NJ GUN LEGISLATION ATTEMPTS TO END CONCEAL CARRY IN VIOLATION OF SCOTUS –New Jersey is set to make conceal carry in the state virtually illegally. New legislation will add training requirements and insurance requirements for the few who get licenses. The bill, if passed, openly defies the basic spirit of the recent SCOTUS ruling that ended such gun control restrictions.

On Monday, a majority of the Assembly Judiciary Committee advanced a bill that would enact some of the nation’s restricted gun laws for concealed carriers, including a new list of restricted places and requiring concealed carriers to have liability insurance.
Last Thursday, New Jersey lawmakers introduced a bill, A4769, in response to the Supreme Court striking down the ‘probable cause’ conditions needed when applying for concealed carry permits.
After reading the bill, it just seems like they are using what they can to tighten restrictions for law-abiding citizens. Nothing I read in the bill seems like it would have any effect on criminals that carry guns to do bad things.
