The U.S. Virgin islands is accusing JPMorgan Chase of protecting Jeffrey Epstein from criminal prosecution while knowing he was an offending pedophile. The island territory is seeking $190 million from the firm for its role in covering up Epstein’s crimes.
The documents they use show former JP Morgan executive Jes Staley testified under oath that he shared the news of Jeffrey Epstein’s 2006 indictment for CEO Jamie Dimon, which contradicts Dimon’s statements he knew nothing about Epstein’s pedophilic past and accusations.
In the filing, the territory claims, “Many e-mails over JPMorgan e-mail between Staley and Epstein demonstrate that Staley had personal knowledge of Epstein’s sex trafficking.
From the Daily Mail UK:
The bombshell new filing claims that Epstein introduced Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin to former JPMorgan executive Jes Staley by 2003, and that Brin went on to become one of the bank’s wealthiest clients.
It also alleges that Epstein was a source of ‘many other ultra-wealthy clients and connections’ for JPMorgan, including Bill Gates, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, the sultan of Dubai, and billionaire hedge funder Glenn Dubin, among others.
