After former Democrat Mesha Mainer, a Georgia State House representative from District 56, came out in support of school choice, her own Democrats decided to bring out the long knives and attempt permanently cancel her from life like she was a white male praising God in a public square. The former Democrat decided enough was enough, and rightly separated from the party of sedition, coming over to the GOP.
She told Fox News, “When I decided to stand up on behalf of disadvantaged children in support of school choice, my Democrat colleagues didn’t stand by me. They crucified me. When I decided to stand up in support of safe communities and refused to support efforts to defund the police, they didn’t back me. They abandoned me. For far too long, the Democrat Party has gotten away with using and abusing the black community. For decades, the Democrat Party has received the support of more than 90 percent of the black community. And what do we have to show for it? I represent a solidly blue district in the city of Atlanta. This isn’t a political decision for me. It’s a moral one.”
Perhaps the most indicting comment she made was this, “It’s ironic. I’ll say every election year, I hear ‘Black Lives Matter.’ But do they? I see every other minority being prioritized except black children living in poverty that can’t read.”
School Choice is a powerful tool in the hands of the disenfranchised stuck in abysmal school districts that have no fear of losing “customers” due to critically failing to serve them. The opposition to school choice by the DNC-CCP is one of the most telling actions by the party of deception that feigns being on the side of the “disenfranchised.”
Their opposition to school choice shows that their psychotic need to seek to control the hearts and minds of children (like all groomers share) overrides their compassion for the disenfranchised.
