The Democrats want a breathalyzer in every car so you have to prove you aren’t drunk every time you drive your car.
Tucked into the “bipartisan” infrastructure bill, now over 2700 pages long, is a provision requiring car manufacturers to install these devices in every new car. The way they work, presently, is that when you start to drive it tests you and then randomly tests you as you travel. If it tests positive, you fail to do the test, or the machine has a malfunction, you have so many miles to travel before it shuts your car down. It also monitors your driving and send your information, including violations, to a database.
These devices are being pushed by “Mothers Against Drunk Driving” and, of course, by companies that manufacture them. The devices are notorious for draining your battery even when the vehicle is off, would add a thousand or more dollars cost, and require monthly monitoring fees. Their use would dramatically increase your costs, invade your privacy, treat you like a criminal, and possibly leave you stranded multiple times.
Once again, the ruling class are on a tear, avdancing a new feudalism whereby we, the producers of the wealth they essentially steal, mindless drones on their plantation. This program is not being debated in the light of day, it is being insirted into a massive bill nobody will read in order to be slipped in before we know it.
To Democrats, and their ruling class puppet masters, everyone is a criminal until proven otherwise. But it’s all for “safety”, therefore it’s all good, right? Having a breathalyzer in every car is an easy way to further control the population and keep everyone who isn’t someone in their place.
