UPDATE- Of all the things Obama said in the debate, this is the most significant and NOBODY is talking about it (which confounds me)- “as soon as we found out that the Benghazi consulate was being overrun, I was on the phone with my national security team“-  the key part of this phrase is- WAS  BEING  OVERRUN- as in- AS IT WAS HAPPENING!  So if he was talking to his national security team AS IT WAS HAPPENING (was being)- then why did he and his administration go out over the next two weeks and push the narrative that this assault on our consulate was triggered by a video?  This culminated in the UN speech on September 25th, a full 14 days after the US Ambassador to Libya was MURDERED.  In that speech, Obama made it clear that this assalt was a result of the video, and he wanted to make it clear the administration had no part in the video- a round about way of apologizing for triggering an assault that got 4 Americans killed and American territory sacked by foreign invaders.

Here is the key part of that UN speech-

“And that is what we saw play out in the last two weeks, where a crude and  disgusting video sparked outrage throughout the Muslim world.  Now, I have  made it clear that the United States government had nothing to do with this  video, and I believe its message must be rejected by all who respect our common  humanity.  It is an insult not only to Muslims, but to America as  well.

For as the city outside these walls makes clear, we are a country that has  welcomed people of every race and every faith.  We are home to Muslims who  worship across our country. We not only respect the freedom of religion, we have  laws that protect individuals from being harmed because of how they look or what  they believe.

We understand why people take offense to this video because millions of our  citizens are among them.  I know there are some who ask why don’t we   just ban such a video.  The answer is enshrined in our laws.   Our Constitution protects the right to practice free speech.”

During the Presidential debate tonight- Barack Obama said “when benghazi was being overrun, I was on the phone with my national security team”- Yet Obama went out and told the world that he was sorry about the video that triggered the assault on Benghazi that saw our US Libyan Ambassador murdered.  This is the smoking gun that proves Obama, Clinton, Carney, and Rice were outright lying when they said the attacks were the result of a riot triggered by a video.
