President Biden’s Aid Asked for Money from Hunter

It looks like the Bidens are knee-deep in email bomb after email bomb as the contents of the once-silicon-valley protected Hunter Biden laptop are beginning to make their way into news stories across the country.
Perhaps the most damaging one so far is an email from then-Vice President Biden’s chief of staff in 2012 that asked the CCP-cash-infused Hunter Biden for some of that booty. Enjoy the schadenfreude, but don’t expect much in the way of actual justice being served in the sordid affair that is the Bidens selling out to foreign governments for personal wealth.
One theory already floating out there is that Hunter Biden will be pardoned by Joe Biden just after he announces he won’t be running for re-election in 2024.

President Joe Biden’s chief of staff Ron Klain allegedly emailed Hunter Biden in 2012 to ask him for money for his father.

“Hey, I have to tackle a piece of unpleasant business,” he wrote in an September 2012 email to Hunter Biden now revealed by Fox News.

Klain explained to Hunter his father needed to raise $20,000 in a week to keep up the “VP Residence Foundation” as a public charity.

“I’m hitting up a few very close friends on a very confidential basis to write checks of $2,000 each,” he reportedly wrote.

Klain stressed it would be very embarrassing if the news went public and stressed the importance of secrecy.

“We need to keep this low low key, because raising money for the residence now is bad PR — but it has to be done,” he continued.

Elon Moves to Conquer Twitter?

After Elon Musk held a Twitter poll asking if the Twitterati believes Twitter is a good place for free speech, the Ironman-wannabe entrepreneur stepped in with a few billion dollars to purchase over 9 percent of Twitter stock, making him the biggest stockholder of the DNC-CCP-compliant platform.

Now that he’s got that 9 percent, Elon is now a member of the Twitter board, which means he will theoretically have the most influence on what Twitter does next than any other person on the planet.  Robert Downey Jr. had to deal with Thanos snaps and Elon, apparently, has to deal with Twitter bans.  Let’s see if it ends better for Elon than it did Ironman (f in the chat for Robert Downey Jr.).

Perhaps Elon will use the hype to drive the stock up (and it is already shooting up after the Musk move) and then bow out, fatter than he was before, but so not Ironman if he does.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk will join Twitter’s board after the Tesla and SpaceX chief purchased a 9.2% stake – worth $3billion (£2.3billion) – despite previously ridiculing the social media platform

Elon Musk – the world’s richest man – is set to join Twitter’s board after becoming the social media platform’s top shareholder.

It comes after the Tesla and SpaceX chief purchased a 9.2 per cent stake – worth $3billion (£2.3billion) – in Twitter Inc yesterday.

Prior to announcing the purchase, Musk had criticised the micro-blogging site for failing to adhere to free speech principles and said he was contemplating building a new social media platform.

But now the 50-year-old businessman cannot become the owner of more than 14.9% of Twitter’s common stock either as an individual shareholder or a member of a group as long as he is a director of the brand, according…

BLM Springs for New Million House for Founder

It looks like Black Lives Matter a LOT MORE when you’re the founder of BLM than when you are not.  The most valuable black life is your own founder.  BLM has made that clear, it appears, if allegations are true that the organization spent $6 million for a new house for their founder Patrisse Cullors. NY Magazine has released a report alleging that the home was paid for in cash back in 2020 by the organization.

Black Lives Matter Organization Reportedly Used Donor Cash to Buy a $6 Million House

More recently, the BLM organization has come under increased scrutiny for its shady finances, even being forced to halt fundraising at one point.

This new revelation is just more of the same.

Sean Campbell writes in NY Magazine:

Black Lives Matter Secretly Bought a $6 Million House Allies and critics alike have questioned where the organization’s money has gone.

On a sunny day late last spring, three leaders of the Black Lives Matter movement — Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Melina Abdullah — sat around a table on the patio of an expensive house in Southern California. The women were recording a YouTube video to mark the first anniversary of George Floyd’s murder, and they discussed their racial-justice work and the difficulties they had faced over the year…

None of the women acknowledged the house behind them. It’s far from a box, with more than 6,500 square feet, more than half a dozen bedrooms and bathrooms, several fireplaces, a soundstage, a pool and bungalow, and parking for more than 20 cars, according to real-estate listings. The California property was purchased for nearly $6 million in cash in October 2020 with money that had been donated to BLMGNF.

Information Itself is a State of Matter

A fascinating proposal from physicist Melvin Vopson suggests that information itself might be the actual 5th state of matter. The idea itself is intriguing in that it makes the information we hold a physical property. Perhaps this is the synthesis between material and idea that Berkely severed, triggering centuries of debate between materialists and idealists and all sorts of hybrids in between.

Vopson hopes to measure the physical properties of information using a matter-antimatter annihilation process that he hopes will produce “an extra dash of energy: two infrared, low-energy photons of a specific wavelength.” The studies are being conducted at the University of Portsmouth in the UK, where Vopson is studying information theory.

Information Could Be the Fifth State of Matter, Proving We Live in a Simulation

Trying to make sense of information is a universal daily experience. For physicist Melvin Vopson, this pursuit goes well beyond the mundane—he’s trying to prove that information has a physical presence. It’s a weighty task that could lead to new insights about how we can manage the future of information storage. It could also lead to a fundamental shift in how we think about the universe.

Vopson, who studies information theory at University of Portsmouth in the United Kingdom, wants to use an experiment to confirm that elementary particles have measurable mass. It would involve a matter-antimatter annihilation process that would shoot a beam of positrons at electrons in a piece of metal. Positrons and electrons are both subatomic particles, with the same mass and magnitude of charge. However, positrons are positively charged, and electrons are negatively charged. A sheet of metal has many free electrons, increasing the probability of collision with the incoming positrons.

Vopson proposes that a positron-electron annihilation should produce energy equivalent to the masses of the two particles. It should also produce an extra dash of energy: two infrared, low-energy photons of a specific wavelength (predicted to be about 50 microns), as a direct result of erasing the information content of the particles. Photons are particles of electromagnetic radiation.

Marxist Activists Emboldened by SEC Shareholder Rulings

The SEC wants corporations to have to convert their policies to Marxist ideology, but calls it climate change and social change activism. Corporations are being harassed by wealthy Marxist activists seeking to use their power to force companies to not only make a profit, but conform to the leftist ideology.

With a mere adjustment of regulations, with no new laws being passed, Biden’s SEC, RedSEC as we call it now, is now unilaterally deciding that corporations must conform to Marxist policies whenever Marxists target them through their billionaire proxies that are enabling this destruction of the American republic.

Shareholders Up Climate, Social Demands After SEC Policy Shift

The SEC is quashing more company requests to exclude shareholder proposals related to climate and social issues from their proxies after a significant policy change in November.

The agency said last year that it would start factoring in broader social policy considerations when evaluating requests to cast aside proxy proposals that companies see as micromanagement or interfering with regular business operations.

That policy shift on “no-action letters” has emboldened retail and activist investors to be more aggressive with environmental and social proxy proposals, said Derek Zaba, a Sidley Austin LLP partner and co-chair of the firm’s shareholder activism practice.

“Some companies are choosing not to even bother with going through the no-action process because they don’t believe there’s a level of success with years past,” Zaba said.

“No-action” letters are essentially green lights for companies to cast aside shareholder proposals without fear of an enforcement…

Non-Binary Ideology Behind Biden’s ID XO Change

Biden’s America is pushing hard for forcing the breakdown of gender normative, heteronormative standards that are essential reflections of the overwhelming aggregates of human expression and being. The President’s latest move is to give state sanction and legitimacy to the notion of the non-gender gender called non-binary, a special category that seems to be dominated by adult children who like to dress like post-modern apocalyptic clowns.

Passports and US ID’s will now offer a new category on gender identity, non-binary. The move is sure to be one exploited by criminals and terrorists who will use the special designation to hide their true identities. The Biden administration hopes to break down social norms to accelerate the destruction of Americanism and the rise of a new marxio-corporatism that can exploit humans from cradle (those they let live) to grave.

WASHINGTON, March 31 (Reuters) – Americans will be allowed to choose an X for gender on their passport applications and select their sex on Social Security cards, the Biden administration said on Thursday in announcing measures to support transgender Americans against wave of state laws targeting them.

The State Department in June said U.S. citizens could select their gender on applications without having to submit medical documentation. In October, it issued the first American passport with an “X” gender marker, designed to give nonbinary, intersex and gender-nonconforming people an option other than male or female on their travel document.

“Starting on April 11, U.S. citizens will be able to select an X as their gender marker on their U.S. passport application, and the option will become available for other forms of documentation next year,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement.

Housing Might Become Print-on-Demand

3D Printing your home might not be the most cost-efficient way to build your home today. As a matter of fact, it might be difficult to completely 3D print your home. Still, the potential future for 3D printing in home construction could lead to radically new ways of living as 3D printing of the future will theoretically allow greater design opportunities than current conventional methods do. In addition to that, future homes might one day be highly customizable, as well as recyclable.

As your needs change, your home might need to be changed. It can get bigger or smaller. It can be changed as tastes change. Every 10 years or so you might one day go on a vacation and come back to your new home printed for you, mostly printed using the material from your old home.

3D Printed Homes Will Be the Teslas of Housing, Says ICON CEO

It’s no secret America is in the midst of a housing shortage, with home prices ballooning, supply remaining stagnant, and would-be homebuyers frantic to secure an affordable place to live. Supply chain backups due to the pandemic made building materials more expensive and caused long delays, and there’s a labor shortage too. Worryingly, the situation doesn’t show signs of getting better anytime soon.

In an inspiring presentation at South By Southwest last month titled “It’s Time to Build” (perhaps in reference to Marc Andreesen’s compelling, widely-circulated 2020 blog post of the same title), ICON co-founder and CEO Jason Ballard shared his vision of a new paradigm in homebuilding, and the power of 3D printed houses to change the construction industry.

“I think the homes and buildings of our future are going to have to be profoundly different than they are today,” he said. “Not a little bit different—profoundly different.”

If offered a 100-year-old home versus a home built a year ago, he said he’d take the 100-year-old home. It’s a sad state of affairs; in what other industry would you choose something very old over something brand-new? But construction quality and materials have devolved to a point that this is the reality we find ourselves in.

Replacing Human Organ Donors with Pigs

Someday, we might see pigs replace humans as human organ donors. The process called xenotransplantation, transplanting organs from one species to another, has the greatest opportunity to work between humans and pigs. The future might see pigs that are genetically altered becoming potential organ donors for humans in need, especially for organs such as kidneys, livers, and hearts.

Xenotransplantation has always felt like the next big thing in transplant medicine. There’s no doubt a series of landmark operations have been performed, but only more research will tell us whether the field – and its grand dreams – will ever come of age.

Transplant surgeon Dr Jayme Locke explained: “Our goal would be to have one 10-gene edited pig be able to save a patient with kidney failure, a patient with liver failure, a patient with heart failure and a patient with end-stage lung disease. That would be a remarkable accomplishment and I genuinely believe that we will be there during my lifetime.”

In October 2021, Surgeons in New York City successfully attached a pig kidney to a human patient and watched the pinkish organ function normally for 54 hours. While such procedures have been done in non human primates, this is the first time that a pig kidney has been transplanted to a human body and not been immediately rejected. The procedure, marks progress toward the goal of drastically expanding the supply of life-saving organs. Millions of people around the world are waiting for donated organs, many of which never come.

“We’re never going to satisfy the organ shortage problem with human organs,” says John Scandling, a nephrologist at Stanford University who wasn’t involved in this research. “There’s a limit to the number of deceased donor organs that are viable,” and too few donations from living people.

Welcome to the World Situation Report For April 3rd, 2022

The goal of this column is to present news from around the world that is not often – if ever – covered by more mainstream entities, using local sources wherever possible, but occasionally using news aggregators not used, again, by the mainstream media. Also, please note that we do use links to Wikipedia; while Wikipedia is well-known as a largely-useless site for any kind of serious research, it does serve as a launch-pad for further inquiry, in addition to being generally free of malicious ads. As with anything from Wikipedia, always verify their sources before making any conclusions based on their pages.

This column will cover the preceding week of news.

North America

Starting off in the United States, a wave of bomb threats against both shopping centers and various schools kept emergency responders busy across the country this week. While some calls were made by persons calling various locations, there is an uptick in threats of this type being made via social media platforms such as TikTok, from ‘dummy’ accounts; this is interesting, as it may signal an evolution of the waves of mass robo-call bomb threats against K-12 schools that plagued the United States and several European nations several years ago. The Freedomist will continue to monitor the situation, to see if this suspicion develops into a trend.

Turning to Mexico, an “operator” of the Sinaloa Cartel, one Manuel Andrés, alias “El Griego”, was assassinated in a restaurant in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, just over the border from Arizona, yet another casualty in that country’s long-running drug- and gang-related violence.

South America

Turning to South America, the advocacy group Human Rights Watch (HRW), issued a report on the 28th of March accusing the army of Venezuela, long-suffering under the rule of dictator Nicolás Maduro, of actively aiding Colombia’s National Liberation Army (ELN) against the forces of a rival guerilla group, the so-called “Joint Eastern Command” – a little-known breakaway faction of the mostly-demobilized Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). According to HRW’s report, the rival guerilla groups began skirmishing in January of 2022, fighting over control of territory and illegal activities in Colombia’s Arauca state and Venezuela’s Apure state, with reports of mass kidnappings, assassinations of local leaders and waves of internally-displaced refugees numbering in the thousands attempting to flee the violence.

In Columbia proper, meanwhile, national leaders blamed the bombing of a police station which killed two children and injured 39 others in the Colombian capital city of Bogota last week on other, unspecified dissidents of the FARC.

This comes as a report of some 11 FARC dissidents belonging to the splinter faction “Segunda Marquetalia” were killed in skirmishing with Colombian forces near the nation’s southern jungle town of Puerto Leguizamo. Many of the various splinter groups to have rejected the 2016 ceasefire and official disbanding of the FARC have gone to work as muscle for various cocaine cartels, guarding the coca fields and the resultant shipments.

Africa

In Africa, the Nigerian state of Abuja saw a sudden spate of violence, as unidentified gunmen abducted traditional ruler His Royal Highness (HRH) Alhaji Hassan Shamidozhi. This comes as bandits attacked a train from Abuja, bound for Kaduna. Army units promptly responded to the attack on the train, reportedly carrying nearly one-thousand passengers, but reports indicated that some number of people were kidnapped by the attackers, and carried off. Elsewhere along the same rail line, police bomb squad units defused an IED planted on the rails near the town of Rigasa.

In the Central African nation of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), rebels of the “M23” group reportedly shot down a United Nations (UN) helicopter (reportedly an Aérospatiale SA 330 Puma), killing eight peacekeepers and UN observers, six military personnel from Pakistan, and a pair of observers from the Russian Federation and from Serbia in the country’s North Kivu province. The group, attached to the UN’s MONUSCO mission in the country, were assessing the situation in the province, following a wave of attacks in the region by the M23 group that has sent thousands fleeing for safety. The M23 group has denied the attack, claiming that the helicopter was shot down by DRC armed forces.

On the continent’s Indian Ocean coast, Mozambique’s government made a statement that its army, the Mozambique Defense Armed Forces (FADM), had conducted a “successful operation” in the Macomia District of the nation’s Cabo Delgado province, reportedly destroying a “hideout”. This comes shortly after another operation, on Matemo Island, part of the Quirimbas Islands group, that reportedly killed some twenty Islamist terrorists from ISCAP. However, the conflict – simmering since 2017, with occasional bouts of significant combat – is difficult to report on, as Mozambique’s government actively restricts reporting on the conflict.

The Middle East

The region remained largely quiet this week, “quiet” in comparison to the normal regional news cycle. In a surprise announcement on March 30th, the Saudi-led coalition fighting the Houthi government in Yemen said that it was suspending military operations in the Arabian Peninsular nation, as a goodwill gesture to allow peace talks to take place between the various Yemeni factions, in an attempt to end the long-running civil war in the country. This comes, as the Saudi government “blacklisted” some ten individuals and 15 entities for facilitating the financing of the Houthi movement.

In Pakistan, six Pakistani soldiers were killed, along with three terrorists, in an assault on an army post in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on the 30th. Meanwhile, other insurgents blew up a rail line near the Kotri area of Sindh province; no groups had claimed responsibility for the attack as of press time. Elsewhere in Sindh, a special antiterrorism court sentenced Zahidullah Suleman and Bismillah Haji Lala to death for plotting an attack on the Sindh Assembly building in an attempt to rally support for a war against the state. The court also laid down life sentences on three other defendants – Muhammad Qasim, Inamullah Bilal and Gul Muhammad – on a range of charges including possession of explosives, police encounter and attempted murder.

Southern Asia

Finally, turning to India, police in Rajasthan arrested several suspects believed to be connected to Islamist terror groups, seizing approximately 12kg/26lbs of completed explosive devices and bomb-making components. Elsewhere, India remained mostly quiet, although a scattering of IED’s, most suspected to have been placed by Maoist Communist insurgents, injured several people throughout the “Red Corridor“.

How Can We Think About This 21st Century War?

by Betsy Dorminey

Mature Language Warning

Faced with the horror of the unfolding war in Ukraine a young linguist of my acquaintance decided to conduct a bit of “man in the street” polling, 21st-century style.  The original post featured a screen shot of a Russian language post: her notes and translation appear below.

I speak a little Russian, so I’ve been reading the Russian-language side of Reddit.  Selection bias since it’s Russians posting on Western media, but since it’s *in* Russian it should be mostly free of trolls.  Most of them are really not happy with Putin.  Again, my language skills are rough but my translation:

Title:  Jesus Christ, where we’re headed is completely insane

Text:  Fucking hell, it’s already been six days of this shit.  Six days of following this clusterfuck and I can’t believe this isn’t a simulation, that it’s not some experiment on hamsters.  I’ve already gone stark raving mad, I can’t sleep from the panic.  What’s next?  How can we live like this? Why are the war hawks yelling “this is what Ukrainians deserve, our fight is righteous!”  Why the fuck does anyone support this goddamn regime?  God fucking fuck dammit HELP

Translator’s note:  hard for me to translate the vast arsenal of curse words in the Russian language, the post was peppered with them.

The official line, of course, is different.  State-controlled media portrays it as a “special military operation,” “de-nazification,” or “protection of Russian-speaking peoples.  But as Sean Illing reports in Vox dissenting journalists have fled and we know Russians are protesting the Ukraine invasion.  The state has imposed draconian penalties on dissent.  (Fifteen years in the slammer for using the “w” word!)  This expletive-laden cri de coeur really brings it home.

Good news is hard to find.  As Kyle Smith observes in The New York Post, journalism suffers when “what neutral principles do we stand for?” is replaced by “which side are we on?” Either you live in an authoritarian country like Russia where government controls the media, or you live in an authoritarian country like the U.S. where the media controls the government.  Ironic, isn’t it, since technology empowers anyone with internet access and a keyboard to reach the world.  You have to hunt, and peck. Fortunately there are clever youngsters out there who know how to bypass parental/governmental controls through social media.

Forget war crimes, treaties, the UN, and international tribunals.  War is a crime against humanity.  Killing people and destroying their homes is bad, and wrong.  Pious accords and laws on the conduct of warfare don’t make it right, or better.  An exceptional article by Dexter Filkins in the September 8, 2021  New Yorker asks, “Did Making the Rules of War Better Make the World Worse?”  Our obsession with rules has attempted to persuade us that wars can be legally waged in accordance with them.  No fair targeting civilians, okay?

Filkiins focuses on Humane: How the United States Abandoned Peace and Reinvented War,  by Samuel Moyn, a professor of history and of jurisprudence at Yale.  Moyn evokes Clausewitz and Tolstoy, Sherman, Afghanistan, and the My Lai massacre, and identifies a turning point in 1977 when the Geneva Convention was updated to impose rules on combatants where hitherto only destructive force had prevailed.  Moyn bemoans such legal niceties for damping the public outcry that should induce politicians to end such conflicts:  “”Humane” war [i]s a consolation prize for the failure to constrain the resort to force in the first place.”  (extra quotation marks mine.)  Protest is how a population responds to war and strives to end it.  See above.

It’s far from clear that having military lawyers second-guess generals has produced less war, or a safer world.  In the end, force will out.  As Joseph Stalin reportedly asked, how many divisions has the Pope?  I’ve got to believe Putin is familiar with that line.

Filkins takes issue with some of Moyn’s conclusions, but agrees in the end that “efforts to curb the cruelty of military force may have backfired.”  Fleets of drones and “smart bombs” and oceans of intel haven’t kept us out of armed conflicts.  For all its military might the United States hasn’t really “won” a war since 1945.  And, having just concluded two “forever wars” – Iraq and Afghanistan – Filkins cautions that the U.S. may be on the brink of a new cold war.  Or a hot one.

Conventions about how to wage war within limits have reduced the incentives to stop fighting. I can only hope that the players moving these lethal chess pieces around the Kievan Rus will stop and think a minute.  Assuming, of course, that they can gain access to reliable news about it.

Because, to echo the Russian post, what the fuck? We can’t live like this.
