Disney channels return to YouTube TV after brief disappearance

Recap: YouTube and Disney reached an impasse late last week that resulted in the disappearance of 18 Disney-owned channels from YouTube TV. As YouTube explained, they partner with content owners to bring various channels to YouTube TV and occasionally, these deals need to be renewed. Despite negotiating for several months, the two sides were unable to reach an agreement that both deemed fair before the existing contract expired, thus the channels were pulled from YouTube’s streaming service.

YouTube TV decreased its monthly rate by $15, from $64.99 to $49.99, to reflect the change.

Cooler heads seemingly prevailed over the weekend as both sides returned to the negotiating table and were able to hammer out a new deal. This means that all of the channels that were pulled, including ABC, FX, National Geographic and the ESPN family of channels, have returned. So, too, has the original $64.99 price point.

“Flattered though by tax breaks in Italy, with Germany in particular still sub-50…”

Mr Jessop outlined what other EU countries were sitting at in comparison to the UK – with both Germany and France trailing behind.

For November, France was sitting at 51.6, with Germany at 47.9.

Mr Jessop added: “More good news on the UK economy (and another sector where Brexit Britain is outperforming Germany and France): the construction PMI climbed to 55.5 in November, from 54.6 in October, with supplier delays and price pressures easing…”

ViacomCBS continues to shed non-core assets, announcing Tuesday a definitive agreement to divest the CBS Studio Center and associated businesses to the partnership of Hackman Capital Partners and Square Mile Capital Management for $1.85 billion.

The company said the transaction was the result of a widely marketed sale process, which attracted interest from a number of buyers for the Los Angeles studio lot. The property sits on a 55-gross-acre site in Studio City and consists of over 1 million square feet of space, including 22 stages, production office and support buildings, third-party tenant offices, a purpose-built broadcast center and filmable backlot locations.

“This sale is part of an ongoing optimization of ViacomCBS’ real estate and operations portfolio and will allow the company to re-deploy capital to strategic growth priorities, including streaming,” said CFO Naveen Chopra.

Efforts to unionize Amazon workers have been met with failure, but no one has come closer than the Alabama facility in pulling it off. A recent election where Amazon got the result the wanted (union vote failed) has been declared null and void by the NLRB and will have to be run all over again.

See, folks, sometimes people cheat to win elections. It’s true.

In response, the Biden administration is choosing option one in blaming others for your own authoritarian failues, he’s blaming the oil companies, accusing them of intentionally spiking gas prices. He’s even written a letter to the FTC asking them to investigate these oil companies over price control charges. The problem is, the FTC just completed that investigation and found no proof to back up the desperat blame deflection claims of this mass mailer regime.

The U.S. and the EU have announced a settlement regarding the U.S. Section 232 duties on European steel and aluminum products. As part of that settlement, the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) announced that the 25 percent tariff on imports of steel and 10 percent tariff on imports of aluminum products from the EU will be replaced with a tariff-rate quota (TRQ) system. In return, the EU will suspend the 25 percent retaliatory tariffs on certain U.S. goods (e.g., bourbon, motorcycles and recreational boats, among other products) in response to the initial Section 232 measures. Both parties will also suspend the disputes they initiated before the World Trade Organization in relation to these measures. The U.S. and EU have also agreed to launch a global arrangement focused on addressing excess capacity and carbon objectives. The U.S. TRQ will become effective on January 1, 2022, and the EU’s retaliatory tariffs will be removed on the same day.

This would be a major blow for them, as around 40,000 tonnes of fish from UK ships pass through it annually.

On top of this, existing checks on the produce – which are free under an agreement signed in 2003 – would end, Mr Puissesseau warned.

The United States just acknowledged that the reason American markets were opened to China, the reason we would share our technology with China was a failure, yet no change to continuing to keeping our markets open to China, and our technology still regularly being shared with China.

That reason was this, that American capitalism would transform China from an authoritarian government to a democratic one. The United States just admitted not only that this didn’t happen, but that it never will, AND the United States doesn’t even want to change China anymore. We just want to make money in peace so we can fund our private projects at home without being held accountable to the American markets we can now wholly monopolize and control.

Tom Wolf might be dipping into some illegal action with his recent decision to have the State of Pessnylvania join the Regional Green Gas initiative. In essense, it’s a multi-state cap and trade scheme that seeks to work around legislatures where they might not be so amendable to such schemes.

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf (D) is on the precipice of deciding whether Pennsylvania should join the Regional Green Gas Initiative (RGGI), a multistate “cap and trade” agreement that sets limits on CO₂ emissions. Joining the RGGI could result in the closure of power plants, job losses, and a loss of energy independence for the United States. Yet the governor doesn’t appear to care. Nor does he appear to care that the study used to justify joining RGGI is deeply flawed or that he may lack the legal authority to make the decision to join.
