The Grizzly Bears and the Indiginous humans that have shared the same geographic space along the coast of British Columbia are integrally tied to one another beyond anything that anyone could imagine. Researcheers from the Raincoast Conservation Foundation, with other working groups working in collaboration with them, began looking for Bear DNA with no idea that it would lead them to discover that the DNA of these Grizzly Bears map right on to the structure of the language these indigionous people have been using.

The bears and Indigenous humans of coastal British Columbia have more in common than meets the eye. The two have lived side by side for millennia in this densely forested region on the west coast of Canada. But it’s the DNA that really stands out: A new analysis has found that the grizzlies here form three distinct genetic groups, and these groups align closely with the region’s three Indigenous language families.

It’s a “mind-blowing” finding that shows how cultural and biological diversity in the region are intertwined, says Jesse Popp, an Indigenous environmental scientist at the University of Guelph who was not involved with the work.

Scientists have discovered the fountain of youth, of sorts, and its gut bacteria.  Older mice were given gut microbia transplants from younger mice and ended up seeing reserve aging affects that imrpoved every physical quality of of life for them,  More research is for sure needed, but, perhapsn a day will come when grandpa will be given gut microbe bacteria from his grandkids to assure he stays looking 40 when he’s already 95.

The research, published Monday in the journal Nature Aging, reveals that older mice who have received gut microbiota transplants from young mice show improved brain function and behavior. This mouse model offers powerful insight into how diet and what populates our stomachs affect what our brains look like in old age.

WHAT’S NEW — Researchers have found that when they transplant microbiota of young mice into the intestines of older mice, the older mice display improved cognitive function. This is the first study that shows the correlation between transplantation of a gut microbiome from a younger mouse into an older one with improved brain abilities in the older mice.

One doctor who made an appearance on CNBC recently stated the opinion that this version of Covid-19, the Delta version, might in fact be the last wave of Covid Americans might have to endure.  According to Dr. Scott Gottlieb, the virus might very well become another flu variant that no longer merits such extraordinary measures to guard against.

However, he did note that right now schools in particular should be seeking to take aggressive mitigation action to assure that this does indeed end up being the result of the latest coronavirus wave.
