Almost Half a Mil in Fines and Jail for WWII Panther Tank Collector

A retired 84 Year old German man has ended his national trial facing jail time and nearly half a million dollars in fines.  His fines and jail sentence come from his collection of World War Two memorabilia, which seemed to focus on high-powered artillery.  That included a German Panther Tank, an Anti-Aircraft Gun, and a Torpedo.

The collection also included Nazi memorabilia, though the arrest seems connected to the storage of illegal weapons than his potential Nazi connection.  The article does not address whether the man was a Nazi supporter, a serious collector, or, perhaps just a crazy old man.

The trial of an 84-year-old German man and his collection of WWII artillery has come to an end. The man, who was not named as a result of German privacy laws, has been handed a suspended 14-month prison sentence and ordered to pay a €250,000 ($293,700 USD) fine.

Authorities raided the man’s house in 2015 and found a World War II-era Panther tank, an anti-aircraft gun, a torpedo, a horde of Nazi memorabilia, and more. It took the military 9 hours to remove the tank, which had no tracks, from the man’s basement.

Will American Banks Become Dependent on TikTok Gold?

TikTok has  pivoted itself  to be the defacto go-to communication tool with a significant proportion of American youth, and where the American youth are, advertisers are sure to follow.  Financial Institutions have been left behind the TikTok party, and many think it’s time for them to dive in to the TikTok gold.

While TikTok gains social and cultural private access to America’s youth, now it can build up American business dependence on the platform’s continued existence at the same time, creating dependency on a platform of war aimed squarely at the hearts of those not willing, in the end, to accept a return of priest-king governance, where charismatic leaders define the Holy and the Profane, unfettered by such things as the Bill of Rights affords a people, a right to self-determination.

Will TikTok Take Over Digital Attraction for Banks?

TikTok has the potential to be a powerful marketing tool. For example, videos posted on the app can garner thousands to millions of views. For the FinTech industry, TikTok may be ideal for increasing digital attraction.
This article will explore what digital attraction for banks is, and how TikTok can be useful. By discussing the advantages of the platform, we will strive to answer the question:

A Closer Look at Digital Attraction for Banks
When discussing digital attraction, it is crucial to examine the role of the customer.

Building digital interest in products or services requires businesses to understand their audiences. Therefore, learning more about your audience is key to learning how to attract them.

Banks must approach digital attraction the way someone might approach a new relationship. A solid foundation of trust must be established first.

Digital attraction has 3 core components
Empathy: Showing a customer that there is complete understanding of their problems
Compassion: Demonstrating a high level of care for the customer’s well-being
Ease: Soothing customer worries by providing planned out solutions

Magment may one day be the road you drive on that you expect will also be a source for you to get power for your car and all the stuff you have that can be charged wirelessly.  That’s the hope of this start-up company and Indiana’s Department of Transportation.

Magnetizable Concrete in Roads Could Charge Electric Cars While You Drive

Last month, Indiana’s Department of Transport (INDOT) announced a collaboration with Purdue University and German company Magment to test out whether cement with embedded magnetized particles could provide an affordable road-charging solution.

Most wireless vehicle charging technologies rely on a process known as inductive charging, where electricity pumped into a wire coil creates a magnetic field that can induce an electric current in any other nearby wire coil. The charging coils are installed at regular intervals under the road, and cars are fitted with a receiver coil that picks up the charge.

But installing thousands of miles of copper under the road is obviously fairly costly. Magment’s solution is to instead embed standard concrete with recycled ferrite particles, which are also able to generate a magnetic field but are considerably cheaper. The company claims its product can achieve transmission efficiency of up to 95 percent and can be built at “standard road-building installation costs.”

The move by the Teachers’ Union to sue a Rhode island Mom for trying to get information about what the school is teaching her kids might in fact be illegal if Legal Insurrection is correct in citing a Rhode Island Supreme Court Ruling that suggests it might be.

The Mom in question has been making an inordinate number of FOIA requests of this local government, so the issue for the local government might not specifically be with her requesting information as it is the proliferation of what she wants, and whether some data is within FOIA parameters or not.

However, once a Union of government employees steps into the fray and seeks to stop a citizen from getting information by suing them, now the legal questions begin to form.

Unions May Have Major Legal Problem In Lawsuit Against RI Mom Nicole Solas Over

There is a Rhode Island Supreme Court case that is going to have to be addressed, and which seems to sink the unions’ lawsuit. Ilana Cutler, Esq., Legal Insurrection Foundation Investigations Counsel, found the case, and it appears to be good law. And let’s just say I was shocked to find a case seemingly so on point and not addressed in the unions’ papers that it could present a major problem for the lawsuit.

The case is a 2004 Rhode Island Supreme Court case, In re New England Gas Co., 842 A.2d 545, 551–52 (R.I. 2004), in which the court found no right of a non-party to the public records process (in the position of the unions here) to seek to prevent disclosure of allegedly non-public information. That case even relied upon prior precident involving a different union’s attempt to intervene.

China’s deputy U.N. Ambassador Dai Bing accused the United States of “stirring up trouble out nothing, arbitrarily sending advanced military vessels and aircraft into the South China Sea as provocations and publicly trying to drive a wedge into regional countries.”

“This country itself has become the biggest threat to peace and stability in the South China Sea,” Dai said.

Blinken said it was the responsibility of all countries, not just claimants to the islands and waters of the South China Sea, to defend the rules they had all agreed to follow to peacefully resolve maritime disputes
