The Department of Justice under Donald Trump is floating the idea of banning guns for people who are on “gender affirming” chemical treatment. This follows another mass shooting targeting children by a transgendered person. 2A Advocates cite the dangerous precedent this sets to take guns from people for a myriad of other “medical” reasons. The conservative base has largely celebrated this possibility.

A DOJ spokesperson said, “Under Attorney General Bondi’s leadership, this Department of Justice is actively considering a range of options to prevent mentally unstable individuals from committing acts of violence, especially at schools.”

Here are ten reasonable instructions for immigrants who aspire to come to America. This message is for travelers from overseas, asylum seekers, people residing in this country on work or student visas, and green card holders. All of this is obviously apparent. These rules are self evident, and should not even need to be expressed. But it has become blatantly apparent that this must be said. So if you want to immigrate to America, follow these simple rules:

Do not sneak into this country across our borders. Come to our country through a legal port of entry, or apply for asylum at the American consulate in your home country.
Do not seek asylum under false pretenses. By decree of the United Nations, you seek asylum to flee a genuine threat to your life, not to flee from poverty. Don’t let your first act as an American immigrant be a lie.
Learn to speak English. We don’t expect you to be fluent at the college level, but you should be able to get around reasonably well, read a ballot, and read a news article about the candidates up for election.
If you want to immigrate into this country, and you want to be an American, then be an American. You owe your allegiance to America now. Bring us those treasured gifts of your culture, but leave the country you left behind.
Once we have invited you here on a work or student visa, or on a green card, understand that you are here on a provisional basis. Behave yourself, obey our laws, and show us that you will be a good citizen who will contribute to the betterment of our country.
Do not come here to start trouble with disruptive protests. This is not the time. Your task right now is show us that you belong here to join us as Americans. Once you become a naturalized citizen, we welcome you to peacefully exercise your First Amendment rights.
Leave your tribalisms and your racial and sectarian bigotry behind. Do not bring your wars onto our shores.
You left your home country for a reason. Leave the ugly traits of the country you fled. Do not come here to change our laws to fit your religion, to sex traffic children, to subjugate our women, to murder homosexuals, nor to traffic drugs to our children and our citizens.
If we catch you rioting in our streets, we will deport you. ICE authorities will facilitate your removal, but it’s We The People who deport you. You are not welcome here in our homeland.
Fly the flag of your home country with pride. But fly the American flag above the flag of your home country. You are Americans now. Do this of your own free will and from your heart, not as a simple formality in order to game citizenship.

California Wants to Turn Home Insurers into Gun Snitches

The Progmericans (which are no Americans at all) of California are at it again in their effort to micro-manage the lives of the masses. This time, they’re hoping to create a new law that will require home insurance providers to ask homeowners and renters about their potential gun ownership.

The fascists of California want to use private corporations to violate our constitutional rights. They will force them to do it in the name of saving children, or so they claim. They want a database of gun owners so they know where they live and what kind of “threat” they might pose to the police state fantasies these fanatics are living out.

Assembly member Mike Gipson and state Sen. Catherine Blakespear are leading an effort to require insurance companies to ask homeowners about the guns they own.

AB 3067, as introduced Feb. 16, would add Section 2086 to the state’s insurance code:

… This bill would require an insurer, by January 1, 2026, to include questions on an application for homeowners’ or renters’ insurance seeking specified information regarding the presence and storage of any firearms kept in the household, accessory structures, or vehicles kept on the property subject to any applicable insurance policy. The bill would require an insurer to annually report this information to the Department of Insurance and the Legislature beginning on January 1, 2027, and would prohibit the inclusion of confidential identifying information in the report.

Insurers would be required to ask the following questions:

(1) Whether there are firearms kept in the household, including in any accessory structures, and if so, how many.

(2) Whether the firearm, if any, is stored in a locked container in the home, including any accessory structures, while not in use.

(3) The number of firearms kept in a vehicle located on the property subject to the applicable insurance policy, and if any, whether they are stored securely in a locked container while not in use.

Then the insurer would have to play informant:

An insurer shall annually report the information gathered from the questions regarding the presence, storage, and number of firearms to the Department of Insurance and the Legislature beginning on January 1, 2027. The report shall not contain any identifying information contained in a consumer’s application for homeowners’ or renters’ insurance, including, but not limited to, names, addresses, and telephone numbers, which shall remain confidential.

Amazon, Trader Joe’s, and SpaceX challenges Constitutionality of Labor Board

So far, three major corporations have joined forces in filing a challenge to the way the National Labor Relations Board determines violations of law, arguing the board’s power to impose penalties without a jury trial denies them their basic right to due process. Amazon is the latest to join the fight, which includes Trader Joe’s and SpaceX.

Iran Escalates Red Sea Tensions

The Islamic state of Iran has significantly escalated tensions in the Red Sea, by deploying the warship Alborz to the crucial Bab el-Mandeb Strait a day after US Navy helicopters drove off Iranian-backed Houthi pirates of Yemen following their attempted seizure of the Singapore-registered container ship Maersk Hangzhou, sinking several Houthi boats and killing an estimated ten pirates, on December 30, according to CENTCOM.

This also comes some 10 days after the Liberian-flagged tanker MV Chem Pluto was struck by a suspected Iranian drone while at sea, en-route from Saudi Arabia to India on December 23rd.

The Alborz, an Alvand-class frigate, was originally bought by the Imperial Iranian Navy in 1971.

The move by Iran raises the distinct possibility of hostile action between the Iranian vessel and the various, dozen-or-so warships of Operation Prosperity Guardian, assembled in late-December to counter repeated missile and boarding attacks on international shipping, claiming to be countering the Israeli response to the unprovoked attack on its civilians that began on October 7 by the Hamas terrorists operating in the Gaza Strip.

Jordan Accuses DOJ of Spying on Congress, Wants Answers from Garland

House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) is accusing the Department of Justice of spying on members of congress, and he wants the head of the DOJ, Merrick Garland, to answer for it.

He wrote a letter to Garland saying, “The Committee on the Judiciary is conducting oversight of the Justice Department’s use of its law-enforcement authority to obtain the private communications of Members of Congress and congressional staff members… On November 8, the Department informed the Committee via e-mail of ‘a change to the Department of Justice’s policies and procedures in criminal investigations involving Members of Congress and their staff’ that ‘impose[s] new requirements to consult with, or receive approval from, the Public Integrity Section.’”
