Unsmart guns, so-called smart guns, or guns with significant impediments to being assured of reliably utilizing a firearm in self-defense, are set to hit the US market. The unSmart guns have things like digital fingerprint safety features that are intended to assure only the user can fire the weapon, the kind of safety feature you want to rely on when you face a life or death situation.

Jan 11 (Reuters) – Personalized smart guns, which can be fired only by verified users, may finally become available to U.S. consumers after two decades of questions about reliability and concerns they will usher in a new wave of government regulation.
Four-year-old LodeStar Works on Friday unveiled its 9mm smart handgun for shareholders and investors in Boise, Idaho. And a Kansas company, SmartGunz LLC, says law enforcement agents are beta testing its product, a similar but simpler model.
Both companies hope to have a product commercially available this year.

LodeStar co-founder Gareth Glaser said he was inspired after hearing one too many stories about children shot while playing with an unattended gun. Smart guns could stop such tragedies by using technology to authenticate a user’s identity and disable the gun should anyone else try to fire it.
They could also reduce suicides, render lost or stolen guns useless, and offer safety for police officers and jail guards who fear gun grabs.
But attempts to develop smart guns have stalled: Smith & Wesson (SWBI.O) got hit with a boycott, a German company’s product was hacked, and a New Jersey law aimed at promoting smart guns has raised the wrath of defenders of the Second Amendment.
The LodeStar gun, aimed at first-time buyers, would retail for $895.
The test-firing of the LodeStar gun before Reuters cameras has not been reported elsewhere. A range officer fired the weapon, a third-generation prototype, in its different settings without issue.
Glaser acknowledged there will be additional challenges to large-scale manufacturing, but expressed confidence that after years of trial and error the technology was advanced enough and the microelectronics inside the gun are well-protected.
“We finally feel like we’re at the point where … let’s go public,” Glaser said. “We’re there.”
Most early smart gun prototypes used either fingerprint unlocking or radio frequency…

Democrats seeking to curb gun violence face headwinds in the Republican-controlled Florida Legislature. On the flipside, Republican proposals seeking to loosen gun restrictions may also face pushback.
South Florida Democrats took part last week in a virtual roundtable about gun safety legislation. “People often ask whether Congress is doing enough, whether the White House is doing enough, whether our state governments have done enough,” said Congressman Ted Deutch, who hosted the online discussion with local and state leaders as well as activists. “The answer to that question is no, undeniably no. Nobody has done or is doing enough.”
For the 4th year, Sen. Tina Polsky, D-Boca Raton, is trying to pass a law that requires the safe storage of firearms to help keep them away from kids. “I naively thought this should be a fairly easy step to take when I entered the legislature four years ago,” Polsky said. “We’re not taking anyone’s guns — just requiring you to do the responsible thing.”
This CNBC headline and story is an example of deceptively using a news report format to push an opinion, subliminally making the opinion an assumed fact by the naive news reader. The headline attempts to stigmatize GOP “election objectors” to the point of shaming any individual or corporation that might contribute to these American citizens and current members of the United States government.
The headline itself borders on sedition itself, at least in tone, yet uses that tone to attempt to stigmatize questioning a mass-mailer election result to the point of seeking to market assassinate any individual or company that might dare offer capital to support them in the resistance to the anti-American CCP-acolyte, the Democrat National Corporation and all its Silicon Valley ‘allies.’

Since the deadly Jan. 6 riot on Capitol Hill, Republican lawmakers who objected to the results of the 2020 presidential election received over $8 million in campaign donations from corporations and trade groups, according to a new study first shared with CNBC.
More than 140 Republicans in the House and Senate continued to object to the results of the election in which President Joe Biden defeated incumbent President Donald Trump, even after the pro-Trump attack on the Capitol. Trump, who was then the president, urged his supporters at a rally that day to march on Congress as lawmakers were in the process of confirming Biden’s electoral victory.

The study concluded DEI staff are “particularly unwelcoming toward Jewish students,” noting that this attitude may promote antisemitic sentiments at universities.

As is too often the case, when government attempts to create laws to protect government officials, it clashes with the rights of the American people. US District Judge Esther Salas’ son was murdered and her husband wounded when a gunman tracked down her home address and invaded her home, intending to kill her. He later killed himself. As a result, the Judge joined the effort to pass a law called Daniel’s Law, named after her son, The law passed in New Jersey and now the US Congress is considering creating a similar law.
The law makes it illegal to publish private information about public officials, but critics say the law is far too broad and offers far too little carve-outs to allow for basic gatekeeping journalism.

Every parent’s worst fear is losing a child. For U.S. District Judge Esther Salas and her husband, Mark Anderi, that horrific fear was realized on July 19, 2020.
That night, the couple were celebrating the 20th birthday of their son, Daniel, when a gunman posing as a delivery driver rang the doorbell of their New Jersey home. He shot Daniel to death and Anderi three times, wounding him. The gunman, a self-described “anti-feminist lawyer” named Roy Den Hollander, was found dead a day later with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to ABC News, Hollander, who had appeared in Judge Salas’ courtroom months earlier, had compiled a detailed dossier about the judge, her family and other people he wanted to kill, including at least one other judge. Hollander also published an autobiography online, in which he attacked Judge Salas’ ethnicity.
The tragedy motivated Judge Salas to push for passage of “Daniel’s Law,” which makes it a crime to publish the personal information of New Jersey judges and law enforcement officials. The proposal became law in the Garden State in November — and a similar proposal is making its way through Congress.
Twitter has decided to suspend companies on Twitter that post quotes from American politicians if Twitter decides that particular opinion falls under the Orwellian category of “misinformation.” The company was a media company named Grabien, whose Twitter account quoted a US congressmember who stated, “Big Pharma Won’t Consider Therapeutics Like HCQ or Ivermectin Because of Economic Interests.”

Media company Grabien was reportedly suspended on Twitter after it posted a quote from a congressman.
Grabien shared comments from Rep. Biggs about COVID-19 treatments.
“Rep. Biggs: Big Pharma Won’t Consider Therapeutics Like HCQ or Ivermectin Because of Economic Interests,” the tweet that led to the ban read, with a link to a video of Bigg’s comments.
Twitter allegedly told Grabien that its account had been suspended for “violating the policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19.”
Grabien founder Tom Elliott said the ban was “next-level Twitter absurdity.”
“Obviously, in this case, quoting an elected leader on an issue that matters to everyone is important and newsworthy, regardless of whether you agree,” he added. “(And I can’t help but add that his basic point was once mainstream among progressives.)”
Elliot said he appealed the decision but does not expect much.

After the Alaskan City of Anchorage passed an ordinance that would force women’s shelters to allow transgendered women to be given access, a Federal court has recently ruled that the shelter, a faith-based shelter, should not be compelled by the law to take in transgendered women.
The outcome is the result of an ongoing battle between the city and the Downtown Hope Center, which began when an inebriated and violent male was seeking to gain access to the women’s shelter by claiming to be a transgendered woman, or so the Center claims. From there, the city fought a legal battle which led to the city having to pay a $100k fine. After that, they passed an ordinance disallowing gender-specific shelters. This is the law that the federal court shut down.
Judge Rules Anchorage Women’s Shelter Can Remain A Women’s Shelter

A federal court ruled on Monday that a faith-based women’s shelter in Anchorage, Alaska, was allowed to remain open exclusively for women after the city passed an ordinance to mandate otherwise.
The Downtown Hope Center sued the city in 2018 when officials sought legal retribution against the charity over its refusal to allow an inebriated and injured biological man who identified as a woman to sleep at its facility alongside homeless women. The shelter referred the man to a hospital instead where he was sent in a taxi paid for by the group.
A complaint was later filed with the Anchorage Equal Rights Commission and pursued by the city before a preliminary injunction in the shelter’s favor led to a settlement that forced the municipality to pay the charity $100,001 in fees. The Anchorage Assembly then opted to change a local ordinance to erase gender-exclusive shelters, which provoked the ongoing litigation.
Apparently, Campbell Union High School District has gone full DNC Inc Social Justice, or CRT, as it’s become known as today. The school district is offering students online resources that include learning how to curse people who use the phrase “All Lives Matter.”
The underlying assumption of the whole ‘philosophy’ seems to be something like this, white people invented racism and bigotry, especially the white men, but really all men, especially all cis-gendered people, but really all cis-gendered people, especially heterosexuals, but really all heterosexuals, leaving, really the vast majority of humanity responsible for inventing racism and bigotry, and really evil in general, just inventors of evil.
It’s a concept that seems thought up by the most hateful of children, but, unfortunately, these puerile thinkers are the ones in charge, and they’re transferring this hatred of self, hatred of family, hatred of parents, hatred of nation, to innocent children, many of which will suffer psychological harms that will take decades to heal.
This philosophy teaches that a certain race invented evil and the very ideas of that race itself, the very culture, the very ethos, the very religions, that come from that evil inventing race must be eradicated from the earth. Any talk of such things is enough to get one removed from society, banished to the pit of hell.
It tells this race that you must kill your culture, but not appropriate other cultures, and thus, what more can you do but stop producing and simply lay down your life for the sins of the world? It makes the race it targets the hope of the salvation of the world even as it condemns it, making it a dialectical supremacism of the very race the philosophy imagines it is seeking to end.
The Jews became the ‘savior’ of the Germans by the very vilification and the false narrative that the Jew must die so the German might live. Here, the White must die so the POC might live, a pretty close parallel not uncommon in general when scapegoat ideologies take root (which is what both Nazism and this DNC version of Social Justice have in common). The power resides in the necessity to eradicate an internal threat from within. The scapegoat becomes the eater of sin and is cast off, but some are slaughtered.
So long as we continue to allow this anti-American, anti-Bill-of-rights, anti-human, anti-liberty ideology to continue to corrupt our institutions and the minds of our people, especially our children, the light of freedom dies, but in that process, more and more Americans, of all races and beliefs and preferences across the board are coming to see the powerful unity usefulness of our Bill of Rights in affording space, public space, for we of diverse peoples to share value with one another and have one unity story in common, the story of the Bill of Rights overcoming the hypocrisy of humans unwilling to fully apply these standards across these lands for all peoples.
Then, the light will shine brightly and people will peacefully restore lady liberty, the Bill of Rights, as the only Queen, the only shared ruler in this pluralistic, diverse land, and we Americans will find one another and build amongst one another the America unshackled by the fears and hubris of humankind.

While documenting my former high school’s attempt to indoctrinate me with critical race theory six years ago, I remarked that now, several years later, “the situation has undoubtedly worsened.” Worsened it has. Now, Campbell Union High School District has promoted more than 100 “equity resources” to students and staff, including a document that taught students how to put a curse on those who say “all lives matter.”
The page serves as a vast library for CRT resources and features 60 different links, including a Google Drive folder with 45 different documents. The list made sure to include the full range of CRT buzzwords, with links like Raising Race Conscious Children, the infamous 1619 Project, Anti-Racism for Beginners, and Social Identities and Systems of Oppression, among others.
One link takes you to an “Anti-Racism Resource List,” which teaches about “white fragility” and claims that racism can only be perpetrated by white people. One of the “resources” provided was a Trevor Noah speech labeled “Why rioting makes sense,” followed by an unhinged anti-white rant from Sonya Renee Taylor, demanding that white people “throw your white body” on police officers and “put their bodies on the line for the purpose of justice.”
Another DNC-appointed Judge is failing to recognize even basic constitutional rights, this time, it’s the very right to property itself, in the form of your own person not being forced to take a vaccine.
The Judge makes the usual argument that it’s safety over freedom and we’re probably all gonna die from covid if we don’t surrender all our sovereignty to the state, or words to that effect. The Judge in question is Judge John Z. Lee, a Federal District Judge of Northern Illinois.

A federal judge has explained he recently refused to block the Illinois governor and Chicago mayor from forcing COVID-19 vaccinations upon Chicago city workers, saying the workers’ evidence against the value of vaccines was “slim” and the city’s evidence in favor was “substantial.”Judge John Z. Lee, of U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, issued the explanation Nov. 24, declaring the workers “do not have a fundamental constitutional right to refuse COVID-19 vaccinations.”
On Oct. 21, a group of employees of Chicago’s fire, water and transportation departments asked Lee to stop Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Mayor Lori Lightfoot from ordering them to be vaccinated and tested for COVID-19 or risk losing their jobs. The workers claim the mandate trespasses on their rights to bodily autonomy.

The suspect fatally shot was 40-year-old Jeffery Flowers, according to Anderson Police.
“Neighbors had videos of him parking in front of the residence and looking through windows, ultimately breaking through the door and pulling a weapon out,” said Madison County Prosecutor Rodney Cummings. “There was audio, and you could hear what he was saying inside. He said, ‘It’s the police.’ He was claiming to be a police officer, but he had a mask on,” via Fox 59.
Police say the homeowner, after retreating upstairs, fatally shot Flowers; the suspect was found dead in a bedroom by the time police arrived.
