The challenger has now pulled to within 5 points in a race that appears primarily driven by economic concerns rather than Whitmer’s lockdown tyranny during the Covid pandemic.

New legislation will add training requirements and insurance requirements for the few who get licenses. The bill, if passed, openly defies the basic spirit of the recent SCOTUS ruling that ended such gun control restrictions.
