INTEREST PAYMENT TO DEBT BREAKS $1 TRILLION CEILING – The interest payments on the debt for fiscal 2022 exceeded $1.393 trillion, shattering the trillion-dollar ceiling and exploding compared to last year’s interest payments. This year’s interest payments were 170 percent more than last year, a figure that is only expected to explode over the next few years. Meanwhile, debt spending has only accelerated.
