained by higher math are understandable to me, sans the math.

But I do think anyone, including myself, would benefit from the mental experience of using higher math. I also think that learning and using higher math can allow someone otherwise unable to engage in quantum thinking to do so.

It may not be a coincidence that I took a math aptitude test when considering enrolling in a university and was told it was the highest score ever in the history of the campus. I’m not sure this was true, they may have been engaged in exaggeration. The truth is, math is not my favorite thing, but it comes quite easy. I am convinced, therefore, that if you do not already innately use quantum thinking that you should begin with algebra and advance into the highest levels of math possible.

That being said, for many who use math to access quantum thinking there is possibly a difference between their perception and mine. Namely, for them this is all a mathematical formula, but for me these things are not a formula, they have a certain experiential quality I cannot explain in linear language, or in plain English.

When I sense being outside the time and space continuum, it is not a formula, it is a certain reality I feel and experience just as I do the linear reality.

The ability to engage quantum thinking is not all we need. Linear, one-dimensional thinking in the here and now is also useful for daily activities. It is also useful for marketing purposes, I might add, because a direct appeal to a need or desire cannot be complicated.

A bus driver may find quantum thinking a distraction from navigating a roadway. But when they are not driving, they may use quantum thinking to determine their next career move or to understand the potential future developments in society or their industry that may impact their life.

If they begin learning higher math and even the principles of logic, as a discipline, they will begin to use quantum thinking more and more. They may not feel and sense multiple dimensions of reality or non-linear reality (though, who knows, maybe they will) but they will have a mathematical comprehension that is quite useful.

As this concept of quantum thinking begins to be shared, and if it becomes quite the fad, I suspect a watered-down or fake version thereof will be sold to stroke people’s egos that they are quantum thinkers, without any of them experiencing actual quantum thinking. It will be far easier to sell the ego boost of fake quantum thinking than to actually impart the skills of quantum thinking.

Being a “quantum thinker” doesn’t make you better than anyone or necessarily smarter. Many linear thinkers run circles around me in terms of success and happiness and, in the end, all who follow God’s best for their life with excellence (as we often say) will eventually, if not in this life the next, become quantum thinkers.

I have spent all my conscious life, over 45 years, actively engaging in this kind of multi-dimensional and multi-faceted as well as non-linear thinking to navigate life. I have used it to see and predict future realities, to connect with people of influence in order to advance myself, and to see problems and solutions from many angles to suss out true origins and probable end results.

But I also learned to use and apply linear, one-dimensional, and single faceted thinking or presentations to navigate daily activities and to reach people where they are through communications and marketing.

Knowing when and where to apply the two primary types of thinking and knowing how not to get overwhelmed in all the possibilities of quantum thinking are skills I still strive to perfect.

Can you learn quantum thinking? Generally, I think most everyone can learn some level of quantum thinking, while some will have more innate abilities than others, and that learning higher level math is the best way to approach this if it is totally alien to you.

One the other hand, there are those who do innately seem to have this skill and for them quantum thinking is not limited to or obtained through mathematical forms, though it is likely they also have good math skills.

Quantum thinking is not the only way to think and at times it isn’t even the best way to think. People can have quite happy lives with only linear thinking and nobody will really navigate this world successfully through only quantum thinking.

If you are offered some quick way to master quantum thinking, don’t fall for it. There is no quick way to do this, unless it is innate already in your thinking, as it may be, in which case you don’t need some quickie way to master it. It takes years of discipline, even if you innately have the basic skills.

Quantum thinking will never replace the need for linear thinking in the here and now. It isn’t ever one or the other and one can be quite happy without any quantum thinking at all while one is unlikely to be happy by only ever using quantum thinking.

Ironically for me, linear thinking was more of a struggle, I am far more comfortable in a multidimensional and non-linear reality. I learned that without linear thinking as well I would fail to truly experience the here and now and would find quick decision-making in the here and now to be difficult.

Quantum thinking may become the rage, and many will gladly take your coin to stroke your ego and convince you through some simple exercise that you have mastered quantum thinking in 30 days or less.

Don’t follow the hype. Quantum thinking is useful and can be learned through disciplined efforts over many years, but it will never eliminate the need or usefulness of linear thinking in the here and now, and mastering it doesn’t make you better or necessarily smarter than anyone else.

Tolerant Tribalism Is Good For Society

Society benefits from tolerant tribalism because it prevents the emergence of “One Big System” of an authoritarian bent and prevents divisions and strife along tribal lines. Tolerant tribalism is where you identify with a tribe but you do not have intolerance toward other tribes in your community or society. Tolerant tribalism is unity in diversity, intolerant tribalism is hatred and authoritarianism.

The tendency to always view an ethnic group, race, religious group, Party or a other group as always good or bad, with no exceptions, is a form of intolerant tribalism. Intolerant tribalism is when your identity with your perceived tribe is the only thing that you consider it right or OK to be part of. It’s beyond simple tribalism, where you adopt a tribal identity of some kind but don’t have intolerance toward other tribes.

Feeling your tribe is the best isn’t intolerance. Feeling your tribe is best and others are just a pure evil that needs to be expunged from society is intolerance.

Those who argue against all forms of tribalism, even tolerant tribalism, are coming from the perspective of atomized individualism wherein we are all separate but non-differentiated and are only subject to One Big System (OBS) which everyone is subjected to. Tribalism forms voluntary identities and purposes shared by numbers of people and is a necessary intermediary between OBS and the individual. Without some form of tolerant tribalism we become mere nameless cogs in the machine!

For example, Christians believe Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to salvation, but they recognize the humanity and dignity of people of all faiths and don’t assume everyone in any faith community is all this or that. There are those who become intolerant tribal toward others, and in the name of Christ, but this is a contradiction of the Gospel and of core Christian ethics.

When your tribe and the leaders and/or institutions that represent your tribe, like a politician or a news source, cannot ever be wrong while the others are always wrong, you lose the power of critical thinking. You cannot see things objectively and are likely to miss good ideas and opportunities that are presented by other tribes you have foolishly dismissed.

Often, people infected with this malady of intolerant tribalism do not know or refuse to use basic rules and principles of critical thinking. They generally don’t really have a “true north” set of ideals, principles, or values that govern their thinking. Not using or knowing these things makes intolerant tribalissts easily controlled by the tribal leaders they associate with, to the point where it becomes hero worship and idolatry. Knowing your true north and using critical thinking and logic in light of your core beliefs, values, and convictions prevents you from falling for intolerant tribalism. It prevents you from missing good ideas from other tribes. It keeps you safe from hero worship.

The intentional tribal identity of our new platform, Upadaria, as “Upadarians”, is a purely voluntary identity based on explicitly shared ideals, principles, and practices. It is a tolerant tribalism that welcomes others, even within that same platform, on the basis of shared human dignity and a love for freeedom for all.

A society riven by intolerant tribalism is a society headed for some form of crisis where one tribe wins power and lords it over others in some authoritarian fashion or where the tribes fly apart, resulting in upheavals and even potentially civil war or secession, or some form of insurrection. Eventually, violence follows intolerant tribalism.

As for tolerant tribalism, it does not cause division, it can engender organic unity across diverse groups. Tolerant tribalism prevents the individual from beyond absorbed by an OBS while also preventing them from becoming separated from or hostile to the larger society.

Intolerant tribalism is bad for any society and if we adopt it, becoming blind to any flaws in our tribe and to any good ideas from other tribes, we shorten our own horizon of opportunities and we increase the chances for upheaval and crisis in our society.

Cyber Attacks Reveal Need For A Path To Independency

Willem IV- Two recent cyber attacks on critical supply chain infrastructure in the US have exposed our dependency vulnerability that must be addressed unilaterally through a path of independency. A new book, website, and eventually cryptonation platform will provide a guide and pathway to build freedom through independency in your life and community.

In early May, the Colonial Pipeline, carrying around 40% of fuel for the US east coast was cyber attacked with ransomwear by an alleged Russian hacking group named “Dark Side.” And on June 1, less than a month later, cyber attacks against a Brazilian-owned meat processing firm with operations in multiple states, and which produces 25% of US meat products, was also cyber attacked.

Both incidents revealed three things: the centralization of market production by a very few firms, cyber attack vulnerabilities in their operations, and the rapidity with which supplies to consumers can be severely limited or cut off. If one feels that all the rudiments of civilization are extremely fragile and could be swept away rapidly and without notice, these cyber attacks are proof of this.

The efficiency of centralized economics, whether by dint of government control or the narrowing of the competitive field to a few large providers, begins to lose its value as one considers the cost outside of the immediate price of consumer items. A cheaper product may be obtainable through mass production and centralized control, but the non-monetary costs may be exceedingly high, especially if one cost is that it doesn’t take much to decimate the supply chain.

Americans may be shocked to learn that more and more of their crucial infrastructure and resources are foreign owned and thus unresponsive to things like patriotism or the sociocultural values of the population. They may also be shocked to learn how such foreign ownership results in bureaucratic responses connected all the way to a foreign city, which makes these crucial parts of the supply chain even more vulnerable.

This is even more true in many counties outside the US, many of which rely on US, Chinese, or European supply-chain owners whose decisions do not reflect, or respect, their values and interests.

What all this means for you, if you remain in a state of dependency to a centralized economic system, is that you have no real economic certainty or security. Your access to needed supplies is vulnerable, often you are depending on foreign decision-makers whose hearts are not aligned with your values or any love for your country.

What kind of response is needed? We need a comprehensive and whole-person, whole-needs response that relies on locally autonomous bodies of people with maximum organic cohesiveness engaged in mutually profitable free exchange and voluntary cooperation.

We need to intentionally and unilaterally connect with people whose values and affections closely resemble our own convictions to create alternatives to the centralized supply-chain. Anything less than this keeps you in a state of dependency to the whims and failures of people whose decisions are not aligned with your values or interests.

A new book, website, and eventually a cryptonation platform, will outline the concepts and methods of a new civilization. This includes complete decentralization of economic, social, cultural, and political life through unilateral local connections within a global support network that will address this and other issues. Using the backdrop and creative device of a future history written in 2147 AD, The Blue Book of Upadaria is a tour de force in all the frameworks and blueprints of that new civilization founded on things like virtue, liberty, and independence.

The Book is also part of an overall plan involving a website with e-learning features and news/content based on these ideas, the eventual creation of a cryptonation platform beginning as its own social media/social networking platform, and an international NGO focused on mutual self-reliance, missions, and providing refuge. This will also include the development of Branch Societies, such as The Upadarian Society of America, the Upadarian Society of West Africa, the Upadarian Society of The European Union, the Upadarian Society of India, and the like.

These genesis structures, supported by paid subscribers and members, will facilitate efforts by individuals and autonomous local groups to pursue unilateral independency through mutual self-reliance and through adopting something like this form of nationhood that provides a strong but non-invasive organic cohesiveness.

The practical actions needed to translate the concept of local economic autonomy for life’s necessities, thus protecting against the disruptions possible in a centralized supply-chain, are explained in detail. Whether one adopts the exact model, based on organic cohesiveness through a shared intentional nationality, the basic concepts and principles can be broadly applied.

At the heart of this approach is a combination of freedom-building efforts. First, this involves finding and using gaps for freedom that promote individual and local self-reliance through unilateral actions. Second, this involves creating safe-havens or freedom sanctuaries through cooperation on a freewill basis. Third, this involves engaging in local civic activism through consensus and voting en bloc that results in local governments backing the rights, physical safety, and economic self-reliance of their citizens.

The “revolution” to take back your land, anywhere in the world, from those whose decisions positively violate your values and interests, while undermining our human dignity and basic human rights, will be waged through individuals and autonomous local groups that connect virtually on a global scale for mutual support.

As people exercise unilateral mutual self-reliance, self-preservation, and self-determination, their lives, their associations and communities of trust, and their local governments begin to reflect a high standard of freedom through very tangible independency. Breaking the chains of dependency takes work and is the only way to be safe from sudden and arbitrary disruptions to the supply of your basic necessities.

The renewal of the land and its liberation from those who respect neither your values nor your interests begins one person, one family, one small group of people, and one locale at a time. The agency of this change, the intentional adoption of a new form of nationhood that provides organic cohesiveness, is one of the core breakthrough ideas of The Blue Book of Upadaria.

The inspiration provided and the blueprint laid out by The Blue Book of Upadaria are such that one doesn’t need to adopt the proposed form of nationhood to glean wisdom and useful ideas from its pages. Whether you go full in on the proposed global emergence of this form of nationhood, which is a spiritual nation whose God is the Lord, or just use its overall ideas, you will find a concrete path to go from dependency to independency.

The Glories of ACTUAL Capitalism

By Willem IV- Actual capitalism, not its gross mischaracterization or misappropriation, is glorious and would lead to universal opulence if actually achieved.

We don’t rail against the gross imbalance of the distribution of wealth as an indictment against the rich, unless we can identify and prove actual unethical and/or illegal activities.

Our focus is on the inherent threat such imbalance poses to the stability of society and on lifting up the disadvantaged so that prosperity is the universal norm almost everyone obtains.

Our focus is also on the individual’s right to access the market in order to obtain wealth and success through serving and being served by others in a voluntary free exchange.

Finally, our focus is on identifying and constraining injustices and both structural and systemic biases or hindrances to wealth creation by and for the least among us.

We firmly believe actual capitalism is bounded by the ancient and sacred moral standards of the Kingdom of God and the righteous and just standards of Yeshua. But this has always been the case: capitalism, even before it was named, was always based on the ethical orthodoxy of historic Christianity and a Judeo-Christian worldview. The aim has always been to lift up the low places and to help the disadvantaged and left behind.

The misappropriation of capitalism by modern versions of feudal lords who render workers and customers serfs is baneful to economic justice. And economic justice is one of the pillars of capitalism as understood by such foundational thinkers as Adam Smith. The use of a false form of “capitalism” to perpetuate the fears and utopianism of state controlled economics is a dishonest, bad faith opposition. The “capitalism” they oppose, cronyist oligarchy, is also, ironically, opposed by the principles and standards of capitalism.

The aim of capitalism predates even the use of the word capitalism. Our aim is universal opulence, bounded by voluntary moral and ethical standards that affirm life and human dignity, starting with lifting up the most disadvantaged among us. Anything short of that we oppose.

Wealth isn’t finite. We don’t need to take from the upper 5% to make things equitable for the lower 40%, as an example. What we need is to raise the bottom 40% up, through capitalism bounded by Judeo-Christian ethics, which will change the overall distribution of wealth without merely reducing the wealth of the few in order to simply redistribute the same pie without increasing wealth overall.

If the rate of wealth attainement increases among the lower ranks in terms of wealth and income at an even higher rate than those at the top, then less extremes of wealth inequality will be obtained. If opulence is universal, it won’t matter how rich any group of people are, a wealthy society which has few poor and which has the means to ensure nobody is left behind is a stable society.

Our goal must not be to simply ask bureaucrats to use the police if need be to take from the most wealthy and pass that back to the disadvantaged, with strings attached, but only after the bureaucracy gets its cut and politicians use it to buy votes. This is terribly inefficient and leads to corruption and its net effect is a decrease in total wealth and the general distribution of poverty among more and more people.

Do not heed the siren call of state control of the economy, through massive taxes and regulations, regardless of their bogeyman fears or utopian promises. Do not equate capitalism with the baneful acts, like worker exploitation or consumer fraud, that it opposes!

Seek prosperity. Seek capitalism.

Capitalism is glorious and even in its limited form, encumbered by the two evils of cronyist oligarchy and state controlled economics, it has exceeded any economic methodology known to human civilization. True and complete capitalism would produce universal opulence without a morbid imbalance of wealth, especially without a government that cotnrols over 27% of all economic activity and whose policies tend to concentrate private wealth into the hands of an oligarchy.

The collusion of cronies and politicians and their support by bureaucrats and the un-free press isn’t capitalism. Call it whatever you wish, but capitalism, when fully actualized, would lack any of these negative characteristics.

Capitalism is free, equitable, fair, and just and generates wealth for all from the bottom, up, and not from the top, down. In true capitalism, wealth EMERGES from people far from the top and trickles upwardl to reward the most innovative and to provide funding for the public good.

Everyone cannot be a millionaire, but almost everyone in every demographic and community throughout the whole land can and will enjoy opulence and those who fall on hard times or cannot care for themselves will not be left behind.

In capitalism, when we achieve it fully, there is more than enough wealth to ensure that nobody needs to go hungry, lack housing, be unsafe, endure abusive policing, suffer medical crisis that they cannot afford to pay for, lack education, face structural or systemic discrimination, or be left behind due to falling on hard times or not being able to fend for themselves.

Neither cronyist oligarchy nor state controlled economics can even come close to delivering on such a promise. The glory of capitalism is that it alone can deliver its promises and all we have to do is nurture it and get out of its way!

ON SUFFERING AND OUR ETERNAL REWARD

Willem IV- It may be very hard to see, but a loving and all-powerful God leads us down a path we ourselves would choose if we only knew the arc of our entire history and the true nature, scope, and possibilities of our eternal destiny, which is shaped so much by what we do and endure in this short life.

The necessity of these experiences, good and bad, happiness and suffering, pleasure and pain, in terms of our eternal pathway and destiny cannot be fathomed in this life.

God does know what our eternal soul needs and must be shaped and formed by in ways we will not understand until we see Him face to face. If we fix our hearts and gaze on eternity and on our Creator, and if we have faith in His wisdom in plotting our course and experiences, we would see that “all things work together for the good of those who love God and are the called according to His purpose.”

And by “the good” we mean a good that is beyond the temporal, a good that is forever but that cannot be obtained except through the paths He lays before us.

Some may say, “if God was loving, He wouldn’t need to use suffering to shape us in any way!” But you assume that is the way things can be, you do not have faith that “He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

The truth is that suffering “must needs come”, in this life, and God has said it. God cannot lie and God is love. When we realize how truly miniscule this temporal existence is compared to eternity,  when we see how light even the very worse and most horrible affiliation in this life is in comparison to the reward, we may see that we really have zero reasons to complain.

As to suffering, God has endured more than we could barely in the slightest endure or know. If God did not even spare His own Son from suffering, but loved Him and loved us, then how do we say “if God loved us He would not allow ANY suffering?”

I take it as an article of faith that if it was possible to shape us and prepare us for eternity without any suffering, that God would not allow any suffering. Therefore, since He does allow suffering, I take it as a necessity that I being a finite mortal being cannot comprehend.

It SEEMS simple that a God who is all-powerful could create a universe without any suffering. But as God is real and God is a rewarder of those who love Him, and as suffering does exist in this life, but not in eternity, then there is no question to me as to its necessity even if I do not understand WHY it is necessary.

The question I had to resolve as I grappled with this classic question on why suffering was even allowed by a loving God was: is God real and does He reign? Then I asked, “does He love me and His Creation?”

Once I became convinced He was real, that He loves me, which I have felt and seen in ways I cannot present to you or explain, then I saw that if God allows it, then it is good, even if in my finite and mortal being it looks and feels awful.

Watching a loved one die, being faslely accused and ruined financially, being extremely violated in horrible ways, and even being murdered in a terrible and agonizing ordeal, are all things even those who love God suffer in this transient mortal coil, which we shed in due time and which, while it shapes us, is forgotten as it were.

We have to realize that God Himself endures and bears this suffering with all of us. From the gas chambers of the Third Reich to the abusive parents one may endure today, from the victim of rape, to the sufferers of dementia or cancer, God experiences and endures all this Himself with us. He is touched by our every affliction and as bad as it feels, if He did not take it on with us, it would destroy our very soul for eternity.

It may be if we truly had a transcendent view of Creation and of our own existence, we would not even see our suffering in the same way, as something bad and awful, we would see it as something necessary, beneficial, and transfigurative for our eternal souls. It would seem rather like medicine than a “punishment.”

To get out of your own way and to see eternity operating in the here and now is supernatural and transfigurative. It is also possible to those who love God if they seek Him through the Word, through prayer and worship, and through fellowship and counsel with fellow Believers. Alignment of your existence in the day-to-day and how you spend your time with God and His Word begins a process of tearing down the veil between us and our Creator and reveals more and more of who He is and how much He loves us.

If you spend little time in His presence through things like reading the Word, prayer, worship, fellowship, and the mutual counsel of fellow Believers, then it is not a wonder that you struggle with such earthly questions about transient matters that will not matter in your eternity.

Those who dwell in Him do not have all the answers to things we cannot comprehend in this life, but they know His love and can live in that, come what may.

I know the suffering I even now endure, things that cause pain in my flesh, break my human heart, and peirce into my soul, are on a path I myself would have chosen, knowing the price I would pay, to get to where I wanted to be for eternity.

Imagine the person who loves God and experiences some brain ailment, like dementia, alzheimers, or some mental illness like depression or schizophrenia. They endure a period, perhaps years, where they cannot comprehend or interface with reality and it seems they have lost their faith. But this path, even this, they themselves would have chosen to get to their desired eternal destination. This is necessary for their eternal welfare and benefit.

I know that a loving God only allows such things because they are necessary in ways I cannot begin to fathom or explain, though I imagine in my simplistic way that a loving God would never have allowed them. I know He is and He loves me, therefore I know this is a necessity or it wouldn’t exist.

This may not be the answer you want to hear. I can only pray that you come into His presence and experience Him in your inner man, deep in your soul, outside of this temporal reality, outside of time and space itself.  Then you will have a focus on the eternal good instead of the transient things of this short and limited life that will pass quickly.

God is good and He rewards those who love and serve Him in ways that totally outshine any price you pay on the necessary path that leads you to your eternal fate! You either believe this or not, you either enter into His presence or you don’t. But no logical answer from any finite mortal being will satisfy your desire to understand that which it has not been given for us to understand!

Suffering and pain in this life, no matter how powerful and awful, are quite literally a nano-moment compared to eternity and the price we pay in this life, while necessary to shape us, is microscopic in comparison to the reward we gain.

The Concept of Pomerium and Divine Protection

The concept of a sacred boundary is lacking depth of understanding today, and yet this can be so useful to you. A modern application of this ancient concept could change your life.

Truth is truth and it is revealed, for Christians, primarily from the Bible, although it is also seen in many other places. People can have many things wrong in their beliefs and yet also have some grasp of deeper truths. Thus it is with the ancient concepts of place, what the Romans called a “pomerium”, even though in many ways ancient pagan beliefs were fundamentally flawed.

The pomerium for the Romans was a sacred boundary around the city of Rome that rendered the whole a special precinct under the protection of the gods. It was said of Rome, that everything in this pomerium was Rome itself, everything outside was territory (ager) owned by Rome. You did not carry weapons or bury the dead within this pomerium.

We see this concept in ancient Israel, more broadly, and in the Biblical concept of how God ordains the “boundaries of habitation” for the nations. These boundaries are ordained by God, therefore we can extrapolate that a nation whose God is the Lord is blessed only within its God-ordained boundaries. If and when nations extend their rulership beyond those boundaries then to that extent they violate their pomerium, the sacred boundary, and are not under Divine protection outside that boundary.

This concept of pomerium is a sort of sacred geography. The whole earth is divided in God’s eyes a certain way, but mankind has not respected those boundaries and has therefore brought ruin and travail upon itself.

It is also true these boundaries change in God’s eyes, for nations have a set time to exist and are overthrown while new ones are created, all ordained by God. Only within those boundaries can a nation of people be blessed, outside those boundaries they cannot be blessed and the further outside their pomerium they go, the more travail they bring upon themselves.

Conceptually, pomerium is something that we can apply to our lives. As it says in Ecclesiastes, “there is a time and season for everything” and, by extension, a place. Times and seasons and place are the pomerium of our individual and collective lives as human beings: a fact modern man has lost sight of and that brings much suffering upon us all.

To find and know and stay within your individual and shared pomerium is to stay within the realm of God’s protection and provision. Going beyond this is the wilderness, where you do not have Divine favor. Too many people and whole nations dwell in the wilderness and are not witin their own pomerium.

To understand and use this ancient concept one should not take a mechanistic view, e.g. try to define it in a linear fashion or by a legal definition. Pomerium is and should be an inner felt certainty that is not easily defined in dictionary language. To be within your pomerium is not confinement or limitation, because this is a whole universe which you can never fully explore in your lifetime.

While pomerium is conceptually applicable to your own life and being within the Divine pomerium of God’s possibilities for your life, it is also a sacred geography that literally applies to the lands of this earth and how God divides them.

All nations of people, and their kingdoms, have a pomerium in God’s eyes. If they remain within their pomerium and if God is their Lord, then they will experience Divine provision and protection within their pomerium. To the extent these nations of people follow God’s righteous standards in their way of life, from the heart and not merely from laws, and to the extent they stay within their pomerium, they will experience Divine protection and favor.

Nations and kingdoms are often connected in Scripture and in history. But they are neither synonymous nor interdependent. Both are agencies of provision within human civilization as ordained by God, the nation being a spiritual sovereignty and kingdoms being a landed sovereignty. Nations define a shared way of life while kingdoms are a magisterial authority as defined in Romans 13.

The modern nation-state attempts to and claims to merge these two things, but fails. Most nations of people, over 9000 today, do not have a corresponding and exact form of statehood and of the nearly 200 “kingdoms” recognized as political states today, few consist only of one nation of people.

A kingdom and a nation can be closely affiliated, as with the Japanese nation and its kingdom. But an “empire” such as the United States of America contains many diverse nations within its jurisdiction. An empire as we use the term isn’t a form of government but a single unitary, often decentralized, political state consisting often of multiple kingdoms and nations of people within its realm.

The pomerium of nations and of kingdoms and empires, again these terms as we use them are not referring to forms of government, is not the same as or interdependent of the pomerium of nations of people. We know this as a fact of history.

Land is sacred. That is, the boundaries of habitation for nations and the boundaries of the magisterium of kingdoms and empires are ordained by God and not understanding this leads to much harm and conflict. All conflict in this earth, that is all war, is rooted in a lack of understanding of the pomerium and violations thereof.

If all nations and all kingdoms and empires each followed God’s righteous standards for that agency of God’s provision to human civilization and stayed within their pomerium, then we would have peace!

Think then of the realms of kingdoms and the homelands of nations. These are rarely synonymous, some nations have homelands distributed among multiple kingdoms, e.g. the Kurds. Many kingdoms or empires contain multiple nations and homelands within their borders.

Pomerium is not static, neither for kingdoms nor for nations. But at any given moment there is a perfect optimal which, if ever achieved, leads to global peace. One day, in fact, Jesus will physically reign in this earth and He will establish all these pomeriums in perfection: every nation and kingdom will respect and be blessed within its pomerium!

We cannot set ourselves up as judges over these matters! No human agency, such as the UN, no Nimrod 2.0, can delineate or determine these boundaries of habitation (nations) or landed sovereignty (kingdoms).

It is a frustrating, from the human perspective, reality that the understanding and appropriation of God’s truth cannot be grasped in purely mechanist or legalistic terms and that no human authority is a Solo Grandee over such matters. The “milk of the Word” truths of the Gospel and Christian universals of doctrine and basic morality can be so defined, but even here if one merely understands these things in a mechanistic and legalistic manner, one has too limited an understanding of these things.

Concepts such as pomerium, while we can extrapolate them from the Bible and history, are less amenable to such mechanistic definitions than the Christian universals.

This takes us to a specific application on two scores: the redefining of landed sovereignty beyond contiguous territory and the redefining of homelands in the same way. We may be witnesses to a new and more enlightened form of non-territorial statehood through the web and of the reassertion of nationhood as something intentionally adopted by each individual.

These new forms of statehood and nationhood will not necessarily replace the old forms, which are rooted in contiguous territories and blood ancestry. The emergence of non-territorial states and of intentional nations will not displace the old forms any time soon.

To add to the confusion, this does not mean pomerium no longer applies, it means it will apply differently. A non-territorial state may serve diverse nations of people and individuals around the world who may also be part of territorial states and ancestral nations. Likewise, an intentional nation of people may have its members distributed around the world who are also each connected to an ancestral nation and both a territorial and non-territorial state.

For you as an individual there are potentially five primary forms of pomerium: your own individual pomerium, the pomerium of your territorial state, the pomerium of a non-territorial state, the pomerium of your ancestral nation or nations, and the pomerium of an intentional nationhood.

While few people are conscious of any one of these pomeriums, we propose that those who are conscious of and who respect these pomeriums will find much less conflict and far more success and happiness in this life.

Might we we one day live in a world of non-territorial statehood and intentional nationhood? This is not really a question we ask as such. What we envision is that these new forms of kingdoms and nations will emerge and will lead to blessings and provisions being released which have not been released before.

The legal structures and framework for these new entities will also emerge. We generally tend to propose the form of a cryptonation platform as the basis of a non-territorial “empire of liberty” with a virtual-to-local approach coupled with hub communities and intentional networks as a new form of non-territorial statehood. We also generally see the convergence of legal structures such as NGO’s, fraternal benefit societies, and tribal/domestic nation statuses as a new form of intentional nationhood.

The ancestral nation and the territorial state are unlikely to go away any time soon, and we cannot be sure they ever should go away. But their ability to cope with and accommodate these newer forms of statehood and nationhood may be vital to their long-term success.

In the Upadaria project we see the potential for developing a new model and framework, a new bleuprint and architecture, which we define as the makings of a new Christian civilization. This civilization, as it emerges organically from the proclaimation of its ideals and vision, will potentially attract territorial and non-territorial states and both ancestral and intentional nations.

One of the key foundations of this emerging civilization is the intentional application and understanding of the pomerium from a Biblical and historical perspective, but applied to a modern and cyber-connected world in new ways.

This is not new or hidden knowledge. God’s truths are eternal but their application and expression are both diverse and evolving. On one hand, the world is growing more evil and manifesting its final state before judgment. On the other hand, a remnant of people within the Body of Christ who exist within this world right now is growing more in harmony with its ideal and perfect state before the final Return of Christ.

The manifestation, expression, and even understanding of nations and kingdoms has evolved over time. Even within Scripture we see this evolution, as with Israel and the Jewish people from the time of Abraham to the Diaspora after the New Testament.

Even when a pomerium is not just in one contiguous place but is distributed to wherever people within a non-territorial state or an intentional nationhood dwell and gather together here and there, the concept of pomerium remains connected to its eternal definition and application.

Your understanding of YOUR PLACEMENT within any pomerium, as we have described it, sets your own boundaries of habitation within which are endless possibilities and great favor but outside of which you will only find wilderness. We are of the conviction that for every person there is a pomerium which may include all or a few of these things: that of a territorial state of which they are citizens, that of a non-territorial state of which they are also citizens, that of any number of ancestral nations they identify with, and that of a particular intentional nationhood that identify with.

We do not propose that every Christian should be part of our particular manifestation of non-territorial statehood or distributed intentional nationhood. It may be that this is not God’s way for your life! We certainly don’t expect or want people to dishonor or disrespect their territorial statehood or their ancestors.

What we envision is the intentional nested identity of all these things in a way that reflects God’s righteous standards and as pursued by individuals without any form of coercion. This is not about imposing our terms, definitions, and standards but it is about broadcasting them to the world and giving individuals a chance to embrace and utilize them if they choose.

When we consider pomerium we see within this sacred boundary God’s unlimited possibilities and provisions. We see this as a border protected by Angels so that we need fear nothing that can harm our souls. (As to suffering and offenses, it is clear, in this life, we will all suffer such things, but our soul will be safe.)

So if then you own a piece of land and declare it, as God leads, within any pomerium, such as an intentional spiritual nationhood, this boundary is thereby protected by God Himself. This doesn’t mean you secede from the state or stop paying taxes! This is a spiritual boundary, not a political boundary.

As an important aside, the ACTUAL God-ordained pomerium for any kingdom or nation rarely perfectly aligns with a political border. It is good when political borders reflect the true pomerium for a landed sovereignty (kingdom), but we do not mean “political borders” when we speak of pomerium!

If you understand the “boundaries of habitation” for your life and whatever kingdom or nations of this earth God had connected you to, and you can if you seek the Lord, you will not be limited but, rather, liberated!
