Canada appears concerned that one of their junior high schools chose to assign students with the task of providing reasons for supporting immigration and reasons for not supporting immigration. In the mind of a leftist (and Canada has gone full Tankie Left at this point), all immigration is good immigration and no nation-state could possibly have any reason to regulate or control immigration from anywhere (other than European nations) other than being racist. Now the government is looking into this exercise in critical thinking and considering deeming critical thinking racist (that last part might be made up, but, in essense, that’s what’s happening here).
Anti-racism advocates and a university professor are calling an assignment handed out at a junior high school in St. John’s “racist” and say it could result in bullying and discrimination.
A textbook assignment that was sent to CBC News by a concerned parent asked students to write down two reasons why immigrants and refugees should be allowed into the country — and two reasons why they should not be.
The textbook provides a list of reasons why immigrants and refugees should be allowed in the country; for example, “Canada is a big country with room for many more people” and “Immigrants provide new ideas and skills.”
Delores Mullings, a professor of social work at Memorial University, says she’s concerned with the textbook’s suggestions for opposing migration: newcomers “may take jobs away from resident Canadians,” and “Some immigrants draw on social welfare programs and services,” according to the textbook.
Students were asked to use these graphs to debate why immigrants should or should not be allowed into Canada. (Name withheld)
A Californian Bill heading to become law in the one-party state will now force grocery stores to “donate” their ‘edible food wastes” to charities in a move that is sure to produce chaotic ‘unintended’ circumstances as grocery stores figure out ways to minimize their liabilities now created by this to-be law.
California has enforced a new law to mark the New Year that can make massive strides in fighting food waste in the United States. In fact, if it is effective enough, it might forever change the way the region tackles the issue of food waste.
Before the pandemic caused by the coronavirus, about 35 Million United States citizens faced food insecurity. Unfortunately, this number has gradually risen over the past few years, instead of dropping.
The Senate Bill 1383
One of the issues that the new California Law will tackle, known as the Senate Bill 1383, is the issue of food insecurity. It states that all food suppliers, including grocery stores, must donate all food waste that is still edible to a food bank or an organization that rescues food.

Winston Glynn is accused of murdering 19-year-old Kristal Bayron-Nieves, an employee at a Burger King restaurant in East Harlem.
Police say Glynn stormed into the fast food eatery early on Jan. 9, attacking the manager and another customer. Glynn allegedly stole $100 from a cash register, but demanded that Bayron-Nieves hand over more cash. Unfortunately, the she did not have the key to open the cash drawer. Police say the young women begged for her life, but accuse Glynn of firing one shot and killing Bayron-Nieves.
“We often hear the term a senseless murder,” NYPD Chief of Department Kenneth Corey said. “That is not a cliché in this case. There was no reason to shoot this young woman. Money had been handed over. She was trying to comply with the gunman’s demands. She was killed for no apparent reason.”

The suspect who held a rabbi and his congregants hostage at a Texas synagogue was identified Sunday as a British citizen, as witnesses recalled watching the terrifying situation play out on a Facebook livestream.
