The following is a commentary designed to provoke Christian thought and debate around one question- if we give our vote to a godless, abomidable Party that denies the need for God’s truth in our laws and public policy, are we ourselves participating in their godless rejection of Jesus Christ? I say, yes, if Christians give their votes to ANY member of such a godless Party that officially rejects God and His righteousness, then they are personally guilty of that Party’s sin and have fallen from Grace. You cannot serve both God and mammon, you cannot be both a Christ-follower and a supporter of a godless Party!
America has rejected God, primarily through the godless Democrats who have embraced a godless secularism that defies the truth of God with their love of so-called “gay marriage” and abortion, among other godless beliefs and practices.
The Democrats reject, out of hand, any notion that any beliefs they deem to be based on morality or religion should have any influence over public policy- even if the People VOTE for policies and laws that reflect their beliefs.
Democrats have a peculiar version of “democracy” in which ONLY ideas mined from the depths of their godless beliefs are “allowed” as options for voters. This is like the “democracy” of the USSR where voters could only choose from a slate of candidates picked by the Party.
Democrats want to limit YOUR choices to a slate of ideas, excluding every idea they deem to be “religious” or “moral” and in so doing they are in total rebellion against God.
Republicans are not always much better, but they do not officially and consistently deny the value of religious beliefs, or the participation of people who have strong religious or moral beliefs, in the public policy debate. The Party, as an instution, does not officially reject the need for guidance from the Word of God, but the Democrats do.
We must seriously question the spiritual sanity of any so-called “Christian” who throws in their lot with the Democrats. Christians who can’t support the Republicans or a third party candidate do better by not voting than to give their vote to a godless Party that is the single-greatest champion of blasphemy and abominations in this nation’s history.
On National Repentance Day let us repent of our participation in the godlessness of the Democratic Party and by denying our votes to ANYONE who is a member of this godless and abomidable Party.

THE PRESIDENT: Good evening. Tonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda, and a terrorist who’s responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women, and children.
It was nearly 10 years ago that a bright September day was darkened by the worst attack on the American people in our history. The images of 9/11 are seared into our national memory — hijacked planes cutting through a cloudless September sky; the Twin Towers collapsing to the ground; black smoke billowing up from the Pentagon; the wreckage of Flight 93 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where the actions of heroic citizens saved even more heartbreak and destruction.
And yet we know that the worst images are those that were unseen to the world. The empty seat at the dinner table. Children who were forced to grow up without their mother or their father. Parents who would never know the feeling of their child’s embrace. Nearly 3,000 citizens taken from us, leaving a gaping hole in our hearts.
On September 11, 2001, in our time of grief, the American people came together. We offered our neighbors a hand, and we offered the wounded our blood. We reaffirmed our ties to each other, and our love of community and country. On that day, no matter where we came from, what God we prayed to, or what race or ethnicity we were, we were united as one American family.
We were also united in our resolve to protect our nation and to bring those who committed this vicious attack to justice. We quickly learned that the 9/11 attacks were carried out by al Qaeda — an organization headed by Osama bin Laden, which had openly declared war on the United States and was committed to killing innocents in our country and around the globe. And so we went to war against al Qaeda to protect our citizens, our friends, and our allies.
Over the last 10 years, thanks to the tireless and heroic work of our military and our counterterrorism professionals, we’ve made great strides in that effort. We’ve disrupted terrorist attacks and strengthened our homeland defense. In Afghanistan, we removed the Taliban government, which had given bin Laden and al Qaeda safe haven and support. And around the globe, we worked with our friends and allies to capture or kill scores of al Qaeda terrorists, including several who were a part of the 9/11 plot.
Yet Osama bin Laden avoided capture and escaped across the Afghan border into Pakistan. Meanwhile, al Qaeda continued to operate from along that border and operate through its affiliates across the world.
And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta, the director of the CIA, to make the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priority of our war against al Qaeda, even as we continued our broader efforts to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat his network.
Then, last August, after years of painstaking work by our intelligence community, I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden. It was far from certain, and it took many months to run this thread to ground. I met repeatedly with my national security team as we developed more information about the possibility that we had located bin Laden hiding within a compound deep inside of Pakistan. And finally, last week, I determined that we had enough intelligence to take action, and authorized an operation to get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice.
Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. No Americans were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian casualties. After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body.
For over two decades, bin Laden has been al Qaeda’s leader and symbol, and has continued to plot attacks against our country and our friends and allies. The death of bin Laden marks the most significant achievement to date in our nation’s effort to defeat al Qaeda.
Yet his death does not mark the end of our effort. There’s no doubt that al Qaeda will continue to pursue attacks against us. We must –- and we will — remain vigilant at home and abroad.
As we do, we must also reaffirm that the United States is not –- and never will be -– at war with Islam. I’ve made clear, just as President Bush did shortly after 9/11, that our war is not against Islam. Bin Laden was not a Muslim leader; he was a mass murderer of Muslims. Indeed, al Qaeda has slaughtered scores of Muslims in many countries, including our own. So his demise should be welcomed by all who believe in peace and human dignity.
Over the years, I’ve repeatedly made clear that we would take action within Pakistan if we knew where bin Laden was. That is what we’ve done. But it’s important to note that our counterterrorism cooperation with Pakistan helped lead us to bin Laden and the compound where he was hiding. Indeed, bin Laden had declared war against Pakistan as well, and ordered attacks against the Pakistani people.
Tonight, I called President Zardari, and my team has also spoken with their Pakistani counterparts. They agree that this is a good and historic day for both of our nations. And going forward, it is essential that Pakistan continue to join us in the fight against al Qaeda and its affiliates.
The American people did not choose this fight. It came to our shores, and started with the senseless slaughter of our citizens. After nearly 10 years of service, struggle, and sacrifice, we know well the costs of war. These efforts weigh on me every time I, as Commander-in-Chief, have to sign a letter to a family that has lost a loved one, or look into the eyes of a service member who’s been gravely wounded.
So Americans understand the costs of war. Yet as a country, we will never tolerate our security being threatened, nor stand idly by when our people have been killed. We will be relentless in defense of our citizens and our friends and allies. We will be true to the values that make us who we are. And on nights like this one, we can say to those families who have lost loved ones to al Qaeda’s terror: Justice has been done.
Tonight, we give thanks to the countless intelligence and counterterrorism professionals who’ve worked tirelessly to achieve this outcome. The American people do not see their work, nor know their names. But tonight, they feel the satisfaction of their work and the result of their pursuit of justice.
We give thanks for the men who carried out this operation, for they exemplify the professionalism, patriotism, and unparalleled courage of those who serve our country. And they are part of a generation that has borne the heaviest share of the burden since that September day.
Finally, let me say to the families who lost loved ones on 9/11 that we have never forgotten your loss, nor wavered in our commitment to see that we do whatever it takes to prevent another attack on our shores.
And tonight, let us think back to the sense of unity that prevailed on 9/11. I know that it has, at times, frayed. Yet today’s achievement is a testament to the greatness of our country and the determination of the American people.
The cause of securing our country is not complete. But tonight, we are once again reminded that America can do whatever we set our mind to. That is the story of our history, whether it’s the pursuit of prosperity for our people, or the struggle for equality for all our citizens; our commitment to stand up for our values abroad, and our sacrifices to make the world a safer place.
Let us remember that we can do these things not just because of wealth or power, but because of who we are: one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

David Wilkerson, the man best known for writing the autobiographical book, THE CROSS AND THE SWITCHBLADE, and also the founder of the worldwide Christian Outreach ministry for youth, TEEN CHALLENGE, was killed instantly today in a car crash in Texas. He had recently moved to Texas, where he lived for the last 13 months. He leaves behind four adult children, two sons and two daughters.
Details of the accident are not yet available, but THE FREEDOMIST has learned that his wife, Gwen, has been life-lifted to a hospital in critical condition. THE FREEDOMIST asks our readers to pray for Gwen and the Family of David Wilkerson that must now come to grips with this sudden and terrible loss.

We remember David Wilkerson for his stunning message he delivered not too long ago about the state of Christian America, the state of the Kingdom of God, A CALL TO ANGUISH, which we encourage our readers to listen to again, and remember a great man who left a powerful legacy in the lives of thousands, if not millions.
For my fellow Christians, I call on you to repent for letting the kingdom fall to ruins. I call on you to know anguish, the anguish of death, the anguish of lost souls. Then I call on you take your place at the wall, and rebuild.
For my fellow Freedomists, I call on you to repent for letting this nation be ruined by corruption, concentrations of power, and the silence that followed Kelo v New London, where the Supreme Court granted powers of the land to any government that chose to take it.
More on David Wilkerson’s life: from wikipedia Wilkerson served as a pastor in small churches in Scottdale and Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, until he saw a photograph in Life Magazine in 1958 of seven New York City teenagers charged with murder. He later wrote that as he felt the Holy Spirit move him with compassion, he was drawn to go to New York in February 1958. It was then that he began his street ministry.
Wilkerson is well-known for these early years of his ministry to young drug addicts and gang members in New York City in the 1950s and 1960s. He co-authored a book with John and Elizabeth Sherrill about his work with the New York drug addicts, The Cross and the Switchblade, which became a best-seller. Included in the book is the story of the conversion of gang member Nicky Cruz, who later wrote the autobiographical Run Baby Run about his own life. The Cross and the Switchblade has sold over 50 million copies in over thirty languages since it was published in 1963. In 1970, a Hollywood movie based on the book starred Pat Boone as Wilkerson and Erik Estrada as Cruz. The book was included on Christianity Today’s “The Top 50 Books That Have Shaped Evangelicals” [1]
In 1958, Wilkerson founded Teen Challenge, an evangelical Christian recovery program and a network of Christian social and evangelizing work centers.[2] In 1967, Wilkerson began Youth Crusades, an evangelistic ministry aimed at teenagers whom Wilkerson called “goodniks” — middle-class youth who were restless and bored. His goal was to prevent them from becoming heavily involved with drugs, alcohol, or violence. Through this ministry, the CURE Corps (Collegiate Urban Renewal Effort) was founded. It was intended to be something of a Christian version of the Peace Corps and Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA).
In 1971, Wilkerson moved his ministry headquarters to Lindale, Texas, where he founded World Challenge, an organization whose mission is to promote and spread the Gospel throughout the world.
In 1986, while walking down 42nd Street in New York City at midnight, Wilkerson believes that the Holy Spirit called him to return to New York City and to raise up a ministry in Times Square. This resulted in the establishment of Times Square Church, which opened its doors in October 1987. The church first occupied rented auditoriums in Times Square (Town Hall and the Nederlander Theater), later moving to the historic Mark Hellinger Theatre, which the ministry purchased in 1989 and in which it has operated ever since.
Since the 1990s, Wilkerson has focused his efforts to encourage pastors and their families throughout the world to “renew their passion for Christ”. In his own words:
“I’ve been an evangelist for 50 years, but I didn’t want to preach to pastors until I had gray hair, until I’d pastored. Now after 15 years of pastoring, sharing the hurts, pains, and difficulties of the ministry as a pastor, I felt the Lord finally release me, that I might have something to say
America Must Choose: EITHER Freedom For All OR Progressive Slavery For All
The Progressive war on Freedom takes many forms, from taxes and debt-spending to “legalizing” so-called “gay marriage” against the People’s wishes, from massive new regulations to constantly demonizing Freedom advocates, like the Tea Party.
Freedom is in jeopardy: either Progressivism is trounced and denounced by American society or American society will become a society of slaves on the Progressive plantation!
What is Freedom?
Well, Freedom is one of those self-evident things you either get or don’t get. Because Freedom is self-evident, people who are good at rhetoric often parse it and cut it up until they have turned it on its head.
Freedom literally means “the dominion of the free.” Dominion means laws and self-government, and what laws can be better than laws rooted in a godly approach to the way we treat each other and God’s Creation?
If laws must exist and if it is inevitable that every law is based on some kind of belief, ideal, idea, or principles, then it is reasonable to say that Biblical ideas and etc as related to how we treat each other and nature are the best ideas.
Freedom requires “free” people pursuing godliness, self-reliance, and self-determination and having “dom” (dominion) over their lives, their rights, and their property without being threatened.
The two primary elements of freedom are liberty and security.
Liberty comes from “libertas” in Latin, which stands for “the power of freewill under law.” So we speak of godliness (as it relates to the way we treat each other and nature) as the basis of law. We speak of the ability of individuals, their free associations, and their communities to be self-reliant as the aim of law. We speak of the self-determination of the People through a process of consensual decision-making as the means by which we make law.
Security means “to be safe from threats of harm of all kinds and from all sources”- this is security for our rights (personal and shared), our persons (from conception and until natural death), and our property (personal, shared, and common).
If we lack Liberty in all its elements and Security in all its elements, Freedom is in jeopardy.
Freedom is not conditioned on the state, it doesn’t come from men, either one or a few men on one hand or a majority of men on the other hand. It cannot be created by vote or edict, neither can it be subjected to or limited by vote of edict!
In the end, if Freedom is threatened for some, it is threatened for all. We all have to decide if we are Free, if we want to be free, and how we can make ourselves more Free in fact than we are now.
We truly OWN our Freedom from God, but if we continue to agree with our Progressive opponents that Freedom depends on edicts or votes, then we will helplessly watch as all of our Freedom is taken from us.
At present, it remains to be seen whether Americans will put Freedom ahead of their own parochial or factional interests by rejecting every Progressive politician, judge, and institution that tries to offer them 30 pieces of silver (at taxpayer expense) if they will only surrender more Freedom.

Japanese workers are on a suicide mission, if need be, to save their country from nuclear meltdown. Meanwhile the Japanese politeness bubble is preventing the facts from getting out.

Japan’s Heroic Battle Against A Nuclear Melt-Down
The crisis at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant is moving into uncharted territory as workers deliberately risk their lives, and at least their health, to battle an ongoing nuclear melt-down. One worker, identified by the Japanese news service, NHK, is a 59 year old man who was just 6 months away from retirement- in agreeing to stay and battle the nuclear melt-down he was encouraged by his wife who urged him to “do your best to save the nation.”
Despite what is emerging as a heroic effort by workers on site to battle a nuclear melt-down, every hour seems to carry more bad news. What began as a crisis of one nuclear reactor has become an international nuclear crisis featuring three explosions, two fires, and radiation spikes that can be felt over 200 miles away (albeit not to deadly proportions outside of the 12 mile evacuation zone).
While the GE workers who were on site, as part of an ongoing GE contract to maintain the GE produced reactors, fled and were withdrawn by GE, the Japanese workers have stayed and are almost certainly in jeopardy of being over-exposed to high levels of radiation.
Getting to the truth, however, has been somewhat sketchy as information flowing out of the plant’s operator, Tokyo Energy Company (TEPCO) and the government has often been vague or outright wrong in light of actual observable events. As a “for instance”, while TEPCO and the government were touting the line that there is “no appreciable health risk”, the government was sending in workers in radiation-protection suits to test evacuees and some 190 persons have experienced some form of “radiation sickness.”
Part of the problem appears to be cultural, The Japanese pride themselves in being polite, which often translates to not being too direct. One American teacher in a news interview explained this with a story about how he was scolded once for asking for a day off. The problem wasn’t that he wanted a day off, the problem was his directness- he was told he should HINT about a NEED for a day off, thus giving his boss an opportunity to show magnanimity by OFFERING him a day off. By asking directly for a day off, he was being “rude” and not letting his boss have an opportunity to OFFER him the day off without having to be directly asked.
This may explain why the Japanese had such a hard time with asking for foreign aid during the Kobe earthquake crisis. By asking directly, not giving the foreign governments a chance to see the need and offer help, the Japanese would have been “rude.” This time around the US and other governments were very pro-active in offering help, and therefore the Japanese were able to quickly accept that help.
As TEPCO and the Government release news and information, observers who are aware of the Japanese culture of politeness are trying to “read between the lines” to see what is REALLY being said, while, for their part, the Japanese seem to be getting more direct, realizing that most foreign observers will not get their indirectness. Last night the Japanese government spokesman announced the withdrawal of workers from the plant and, in a very un-Japanese manner, was extremely explicit. He said that the workers were all withdrawn, that not even a minimal amount of work could be done, and that efforts to combat the nuclear meltdown were at a stand-still.
This directness is not customary and, while in America we expect such directness, in Japan, this directness is itself an alarming sign of how serious things are. Because these things were said to the Japanese audience, in Japanese, it may not be so easy to dismiss the directness as a concession to foreign observers, although it may in fact be pressure from foreign governments that is compelling the Japanese to speak so directly.
If over-statement is a characteristic of the middle eastern cultures, from time immemorial, under-statement is a characteristic of many far-eastern cultures. The West’s penchant for exactitude is seen as being “unsophisticated” by both cultures, leading to much confusion as to meaning and intent.
In their own sophisticated way, the Japanese are telling a tale of a massive localized crisis that could potentially have greater health implications for a larger region if it is not contained by what may amount to a suicide mission on the part of workers in the plant affected. A middle easterner might call this “Armageddon” while a far easterner might call this “somewhat of a serious problem, potentially”, but the exact truth, in this case, may be somewhere in the middle.
However you see it, most all agree that the heroic workers are battling a monster and their willingness to lay down their lives if need be, where others fled, is truly dramatic! Nobody faults the GE workers for leaving, even if they fault GE itself for the technology and their failure to foresee such a crisis, and this only makes the sacrifice the Japanese workers are willing to make all the more praise-worthy.
To risk your life in general is worthy of praise, but to risk your life against such danger, and almost certainty of serious harm, in a cause that is not likely to succeed, is beyond what anyone could ask.

WE ARE BEING BEATEN ON THE STREETS- In Wisconsin, the GOP stands to lose their recent gains because the Progressives are on the streets and the airwaves with their lies and smears against the governor and the GOP in general. In New York, Progressives and their Pan-Islamic allies are banging the drums for multiculturalism gone amok over legitimate inquiries by Representative Steve King over the emergence of Pan-Islam in America.
Of course the journolist media uses images of large crowds of these paid protestors to paint a picture as if those who are not with the protestors are in the majority.
The Progressives have a central command structure, lots of money, control over the journolist media, and armies of mindless drones who will do and say whatever their paymasters want them to do and say.
NO COMPLAINING WILL HELP US- We can talk about how we think they have some unfair advantages, how they use taxpayer dollars or how they use discrimination to gain control over institutions but none of that is going to help us.
In the end, we need to find a way to marshal superior numbers and more effectively reach out to the public with our message, a message which must be truthful, simple, direct, and repeated often.
What can we do as information providers, writers, bloggers, and new media professionals?
We have the power of instigating ideas into becoming a reality.
This means that if we all create a picture of a possible future, where our side outflanks the opposition on the streets and in the LOCAL media, that activists will pick up those ideas and use them.
This is the way Tea Parties got started.
A few individuals saw Rick Santelli, decided he had the right idea, and started to make noise about it.
I was on some of those conference calls and one of the things we talked about was the need for a nationwide effort that was not controlled from the center. We beat the drum, using our blogs or networks (I promoted things via Freedomist and through Team Sarah), and where possible we lent our resources to help (we own localteaparties.com and taxdayteaparty.org which we used to simply provide information.)
We need to go beyond the Tea Parties to create locally controlled groups of people who will hit the streets when the opposition is hitting the streets, and we need to encourage them to cooperate and coordinate when major nationwide efforts are needed.
On April 4th the Progressives plan something like a “day of rage” for Government Unions. We need bigger numbers to show up and make a visible showing for the People.
These Progressive robots who go out and rally for socialism, under some other disguise, have the advantage of being able to get paid to protest.
Our side needs to encourage employers to let people participate without losing pay, we need to encourage people who can’t attend to donate a little money to help pay for buses, food, supplies to help those who can attend these events.
WE MUST ASSUME PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR INSTIGATING NEW IDEAS- In short, we need to provide ideas and a blueprint, write about them, link to each other, and even coordinate together to hold phone conferences where we can talk about ideas for organizing and invite would-be organizers to attend. Let them set up their own groups and run with the idea, we can simply fade into the background, having done our job.
ONE MAIN IDEA, ONE AGREED UPON NAME- We need a single name for this, and I don’t think “Tea Parties” is the name. Tea Parties will likely sponsor it, and organize it, but this needs its own name.
I propose the name “Freedom Corps” as the name for these local groups of 100-200 participants (people who GO to events) and at least another 200-300 “supporters”, people who pledge to pitch in $10-$50 per event to help offset any costs for buses, lodging, food, and etc. to support the participants.
Of course, larger scale organizing will naturally occur as local groups exchange ideas, coordinate, and decide on a shared structure to plan and organize large scale events. This will continue upwards until a national network of sorts is in place, rising from below (not imposed from above).
OUR ROLE IS TO INSTIGATE AND BACK OFF- Our role, as writers and new media providers, is not so much to organize these groups as to bang the drums on their need and provide ideas for what they should do and how local people might organize themselves to form such groups. If people surf the web and see the freedom corps idea referred to over and over again, they will want to participate.
WE CAN ALL SHARE THE BURDEN- Between us, we can all pitch in on the information side. Each of us might take a part of the country and host an information page where people in those parts can input meeting information or contact information. A shared domain could be used to host a map which you click on to find local information. When people click on an area, it takes them to a page hosted by one of us, which has a way for people to see current information and input new information.
We could also create a twitter group and a hashtag to share information, a facebook page and group, and yahoo groups for mailing lists by region so people can talk to people in their area. This could also be shared work with each of us taking charge of groups or being “on duty” to man the main twitter account to ensure that information is flowing 24-7 during an event (this means that all participants have access to that account.)
NO “ORGANIZATION” NEEDED!- None of this requires an organization, none of us “own” it, and any donations would be made to LOCAL groups who could then share their resources if they join with other local groups to form regional or state networks.
Reagan once said that if you want to get things done, don’t take credit for things. Most of the people who beat the drum and initially pushed the idea for Tea Parties are unknown. It was never intended for it to be otherwise.
WE HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN- If we can encourage people and inspire them, and if we can motivate them and even educate them, and then disappear, that is all fine and well. Our job is not to organize and lead, per se, but, rather, to beat the drum, facilitate things, and then let the participants take over and do their thing.
If people see all of the writers, news suites, and blogs that are pro-Freedom all writing and talking about the SAME BASIC IDEA, then they will feel more confident that it may work and want to participate in it.
DON’T FRUSTRATE THE PEOPLE!- On the other hand, if people see all these blogs, web pages, and news sites all touting THEIR OWN idea, that they want to own, all with different approaches, many of which are contradictory, then they will become bogged down, confused, and they will lose confidence.
ONE VOICE ON A LIMITED SCALE- We need to start finding ways, at least on a limited scale, to speak with ONE VOICE, or the opposition will beat us EVERY TIME. If we cannot do amongst ourselves what we want our elected leaders to do, then what right do we have to demand of them that which we refuse to do ourselves?

Union mobs are being unleashed, with the coordination and assistance of the Obama regime, in order to block efforts to reign in their power and the excessive costs they cause by their mob-like intimidation tactics. (Politico)– The Democratic National Committee’s Organizing for America arm — the remnant of the 2008 Obama campaign — is playing an active role in organizing protests against Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s attempt to strip most public employees of collective bargaining rights.
OfA, as the campaign group is known, has been criticized at times for staying out of local issues like same-sex marraige, but it’s riding to the aide of the public sector unions who hoping to persuade some Republican legislators to oppose Walker’s plan. And while Obama may have his difference with teachers unions, OfA’s engagement with the fight — and Obama’s own clear stance against Walker — mean that he’s remaining loyal to key Democratic Party allies at what is, for them, a very dangerous moment.
As an example, employees nationwide paid 13%~27% (see page 5) of the cost of their employer sponsored health care. Wisconsin teachers currently pay only 4%~6%.

MADISON, WI – We always knew Scott Walker would pursue a right-wing, anti-worker agenda. We didn’t know it would be this extreme.At a time when most folks are still struggling to get back on their feet, Gov. Walker has asked the state legislature to strip public employees of their collective bargaining rights. Under his plan, park rangers, teachers, and prison guards would no longer be able to fight back if the new Republican majority tries to slash their health benefits or pensions.But that’s not even the most shocking part: The governor has also put the state National Guard on alert in case of “labor unrest.”We can’t — and won’t — let Scott Walker’s heavy-handed tactics scare us. This Tuesday and Wednesday, February 15th and 16th, volunteers will be attending rallies at the state capitol, put together by our organized labor allies. The vote could come as early as Wednesday, and we need to speak out now to show lawmakers in Madison that we’re not only paying attention; we’re fired up and ready to act.
The Wisconsin state government is under siege by radical progressive fundamentalists seeking public largesse for state employees at taxpayer expense. Using the phraseology of democracy, freedom, liberty, and revolution., the state employee’s unions are working to prevent the democratically elected government from enacting fiscal reforms designed to get the state’s excessive state employee expenses under some semblance of control.
While the Progressive journolist media spins this organized assault on democracy as a “popular uprising” many in Wisconsin are seeing in it an exposure of the true nature of the teachers and their union: that they are radical Progressives whose vision for America is based on the concepts of central planning elites redistributing wealth from producers to people who mindlessly vote for the Party and the over-paid and under-accountable state employees who rely on their votes to keep their “programs” in operation.
A counter-demonstration, which could potentially lead to violence as the Progressive extremists are already threatening violence and have already carried out acts of sabatoge and vandalism on state property, is being planned by numerous groups. Many, however, are considering just driving to the State capital themselves to confront what they see as a manufactured, astro-turf effort to impose the will of the Unions OVER and against the expressed will of the People.
The regime of Progressive domination through discrimination, intimidation, and deception is being challenged like never before and now the Progressives are appealing to rule of a mob, incited and hired by a few elites, to shout down and assault any opponents. Activists for Freedom who recognize in teacher’s unions an institution that is totally given over to the radical Progressive agenda for an America under a one-party secular welfare state (the People’s will be damned), are organizing and mobilizing and may be showing up on site in the next few hours or sometime tomorrow.
The scope of the Progressive insurgency and its sudden appearance may have surprised some, but it is also evidence in and of itself of its premeditation by Progressive elite leaders who are using these contrived mobs as weapons against the People’s will in Wisconsin. What is potentially being set up, with the Obama regime sticking its Progressive nose into the State’s affairs is a mini-civil war between freedom minded citizens and Progressive elite and their plantation denizens, namely public employees who care more for their own life of ease than the very fiscal survival of their state.

There is no more news from this source, however such reports are coming in such numbers as to suggest a systematic assault is under way aimed at nothing less than a Progressive hostile takeover of the State Government.
Citizens of Wisconsin are called upon to go to the capital to DEFEND THE PEOPLE’S DEMOCRACY from the Progressive revolution that is under way, with Obama’s support!
Obama has called the bill to limit the Union’s ability to hold taxpayers at gunpoint and force concessions “an assault on unions”, to which some respond, “assaulting Unions is a good thing, they are not much more than a cancer on the American economy and a detriment to true democracy!”
Godwin’s Law states that any political argument, carried on long enough, will eventually provoke a Nazi reference. My own personal corollary to Godwin’s Law is that the first side to invoke it invariably loses, mainly because Nazis and Adolf Hitler are simply not analogous to normal politics in American democracy, unless one is discussing actual neo-Nazis. It exposes a clear lack of historical literacy about the Nazis and the history between the two World Wars of the last century. It’s the kind of argument favored by the relatively uneducated.
That’s what makes the protests in Wisconsin over Governor Scott Walker’s proposal to curtail the power of public-sector unions so deliciously ironic. Hot Air reader Tim R in Madison took his camera with him when he attended the large protests staged by the teachers against the budget bill that would require contributions for pensions and health insurance, as well as put new curbs on collective bargaining. Tim discovered signs like this at the protest yesterday at 6 pm just after the speakers concluded:
The first wrong is how teacher unions have come to operate. Clearly, unions need to reinvent themselves if they want to remain viable in the 21st century, and old-school policies like “last in, first out” (LIFO) and the fact that in many places it’s almost impossible to fire a bad teacher don’t serve anyone’s best interests. We can do better.
Teachers and students in Wisconsin are protesting Governor Scott Walker’s budget bill. But it’s not a mark of democracy: instead, teachers have been taking kids out of school to march on the Capitol in Madison. It’s being called a “sickout” — and it’s illegal.

The Wisconsin teachers union is going all out, or maybe all in is the better term, to try and stop needed reforms. Are they totally oblivious to what’s going on in the country, what happened last November? I can’t believe they are that dense, but in fact, there is a really good reason for their response. .The union’s survival is threatened. Here’s the numbers.
According to the Weekly Standard, the average Wisconsin teacher’s salary ( not including benefits) is $50,000. The cost of the proposed contributions to the retirement and medical plans will be 5%..let’s say $2,500. And because these contributions will be on a BEFORE-TAX basis, let’s assume the out-of pocket (after-tax) cost will then be $2,000/year.
Union dues are $1,100. And under the proposal, teachers will no longer be required to join the union. So..to the teacher now facing a $2,000/year reduction in take home pay..where’s the easiest, most obvious place to cut..Why, of course..union dues.

The rapid and surprising fall of Tunisia, the sudden reversal of the Sudanese government’s hold over the south (allowing for the free vote of southern Sudanese for independence), the riots in Egypt and now Yemen, the simmering opposition in Iran, the re-emerging insurgency in Iraq, the unrest in Pakistan, the ongoing insurgency in Afghanistan, and the emerging opposition in Lebanon to a Hezbollah take-over of the country are all signs pointing to widespread discontent in the Middle East and throughout the Arab and Muslim world or Islamic Civilization.
Freedom will out.
This means that the aspiration for freedom that is such a part of the human condition will rise to the surface and lead people at times to flee or to rebel.
On the other hand, the forces of total-control which envision a strong government as the head and master of all things, with total political regulation and control over all things in life, are always seeking to counter and suppress this drive for freedom.
What we are witnessing in the Islamic Civilization is a clash between these two forces; the natural thirst for human freedom, which for women and non-Muslims especially is in such contradiction to the way most non-Western Muslim clerics interpret the Holy Writ of their faith, and the forces of total-control which see government as the vehicle for an imposed religious ideology as a vision for society and “solution” to their problems.
The thirst for Freedom is imperfect and often in seeking freedom people choose snake oil cures sold by crafty demagogues or prophets and wind up without gaining freedom despite strenuous efforts and sacrifices.
While Islamic Civilization is indeed in a phase of imperialistic expansion, seeking to conquer new territories and bring more people under the dominion of its religious ideology, it is also essentially at war with itself. On one hand, differing versions of the thirst for freedom and on the other the Sunni and Shia visions of the total-government implementation of their “solutions” to the problems they face in the form of a religious ideology.
It is difficult for us, on the outside, to classify these events on an individual basis as being this or that version of total-government or this or that version of freedom-seeking.
In Egypt, for instance, one sees total-government seekers like the Muslim Brotherhood seeming to join with freedom-seeking students and Coptic Christians in one single uprising against the Mubarrak dictatorship.
Is this one event a total-government seeking event by radicals against a comparatively religiously moderate regime or a freedom-seeking event against total-government in general? For some protestors it is an effort to move towards a more radical form of total-government and for others it is a move towards more freedom and less government in general.
It is in times like these that governments under threat look for scapegoats.
The Iranian government, while its leaders genuinely hate Israel and the West as part of their radical Shia Islamic faith, is using external foes to distract its populace from the internal situation which so many find distasteful and which they increasingly oppose. The attempted Iranian take-over of Lebanon, which some see as near completion, is but another gambit in an overall campaign to find external scapegoats and make their own people drop their opposition to the regime.
As this winter of discontent potentially become a spring uprising governments under pressure will look to a scapegoat, and that scapegoat for the Islamic civilization is now the Jew and the Jewish state. Indeed, if Israel did not exist as the Pan-Islamic bogeyman to keep the populace from thinking too much about the failure of their own governments, it would have to be invented.
The fact is that most of the disputes the nations and peoples of the Islamic civilization have with the non-Islamic world are contrived inventions by a ruling elite meant to make oppressed women and minorities and poor, exploited workers and peasants forget the real source of their misery- their own governments and the religious ideologies those governments follow.
To say that Sharia law is to the 21st century what the Communist Manifesto was to the 20th century (and remains in some circles as well as China) is not entirely off-base. Sharia law, whether Sunni or Shia, is a total-government approach to a pan-Islamic religious ideology that enslaves and oppresses human beings, robbing them first of their rights, persons, and property and then of their dignity.
Today, the Islamic Civilization, almost across the board, is facing its own potential demise as the impetus for freedom clashes with the total-government religious ideologies that dominate most Islamic nations today. This does not mean that this civilization will collapse, but it does mean that the governments of Islamic nations will increasingly oppress their own people while going out to find external scapegoats, making them, at best, unpleasant neighbors.
Relativism, Multiculturalism, and Drugs Led To Gifford Shooting
The triple crown of liberalism is relativism as opposd to absolute truth, multiculturalism as opposed to tradition and virtue, and self-indulgence (in the form of drug use) as opposed to self-discipline. Is this what led to the shooting in Tucson, Arizona?
Thanks to the tenets of relativism, the Arizona man who tried to murder a member of Congress, and who murdered 6 others, including a 9 year old girl, was able to imbibe in the worse possible ideologies without any real social constraints on such thinking or context.
Was the shooter’s avowed love of Karl Marx or of Mein Kampf, both manuals for totalitarianism, questioned or were his studies of these writings put within the context of writings of our Founders or the Bible? In our present culture, imposed as it is from above, he would not have received such instruction that might have dissuaded him from embracing the hatefulness of Marx and Hitler.
When the murderous young man was rejecting a culture of life and love and justice, would this present imposed culture have provided any context or social pressure to dissuade him from his chosen path? No, the multiculturalists don’t believe in any kind of “judgment” of “other cultures”, just like they refuse to “judge” the pan-Islamic culture of Jihadism and intolerance.
Finally, the murderer was imbibing in mind-altering drugs, the kind that many want to see made illegal, the kind that many like to say are harmless. Marijuana, possibly cut with other chemical substances, gave the shooter the drive, the daring, and the twisted beliefs that allowed him to grab a weapon and murder other people.
Today, as America stands in shock and anger, hard questions need to be asked about America’s illicit affair with relativism, multiculturalism, and drugs. The left is to blame for these kinds of things, the left is ultimately the first cause of this kind of shooting.
Perhaps this is the reason why the left, knowing how their idolatrous love for such things is the root cause here, tried to hang the label “Tea Party” around this young murderer’s neck.

Think about this. Freedom requires participatory self-government, but once a society has determined its values, natures, and characteristic norms, then one is justly bound to respect that, obey that, or failing this, to leave that society for another.
This theme of liberty within the just and useful limits of godliness (virtue) is almost universal amongst those who wrote our Constitution and whoever chooses to ignore this chooses to ignore the law of the People’s right to rule.
“(T)he foundation of our national policy will be laid in the pure and immutable principles of private morality; …the propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained…” George Washington, First Inaugural, April 30 1789
“Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. ” John Adams
“Political interest [can] never be separated in the long run from moral right….
Can the liberties of a nation be sure when we remove their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people, that these liberties are a gift from God? ” Thomas Jefferson
And HOW do we secure such freedom rooted in godliness, self-reliance, and security of our rights, persons, and property?
The intent of our Founders was that we protect this freedom ourselves, not that we rely on others, especially government, to be the sole possessors of arms for such defense.
“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms… disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes… Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. ” Jefferson’s “Commonplace Book,” 1774_1776, quoting from On Crimes and Punishment, by criminologist Cesare Beccaria, 1764
“When the resolution of enslaving America was formed in Great Britain, the British Parliament was advised by an artful man, who was governor of Pennsylvania, to disarm the people; that it was the best and most effectual way to enslave them; but that they should not do it openly, but weaken them, and let them sink gradually…I ask, who are the militia? They consist of now of the whole people, except a few public officers. But I cannot say who will be the militia of the future day. If that paper on the table gets no alteration, the militia of the future day may not consist of all classes, high and low, and rich and poor…”

The Founders even considered the problem of Pan-Islamic Imperialism, or “terrorism” and dealt with it by waging unrestricted warfare on its practitioners, going to North Africa and attacking the “Barbary States.”
In 1786, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson met with Tunisian leaders representing the so-called “Barbary States”, which were pirating the oceans and attacking US merchant ships and taking Americans hostage. This is how they summed up their enemy, and that same enemy exists today, now in a form of Pan-Islamic Imperialism called “terrorism” or “Jihadism.”
“We took the liberty to make some inquiries concerning the Grounds of their pretensions to make war upon a Nation who had done them no Injury, and observed that we considered all mankind as our Friends who had done us no wrong, nor had given us any provocation. The Ambassador answered us that it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise.”
When you read these and many other quotes like this you might wonder- how would today’s Journolist media and the quisling Progressive radicals in places of high office label our Founders?
