It seems appropriate that the late Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) should lie in state in the U.S. Capitol rotunda. He lied there many times before.

Senator Reid lied about his Senate colleague and co-religionist Mitt Romney on the Senate floor in 2012. I use the word “lied” advisedly, in the sense that he intentionally stated as true something he categorically knew to be false. And he did it to neutralize a credible Republican presidential nominee. Reid said “he heard” that Romney hadn’t paid any taxes in 10 years: Romney later released a return showing he’d paid $1.9 million in taxes in 2011. Pants on fire, Senator Reid: and it isn’t just me: Politifact outed the falsehood, but the damage was done, and Senate rules insulated Reid from any consequences.

And Reid was a mighty obstructionist. In 2001 he was instrumental in blocking President George W. Bush’s nomination of Miguel Estrada,, a Honduran immigrant with degrees from Columbia and Harvard, to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. (Tragically, Estrada’s wife was a casualty of that turmoil.) After some seasoning on the Circuit Court Estrada would have been an outstanding first Latino Supreme Court appointee. No dice, said the man from Vegas. And in 2006 Reid helped scuttle a bipartisan, comprehensive immigration reform bill. President George W. Bush helped craft legislation to increase border security, increase the number of guest workers, and expand green cards, a general overhaul of what is universally regarded as a broken immigration system. News flash: it’s still broken, and the prospects for reform grow ever more remote.

Why did Reid labor (successfully) to bring down Estrada and immigration reform? Same motivation in each case: the paramount desire to deny a Republican president “wins” that Reid wanted to reserve for a Democratic administration, the better to reap Blue electoral hay from Latino voters.

One hates to speak ill of the dead, and I’m not without some personal sympathy for the man: we’re both afflicted with bad eyesight. And I’m sure he well served his constituents, particularly those in a position to underwrite political campaigns. There’s a reason the crane is the State Bird of Nevada. I’m sure he will be mourned by family and friends. And I’m glad he funded research on space aliens, surely to the benefit of his fine constituents – who knows, maybe voters? — in Area 51. But let’s not kid ourselves. Harry Reid may have been a very skilled politician, but he was no statesman. Still, may he rest in peace.

Rittenhouse Friend Walks Virtually Scot-Free Following Plea Deal

The headline below, “Man who bought gun for Kyle Rittenhouse pleads no contest,” is ubiquitous in variations as a headline across these lands. Wherever the DNC-MSM controls your signal, you would be left with the social signal that society had once again confirmed your neo-marxianesque wanna-be reality that it was illegal for human beings to defend themselves against your street thug gangs doing the violent work of the DNC.
The man who gave Kyle Rittenhouse the gun of death was going to jail, pleading no contest to the charges, confirming once again the MSM was right the whole time when they said Kyle Rittenhouse had the gun illegally because he crossed state borders and brought Sharknado with him.
The ACTUAL headline should read, “Rittenhouse Friend Pleads Misdemeanor Fine, All Other Charges Dropped.” But that headline was not the right narrative, even if it spoke the truth, for truth is not your friend when you live in Utopian/Dystopian lies. Truth undermines your power, as it does the DNC/MSM’s power, so they write a technically true headline knowing full well they are manipulating, knowingly deceiving, their audiences to keep them in lock step with their violent anti-American, anti-Bill-of-Rights revolution.

Nancy Pelosi thinks politicians using insider knowledge to trade in the markets and turn their 200Kwhatever a year salary into an empire of tens, sometimes hundreds of millions. The Fed Vice Chair Richard Clarida allegedly thinks that should also apply to all government officials, not just our elected royalty (which was new to me, but Nancy set me straight).

Allegedly, he has been making some insider trading type trades during the pandemic, which shocks no one that it happened in government during this time.

The only thing that might be shocking is which of the many government grifters would be shaken from the tree as a sacrifice to the rest of the bad apples still hanging over us all from their gilded branches.

Every leftist’s favorite Pope, Francis, recently upset the balance of the universe in a speech he gave on Monday, January 10th, in which he referred to ‘cancel culture’ as a ‘form of ideological colonization.’ He used the language of the left right there to attack the left.
The move, to me, seems to indicate a very real shift among the opportunist leftist elites to begin the process of backing out of the rabid pack dog culting they’ve been laying down.
There are a number of possible reasons for this, but I believe it is most likely an indication their AI and deep learning algorithms are all spitting out, ‘they’re not breaking, but they’re about to turn on your rabid dogs, and then you.’
With that in mind, the pragmatic left will tell the rabid pack dogs, it’s time to let a little slack out of the line, let the prey run, don’t worry, we’ll set you loose again.’
Only it might not be so easy to stop these rabid pack dogs as many of them have created a very nice living for themselves whipping the dogs to kill, so to speak.

Financial Aid Wealth Redistribution Plan by US Universities Exposed?

It appears as many as 170,000 former undergraduate students who recevied some form of partial financial aid may be eligible to compensation from the Universities they attended.

According to the Wall Street Journal, American Universities, including Harvard and Yale, have been allegedly weighting consideration of a student’s ability to potentially pay off a loan to how much money they receive in financial aid.

The suit alleges that students who were deemed to be more likely to pay got less financial aid. If true, it sounds like these Neo-Marxianesque institutions of thought control have illegally engaged in redistributing wealth. This fits perfectly with their institutional values. The problem is, that financial aid was coming from American taxpayers, not the Chinese Communist Party.

Sonia Sotomayor claimed in a vaccine mandate hearing that over 100,000 children were in the hospital because of Covid and “many are on ventilators.” The CDC confirmed that Sotomayor was, in fact, lying when she said 100,000 children were in the hospital because of COVID.
As of right now, there are only a few thousand total children that have actually had to go the hospital for Covid, and a few hundred that have been on ventilators.
The fact that a sitting justice can be so grossly uninformed about the matter she is adjudicating is frighting for Americans that still value the Rule of Law.
