Be Careful Of Your Sources

In the last week or so, many people have been sharing images of what they feel are alarming amounts of military air traffic culled from various online tracking websites, purporting to show a “highly unusual” increase in air traffic throughout the Middle East and the eastern Mediterranean (a.k.a., “The Levant”).

For those who are exploring a new landscape on the internet, such as aircraft and ship tracking websites, these images can, in fact, look incredible. Most of the online maps are indeed very cluttered, to such an extent that many computers have a hard time keeping up with the running updates, unless a user “drills down” to a very narrow region.

And to be fair, given the recent events within the region, with terrorist massacres in Israel, leading to brutal counterattacks by Israel, and the hysterical responses from throughout not just the region, but the threat of this new “Yom Kippur War” expanding to include most of the region – something that the few sane leaders of the world ‘body politic’ is desperate to prevent – is certainly making many people terrified of anything new and strange, that is presented with either incomplete, or flat-out wrong context, deliberately or otherwise.

The short answer to the “unusual increase” in aircraft activity in the Middle East is that it is a giant “nothingburger.” The long answer is far more mundane…but not so the reason behind it.

The fact is that Israel has severely neglected its defenses, both internal and external, for at least twenty years. Externally, Israel fell into the complacency trap of “Victory Disease” (the laziness and complacency resulting from too many victories), in that it felt that its “Iron Dome” missile defense system was mostly unbeatable, while its more conventional forces could easily handle anything that “Iron Dome” could not.

Internally, this dangerous complacency was compounded by Israel’s disastrous moves, beginning in 2012, to restrict the ability of Israeli citizens not on military or police duty, to owning or possessing military style firearms.

And on October 7, 2023, Israel and its citizens were given a stark wake up call as to why you should never beat your swords into plowshares before the right time.

As a result, Israel suddenly found itself in a desperate, grueling and bloody war against an implacable and bloodthirsty enemy at one end of its country, while facing another potential – and much more dangerous – foe to their north. While this is certainly not an unusual circumstance for Israel, Israel the state, as well as Israeli citizens, now finds itself being rudely forced to reorient its mental perspective on reality.

All-out war, as should be clear to anyone who has read an article on the Russo-Ukrainian War in the last almost two years, consumes people, ammunition, vehicles and supplies at a ferocious rate. While the scale and pace of the war in Israel may not currently be at the same overall scale as what is happening in Ukraine, when adjusted for scale, Israel is not much better off than Ukrainians.

In answer, the United States – long Israel’s only truly reliable ally – has doubled down on US support to Israel in the current conflict, complete with sending two complete carrier battle groups to the region, potentially committing US forces to direct combat in the conflict.

And fears of a widening of the conflict have already been realized, as the USS Carney, an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, has shot down multiple missiles launched by Houthi insurgents from their base areas in Yemen.

Obviously, no matter the Reader’s feelings – one way or another – about the current conflict, the United States has to supply Israel with weapons, ammunition and much else, exactly as it has for Ukraine. Normally, such supplies are sent by ship, and then by rail or road. The reason is simple: it is vastly more efficient than air transport.

Sometimes, however, speed is essential. Relatively small and light supplies, like ammunition and medical supplies, can be rushed to a conflict zone relatively quickly, as these are always the most critical supplies that would be needed early on in a conflict. In the case of any sudden uptick of military air traffic, however, there is currently another factor:

Volcanoes.

In 2010, a series of volcanic eruptions from the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland in April of that year completely shut down all air traffic in Europe outside of Spain and a tiny portion of France. That was, obviously, a very annoying situation for many travelers, as it up-ended flights throughout the world.

Now, however, another Icelandic volcano threatens to erupt: the Blue Lagoon thermal spa, long a popular tourist destination, is threatening to erupt.

Military planners, already struggling to juggle the delivery of supplies to multiple active and potential combat areas, now have no choice but add the potential of a natural disaster shutting down European airspace for an unknown period. The only real option is to start drawing supplies from existing bases in the region, and sending those to Israel…by air.

At the same time, however, those supply bases will need to be restocked, and fast, given the potential for regional escalation. This problem can be solved via a surge in sending war materials and equipment to those bases via conventional shipping…that seems to be happening.

The Ready Reserve Force ship MV Cape Orlando is currently underway from Tacoma, WA, crossing the Pacific Ocean. The Cape Orlando, originally berthed in Oakland, was actually boarded by pro-Palestinian protesters on November 4th, delaying its departure for Tacoma. (The protestors were not charged.)

While the MV Orlando is certainly the most public of the ships potentially carrying supplies to the combat area, it is also certainly not the only one.

What is happening is clear: a giant “shell game” is underway, with supplies being shuffled as quickly as possible, to cover as many holes as have been left open by shockingly poor military policies by the West and its allies over the preceding c.30 years…But such circumstances cannot endure forever.

MSM Journalists Knew of Looming Hamas Terror Assault, They Filmed It Anyway

The death cult known as Hamas (which, in Hebrew, appropriately means violence) has the Mainstream media not only as its content market machine, but also as its co-conspirator in crime. Journalists embedded with Hamas during the October 7 terror assault that resulted in women, children, and infants being slaughtered knew what was going to happen and did nothing to inform the Israelis their citizens were about to be murdered.

On October 7, Hamas terrorists were not the only ones who documented the war crimes they had committed during their deadly rampage across southern Israel. Some of their atrocities were captured by Gaza-based photojournalists working for the Associated Press and Reuters news agencies whose early morning presence at the breached border area raises serious ethical questions.

What were they doing there so early on what would ordinarily have been a quiet Saturday morning? Was it coordinated with Hamas? Did the respectable wire services, which published their photos, approve of their presence inside enemy territory, together with the terrorist infiltrators? Did the photojournalists who freelance for other media, like CNN and The New York Times, notify these outlets? Judging from the pictures of lynching, kidnapping and storming of an Israeli kibbutz, it seems like the border has been breached not only physically, but also journalistically.

Four names appear on AP’s photo credits from the Israel-Gaza border area on October 7: Hassan Eslaiah, Yousef Masoud, Ali Mahmud, and Hatem Ali.

Eslaiah, a freelancer who also works for CNN, crossed into Israel, took photos of a burning Israeli tank, and then captured infiltrators entering Kibbutz Kfar Azza.

… Let’s be clear: News agencies may claim that these people were just doing their job. Documenting war crimes, unfortunately, may be part of it. But it’s not that simple.

It is now obvious that Hamas had planned its October 7 attack on Israel for a very long time: its scale, its brutal aims and its massive documentation have been prepared for months, if not years. Everything was taken into account — the deployments, the timing, as well as the use of bodycams and mobile phone videos for sharing the atrocities.

Is it conceivable to assume that “journalists” just happened to appear early in the morning at the border without prior coordination with the terrorists? Or were they part of the plan?

And why would Hamas want their atrocities documented other than for the same reason serial killers keep evidence of their crimes close to their hearts? It was for the trophies, it was for the bragging rights that those who slaughtered infants and children would gain from their fellow cultists, and the MSM journalists knew this, were complicit in this, and have now made themselves justified targets by Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, for righteous retribution after participating in the murders themselves and failing to warn the innocents of the death that was coming their way.

Whatever Israel has done that is not just it in no way, shape, or form justifies what Hamas did on October 7 in the name of their pedophilic god, Allah, and it certainly doesn’t justify mainstream media’s willing participation in this slaughter.

Every day these same content marketing death machines assault the world with psychological terrorism that serves their pedophilic god, the rainbow-colorist god of the DNC-CCP, here, they just murdered people directly as opposed to indirectly, doing what they do best, spreading hate and fear into the hearts of their readers.

Michigan Town Fires CCP-Serving Board

A small town in Michigan has given the CCP-bought township board the boot following its continued commitment to allow the CCP to build a battery plant in the town under the condition that it must adhere to the standards of the Chinese Communist Party. The town is called Green Township and it just recalled and replaced 5 of its 7 board members, after 2 had already resigned, leaving none of the CCP-supporting seditionists in positions of power in the town.

The board had voted unanimously in 2020 to approve the building of the battery plant under the auspices of Gotion, a Silicon-Valley-based company whose parent company is owned by the Chinese Communist Party. The vote received an immediate backlash, one that has been ignored, until now.

While opposition steadily grew, the board chose to ignore residents’ concerns, but eventually the pressure was too much for at least two of the board members resigned rather than continue to face the backlash. Following their resignation, the community produced enough signatures to trigger a recall election, with every single board member voted out.

While the spread of communism may sound far-fetched, corporate documents explicitly require Gotion to “set up a party organization and carry out party activities in accordance with the constitution of the Communist Party of China” and “ensure necessary conditions for carrying out party activities.”

“China is our number-one enemy!” one angry resident yelled at a board meeting last spring.

“My family members fought communism, and you’re bringing it right here,” said another.

Over the past several months, Green Charter residents amassed enough signatures to force a recall election for board members, who otherwise would face re-election in 2024.

Tensions between board members and residents reached such a peak this year that two board members, James Peek and Gary Todd, already resigned their positions. On Tuesday, more than 1,000 Green Charter residents showed up to cast their ballots to oust the other five: Trustees Dale Jernstadt and Roger Carroll; Clerk Janet Clark; Treasurer Denise MacFarlane; and Supervisor James Chapman.

Jason Kruse defeated Chapman with a whopping 60% of the vote, and Jeff Thorne defeated Jernstadt with 62%. By comparison, Kelly Cushway’s 57% victory over Carroll looks relatively close. Corri Riebow beat Clark for the clerk position with 53%, and Robert Henderson also received 53% to beat MacFarlane for the treasurer spot.

Bill Stanek, the supervisor of nearby Big Rapids Township, also lost a recall vote to challenger Carman Bean.

What the board members of this small town attempted to do to their citizens, selling them out in exchange for CCP cash, is going on right now across our country, from the highest level of office, starting with the King of foreign cash grift himself, Joe Biden, on down to many other local boards, including school boards, willing to take cash for CCP influence over the American people.

Our nation is filled with CCP employees disguised as American politicians, and it’s a problem endemic throughout both major political parties.

Abortion Wins!

Abortion wins in big showdowns in Ohio, where an amendment to the state constitution making abortion legal up to birth, in Kentucky when a pro-abortion Democrat governor won re-election in a red state, and Virginia’s State House turns blue over the abortion debate. “Americans” have chosen murdering unborn children over the republic. Last night the nation declared it was not repentant and would continue to worship Moloch over the Lord.

Two other elections of note include two Mayors’ races, one in Bridgeport Connecticut that appears to offer little resolution after a ballot-stuffing controversy surfaced in the Democratic Primary the week before the election. The other Mayor’s race of note involved Sheila Jackson-Lee’s Houston Mayoral run where a run-off election will need to be run to settle the final winner.

To top it all off, Virginia has elected the first trans person, Danica Roem to their State Senate.

Conservative Group Gets IRS Tax Audit After Exposing Senator Who Called on Them to Be Audited

The American Accountability Foundation has been served notice by the revolutionary-infested IRS that it will face a lawfare assault by the administration in the form of a tax audit for daring to oppose the death cult’s agenda. The Foundation has exposed a number of Biden’s anti-American, racist, heterophobic, anti-human violent revolutionary nominees and exposed emails by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R) to pressure the IRS to target more DNC-CCP opposition for lawfare assaults, including calls to attack this very organization.

“Senator Whitehouse has repeatedly called for the IRS to investigate AAF—by name,” AAF President Tom Jones told The Daily Signal in an emailed statement Monday. “Attacking groups like ours has been a priority for Senator Whitehouse and it appears the Biden admin has heeded his calls.”

“We’re auditing your organization’s Form 990 for the tax year ended December 31, 2021,” an IRS revenue agent wrote in a Sept. 14 letter to AAF. The organization provided a copy of the letter to The Daily Signal.

The IRS insisted it does not launch audits for partisan reasons. A spokesman said he could not confirm the audit.

“Under the federal tax law, federal employees can neither confirm nor deny that a particular organization is or is not being audited,” IRS spokesman Anthony Burke told The Daily Signal in a phone interview Monday. “We’re precluded from disclosing tax return information.”

While the sheep of this country indoctrinated into the cult of death that is the DNC-CCP’s agenda cheer this violent action on, little do they realize they have signed up for a club that they can never be members of good standing with unless they sit on the very top of their murderous pyramid scheme Today it might be “conservatives,” the perceived enemies of these sheep, but tomorrow it will be the sheep themselves who cheered on the expansion of government power to chill dissent through lawfare, not realizing one day that same murder machine would one day bring them down as well.

Hezbollah to Get Weapons Upgrade from Russia, Wagner Group

U.S. Intelligence is claiming the Assad regime of Syria has agreed to deliver weapons to Hezbollah from Russia, with Wagner Group assisting in teaching Hezbollah how to use the weapons systems. These systems include Russia’s SA-22 missile system, an air defense system that could threaten Israeli jets. The U.S. has warned Russia, Iran, and anyone who cares to listen, they will intervene on behalf of Israel should these nations choose to attack Israel while it deals with Hamas.

This could bring about a dramatic escalation of the conflict and threaten to bring the U.S more directly into the fight, however, the U.S. asserts Iran, which is becoming a proxy for Russia and China, is not interested in having this fight escalate to a wider regional war, rather they are interested in manipulating their proxies to destabilize Irael while it fights Hamas.

From cnn.com: The US intelligence community believes – for now – that Iran and its proxies are calibrating their response to Israel’s military intervention in Gaza to avoid direct conflict with Israel or the US while still exacting costs on its adversaries.

But the US is also keenly aware that Iran does not maintain perfect control of its umbrella of proxies – in particular over Lebanese Hezbollah, the largest and most capable of the various groups. Hezbollah is an ally of Hamas, the group that attacked Israel on October 7, and has long positioned itself as fighting against Israel. US officials are deeply concerned that the group’s internal politics may cause Hezbollah to escalate simmering tensions.

The US also does not always have perfect visibility into the communications between Iran and its various proxies, according to sources familiar with US intelligence in the region.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, did not deliver the decisive declaration of war against Irael the Palestinians were hoping for.

From Newsweek: Nasrallah touted Hezbollah’s current involvement in the conflict, saying his group had joined the war on October 8. He largely renewed warnings to the United States and Israel that the group’s lower-level leaders had already made. He also called for a ceasefire in Gaza and reiterated Hezbollah’s support for Hamas and the Palestinian people.

“The depth of the disappointment for those who want Hezbollah to do more against Israel is a reflection of the height of anticipation leading up to Nasrallah’s speech. For them, Nasrallah’s speech failed to deliver,” said Firas Maksad, a senior fellow and director of outreach at the Middle East Institute.

Maksad told Newsweek that Nasrallah simply outlined what the group was already doing to divert Israel’s military resources away from Gaza and toward Lebanon. The Lebanese group’s leader also said that Hezbollah and Iran had no role in planning or foreknowledge of Hamas’ attack on Israel, as Iran and lower-level Hezbollah leaders have previously said.

Still, the moment an Israeli jet is shot down by a Russian air defense system, the risk of escalation is very real, whether anyone wants it or not.

No, They’re Not Drafting People…Yet

A funny thing happened on the first of November of 2023. A few hundred (ultimately, up to eight hundred) Non-Commissioned Officers in the active duty US Army were stunned when they received orders, via email, to report – within a week – to a school none of them were expecting to attend: the Army’s recruiting school at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

This order, coming with no warning, is up-ending hundreds of enlisted families as there is little time to reorder the lives of married NCO’s. Compounding the problem, none of the soldiers ordered to the school knows where they will be assigned, leading to extreme uncertainty on where their new posting will be, as active duty recruiters are spread out across the country. This is guaranteed to strain relationships to the breaking point, compounding an already high divorce rate within the service.

As we reported previously, the harsh realities of the third decade of the 21st Century have caused not only the US Congress, but also the Defense Department, to begin discussing an idea that would have been unthinkable just ten years ago: the reinstatement of conscription, i.e., the Draft – and not simply the draft of the old days, which was male-only, but a draft which would almost certainly apply equally to women.

Needless to say, the sudden nature of the Army’s move has added fuel to the strident denunciations of the very idea by “Gen-Z” and their “Millennial” parents…And the Army’s move on the 1st of November is elevating the hysteria.

For the troops, it’s not so much that the recruiting school itself is overly difficult. It is the fact that most recruiters only volunteer for the duty reluctantly, as their usual alternative is a tour as a drill instructor, something that many NCO’s dread. This is because there has always been a stigma to the duty, dating from at least the official end of the draft in 1973, in that failing to meet assigned quotas of recruits can seriously damage the continuing career prospects of the recruiter. Recruiters are usually long serving NCO’s, with ten to twelve years in the service when they enter the recruiting school; this means that they have seriously committed to the idea of twenty to twenty-five years of service, in order to retire with a reasonable pension. That continued career, however, could be seriously damaged by a failed tour as a recruiter.

The reality, despite Gen-Z’s hysteria, is that the Army’s move has come – officially – as an unexpected result of recruiters and possible recruiter candidates leaving the service at an unexpectedly high rate. Functionally, sending an emergency draft of NCO’s to school to become recruiters – whether they want to be or not – is not a preparation for a reinstatement of conscription.

As we discussed previously, the military’s recruiting woes, where all of the military services except the Marine Corps and the Space Force, are missing their recruiting targets, are made worse when taking into account the comparatively small size of the Marine Corps and Space Force in contrast to the other services. The effects of badly managed “forever wars” and conflicts for over twenty years, coupled to other astoundingly bad decisions, have left the majority of the US population severely disinclined to support enlistment in general.

Obviously, the resulting falling recruitment numbers have left the US military, as a whole, in a dangerous situation, as mounting threats – from Ukraine and Israel, to Iran and China – equate to the likelihood that the United States may well find itself in a very large war – or two…or three – sooner than later. And, after spending some twenty years laser focused (albeit with a very smudged lens) on fighting insurgencies, the armed forces got a stark wake-up call from the Russo-Ukrainian War on casualty rates in large scale combat, to the point that the Army is desperately trying to relearn the flawed strategies of the 1970’s and 80’s, all while missing the mark in spectacularly catastrophic ways, that would be funny, if their effects were negligible…which they are not.

Having stated the above, while the Army’s sudden orders are not a herald of a return to conscription in and of themselves, there is are a pair of outlying possibilities, that it could signal a middle ground” move, neutralizing a flawed medical screening system that has slashed the number of recruits by upwards of 25%. The return of medical waivers for volunteers for minor conditions dating from as long as a decade prior, would be seen as a solid move to increase recruit intakes. Of course, such a move would also open the way to waive medical issues for potential draftees.

Secondly, this move could signal actual preparation for renewed conscription laws, where recruiters could be assigned secondary duties to process a new wave of draftees. As we implied previously, a reintroduction of a Draft for Gen-Z and/or some Millennial’s would almost certainly spark a wave of draft dodging and draft riots on a scale that would make those of the Civil War era pale in comparison.

And, of course, a third possibility is hanging in the air, namely, the idea of offering bounties and legal amnesty via recruitment to those “military age males” currently flooding across the southern border of the United States…

…However, considering how armed forces frequently act in their countries origin, this may well be more of a curse than a benefit.

Trump Calls Chutkan’s Bluff on Violently Unconstitutional Gag Order

On Sunday, Lawfare Assassin foreign-born DNC-CCP Judge Chutkan reinstated the gag order, but in a limited sense, ordering Trump to not make “public comments targeting prosecutors, court staff and potential witnesses,” despite the fact that the DNC-serving prosecutors and many of the potential witnesses are direct political opponents to Trump’s 2024 Presidential runs.

While prosecutors wanted Trump thrown in jail, Chutkan chose not to do that as she rightly fears the backlash that would cause across the country as half or more of American citizens would rightly interpret such a move as a clear sign the Federal government is a direct enemy to their American rights and values in an existential sense of that term. Trump for his part is all-but pledging to defy the order, saying of it that “It will not stand.”

Trump stated, “I have just learned that the very Biased, Trump-Hating Judge in D.C., who should have RECUSED herself due to her blatant and open loathing of your favorite President, ME, has reimposed a GAG ORDER which will put me at a disadvantage against my prosecutorial and political opponents This order, according to many legal scholars, is unthinkable! It illegally and unconstitutionally takes away my First Amendment Right of Free Speech, in the middle of my campaign for President, where I am leading against BOTH Parties in the Polls. Few can believe this is happening, but I will appeal. How can they tell the leading candidate that he, and only he, is seriously restricted from campaigning in a free and open manner? It will not stand!”

It is becoming more and more evident that the DNC-CCP will stop at almost nothing they feel they can get away with to bury any opposition to fulfil the promise first made by then President-elect Obama, who claimed upon his accession to power he would “fundamentally transform” America, a seditious statement in and of itself that should have gotten him arrested and sent to Guantanamo Bay along with the other terrorists seeking to murder their way to power at the expense of our liberty-loving republic.

White House Moves to Mold A.I in its Anti-American Image

The Biden White House will use the King’s decree, an Executive Order, to attempt to mold AI in its dark, anti-American, anti-human image, announcing plans to create a sweeping executive order that will bypass the legislative process, giving, ostensibly, a demented old man the power to dictate to the country the terms of its AI use.

The order is justified by White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients, who reveals his anti-Americanism in his very speech. He said “Given the pace of this technology, we can’t move in normal government or private-sector pace, we have to move fast, really fast – ideally faster than the technology itself. You have to continue to be proactive, anticipate where things are headed, continue to act fast and pull every lever we can.”

Normal government pace is the standard of our constitutional republic, which this White House is working diligently to destroy. Whether it’s fear of the white race, or man-made climate change, or, now AI, the White House will trot out any monster it can to terrorize Americans to fear so much for their safety they’re willing to surrender their American constitutional liberty to the demagogues behind the manipulation of reality that led them to that fear in the first place.

To be sure, God will use this regime in part to check some aspects of AI that should be checked. No matter how hard Satan and those who knowingly or unknowingly follow his agenda (to lead humanity to suicide), God will turn what they meant for evil into good. So not all aspects of whatever this god-like executive order contains will even be opposed by this writer, or, I would wager, you, the American reader.

Still, one must be vigilant not to be conformed to this world, not to be conditioned to accept the precedent this executive order hopes to create, empowering the President to create legislation without going through congress as our Constitution demands, thus undermining the Constitution’s actual power in the minds of anyone that blindly cedes such power to this demented old man in the name of fear.

The executive order, which Biden will unveil at an event Monday, is sweeping in scope. It will require developers of powerful AI systems to share results of their safety tests with the federal government before they are released to the public.

If an AI model being developed poses national security, economic or health risks, the order will compel companies to notify the federal government under the Defense Production Act.

The action will also ease immigration barriers for workers skilled in critical areas of AI to study and stay in the US; establish standards to prevent AI production of dangerous biological materials; and develop best practices to minimize the risk of AI displacing human workers.

The order aims to prevent AI-related fraud by directing the Commerce Department to develop guidance for watermarking AI-generated content.

And it will spell out government use of AI, including standards for safety but also measures to help agencies acquire new technology that could increase efficiency or cut costs.

It should be noted that nowhere does the writer of this article even raise the flag on how dangerous it is to leave such a critical issue as how a nation is to govern such a powerful tool, that is as dangerous as it is filled with opportunity, in the pen of one doddering old man, or any one person, in an action that, if the American people accept it, kills the letter and spirit of our constitution.

The GOP-led House should, at the very least, pass resolutions declaring this action to be an overt violation of the Rule of Law, and for that reason alone should immediately impeach this President and any official connected to it that congress has the power to impeach.

The far-left has proven they are willing to build their hateful ideology into every institution they can, and AI will be no different. They hope to control this tool to control resistance to the Satanic cause they serve, the elimination of the human species from the face of the planet, even if they don’t fully, or even remotely, understand or believe they are doing.

The American Foreign Legion – Revisited

Over a year ago, we discussed the possibility of an “American Foreign Legion”. This was a hypothetical idea, based on most of the US Armed Forces’ continual failure to meet their recruitment targets. Tangentially, about a month prior to this article, we discussed a possible “deep plan” (an idea that, admittedly, verged into raw “conspiracy theory”) that the disaster at the border, specifically in allowing ‘unfettered’ access to the nation for tens of thousands of “military-age males”, potentially allowing in a hostile army, an army that could be used for nefarious purposes against Americans in general, not simply that percentage of the population that is armed and very unhappy with the status quo in Washington, DC.

But – what if there is something else going on?

In writing that article this past September, there was a wrinkle that kept bothering this author, namely, that while the numbers of unaccompanied males entering the country was indeed dangerously large, it was not large enough to actually be a significant threat to the supposed target, that being those unhappy gun owners.

Something, some other point, was missing.

But then, a funny thing happened: Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, and the most likely contender for the Republican nomination for President in 2024, stated “categorically” that he would round up and deport every person currently being allowed over the border…

However, this doesn’t make a great deal of sense: how could such a thing be accomplished? Leaving aside the fact that such a program would certainly be fought tooth and nail at every step in Congress and the Courts, the problem is similar to “confiscating guns”: With no registry of firearms, police officers would have to raid and search every single building in the United States, to effectively “confiscate” privately-held firearms. Even assuming that absolutely no resistance to such a thing would occur – a notion that is, quite literally, “whistling past the graveyard” – there are simply not enough law enforcement officers available to conduct those searches. The idea is ludicrous.

But not when it comes to the flood of “migrants” crossing the border. The reason is that those crossing the line, while largely vanishing into the masses of large cities, are in fact on the radar of various agencies of the Federal government, not least because the governors of Texas and Florida are not doing all of the busing of those migrants to cities like Chicago and New York City. And this is over and above the “CBP One” app those migrants carrying smartphones are encouraged to place onto their phones. Those carrying such apps on their devices are loading tracking software that gives them a level of legitimacy to then file for status as refugees entitled to economic support with state and local agencies.

Assuming that Donald Trump were to win in 2024, and would attempt to make good on his campaign promise to deport illegal migrants, and, given the certain resistance to such an attempt, if presented with an option to “negotiate a middle ground”, would Donald Trump do so?

Given both the nature of his character, and factors we will look at below, such a negotiation is almost a given.

What is this “middle ground” approach? Simply put – join an “American Foreign Legion”, or face immediate arrest and deportation.

This is not idle speculation. In Issue 3 of Volume 53 of Parameters, the magazine of the US Army War College, there is an article from August of 2023, “A Call to Action: Lessons from Ukraine for the Future Force”, discussing the need to seriously rethink the Draft. Strident calls from the mainstream press’ gatekeepers to the contrary, this article is blunt, to the point that it is worth quoting:

“…These numbers cannot fill the existing gaps in the active force, let alone
any casualty replacement or expansion during a large-scale combat operation.
The implication is that the 1970s concept of an all-volunteer force has outlived
its shelf life and does not align with the current operating environment.
The technological revolution described below suggests this force has reached
obsolescence. Large-scale combat operations troop requirements may well
require a reconceptualization of the 1970s and 1980s volunteer force and
a move toward partial conscription.16…”

It is that superscript note that presents an issue, as at press-time, the referenced article, “Was Fifty Years Long Enough? The All-Volunteer Force in an Era of Large-Scale Combat Operations”, by Kent Park, is not available for review.

This is a direct and pointed statement that the US Armed Forces need to consider the likelihood that the government will have to resort to a new Draft to meet it’s operations needs.

But – why?

Simply put, both “Millennial’s” and “Gen-Z” have little interest in volunteering for military, despite eye-watering bonuses of up to $75,000, over and above issues such as chronic obesity and a medical screening process that eliminates up to 25% of potential recruits who do volunteer. Bland platitudes from military managers wearing stars to the contrary, this is situation is very likely to persist.

And yet – for good or ill, the United States needs to keep recruits flowing into its units…And a “negotiated solution” to the illegal immigrant crisis is a very attractive answer.

Speaking strictly hypothetically, such a force would be easily and quickly fielded. All that would be necessary would be deploying fingerprint scanners to recruiting offices, to verify whether the illegal immigrant had been arrested while in the United States before that point. If not, the illegal immigrant could be offered a minimal cash bounty for enlisting, considerably less than those currently being offered to citizens born here, along with a guarantee of amnesty and legitimized citizenship after a minimum of four years’ service.

This is a very attractive prospect to someone coming from a culture that respects and/or fears soldiers, and which neatly sidesteps the problem of a large percentage of bitter and bluntly un-patriotic teens and twenty-something’s who would absolutely not report to a Draft board if faced with the prospect…

…It’s almost as if it were a planned operation.
