China Builds a Ring of Fire Around Taiwan

The Chinese military was able to completely encircle the island nation of Taiwan, cutting off American assets from potentially coming between China and Taiwan to defend the island. The PRC claims its an exercise to test the capacity of the military, but it comes shortly after a new President was inaugurated who was not the pro-China candidate the CCP backed.

UPDATE: The drills were conducted over the course of two days, with Taiwan accusing China of seeking to intimidate the island nation, though some experts theorize China was testing the response of both Taiwan and the U.S., in addition to seeking to intimidate the island nation. The fact that China was able to execute a complete encirclement of the island without catching U.S. assets within the ring adds credibility to the theory the action was a test and the Chinese seemed to pass it with flying colors.

Military vessels and planes surrounded Taiwan from all sides as the People’s Republic of China (PRC) launched “Exercise Joint Sword” on Thursday to conduct People’s Liberation Army (PLA) exercises in President Xi Jinping’s escalating harassment of the Republic of China (ROC).

The latest attempt at intimidating Taiwan is a “punishment,” according to the PRC, for the ROC’s inauguration of a new president earlier this week, something Beijing views as a “separatist act.”

The drills, some of which involve live fire, are being carried out in the Taiwan Strait, off the island’s north, south, and east coasts, and in the vicinity of smaller islands around Taiwan. The joint sea-and-air exercises include warships and military aircraft and are intended by President Xi and the Chinese Communist Party to escalate its threats against the ROC’s independence and wave off help from Taiwan’s friends and partners.

China on Thursday announced two days of war games around self-ruled Taiwan, encircling the island with naval vessels and military aircraft.

Here’s what you need to know.

Why has China launched these drills?

Taiwan has been self-governed since 1949, when nationalists fled to the island following their defeat by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in a civil war on the mainland.

Beijing considers the democratic island part of its territory and has not ruled out using force to bring it under its control.

MAR-A-LAGO RAID INCLUDED AUTHORIZATION TO KILL – The Mar-A-Lago FBI Raid approved by U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland included authorization to use lethal force, which is standard for all FBI Raids. However, the raid need not have happened in the first place, s it didn’t for Joe Biden, who was given much deferential treatment when the FBI sought to gather his allegedly mishandled top-secret documents.

The agents had instructions to check each room for unaccountable occupants, increasing the risk of an unintended incident at a former President’s residence. The optics of the potential for this raid to go wrong had no effect on the DOJ who could have collected the requested documents without ordering a surprise raid (save to the media who were tipped in advance to assure the event were caught on camera).

GERMANY DECRIMINALIZES CHILD PORNOGRAPHY POSSESSION – Germany’s Parliament has voted to reduce the possession of child pornography from a felony to a misdemeanor. The bill states “possession and acquisition should be punishable with a minimum penalty of three months’ imprisonment, and distribution with a minimum penalty of six months’ imprisonment, and distribution with a minimum penalty of six months’ imprisonment. The offenses regulated in Section 184b of the Criminal Code are therefore classified as misdemeanors and not as crimes.”

The bill’s proponents claim its purpose is to protect parents and teachers of children who download such material for the purpose of sharing it with law enforcement, but the need to decriminalize child porn possession was never needed since all that was needed was an amendment to the law that took such circumstances under consideration.

POTENTIAL U.S. TIKTOK BUYER WANTS TO DECENTRALIZE THE APP – U.S Billionaire Frank McCourt has thrown his hat into the “buy TikTok from the CCP” ring. The billionaire is hoping to turn TikTok into a decentralized app that would be hosted on his decentralized platform Polkadot.

From the press release announcing the bid: … Project Liberty is organizing a bid to acquire the popular social media platform TikTok in the U.S., with the goal of placing people and data empowerment at the center of the platform’s design and purpose… this bid for TikTok offers an innovative, alternative vision for the platform’s infrastructure – one that allows people to reclaim agency over their digital identities and data by proposing to migrate the platform to a new digital open-source protocol.

YELLEN SAYS NO TO GLOBAL BILLIONAIRE TAX – Janet Yellen, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, has let the world know the United States will not be participating in the global billionaire tax scheme cooked up by nations like Brazil and France. The global tax would be intended to redistribute wealth to poor countries, though the methodology through which that wealth would be distributed was not made clear.

Yellen said of the imitative, “We’re not supportive of a process to try to achieve that. That’s something we can’t sign on to.”

BIDEN TIES APPROVAL LOW WHILE TRUMP SURPASSES HIM IN FUNDRAISING – For the first time since April, Donald Trump has beat Joe Biden in the fundraising war, raising $76 million to Biden’s $52 million. The news comes as Biden learns his approval rating has fallen to 36 percent, an all-time low first reached in July of 2022, according to a Washington Post-ABC News Poll.

IRELAND, NORWAY, AND SPAIN RECOGNIZE PALESTINE AS STATE – Three European nations, Ireland, Norway, and Spain, have chosen to recognize the “state of Palestine,” a move that has led to Israel recalling all of its ambassadors from these nations and accusing the nations of attempting to undermine Israeli sovereignty.

Other moves from Israel include an expected total boycott of the three nations, in addition to any ambassadors still in Israel from these countries being compelled to watch video from the October 7 Massacre Israel claims this move by these three nations is giving legitimacy to.

Radical Leftist College Professors Plan on Not Grading Students to Support Death Cult Hamas

Anti-American seditionist college professors are planning on refusing to issue final grades for students, preventing thousands from being able to graduate and seek gainful employment. Their motivation behind this is to force their colleges, most of them publicly funded, to support the genocidal death cult Hamas in its efforts to purge Israel of the Jews.

Washington Square News broke the story, claiming “About 100 graduate student workers and faculty are threatening to withhold final grades until NYU agrees to remove New York City Police Department officers from campus, pardon pro-Palestinian ‘students, faculty, and graduate workers,’ facing disciplinary action and ‘substantively negotiate,’ with student protesters over their demands.”

The action is called a “grade strike,” and it is expected to spread to other universities.

Calls for professors and graduate teaching assistants to withhold assigning grades as a means to strong-arm university leaders into acquiescing to activists’ anti-Israel demands have emerged in recent weeks.

Pro-Palestinian activists at two major universities, New York University and the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, have launched campaigns advancing the strategy, and many instructors have said they would participate.

The tactic is called a “grade strike.”

Horowitz has released a report on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, that claims the Biden administration illegally retaliated against whistleblowers in numerous ways, including illegally immediately revoking their security clearance the moment they identified themselves as whistleblowers.

The report’s key points came in these statements, “As this data reflects, it is unlikely that security clearance reviews, from suspension to a final decision to revoke, are being completed in 1 year… Whistleblower testimony makes clear that the FBI rid itself of employees who dared to speak out against FBI leadership or to raise good-faith concerns about FBI operations.”

A recently published inspector general report, paired with newly released transcripts of one FBI official’s 2023 interview with the House Judiciary Committee, shows that the FBI’s strategy for retaliating against whistleblowers involved suspending their security clearances without explanation or warning.

Jennifer Leigh Moore, who served as executive assistant director for the FBI’s human resources branch until her retirement in June 2023, told congressional investigators that she is “adamant for every employee to be treated fairly and accurately” and that her “whole management principle is around ‘be kind.’”

“No matter what we’re doing, if we’re suspending a clearance, if we’re bringing on board an employee, or if we’re at a retirement, we are always kind,” she told the House Judiciary Committee in April 2023.

Joe Biden’s corrupt Secret Service is showing how badly biased it is by putting Republicans in danger for its national convention by setting different rules for likely dangerous protests for Republicans than it is setting for Democrats.

The GOP is furious that the Secret Service has decided to set the so-called “free speech zone” for the protesters in Milwaukee for the GOP national convention will be kept in Pere Lafayette Park, only a quarter of a mile from the convention venue in Milwaukee.

On the other hand, in Chicago for the Democrat convention, protesters will be kept three miles away from the United Center.

Per the Washington Post:

At the meeting, a Milwaukee police captain also said there were concerns within the community that Republican convention attendees might “terrorize Milwaukee citizens” and “harass minorities.”

“There is fear in the community,” the Milwaukee police official said.

Nick DeSiato, chief of staff for Milwaukee’s City Hall, said that “the captain’s comment reflected feedback from some of our community members.”

The Republicans in the room took umbrage at the comments.

Gert Wilders Will Finally Form the Next Netherlands Government

After six months, Gert Wilders has finally come to an agreement to form a new right-leaning coalition government for the Netherlands. Wilders has mostly run in opposition to what he claims is the EU and globalist mass migration plan for Europe to denude it of its native populations.

Wilders removed his name for consideration for PM, which helped the coalition form. He said of the tentative agreement, “We have a negotiating agreement. But the factions will also discuss it later, so there may be adjustments and amendments… I can’t see this fail.” This is the most “right” leaning the Dutch government has been in decades.

Ratcliffe said, “During my tenure as the Director of National Intelligence under President Trump, and while serving on the Homeland Security and Judiciary committees in Congress, we recognized patent trolls’ ability to exploit our judicial system and serve as puppets for adversaries participating in U.S. litigation as undisclosed third parties. Approximately 60 percent of all U.S. patent litigation is brought by non-practicing entities, often called “patent trolls.” Shell companies are created to buy up broad, unused patents and weaponize them through lawsuits targeting businesses. Nefarious third parties — including foreign adversaries — can fund patent trolls and use lawsuits to access sensitive information, gain an unfair competitive advantage, and advance future litigation campaigns against the same company and others in the industry. This practice reflects a potentially coordinated attempt to use lawsuits to steal intellectual property from American businesses.

Broad and invasive court-ordered discovery in patent infringement cases requires divulging a company’s crown jewels — which might include critical confidential information like source code, engineering specifications, and detailed financial data — to hostile actors funding lawsuits or operating behind a patent troll shell company. This information can take months to gather, diverting key personnel away from their primary tasks and racking up huge legal bills. Despite the use of protective orders, bad actors can still manipulate this process by taking photographs of source code, failing to return documents, and engaging in careless handling of highly sensitive information. And a major ransomware attack against a leading eDiscovery service provider highlights that no system is immune from compromise, regardless of security precautions.
