The Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine is suing the FDA over its allowance of abortion pills to be sold over the counter. The Alliance is comprised of doctors’ associations and individual doctors all working in pregnancy and post-abortive care. These are pills that can terminate an unborn life up to and including the day of birth. They account for 50 percent of abortions in America today.
The underlying basis for the lawsuit is the FDA’s justification of the accelerated approval of the drugs, to protect the public health. The lawsuit contends that the FDA must be able to classify pregnancy as a “serious or life-threatening illness” in order to give it the power to allow such a drug on the market.
Now, the DNC-controlled left will have to go about the business of proving that pregnancy is a serious or life-threatening illness, something that won’t be difficult for their indoctrinated followers to digest, who are already well-conditioned to associate pregnancy, even motherhood, with white supremacy, heteronormativity and cis-gendered fascism.
