Algeria’s Foreign Minister Ramdane Lamamra accuses Rabat of ‘hostile actions’ as Algiers breaks ties with its neighbour.

Algeria is cutting diplomatic relations with Morocco, Foreign Minister Ramdane Lamamra said, accusing its neighbour of “hostile actions”.

Morocco and Algeria have had strained relations for decades, mainly over the issue of Western Sahara.

“Algeria has decided to cut diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Morocco from today,” Lamamra said at a news conference on Tuesday.

“The Moroccan kingdom has never stopped its hostile actions against Algeria,” he said.

The cutting of diplomatic relations is effective from Tuesday but consulates in each country will remain open, Lamamra said.

Morocco’s Foreign Ministry could not be immediately reached for comment.

King Mohammed VI has called for improved ties with Algeria.

Algeria last week said lethal wildfires were the work of groups it has labelled “terrorist”, one of which it said was backed by…

The Children’s Crusade of America Afraid of “Misinformation”

Ivo Fysic- 49 percent of Americans support government censorship to protect them frommisinformation. 59 percent of Americans prefer the Corporations fill the role of protecting them from misinformation. What does that say about America today? –

PGC – Pew released a poll result that is sure to concern the remnant of Americans who still see the pragmatic usefulness of preserving and even re-instating, the standards of the Bill of Rights across this broken land.

In a span of 3 years, after the rise of corpowoketarianizm, after the onslaight of Covidtopia (to the few who benefit from shuttting down and stigmatizing most of humanity), Americans are growing weary of the responsibility of being adults that steward their own lives. In 2018, a shocking 39 percent of Americans supported government censorship to keep disinformation from reaching the masses. Today, that number stands at an even more shocking 49 percent.

As if to give some comfort, the polling data also shows that 59 percent of Americans prefer the Corpowoketarianz control the definition of truth and lock all unorthodoxy out of the digital public square. Americans are afraid of being adults.

We have been infantalized, and our politicians increasingly talk to us as if we are children, and enact laws and emergency orders assuming that we are. If this poll is a true reflection of the spirit of America, well, the infantalization is complete. Americans are afraid of being adults and they can’t imagine anyone else being adults either, unless they’re experts or government officials or badged ‘officers.’

Americans lack the basic understanding of liberty to see that surrendering the definition of truth to the powerfully advantaged will only result in one thing, disinformation becomes truth and truth becomes disinformation. The powers that be have a new toy, and Americans across this land have consensually handed that power over to them. At a time when we have little to even connect with one another as Americans through, these Americans are turning their backs on the Bill of Rights, for freedom is something that only responsible adults can face with courage, and this land is not a land of adults.

The children’s crusade is officially begun, to borrow from Kurt Vonnegut. The chidlren are leading a sucide war against the remaining adults with the hope that, at the end, after a few more people disappear, deliverance from fear arrives and puppies and lollipops roll across the skies for your amusement.

These crusades end in death, for the target, and for the targeting. The children don’t survive the campaign. And those that do, are never whole again. America, grow up, it’s time to take on your stewardship, it’s time to stand up for your Bill of Rights and your neighbor’s as well.

Poll: More Americans want government to stop misinformation online – KATV

According to a Pew Research poll out this month, 48% of adult Americans say the U.S. government should take steps to restrict false information online; even if it means limits on freely publishing or accessing content. That number is up from 39% who said that in 2018.

More Americans, 59%, would rather see tech companies take on misinformation.

Pew’s data shows the divide between Democrats and Republicans on this issue has widened in the past three years. In 2018, 40% of Democrats, or people who leaned Democratic, and 37% of Republicans, or people who leaned Republican, said the U.S. government should take steps to restrict false information. In 2021, it was 65% and 28%, respectively.

“What we’re seeing is just kind of a reaction to what they are hearing from the politicians that they are voting for and from the media that they’re consuming,” said Andrew Selepak, a social media professor at the University of Florida.

Ethiopia Looks to Nationalize Social Media

PGC – Ethiopia has announced it intends on building its  own social media platforms to prevent silicon valley from determining what is truth and what is good.   They are not the first to make this move.  China was the first, and they certainly won’t be the last.  The reason why has to do with the personal needs of the leaders of the nation-states these platforms are now controlling by controlling their public discouse.  These individuals saw the writing on the wall back in 2020.

When Facebook and Twitter moved to check the social media access of the American President of the United States, many leaders around the world, even if they might openly celebrate the move, took serious pause and asked themselves this question, “How much power do these international social media companies have to affect our national sovereignty?”

Well, that’s the dishonest question they ask themselves, the one that preserves their nobility and prevents them from seeing the self-centered motivation behind the concern.  Every leader looks into the mirror and sees Alexander the Great. It’s hard to be Alexander the Great when a power that is located in foreign lands has the ability to alter your political fortune by the particular ideology or morality it chooses to enforce upon your lands.

I predicted at the time that nations would be moving in short order to nationalize their social media platforms.  China is far ahead of the rest of the world in this regard, having rejected American Silicon Valley expansion and choosing to develop their own CCP-approved social media platforms inhouse.  Their social media platforms are already nationalized.

Outside of China,  my suspiicion was the nations that would choose such a route would be the less powerful ones, just as I thought it would be the less powerful nations willing to take more dramatic chances with cryptocurrencies (which we see in El Salvador, which has made it the legal tender of their land).  Ethiopia is just such a nation, and it has a real need to control narratives as it is in the midst of a civl war that feeds on the extreme fears and hopes of peoples who have suffered authentic injustices.

Ethiopia has been battling with Facebook over what it censors and what it does not, so now, it’s had enough.  It has decided to develop its own social media network, something well within the capacity of most nation-states, even the smaller ones.  The biggest expense in social media is in the servers and the human monitors.  If your platform is serving only one nation, your cost of operation goes down to levels that allow almost any nation-state, and many larger free associative groups (if they so chose, and they will,in time, they will) can afford to develop and support.

The leadership of Ethiopia might not be proponents of free speech themselves, but they are the first of a small few among many to follow among nation-states to take the route that they are choosing now.  The balkanization of the internet is coming, and Silicon Valley’s hubristic assumptions it could play God with morality and truth is to blame for creating the conditions that made it worth the investment of nation-stations to blunt.  Nation-states are led by individuals, individuals that look in the mirror and see Alexander the Great, a man that would never tolerate the gordian knot of distant power controlling nation-state public discourse and opinion, that’s Alexander’s job, not yours.

Alexander would march to the Silicon Valley and shell it to a fine powder.  Short of that, he would build walls to keep it out, even if it meant he had to build new digital roads within.

Ethiopia to build local rival to Facebook, other platforms

ADDIS ABABA, Aug 23 (Reuters) – Ethiopia has begun developing its own social media platform to rival Facebook (FB.O), Twitter (TWTR.N) and WhatsApp, though it does not plan to block the global services, the state communications security agency said on Monday.

Ethiopia has been engulfed since last year in an armed conflict pitting the federal government against the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), which controls the Tigray region in the country’s north.

Supporters of both sides have waged a parallel war of words on social media.

The government wants its local platform to “replace” Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp and Zoom, the director general of the Information Network Security Agency (INSA), Shumete Gizaw,

said.

Shumete accused Facebook of deleting posts and user accounts which he said were “disseminating the true reality about Ethiopia”.

International human rights groups have criticized the Ethiopian government for unexplained shutdowns to social media services including Facebook…

Biden Just Handed the Taliban Hundreds of De

PGC – Thanks to the efforts by Joe Biden to assure the collapse of Afghanistan doesn’t happen too close to the 2022 elections (which would be bad for the DNC, the CCP knockoff import from China masquerading as an American political party), the Taliban now have hundreds of death-dealing, high-tech missiles it inherited from the Afghan government it just defeated thanks to the hasty American retreat.

Taliban May Have Inherited ‘Hundreds’ of Missiles From Former Afghan Government

The Taliban, its al Qaeda ally, and the renegade ISIS-K terror group may have inherited hundreds of deadly shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles from the fallen Afghan government’s weapons depots, experts say.

The exact number of missiles and their origin, kind, age and viability are hard to come by. A 2019 report by the RAND Corp. think tank put the total at an alarming 4,500, but according to experts, that figure is unreliable, and almost certainly represents the number of MANPADS—Man-portable air defense systems—acquired by successive Kabul regimes going back decades. It’s highly unlikely that Washington supplied any to Kabul, experts explained. Any left today likely represent a fraction of those acquired by the Taliban regime overthrown by the U.S. in 2001, or its predecessors.

Still, if even a fraction of MANPADS fell into the hands of the Taliban, Al-Qaeda or ISIS-K, an Islamic State faction active in Afghanistan and elsewhere nearby, that would be…

PGC – The natural outcome of Corpowoketarianz is the Chinese State.  Moves made by the Chinese State recently against an enemy shared by both the DNC and the CCP, Chrisitans, echoes the cancel culture mentality of ersatz Americans but with more state permission to act coercively against dissenters.  The Chinese State is now paying its citizens to go out and find Christians and turn them in, like the Germans asked their people to turn in Jews under Hitler.  They’ll pay you for it, just as Hitler paid his people to do the same thing, just as this American state would happily do if we were disarmed and didn’t grow up with an assumption of liberty thanks to the Bill of Rights.

A new reward system is being used in China as a way to crack down on Christians who engage in “illegal religious activities.”

Earlier this month, the Meilisi Daur District in Heilongjiang Province’s Qiqihar city released “The Reward System For Reporting Illegal Religious Activities Offenses,” saying informants could be eligible to receive 1,000 yuan ($150), China Christian Daily reported.

The measure aims to “strengthen the control of illegal religious activities in the district, prevent any COVID-19 cluster resulting from religious gatherings, mobilize the public to engage in preventing, suppressing illegal religious activities, and ensure a harmonious and stable religious landscape,” the announcement said.

Those reporting an incident can submit their tip by phone, through email, or by writing a letter.

Reportable offenses include unqualified religious personnel, unauthorized trans-regional activities, preaching and distributing printed religious works, audio-visual products…

Solid State Batteries Can Now be 3D Printed

Parker Davis- Someday when you need a new battery, you might just print it out for yourself.  Sakuru Corporationhas has developed a new solid state battery hat can be 3D printed.  The battery is 50 percent small and 30 percent lighter than its lithium-ion counterparts but provides just as much power, maybe even more.

California-based Sakuú Corp. has started work on a 2.5 MWh per year pilot facility to produce its 3D-printed solid-state battery tech.

Work is under way on a pilot production line to demonstrate a 3D-printed solid-state battery technology.

Sakuú Corp. said the battery will be up to 50% smaller and 30% lighter than lithium-ion batteries, and would be less expensive to produce at scale. Currently, the battery has a capacity of 3 Amp hours.

Sakuú’s first-generation batteries use an MIT-developed binder jet printing process, which allows thin layers of ceramic and metal to be deposited in one build. The 3D printing process is relatively slow, but enables the batteries to be smaller and lighter, something that the company said could make them optimal for electric vehicles.

Sakuú is also testing high-voltage cathodes, which it said could achieve up to a 25% boost in energy density in its KeraCel solid-state battery.

The company said the 3D printing platform…

The Taliban were in position near the Panjshir valley and had retaken three districts in northern Afghanistan that fell to local militia groups last week, a spokesman said on Monday, though there were no confirmed reports of further fighting.

The districts of Bano, Deh Saleh, Pul e-Hesar in the northern province of Baghlan were taken by local militia groups last week in one of the first signs of armed resistance to the Taliban since their seizure of the capital Kabul on August 15.

By Monday, Taliban forces had cleared the districts and were established in Badakhshan, Takhar and Andarab near the Panjshir valley, according to the Twitter account of spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid.

That Time Star Wars Almost Created a War Between Tunisia and Libya

Mark Clouse- In 1976, Star Wars was being shot in the desert of Tunisia at a time when tensions were high between Tunisia and its neighbor Libya.  The Libyans, seeing the filming from a distance, mistook the vehicles of Star Wars for military vehicles and almost attacked Tunisia over it.

With its blazing sun and unspoiled sand dunes, the Tunisian desert was perfect, and principal photography began on March 22, 1976….

Libya was ruled by dictator Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.

Relations between Gaddafi’s Libya and almost everyone else in the world were tense. The colonel was undoubtedly nervous following a failed coup against him just the year before. Libyan relations with Tunisia were particularly poor, with Libya expelling thousands of Tunisian workers the same month that principal photography on Star Wars began in the desert. The situation only worsened when Tunisia claimed to have uncovered a plot targeting high-ranking officials, and that Libya was involved. They even alleged that Gaddafi was plotting to assassinate then-Prime Minister Hadi Nouira.

And now we go back to Star Wars. You see, from a distance, Sandcrawlers can look quite like military vehicles…

Substack Moves to Insulate Itself from Corpowoketarianz Hate by Accepting Bitcoin as Payment

PGC – As the talentless boundary invaders that are the corpowoketarianz mainstream comic books industry see their profits disappear, their sales plummet, the talented ones are leaving the perverse sinking ship to head to substack to create what they want, how they want.  This is causing apoplectic seizures on the part of the corpowoketarianz who are looking for a way to destroy substack and any platform that dares allow human beings to escape their tyrannical control.  That effort got a lot harder when Substack moved to accept Bitcoin as payment on its platform.

Rainbow Cops Will Make UK’s LGBTQ Feel Safe

PGC – The disarmed UK is light years ahead of America in developing and carrying out the anti-liberty agenda of corpowoketarianizm.  They’re so far down the path of anti-liberty that they have now determined the police are apparently primarily here to make sure the LGBTQ feel safe, while everyone else is arrested for daring to even look at them in a midly non-friendly way.  The bobbies of Britan have decided that rainbow police cars are worth a spike in budget expense to assure the LGBTQ feel safe, not concerned that that rainbow has become a militant political flag of hate aimed at those who stand outside the new normative of this perverse cult, that heterosexuality is a disease that must be cured.

The new ‘hate crime’ cars coming soon to UK police forces (Instagram/@yourpolice.uk)

UK police are facing heavy criticism for a new fleet of rainbow-coloured squad cars they claim will boost “confidence” among the LGBT+ community.

The “hate crime cars” will be introduced in forces across the country in a bid to encourage more victims of anti-LGBT+ crimes to come forward to police.

Currently as many as 80 per cent of LGBT+ people don’t report hate crimes to the authorities, according to Stonewall, but police believe their colourful cars will change that.

“They get all the police insignia put on them as normal, but there will be normally something added on that is to do with the rainbow side of things,” said Julie Cooke, deputy chief constable of Cheshire Police.

Explaining the initiative on social media, she said that the “cost is quite minimal”, but is assured that the impact is “huge”.

“Actually the cost is quite minimal but the confidence that it can…
