Wayne Allyn Root makes a compelling case for a Romney landslide in November.  He gives multiple reasons, but the most telling is the statistic comparing the Carter-Reagan election cycle.  Given Obama’s similarity to Jimmy Carter in terms of presiding over a failing economy , the comparison is a particularly effective one.  Wayne Allyn Root points out that at this time in 1980 Ronald Reagan was polling 9 points behind Jimmy Carter, eventually going on to a landslide victory.  Fast forward to 2012 and Mitt Romney is within 4 points, dead even, or even in some polls, already ahead of Barack Obama.

Conservatives, don’t breath easily just yet, though, these times are unlike any other times before, with so many political conventions being shattered in 2010 and already in 2012.  Mitt, don’t take this down as support for you and your ‘moderate’ agenda.  You are merely the benefactor of rising dissatisfaction with our current commander in chief-
