A new report claims that the Biden Administration has put a hold on a new shipment of American ammunition to Israel to assist in its war against Hamas, a stunning rebuke of the United States’ strongest ally in the Middle East.
According to Axios, two Israeli officials confirmed the halt on the ammunition shipment last week, which is the first time such a shipment was denied by the Biden Administration since the devastating October 7th terrorist attacks against Israel by Hamas which launched the ongoing war.
Despite initially vowing full support for Israel at the start of the war, Biden has begun backtracking his support in recent months due to widespread riots in the U.S. against Israel, particularly on college campuses and largely carried out by Muslim Americans and young Americans. In February, the Biden Administration demanded that Israel provide proof that American weaponry was not being used to violate international law, which Israel confirmed with a signed letter in March.
