Over at UnSkewedPolls.com they’ve uncovered what amounts to a major, smoking gun story of betrayal, lies, and just plain malpractice.

With precision and overwhelming evidence UnSkewedPolls.com has revealed how the Progressive Media are skewing polling data, often by as much as 15 points, to give Obama the appearance of inevitable victory.

All of this is designed to demoralize your opponent, energize your base, and discourage donors from supporting the opponent. The funny thing is, these media outlets aren’t the campaign, although they are acting as if they are, and not disclosing these “in kind” campaign donations. This kind of bias might explain recent findings about the media’s plummeting credibility- over 60% view the media as untrustworthy, according to Gallup, with the partisan divide being rather stark.

We’ve queried among the inside-the-beltway types we know about this and, not surprising, they tend to believe the media and take a rather jaded view of the veracity of this polling analysis. Some internal polling we are aware of seems to back up UnSkewedPolling.com’s take on matters, but to the insiders this is all just “wishful thinking.”

Election day will prove whether this new polling analysis is useful or not, although we understand the new site will be launching its own internet-based weighted polling data using the 2010 election and party affiliation as its baseline.

Real health care reform should involve:

1. Stopping the restriction on Americans from buying health care insurance or assurance from outside their state

2. Protecting American’s right to buy health care insurance or assurance as individuals

3. Protecting Americans’ right to buy insurance as they see fit, including only catastrophic care

4. Requiring direct payment by patients with costs fully disclosed by providers and rebates to the insured for getting better prices

5. Removal of all money spent on health care from consideration as earned income for the purpose of determining tax rates

6. Creation of a national health exchange via the states (not via the feds- throush a compact) for pre-existing conditions coverage for people who were below 150% of the poverty rate or who, regardless of income, lost coverage

7. Prohibition against dropping the insured after they have been disagnosed with an illness

8. Special protection for mutual assurance alternatives via fraternal societies or buyer’s cooperatives

These are just my initial thoughts.

Reading the proverbial political tea leaves, in light of the Drudge red letter update, I am predicting Condoleezza Rice gets the stamp of approval from Romney’s wife.

Romney’s wife is not a show pony, she’s active, engaged, and has strong opinions, and more than a little horse sense.

Rice is respectable, smart, and will likely excite many voters, including independencts and conservatives. Liberals will hate anyone who runs.

I think Rubio or Demint would be great picks, I still wish Palin was on the ticket at the top, but Rice would be a bold, surprising, but not really risky move- just up Romney’s alley!

If you roll your own cigarettes to avoid the high taxes on cigarettes, the 2012 Highway Bill has a provision tucked inside that is meant to essentially deem small tabacco shops that offer roll-your-own supplies as “manufacturers.”

This provision would potentially force up to1,000 shops to shut down and force everyone who smokes to rely on expensive cigarettes.

While anti-smoking activists applaud the rule, along with many Tabocco companies who compete with the roll-your-own providers, critics are wondering how this matter was inserted, unbeknownst to everyone but the staff who inserted it, into a highway bill.

The inclusion of non-related items in otherwise popular or vital bills is a tried and true method of getting something that might be unpopular by itself to be passed.

Roll-your-own activists are demanding repeal and lobbying President Obama to agree not to enforce this section.

Adriano Espaillat is alleging that Charlie Rangel’s primary win in New York’s 13th Congressional District may in fact be based on fraud and voter suppression.

Espaillat trails the 42 year veteran Congressman by 2.6% according to vote tallies but Espaillat’s campaign is demanding both a recount and a Federal investigation into their allegations of voter suppression.

According to report, numerous Hispanic voters were given provisional paper ballots instead of being allowed to vote in the normal manner and, it is alleged, those ballots were not actually counted.

While some consider these accusations to be sour grapes by the losing side, others take the allegations seriously as, regardless of their merit, failure to address them could undermine public confidence in the electoral process.

Espaillat also alleges that his campaign was not given an adaquet opportunity to monitor the vote counts and is demanding that, during a recount (which they are demanding) there will be adaquet monitors from both campaigns.

While less than 1.000 votes separate the two men and while Espaillat had conceded the race, at least 6% of the vote has yet to be counted.

People in the Mid-Atlantic region, from Maryland through DC to Virginia and West Virginia suffered a string of storms with high winds. The “land hurricane” came out of nowhere and left about 3 million people without power initially in sweltering high temperatures with high humidity.

Currently, as of this writing, about 1 million people are still without electricity. Especially hard hit is DC itself which, last night, June 30th into July 1, was shrouded in darkness.

As an aside, political campaigns, including both Romney and Obama, continued to crank out fund-raising emails to people hard-hit by the storms causing many to be offeended. The Romney camp sent out one email while the Obama campaign sent out two emails. People running for Congress, Senate, and State offices also sent fund-raising emails.

In DC as many as 789,000 were without power, half are still without power, and much of the federal government’s buildings in the city remain without external power, though on-site generators are keeping vital areas powered.

In some locations, gas stations are without gas and people have to drive out of the area to get fuel.

People are gathering at local restaurants of places like Starbucks or at cooling stations and pools to beat the head: many are posting online after connecting to the web via local coffee shop that still have power and are posting pictures.

President Obama called the governors of Maryland and Virginia, who declared a state of emergency after the storms, to promise Federal assistance.

By over 250 votes, with 17 Democrats joining them, the House has held Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt.

Shifting the subject from Holder’s outright refusal to produce the documents related to the Operation Fast and Furious cover-up, Democrats walked out in a priggish huff intimating that this is a “witch hunt” and that it’s about “racism”.

Holder is suspected of covering up details of an operation that had no arrests and that many suspect was a ploy to create a crisis on gun proliferation on the border so as to justify gun control. The operation did not track weapons or people and not one arrest, let alone conviction, was obtained.

Over 300 Mexicans lost their lives and thousands were injured by the hundreds of weapons that were bought by informants with US tax dollars and given to drug warlords.

Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered by one of the drug gangs that had been given these illegal weapons.

President Obama’s signature achievement of “Obamacare” is nothing less than the single largest tax on the working poor in American history.

Within a few years, a working family with two adults will pay at least $1400 in taxes per year, even if they earn only $20,000 per year. This amounts to a flat tax of 7% for a struggling family, a loss of over $110 per month in take-home pay.

The progressives have “come out of the closet” as a party by politocrats, of politocrats, and for politocrats which depends on tax farms and voting farms to feather its ever more luxurious nest. In the name of helping the poor this party of politocracts has made every American their slave.

Will the Republic devolve now into a progressive empire where government rules the People instead of the People ruling the government.

This morning the Supreme Court ruled on what is known as “Obamacare” by supporters and opponents alike.

The court ruled that the individual mandate is a “tax” and is therefore LEGAL, shocking observers and outraging Constitutionalists.

The media had initially guessed that the court would rule 8-1 in favor of the mandate but in the weeks leading up to the ruling conventional wisdom shifted against such an outcome.

Obamacare supporters felt that an ruling against the health care law would set America back and undo what they say as historic progress, while opponents said that if the ruling favored the individual mandate, under the commerce clause, it would be like saying there is no limit to Federal power.

Outraged Americans, most of whom oppose the law as an afffront to the very concept and principle of a limited, Constitutional Republic, are no considering, as one said to us, “that the courts are no longer a viable means of hatling the slide towards turanny” and that “other means” will have to be discovered and employed in the fight to stop the federal goverment from becoming the new Soviet empire in America.

Of course, proponents are delighted and consider this an historic win for their side, which does not believe in a constitutional republic but which embraces a form of democratic socialism like what Europe has.
