Breaking the Material Mold with Quantum Observations

Scientists have discovered a way to unleash a myriad of new property potentials in materials that can be created from simple defects in atomic structures.  By observing these defects in nature, they can now study these anomalies and learn to identify the types of unique properties they produce, enabling them, in time, to plan out intentional defect creation to unleash a whole range of new materials with properties we might not even now begin to imagine.

A unique quantum-mechanical interaction between electrons and topological defects in layered materials

An international team led by EPFL scientists, has unveiled a unique quantum-mechanical interaction between electrons and topological defects in layered materials that has only been observed in engineered atomic thin layers. The phenomenon can be reproduced by the native defects of lab grown large crystals, making future investigation of Kondo systems and quantum electronic devices more accessible.

The properties of materials that are technologically interesting often originate from defects on their atomic structure. For example, changing the optical properties of rubies with chrome inclusions has helped develop lasers, while nitrogen-vacancy in diamonds are paving the way for applications such as quantum magnetometers. Even in the metallurgical industry, atomic-scale defects like dislocation enhances the strength of forged steel…..

Working with the Laboratoire National des Champs Magnétiques Intenses in Grenoble and Toulouse, they accessed some of the world’s most powerful magnets. The collaboration performed experiments up to 34 Tesla in static conditions and with pulses up to 70 Tesla for a few milliseconds.

“My first guess was that it is a new type form of Kondo effect, despite the fact that we did not introduces magnetic species in the crystal,” says Konstantin Semeniuk, a scientist who worked on the study.

“Once we completed our investigation, the result was clear,” says Martino. “The atomically thin defects create a sort of magnetic wall in the material that bounces back some of the electrons that try to cross it. Unraveling the source of the Kondo effect has shown that thermodynamics can make big surprises. We believe there is a lot more to discover in this field, better understanding of  defects by electronic microscopy, local magnetic measurements, and new quantum simulations to understand the formation and effect of such defects in layered materials.”

The DNC is a Friend of Crime?

As many Democrats, Mayors, Governors among them, call for defunding the police, for giving political protection to arsonists during ‘peaceful riots,’ as they pass laws removing bail as a requirement for holding suspected criminals in jail, the places where they rule with the most control are in the least control of law and order, to the immediate detriment of the citizens these Democrats serve.

The question might then be asked, are Democrats an impediment to Americans being able to defend themselves from the threats that many Democrats are daily working to create through their invectives that are lobbed like molotov cocktails on the innocent and guilty alike.

Will Democrat legislators protect you from criminals and domestic terrorists?

Do Democrats care about protecting the people who pay their salaries? Don’t look at what they say – what do their actions say? Let’s take a look at what Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said about criminals in her home state of New York. Then we’ll look at how her position works out in real life for the taxpayers she is supposed to represent.

First story from the New York Post:

Three House Democrats sent a letter to the Big Apple’s five district attorneys Monday demanding answers on how they use cash bail, saying it’s contributing to the ongoing “humanitarian crisis” on Rikers Island.

The letter, sent by Manhattan Rep. Carolyn Maloney, Bronx Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland, said the lawmakers have “grave concerns that excessive bail amounts” are forcing detainees to languish in unsafe city lockups simply because they cannot afford to pay.

“High bail amounts lead to a two-tiered system of justice, with those who can afford bail…

Jab Reprieve for Federal Employees Tha

The Biden Administration might be getting more resistance than they thought they would get judging by the recent move to extend the deadline for Federal Workers to get the jab until 2022.

Federal workers get reprieve from vax mandate penalties until 2022

The Biden administration has told government agencies that they can hold off on disciplining workers who refuse to get vaccinated against COVID-19 until after the holidays, saying the mandate was intended to “protect federal workers, not to punish them.”

The White House originally set a Nov. 22 deadline for federal workers to be fully vaccinated or face suspension or dismissal unless they were granted a religious or medical exemption.

But the Office of Personnel Management and the Office of Management and Budget said on Monday that noncompliant workers should not be penalized until January in order to allow officials more time to convince holdouts to get inoculated against the coronavirus.

China Can’t Stop the Deafening Silence from Peng Shuai

It seems not even Beijing can conceal the political ruthlessness of its actions from the world even when it comes to how it usually treats its stars, specifically female stars, like sexual conquests for the party elites.  The top-ranked doubles tennis player in the world, Peng Shuai, dared to speak out against becoming a sexual conquest by one of the creepy powerful elites of the party, and she quickly disappeared.

With the Olympics Committee serving as China’s apologist, the attempted ruse is not working, and the people of the “West” are now asking questions they should have asked long ago, “what kind of country is China and can we continue to do business with it?”

The Women’s Tennis Association, for one, is not amused at China’s attempts to silence this woman who dared speak out against the party and its decades of sexual conquest of its female ‘starts.’  It doesn’t pay well to become a star in China when the party elite find you sexually conquestable.

Never mind all that, though, King Lebron and the NBA have a great relationship with China, and their social justice work in America surely doesn’t conflict with the reality of the nature of the Chinese state under a totalitarian ruler, Chairman Xi, who serves as the head of the party, the Chinese Communist Party, the big brother, if you will, of what the DNC hopes one day to become (but I digress).

China’s Silence on Peng Shuai Shows Limits of Beijing’s Propaganda

When the Chinese tennis star Peng Shuai accused a former top leader of sexual assault earlier this month, the authorities turned to a tried-and-true strategy. At home, the country’s censors scrubbed away any mention of the allegations. Abroad, a few state-affiliated journalists focused narrowly on trying to quash concerns about Ms. Peng’s safety.

Beijing seems to be relying on a two-pronged approach of maintaining the silence and waiting for the world to move on. The approach suggests that the country’s sprawling propaganda apparatus has limited options for shifting the narrative without drawing more attention to the uncomfortable allegations Beijing hopes would just disappear.

Ukraine’s soldiers wait in the trenches for Moscow’s next move | World

The Ukrainian soldier stood in a muddy trench, cigarette cupped in his palm to avoid attracting the attention of Russian-backed separatist fighters less than 350 metres away.

“It’s good weather for reconnaissance scouts,” he said, warily. “No one wants to come out of their warm dugout on a night like this.” It was 9pm and the rainy Ukrainian steppe was pitch dark, shrouded in a dense fog. The sound of artillery and small arms fire could be heard all along the front.

Since fighting began in eastern Ukraine’s Donbas region in 2014, a vast labyrinth of trenches has been dug across much of a front line that stretches for over 250 miles. Tensions have increased across the region in recent weeks amid fears that Russia

Federal Judge Fails to Protect Chicago City Workers from Jab or Fired

Another DNC-appointed Judge is failing to recognize even basic constitutional rights, this time, it’s the very right to property itself, in the form of your own person not being forced to take a vaccine.

The Judge makes the usual argument that it’s safety over freedom and we’re probably all gonna die from covid if we don’t surrender all our sovereignty to the state, or words to that effect.  The Judge in question is Judge John Z. Lee, a Federal District Judge of Northern Illinois.

Judge says Chicago city workers have no constitutional right to spurn vaccinations – Cook County Record

A federal judge has explained he recently refused to block the Illinois governor and Chicago mayor from forcing COVID-19 vaccinations upon Chicago city workers, saying the workers’ evidence against the value of vaccines was “slim” and the city’s evidence in favor was “substantial.”

Judge John Z. Lee, of U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, issued the explanation Nov. 24, declaring the workers “do not have a fundamental constitutional right to refuse COVID-19 vaccinations.”

On Oct. 21, a group of employees of Chicago’s fire, water and transportation departments asked Lee to stop Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Mayor Lori Lightfoot from ordering them to be vaccinated and tested for COVID-19 or risk losing their jobs. The workers claim the mandate trespasses on their rights to bodily autonomy.

Solar Winds Brought Water to Earth?

Solar winds blew dust onto the face of the earth, from which water was created.  This is the current theory emerging from a group of researchers out of the University of Glassgow.

Researchers may have solved a mystery about the origins of Earth’s water, finding the Sun to be a surprising source.

The scientists describe how new analysis of an ancient asteroid suggests extra-terrestrial dust grains carried water to Earth as the planet formed.

According to the study, the water in the dust was produced by ‘space weathering’.

Researchers found the solar wind, made up of charged particles from the Sun, created water on the surface of dust grains carried on asteroids that smashed into the Earth during the early days of the Solar System.

Will Omicron Lead to World Peace?

World Leaders ponder the creation of a world treaty to allow for governments to universally address the rising threat to the world that the Omicron variant of the Coronavirus is, even if it’s not at all sure that it is.  Either way, even if Omicron is all contagious and mild symptoms, a reprieve from the daily mullings of wanna-be world rulers fighting over scraps of better than their neighbors is welcome nonetheless

Omicron was the Black Friday surprise no one wanted. But this mysterious and alarming new coronavirus variant has injected itself into a global debate about vaccine inequality and pandemic responses at a potentially crucial moment.

Less than a week after the new variant was reported to the World Health Organization (WHO) by South Africa, global leaders met Monday to discuss the creation of a new international agreement to better deal with historic outbreaks — what some advocates have dubbed a “pandemic treaty.” The special session of the World Health Assembly (WHA), only the second ever held by the WHO’s governing body, is expected to last until Wednesday.

Amazon Alabama Union Election Nullified, Must be Re-run

It appears Jeff Bezos’ progressive-powered Amazon is having problems living up to the full code of social justice.  Efforts to unionize Amazon workers have been met with failure, but no one has come closer than the Alabama facility in pulling it off.  A recent election where Amazon got the result the wanted (union vote failed) has been declared null and void by the NLRB and will have to be run all over again.

See, folks, sometimes people cheat to win elections.  It’s true.

Christmas Parade Terror Suspect Has Long Record of Violence

The SUV that killed 6, including one child, and injured 48, including scores of children, has a long history of violence, arrest records reveal.  Of course, we’re referring to the SUV formerly known as Darrell Brooks, the DNC-supporting fundamentalist that appears to have taken “social justice” into his own hands, targeting whites for their sins, as per the DNC-sponsored, inspired, supported, and flamed narrative that white people invented evil.

Of course Darrell Brooks is no SUV, but the DNC-corp media would have you believe an accidental SUV accidently bumped into a few white people but everything’s fine, hey look, a new Coronavirus variant!
