LAB CREATES SYNTHETIC HUMAN EMBRYO WITHOUT FERTILIZED EGG – The Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel has successfully created a synthetic human embryo without using a fertilized egg to do so. It is intended to allow embryo research that bypasses some ethical dilemmas. The synthetic embryo, according to lead research professor Jacob Hanna, has all the features and characteristics of a human embryo that is 14 days old, sans the living part.
The project is intended to help scientists understand the first month of human development, which is still, according to Hanna “largely a black box.” He said, “Our complete stem-cell derived human embryo model offers an ethical and accessible way of peering into this box.” GO DEEPER

General James Hecker, the top Air Force commander for Europe and Africa, said of the resumption of missions, “For a while we weren’t doing any missions on the bases, they pretty much closed down the airfields. Through the diplomatic process, we are now doing, I wouldn’t say 100 percent of the missions that we were doing before, but we’re doing a large amount of missions that we’re doing before.”

TRUMP TO GET SEPARATE TRIAL FROM ALLEGED CO-CONSPIRATORS – Judge Scott McAfee at the Superior Court of Fulton County has ruled on the motion by the prosecutor, Fani Willis, to have a group trial for all 19 defendants in her contrived RICO case. All pretrial deadlines will proceed as scheduled without a stay of proceedings.”
UAW LAUNCHES STAND-UP STRIKES AS DEADLINE PASSES– The UAW (United Auto Workers) deadline for a new contract has come and gone. Immediately after the deadline passed UAW President Shawn Fain sent out this message: “A few minutes ago, thousands of UAW members at Ford, GM, and Stellantis, walked out, marking the beginning of the Stand Up Strike. This fight is our generation’s defining moment. Not just at the Big Three, but across the entire working class. We will stand up for ourselves. We will stand up for our families. We will stand up for our communities.”
“Stand-Up-Strikes” are done through selective walkouts that break down the whole operation rather than a broad strike of all autoworkers.

ANOTHER FBI AGENT TESTIFIES DAVID WEISS DID NOT HAVE FULL AUTHORITY TO CHARGE HUNTER BIDEN – A Baltimore Field Office female FBI agent testified to the House Judiciary Committee that now-Special Prosecutor David Weiss was hampered by both U.S. Attorneys and California in his efforts to bring charges against Hunter Biden.
When asked about Weiss’ charging authority, the agent said, “I’m aware that obviously charging discussions were happening, and, yes, there was a difference in the venue for some of those charges. I remember learning at some point in the investigation that Mr. Weiss would have to go through his other processes because the U.S. Attorney’s Offices had, I guess, in that sense, using that terminology, wasn’t going to partner.”

YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM AFFECTS YOUR VERY BEHAVIORS – A Yale-led research paper published in the journal Nature suggests the immune system can affect you far more than previously believed. Ruslan Medzhitov, Sterling Professor of Immunobiology at Yale School of Medicine, investigator for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and senior author of the study, said “We find immune recognition controls behavior, specifically defensive behaviors against toxins that are communicated first through antibodies and then to our brains.”
ORIGAMI DRONES FOR DRONES? – Researchers at the University of Washington are working on drones that are launched by drones. They move through the air through origami-like motions as they descend, meaning they require no batteries to power them to their destination.
From sciencedaily.com: When these “microfliers” are dropped from a drone, they use a Miura-ori origami fold to switch from tumbling and dispersing outward through the air to dropping straight to the ground. To spread out the fliers, the researchers control the timing of each device’s transition using a few methods: an onboard pressure sensor (estimating altitude), an onboard timer or a Bluetooth signal.
