Last week I wrote about the first of three key strategies to neutralize the lame-duck threat: persuading moderate Republicans.  That strategy, however, may not be enough to stop all of the lame-duck threats, especially on taxes and spending (Judd Gregg of New Hampshire, for instance, seems eager to vote for tax hikes recommended by Obama’s deficit commission). The numbers of U.S. senators inclined to oppose Harry Reid’s runaway lame-duck agenda, however, can be increased on Election Day and that’s where the second key strategy comes in: educating voters in the key special election states whose new senators will be seated for the lame-duck session.

There are three states holding special elections whose winners will be seated as soon as they are certified: Delaware, Illinois, and West Virginia.

Here’s where each state stands.

Delaware is holding a special election for the unexpired four years of Vice President Joe Biden’s term, and insurgent tea party candidate Christine O’Donnell has made a promise to stop the lame duck-agenda a centerpiece of her primary campaign against moderate Republican Mike Castle. O’Donnell has been vocal in her opposition to policies like cap and trade, card check, and tax hikes which are on the lame-duck agenda. She has made a clear public commitment to oppose any major policy changes in a lame-duck session.

Castle recently matched her promise to stop the lame-duck agenda. I asked his staff for a statement from Castle on the lame-duck session and they provided this very strong statement from the congressman: “The only business that should be conducted during a lame-duck session of Congress is keeping the government running until the newly elected legislators are sworn in. I do not agree with those who say this period of time should be used for passing controversial legislation and would not play a role in helping to circumvent the will of American voters.”

Imagine a candidate with the poise and charm of Sarah Palin, the conservative maverick credentials of Senator Jim Demint, the great staff and stolidness of Mike Pence. Imagines a campaign with the campaign savvy of Matt Moran, architect of the NY23 race that was a “near victory” that achieved impossible aims.

Christine O’Donnell, running in a special election to take Joe Biden Senate seat, is the rare, perhaps unlikely, beneficiary of an alignment of unique factors that could propel a solid conservative into the Senate from a center-left state long dominated by Vice President Joe Biden’s folksy, sometimes incoherent form of blue collar liberalism.

A striking campaign drive to raise money for O’Donnel unabashadly takes a jibe at Biden’s propensity to drop –bombs, not only setting herself apart as a candidate who isn’t afraid to wrestle with the leftwing and its PC agenda, but she also sets herself apart from the other GOP contender, whose timidity and moderateness are precisely the the sort of thing rank and file GOP members have grown weary of these past few years.

O’Donnell’s GOP opponent, Mike Castle, is among the most liberal members of Congress and helped co-author the DISCLOSE Act, which we Freedomists Acts refer to as one of Obama’s Intolerable Acts, and is likely to go along with and support any “lame duck” session shenanigens by the Democrats should they lose majorities in the House and/or the Senate.

Because this is a special election, the winner of this Delaware race for Senate will be seated on November 4, 2010 and would be able to support, or resist, any lame duck nonsense Harry Reid, who might himself lose his seat, might consider.

Republican Christine O’Donnell officially launched her campaign for U.S. Senate Wednesday in front of a handful of supporters at the University of Delaware’s Wilmington campus.

O’Donnell, who is described in her campaign website biography as a political commentator and marketing consultant, will face Delaware’s longest-serving U.S. Representative Mike Castle in a September primary.  She wasted no time in going on the offensive against Castle during her campaign announcement.  “Mike Castle is the most liberal Republican in the House.  This is not the year to be a liberal career politician who has consistently voted for the overspending and over-taxation that is bankrupting our country,” said O’Donnell.

Our nation’s founding principles of individual liberty and free enterprise are no longer viewed by our leaders as indispensable. We must stand up to the Washington elites and fight back against a Congress and White House intent on saddling us with their reckless spending, unbearable taxes and unfair policies that stifle our freedom and weigh down future generations with enormous debt.

Our country is going broke. Voters deserve candidates who believe deficits are wrong, and that deficits destroy nations just as surely as they do families. Spending money America does not have has become an appealing option for too many politicians and common sense men and women of America know this is not sustainable.

The Delaware Senate Race is pitting unlikely allies against a Constitutional Republican.

When you start to see the Huffington Post run with the same narrative put out by the Next Right’s founder, Patrick Ruffini, via his campaign marketing firm, then you know “something’s fishy in Denmark.”

Recently, liberals and so-called “professional conservatives” went on a tear against Christine O’Donnel due to the bad behavior of a former staffer, whose innuendo aimed at Castle’s marriage was condemned by O’Donnell. One professional conservative even went so far as to “pull the plug” on Delaware in a fit of confused angst over what Eric Odem, and NOT Christine O’Donnell, said about Castle’s marriage, this despite the fact that his support amounted to an endorsement not followed by any tangible action- one supposes that he thinks his “plug pulling” and his OWN innuendo about her campaign “imploding” will be enough to bury her, although he still says he wants her to win.

Who would have thought one “cool” girl, as James Carville called her, with the brains to boot and a proven track record of standing for the values most conservatives say they believe in, would have drawn out and exposed the difference between movement conservatives and professional conservatives so clearly.

On one hand, we have the new right, led by Ruffini, and the red right, led by professional conservatives ganging up on non-substantive issues to torpedo a real conservative and on the other hand you have the left pretty much taking their cue from the new and red right to help their candidate, Mike Castle, win the GOP primary and ensure that there is no way for the GOP to stop their Lame Duck agenda.

Some might suppose this is a civil war within the conservative movement, but in reality it’s a revolution and the Delaware Senate Race is fast becoming the Lexington and Concord of the Movement Conservatives against the next right and the red right, or whatever else these professional conservatives want to call themselves.

NOTE- for the record, I do not ascribe to ANY notion that conservatives should be colored “red”, this was a media ploy to confuse people who the REAL reds are, the LEFT. Blue has always been the color of conservatives and always will be. A “red” conservative is a conservative who lets the media define who they are, even down to their color, and the terms of the debate, a movement, or BLUE conservative stays true blue to the values and does not let the media define them, not even the color that will represent them!

Mike Castle is a careerist politician who owes his political life to TARP funded banks and who is supported by RINOS and conservative pretenders who think they are the next Right, a right that tends to support liberal candidates and sling mud at conservatives, so not “Right” at all.

Rumored to be possibly one of two GOP Senate votes for Reid’s Cap and Trade, for which he voted in the house, Castle would, if sworn in on the day after the special election, be a likely “get” for the Democrats to have the 60 votes needed to stop any filibuster and push through their agenda in a Lame Duck session.This may explain why the “conservative” next right professionals and the Huffington Post are all slinging the same mud at Castle’s Constitutional Republican opponent and why the Progressives are not on the war path against Castle but they rage against his opponent- while trying to convince us that Castle is our better choice and his opponent is weak.

If Castle’s Constitutional Republican opponent was weak, why would we see the left and the self-styled new Right, who aren’t Right at all, ganging up on her while giving Castle a pass during a primary race? One would think that the left would WANT O’Donnell to win the primary election if they really thought she was weak but the truth is that the left and the new Right, which isn’t Right at all, are threatened by Christine O’Donnell.

What does Mike Castle and his new Left and new Right cheer-leading squad know that we don’t know?

Castle may have more ambitious, and interesting plans, in a state that tends to elect Democrats but which may elect a Republican by virtue of the present anti-majority party sentiment. His track record of supporting Nancy Pelosi in the House, and now with the rumor that he is Reid’s potential filibuster-breaking vote if he is seated, could also signal a long term plan of switching parties, as has been noted at RedState, thus ensuring that even if the GOP narrowly wins back the Senate, Castle is not unlikely to switch sides and give the whole thing BACK to the Democrats, just as Specter did in Pennsylvania.

Mike Castle is not an entrepreneur, he’s not a leader, he’s a Liberal with a capital L and the company he keeps are dirty-tricks specialists who claim to be conservatives themselves but who often enough take sides against conservatives if the money is good!

Christine O’Donnell is a hard-working American entrepreneur and social advocate with a proven track record of putting her values and the pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, and pro-America cause ahead of everything else, no matter her own personal hardships or struggles, which some of her opponents choose to focus on simply because they know that Americans are tired of the Progressive agenda- so instead of running on their own own record of tax-and-borrow and progressive devolution of our Constitutional Republic, they hire establishment professionals who claim to be conservatives to sling their mud for them.

The left fears her, because, as James Carville said, she’s “cool”, the RINOS hate Christine O’Donnell’s anti-Big Government stances like snails hate salt, and the establishment elites even within the “Right” loathe the very idea that someone they don’t have any “access” to who won’t play by their wonkish rules might get elected without their “blessing”.

Her opponents, some of whom CLAIM to be among the next or new “right”, love to focus on small things, on her real life story that many Americans share, a story of trying and not always getting as far as fast as you’d like, a story not unlike Harry Truman’s own “rags to riches to rags to the White House” story!

Christine O’Donnell is not what she is PAYING to the IRS or what her financial reality has been, and to suggest that this disqualifies her from making decisions, compared to the tax-and-borrow liberal agenda Mike Castle pursues with reckless abandon at our expense, is an absurdity many average Americans will see right past.

President Obama has unveiled a plan to streamline and make more consistent the nation’s export controls on weapons and commercial technologies that have a potential for military use.

In a videotaped message to an August 31 export controls conference, the president said his reform will fundamentally change what is controlled and how it is controlled within a system that covers tens of thousands of items.

The president said the changes will strengthen national security by focusing the U.S. government’s efforts on the most sensitive products and technologies and by enhancing the competitiveness of key U.S. technology and manufacturing industries.

Decisions on whether an item requires an export license will be based on a single unified set of criteria, and different government lists of goods covered by export controls will be merged into a single tiered system, the White House said in an August 30 fact sheet. This system will differentiate between categories of military and commercial products based on how critical they are to the nation’s defense interests.

Of the two primary lists the U.S. government maintains, one covers items with direct warfare applications and the other includes commercial products with a potential for military use, such as encryption software and airplane parts.

An initial government evaluation of one product category — military vehicles — found that a more relaxed regime could apply to more than 70 percent of items, and export restrictions could be completely removed from one-third.

“While there is still more work to be done, taken together, these reforms will focus our resources on the threats that matter most, and help us work more effectively with our allies in the field,” Obama said.

Some U.S. allies have complained that U.S. export controls dating back to the Cold War have prevented them from buying U.S. technologies and products essential to their own and common national security interests.

U.S. manufacturers have pushed for years for the relaxation of the U.S. export control system, arguing that it undermines their global competitiveness. An interagency review the president ordered a year ago confirmed that the current system is overly complicated, contains too many redundancies and tries to protect too many items.

Obama has sought changes to export rules as part of his broader initiative to double U.S. exports in five years.

U.S. manufacturers have welcomed the proposed reform.

“These changes are the most important in at least 20 years in terms of defense, aerospace and technology exports,” said Bill Reinsch, president of the National Foreign Trade Council, a group that advocates free trade. “We’re very happy.”

In a conference call, reported by the liberal blog, Reid was quoted as saying he had the support of two GOP Senators.

Reid described the current recess as a “time-out period” for the energy bill, to see if enough Senators can come together and pass it before the end of the year. He did offer a glimmer of hope on one piece that concerns environmentalists, however. Asked if the bill could still include a renewable energy standard, Reid said that two GOP Senators have expressed an interest in such a standard, and he would be talking to them next week. I know that Sam Brownback is one of those two; not sure yet on the other.”

Harry Reid himself may not be too much opposed to the GOP establishment getting its way in Delaware. Mike Castle, currently a Congressman, voted FOR Cap and Trade and is, according to some rumors, thought to be one of the two GOP votes on which Reid is counting. Castle also supported and co-sponsored the “Disclose Act” which would have prevented groups like the Tea Party Express and others from effecting an upset in Alaska, where a GOP establishment candidate fell to a populist candidate, Joe Miller.

Reid’s Lame Duck agenda may be in jeopardy, however, because of the sudden emergence of Christine O’Donnell as the next “Joe Miller” running against an establishment Republican and likely vote for the Cap and Trade multi-trillion dollar tax increase on our energy bills.

O’Donnell’s win would ensure that there are 40 votes in the Lame Duck Session to stop Reid’s massive tax-hike plan from being passed. New developments are changing the situation on the ground. Castle’s presumed shoe-in to the nomination, and with it Reid’s Lame Duck strategy, are in serious trouble!

The reading of the Tea Leaves, which might spell doom for the Castle-Reid Cap and Trade Tax Plan, first emerged in Alaska with Joe Miller’s upset victory over Lisa Murkowski.

Republican incumbent Senator from Alaksa, Murkowski, was achieved mostly by $250,000 of independent spending by the Tea Party Express, according to the Wall Street Journal, which also reported that this same group, the Tea Party Express, will be spending $600,000 in the Delaware race to repeat the Joe Miller upset and replace the “presumptive’ GOP nominee, Mike Castle, with a candidate who will, unlike Castle, oppose Cap and Trade.

In a comprehensive 2007 study of 6,209 middle and high school students spearheaded by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, nine out of 10 LGBT students reported that they had experienced harassment at their school in the past year. Additionally, three-fifths felt unsafe at school because of their sexual orientation and about a third reported that they had skipped a day of school in the past month because of feeling unsafe. Such toxic environments deny LGBT students their right to an equal education and contribute to unacceptably high rates of absenteeism, dropouts, adverse health consequences, and academic underachievement.

Summary:  The Labor Dept is turning to..the world, not America, to develop solutions for finding jobs for Americans.  If the last couple of years has taught us anything it is that as long as we have leviathan International business entities linked together inexorably, when one part hiccups here, it causes collapses everywhere else. 
 
The notion that global economics is more efficient than more independent national economies is a myth that began to emerge after World War Two and rapidly accelerated in the 80s and the 90s.  Antitrust laws in the U.S were bent or ignored under the banner that “if we don’t allow our corporations to become larger, then we won’t be able to compete on the world stage”.  Europe and the rest of the world has learned that such models have serious side effects, like the aforementioned one of connected failure. 
 
Other side effects include the de facto endorsement of slave labor, or at least severely substandard labor practices, switching production to markets that offer little environmental protection standards, greatly decreased accountability (how do you hold a mega-corporation accountable when it has no central national base of operations?), and the dramatic decrease in innovation that occurs in near-monopolistic systems (which is what we have, and what the progressives want to move us further towards).
 
Despite all these negatives, Obama’s Labor Department, under Secretary Hilda Solis, seems ready to turn ever more for Global solutions to American problems.
 
Here is how the Labor Department is spinning this reliance on global solutions to American problems:
As we’ve learned, financial shocks can reverberate around the globe, but so can policies that create jobs, protect the rights of workers, and reward their hard work.  If workers abroad have decent jobs and working conditions, they can afford to buy what they produce- and what U.S. workers produce. But if workers in other countries earn poverty wages in sweatshops, U.S. workers compete on a playing field where nobody wins. At the U.S. Department of Labor’s International Labor Affairs Bureau (ILAB), it’s our job to keep that from happening.
When the global economic crisis eliminated millions of jobs at home and abroad, we went into action.  Secretary Solis hosted the first ever meeting of Labor and Employment Ministers from the G20 countries representing the largest economies in the world.  The ministers rolled up their sleeves and agreed on recommendations for their leaders on how best to create and preserve jobs and what they can do to improve jobs in the future.
When our government negotiates free trade agreements, we insist that our trading partners pledge to respect labor rights. At ILAB we monitor whether those commitments are kept. This year, we filed our first case under the trade agreement between the U.S. and six Central American countries (called the CAFTA-DR) to ensure that the labor provisions in the agreement are enforced.
We are also expanding the path-breaking “Better Work” program that monitors working conditions in export factories in developing countries and reports the results on the internet.  This gives accurate information to all concerned and ensures that companies that “do the right thing” get rewarded with more business, while firms that abuse workers do not.  It’s a “win-win” proposition and governments and companies are lining up to participate.
One of our proudest achievements is what we do to protect the world’s most vulnerable workers: the millions of children who labor around the world, doing everything from stitching cloths to spraying pesticides to begging on the streets.  We do exhaustive research every year on children working in the worst forms of child labor and fund projects worldwide to help remove children from harmful situations and get them into school – where they belong.
All that we do is part of our larger vision of a future where workers are treated fairly and can share in the prosperity they help to create.  We work to build the global foundation of Secretary Solis’ vision of “good jobs for everyone.”

CNS News reports:

An economist at the nonpartisan Hudson Institute says that if House and Senate Democrats pass the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) — known as the “card check bill” — in this Congress, it would create a “ponzi scheme” environment.

Diana Furchtgott-Roth, a former chief economist at the U.S. Department of Labor, told CNSNews.com on Tuesday that implementing card check would allow unions to swell their ranks with new members who would have to be signed up and pay money into failing union pension plans.
 
“It shouldn’t be allowed,” she said. “It’s a ponzi scheme as bad as Bernie Madoff.”
 
EFCA would do away with secret ballot elections for unions, which critics say would open the door to employees being pressured into voting to unionize. Additionally, the new union members could be entered into a multi-employer plan that is badly under-funded, and the wages they would pay into the fund would not go toward their own retirement, but would likely go to fulfill liabilities already owed to new and existing retirees.

Nigeria teeters on the edge of a “demographic disaster” unless its stagnant economy rapidly expands to support its teeming youth population, according to a report released Wednesday.

Estimates in the report by the British Council show Nigeria’s population of 150 million people will swell by another 63 million people by 2050, making it the fifth most populous countries in the world.

Nigeria will have a ready supply of workers into the future with more than 40 percent of the West African nation’s younger than 14.

However, the oil-rich nation’s gross domestic product remained flat as its population multiplied in the last two decades, leaving it dangerously out of balance unless true economic development takes hold, the report said.

“Large cohorts of unemployed or underemployed young people destabilize their societies, fueling crime and creating conditions where civil conflict becomes more likely,” it said. “Instead of collecting a dividend, a country that is not well prepared to make the most of its Baby Boom generation can find itself in the midst of a demographic disaster.”

To avoid that chaos, the report urges Nigeria’s government to step away from relying solely on its crude oil revenues and encourages investment in emerging industries like telecommunication and manufacturing.

A senior Chinese central bank official held out little prospect of a more rapid appreciation of the Chinese currency against the U.S. dollar to address a persistent trade imbalance between the countries, despite mounting frustration in Washington.

MK Yuli Edelstein, Minister of Public Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs, visited the Samarian community of Yakir Wednesday, to mark the opening of the school year. Edelstein was hosted by Gershon Mesika, head of the Shomron Regional Council, who showed him the poor conditions of the school. Mesika explained to Edelstein that the conditions are a result of neglect by the Defense Ministry as well as the 10-month construction freeze in Judea and Samaria which is scheduled to end at the end of the month.

Home Secretary G.K. Pillai said notices were being sent to Google and Skype asking them to set up servers in India and allow access to web data that officials fear could be misused by militants.

Several other countries, most of them in the Middle East, have raised concerns that the BlackBerry might be used to aid terrorism or peddle pornography.

But India could be the first to act against firms such as BlackBerry maker RIM, setting a precedent that could hurt companies with a reputation built on system security.

Such moves could also impact the shape of India’s mobile phone market, the world’s fastest-growing, and possibly hand gains to Apple Inc and Nokia, BlackBerry’s two biggest smartphone rivals in India.

Apparently, James Lee is a convinced, radical secularist who believes that in order for the planet to evolve, humans have to be removed. Hitler, also a radical secularist, believed that the Jews were the problem and Stalin, another radical secularist believed that capitalism was the impediment (he also hated the Jewish people and killed millions himself in pogroms).

SAVE THE PLANET PROTEST ESSAY CONTEST!

I’m awarding about $200,000 worth of commercial real estate property in Hawaii plus $10,000 in cash for the best TV show idea to save the planet. 2nd place winner $5,000 and Third place winner $1,500! This is the Save the Planet Essay Contest that was stopped with my arrest before I could find a winner in front of the Discovery Channel protest in Silver Spring Maryland.

I am still looking for an essay or a package presentation about a TV show that could be developed based on Daniel Quinn’s book, “My Ishmael” where it talks about how people can build on each other’s ideas in order to save the planet. I’d really recommend persons submitting ideas to read this book to get a better understanding about the author’s core idea to save the planet. All the clues you need for saving the planet is in that book. It just needs a little alteration in order to turn it into a show. But if you think you can work the idea without reading that book, that’s ok too. I just find reading that book will give you an advantage over those who have never read that book.

Basically, the way Quinn says people can save the world is by building on each other’s ideas. For example, in the history of humans, a person might invent a wheel. Then another person might take the idea of the wheel and add an axle to it. Then another person might add a cart to it. Then, a few thousand years later, so many people have built on those ideas, we get the modern automobile which in reality is the end product of thousands of inventive people all helping each other to improve on each other’s ideas and make it better. The same is true of most of inventions we have today all being a culmination of ideas. But the goal here is to find ways to save the planet using the same creativity instead of making more junk we don’t need.

OK, here goes: The title of your TV show should be very catchy. Sometimes the title makes all the difference, so a good deal of thought should go into the creation of the title. Think of titles like “American Idol,” “The Apprentice”, and other shows that are obviously good and memorable because of their catchy, well-thought out, titles. Then think of the titles that are obviously bad and try to avoid making your show title sound like those.

A radical enviornmentalist who took three hostages at the Discovery Channel headquarters while wearing what police may be explosives was shot and killed by officers, police said.

The gunman, identified as James Lee, was killed by police following four hours of negotiations but the hostages are all safe, said Montgomery County Police Chief J. Thomas Manger.

Manger said the suspect had “metalic canisters” strapped to his chest and back. When Lee was struck by police bullets, one of the canisters “popped.” Police have not confirmed if the canisters were a bomb, but Manger said the “device may have gone off” when he was shot.

On Wednesday August 25th, U.S. Chief of Protocol Ambassador Capricia Penavic Marshall hosted a U.S.-China business roundtable discussion with the Honorable Jon Huntsman, Ambassador of the United States to the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Zhang Yesui Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the United States, Chinese and American business leaders and other senior members of the Obama Administration.
Focused on the economy, the vibrant and productive discussion helped develop a greater mutual understanding among both the government and private sector leaders in attendance. The roundtable also laid an important foundation towards future partnerships and helped extend the U.S.-China relationship beyond the halls of government.

Sweden’s chief prosecutor has reopened a rape investigation against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Recently, Assange was accused with crimes of molestation and rape by the Swedish authorities. Assange has denied the allegations, claiming they are “without basis,” and later calling the case a “smear campaign” against him and WikiLeaks.

The rape charges were soon dropped by Eva Finne, chief prosecutor in Stockholm, but after the lawyer of the allegedly assaulted woman appealed the decision the case was reopened by Sweden’s Director of Public Prosecution Marianne Ny.

A Texas appeals court ruled Tuesday that a same-sex couple cannot get a divorce since the state does not recognize gay marriage.

“Texas law, as embodied in our constitution and statutes, requires that a valid marriage must be a union of one man and one woman, and only when a union comprises one man and one woman can there be a divorce under Texas law,” Justice Kerry P. Fitzgerald wrote in the opinion for the 5th Texas Court of Appeals.

The ruling was handed down to a gay couple, identified only as J.B. and H.B., who married in Massachusetts, where same-sex marriage is legal, in September 2006. The couple moved to Texas in 2008 and they ceased living together in November that year. J.B. filed a petition for a no-fault divorce.

Palestinian Authority security forces arrested over two hundred Hamas-affiliated suspects in the Hebron area overnight Tuesday and early Wednesday morning, on suspicion of connection with a shooting attack in Kiryat Arba which left four Israelis dead hours earlier.

The Hamas members were being investigated by the PA forces in an effort to locate suspects in the shooting attacks.
The investigations were being carried out independently, and Israelis security forces were also investigating potential leads.

Speaking in response to the attack on Tuesday night, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said  that he “condemns all acts that target Palestinian and Israeli civilians.” Abbas said that the attack near Hebron was designed to “disrupt the peace process and can’t be regarded as an act of resistance.”
The terror attack was believed to have been aimed at torpedoing the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, set to kick off on Wednesday in Washington.
Hamas military wing spokesman Abu Obeida told The Associated Press late Tuesday that Hamas carried out the attack.

Mistrust exists between Pakistan and the United States even though they have been allies for decades.

Security at U.S. airports has been especially stringent since the 2001 al Qaeda attacks on New York and Washington, with scores of passengers complaining they had been singled out for checks due to their “Middle Eastern” or “Muslim” appearance.

The Pakistani delegation was visiting the United States at the invitation of the U.S. military’s Central Command (CENTCOM), which oversees the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“The delegation … was subjected to unwarranted security checks at Washington airport by the U.S. Transport Security Agency,” the army said in a statement.

The delegation was later cleared and U.S. defense officials expressed regret over the incident. The statement did not give the date of the visit.

“However, as a result of these checks, military authorities in Pakistan decided to cancel the visit and called the delegation back,” the army said.

A U.S. embassy spokesman said talks were underway to possibly reschedule a visit.

Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are one in the same. That’s according to Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the man behind the Ground Zero mosque. And New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg agrees.

In a 2003 speech at a memorial service for slain journalist Daniel Pearl, Rauf claimed that based on the “common ground of our faiths,” he has “always been” a Jew and a Christian.

“If to be a Jew means to say with all one’s heart, mind and soul: ‘Shma Yisrael, Adonai Elohenu Adonai Ehad; Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One,’” Rauf said, “not only today I am a Jew, I have always been one. If to be a Christian is to love the Lord our God with all of my heart, mind and soul, and to love for my fellow human being what I love for myself, then not only am I a Christian, but I have always been one.”

Last week, New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg (who is Jewish) supported the statement. At a dinner he hosted to commemorate Ramadan, Bloomberg added, “In that spirit, let me declare that we in New York are Jews and Christians and Muslims, and we always have been.”

ON THE END OF COMBAT OPERATIONS IN IRAQ

THE PRESIDENT: Good evening. Tonight, I’d like to talk to you about the end of our combat mission in Iraq, the ongoing security challenges we face, and the need to rebuild our nation here at home.
I know this historic moment comes at a time of great uncertainty for many Americans. We’ve now been through nearly a decade of war. We’ve endured a long and painful recession. And sometimes in the midst of these storms, the future that we’re trying to build for our nation — a future of lasting peace and long-term prosperity — may seem beyond our reach.
But this milestone should serve as a reminder to all Americans that the future is ours to shape if we move forward with confidence and commitment. It should also serve as a message to the world that the United States of America intends to sustain and strengthen our leadership in this young century.
From this desk, seven and a half years ago, President Bush announced the beginning of military operations in Iraq. Much has changed since that night. A war to disarm a state became a fight against an insurgency. Terrorism and sectarian warfare threatened to tear Iraq apart. Thousands of Americans gave their lives; tens of thousands have been wounded. Our relations abroad were strained. Our unity at home was tested.
These are the rough waters encountered during the course of one of America’s longest wars. Yet there has been one constant amidst these shifting tides. At every turn, America’s men and women in uniform have served with courage and resolve. As Commander-in-Chief, I am incredibly proud of their service. And like all Americans, I’m awed by their sacrifice, and by the sacrifices of their families.
The Americans who have served in Iraq completed every mission they were given. They defeated a regime that had terrorized its people. Together with Iraqis and coalition partners who made huge sacrifices of their own, our troops fought block by block to help Iraq seize the chance for a better future. They shifted tactics to protect the Iraqi people, trained Iraqi Security Forces, and took out terrorist leaders. Because of our troops and civilians — and because of the resilience of the Iraqi people — Iraq has the opportunity to embrace a new destiny, even though many challenges remain.
So tonight, I am announcing that the American combat mission in Iraq has ended. Operation Iraqi Freedom is over, and the Iraqi people now have lead responsibility for the security of their country.
This was my pledge to the American people as a candidate for this office. Last February, I announced a plan that would bring our combat brigades out of Iraq, while redoubling our efforts to strengthen Iraq’s Security Forces and support its government and people.
That’s what we’ve done. We’ve removed nearly 100,000 U.S. troops from Iraq. We’ve closed or transferred to the Iraqis hundreds of bases. And we have moved millions of pieces of equipment out of Iraq.
This completes a transition to Iraqi responsibility for their own security. U.S. troops pulled out of Iraq’s cities last summer, and Iraqi forces have moved into the lead with considerable skill and commitment to their fellow citizens. Even as Iraq continues to suffer terrorist attacks, security incidents have been near the lowest on record since the war began. And Iraqi forces have taken the fight to al Qaeda, removing much of its leadership in Iraqi-led operations.
This year also saw Iraq hold credible elections that drew a strong turnout. A caretaker administration is in place as Iraqis form a government based on the results of that election. Tonight, I encourage Iraq’s leaders to move forward with a sense of urgency to form an inclusive government that is just, representative, and accountable to the Iraqi people. And when that government is in place, there should be no doubt: The Iraqi people will have a strong partner in the United States. Our combat mission is ending, but our commitment to Iraq’s future is not.
Going forward, a transitional force of U.S. troops will remain in Iraq with a different mission: advising and assisting Iraq’s Security Forces, supporting Iraqi troops in targeted counterterrorism missions, and protecting our civilians. Consistent with our agreement with the Iraqi government, all U.S. troops will leave by the end of next year. As our military draws down, our dedicated civilians — diplomats, aid workers, and advisors — are moving into the lead to support Iraq as it strengthens its government, resolves political disputes, resettles those displaced by war, and builds ties with the region and the world. That’s a message that Vice President Biden is delivering to the Iraqi people through his visit there today.
This new approach reflects our long-term partnership with Iraq — one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect. Of course, violence will not end with our combat mission. Extremists will continue to set off bombs, attack Iraqi civilians and try to spark sectarian strife. But ultimately, these terrorists will fail to achieve their goals. Iraqis are a proud people. They have rejected sectarian war, and they have no interest in endless destruction. They understand that, in the end, only Iraqis can resolve their differences and police their streets. Only Iraqis can build a democracy within their borders. What America can do, and will do, is provide support for the Iraqi people as both a friend and a partner.
Ending this war is not only in Iraq’s interest — it’s in our own. The United States has paid a huge price to put the future of Iraq in the hands of its people. We have sent our young men and women to make enormous sacrifices in Iraq, and spent vast resources abroad at a time of tight budgets at home. We’ve persevered because of a belief we share with the Iraqi people — a belief that out of the ashes of war, a new beginning could be born in this cradle of civilization. Through this remarkable chapter in the history of the United States and Iraq, we have met our responsibility. Now, it’s time to turn the page.
As we do, I’m mindful that the Iraq war has been a contentious issue at home. Here, too, it’s time to turn the page. This afternoon, I spoke to former President George W. Bush. It’s well known that he and I disagreed about the war from its outset. Yet no one can doubt President Bush’s support for our troops, or his love of country and commitment to our security. As I’ve said, there were patriots who supported this war, and patriots who opposed it. And all of us are united in appreciation for our servicemen and women, and our hopes for Iraqis’ future.
The greatness of our democracy is grounded in our ability to move beyond our differences, and to learn from our experience as we confront the many challenges ahead. And no challenge is more essential to our security than our fight against al Qaeda.
Americans across the political spectrum supported the use of force against those who attacked us on 9/11. Now, as we approach our 10th year of combat in Afghanistan, there are those who are understandably asking tough questions about our mission there. But we must never lose sight of what’s at stake. As we speak, al Qaeda continues to plot against us, and its leadership remains anchored in the border regions of Afghanistan and Pakistan. We will disrupt, dismantle and defeat al Qaeda, while preventing Afghanistan from again serving as a base for terrorists. And because of our drawdown in Iraq, we are now able to apply the resources necessary to go on offense. In fact, over the last 19 months, nearly a dozen al Qaeda leaders — and hundreds of al Qaeda’s extremist allies — have been killed or captured around the world.
Within Afghanistan, I’ve ordered the deployment of additional troops who — under the command of General David Petraeus — are fighting to break the Taliban’s momentum.
As with the surge in Iraq, these forces will be in place for a limited time to provide space for the Afghans to build their capacity and secure their own future. But, as was the case in Iraq, we can’t do for Afghans what they must ultimately do for themselves. That’s why we’re training Afghan Security Forces and supporting a political resolution to Afghanistan’s problems. And next August, we will begin a transition to Afghan responsibility. The pace of our troop reductions will be determined by conditions on the ground, and our support for Afghanistan will endure. But make no mistake: This transition will begin — because open-ended war serves neither our interests nor the Afghan people’s.
Indeed, one of the lessons of our effort in Iraq is that American influence around the world is not a function of military force alone. We must use all elements of our power — including our diplomacy, our economic strength, and the power of America’s example — to secure our interests and stand by our allies. And we must project a vision of the future that’s based not just on our fears, but also on our hopes — a vision that recognizes the real dangers that exist around the world, but also the limitless possibilities of our time.
Today, old adversaries are at peace, and emerging democracies are potential partners. New markets for our goods stretch from Asia to the Americas. A new push for peace in the Middle East will begin here tomorrow. Billions of young people want to move beyond the shackles of poverty and conflict. As the leader of the free world, America will do more than just defeat on the battlefield those who offer hatred and destruction — we will also lead among those who are willing to work together to expand freedom and opportunity for all people.
Now, that effort must begin within our own borders. Throughout our history, America has been willing to bear the burden of promoting liberty and human dignity overseas, understanding its links to our own liberty and security. But we have also understood that our nation’s strength and influence abroad must be firmly anchored in our prosperity at home. And the bedrock of that prosperity must be a growing middle class.
Unfortunately, over the last decade, we’ve not done what’s necessary to shore up the foundations of our own prosperity. We spent a trillion dollars at war, often financed by borrowing from overseas. This, in turn, has short-changed investments in our own people, and contributed to record deficits. For too long, we have put off tough decisions on everything from our manufacturing base to our energy policy to education reform. As a result, too many middle-class families find themselves working harder for less, while our nation’s long-term competitiveness is put at risk.
And so at this moment, as we wind down the war in Iraq, we must tackle those challenges at home with as much energy, and grit, and sense of common purpose as our men and women in uniform who have served abroad. They have met every test that they faced. Now, it’s our turn. Now, it’s our responsibility to honor them by coming together, all of us, and working to secure the dream that so many generations have fought for — the dream that a better life awaits anyone who is willing to work for it and reach for it.
Our most urgent task is to restore our economy, and put the millions of Americans who have lost their jobs back to work. To strengthen our middle class, we must give all our children the education they deserve, and all our workers the skills that they need to compete in a global economy. We must jumpstart industries that create jobs, and end our dependence on foreign oil. We must unleash the innovation that allows new products to roll off our assembly lines, and nurture the ideas that spring from our entrepreneurs. This will be difficult. But in the days to come, it must be our central mission as a people, and my central responsibility as President.
Part of that responsibility is making sure that we honor our commitments to those who have served our country with such valor. As long as I am President, we will maintain the finest fighting force that the world has ever known, and we will do whatever it takes to serve our veterans as well as they have served us. This is a sacred trust. That’s why we’ve already made one of the largest increases in funding for veterans in decades. We’re treating the signature wounds of today’s wars — post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury — while providing the health care and benefits that all of our veterans have earned. And we’re funding a Post-9/11 GI Bill that helps our veterans and their families pursue the dream of a college education. Just as the GI Bill helped those who fought World War II — including my grandfather — become the backbone of our middle class, so today’s servicemen and women must have the chance to apply their gifts to expand the American economy. Because part of ending a war responsibly is standing by those who have fought it.
Two weeks ago, America’s final combat brigade in Iraq — the Army’s Fourth Stryker Brigade — journeyed home in the pre-dawn darkness. Thousands of soldiers and hundreds of vehicles made the trip from Baghdad, the last of them passing into Kuwait in the early morning hours. Over seven years before, American troops and coalition partners had fought their way across similar highways, but this time no shots were fired. It was just a convoy of brave Americans, making their way home.
Of course, the soldiers left much behind. Some were teenagers when the war began. Many have served multiple tours of duty, far from families who bore a heroic burden of their own, enduring the absence of a husband’s embrace or a mother’s kiss. Most painfully, since the war began, 55 members of the Fourth Stryker Brigade made the ultimate sacrifice — part of over 4,400 Americans who have given their lives in Iraq. As one staff sergeant said, “I know that to my brothers in arms who fought and died, this day would probably mean a lot.”
Those Americans gave their lives for the values that have lived in the hearts of our people for over two centuries. Along with nearly 1.5 million Americans who have served in Iraq, they fought in a faraway place for people they never knew. They stared into the darkest of human creations — war — and helped the Iraqi people seek the light of peace.
In an age without surrender ceremonies, we must earn victory through the success of our partners and the strength of our own nation. Every American who serves joins an unbroken line of heroes that stretches from Lexington to Gettysburg; from Iwo Jima to Inchon; from Khe Sanh to Kandahar — Americans who have fought to see that the lives of our children are better than our own. Our troops are the steel in our ship of state. And though our nation may be travelling through rough waters, they give us confidence that our course is true, and that beyond the pre-dawn darkness, better days lie ahead.

Iran, concerned about an Israeli attack on its burgeoning nuclear armaments program, is thought to be pressuring Hizbullah and Hamas to launch spoiling attacks against Israel so as to prevent the Israelis from being able to focus on Iran. After the first war with Hizbullah a few years back, it was determined by many Arab and Muslim powers that Israel was incapable of focusing on more than one major front at a time and while this may not be true, the appearance of such a limitation is feeding into a new Mulsim led strategy of bleeding Israel with many small incursions and manufactured “atrocities” in a bid to turn world opinion against Israel and ultimately allow the Pan-Islamists to achieve their agenda for a Christ-free and Jew-free Middle East.

Iranian operatives are basically telling these two different Pan-Islamic terror groups that they had better do something or risk Iran redirecting its resources in other areas, which would effectively bankrupt these two terrorist groups. Iran is working with Syria to create a new groups with a focus on retkaing the Golan heights that would be presented as a non-state actor, as with Hamas and Hisbullah, which would then launch spoiling attacks against Israeli military and civilian targets in that region while Syria can claim that these attacks are not officially sanctioned.

The long term war by proxy on Israel, which uses Arabs who call themselves “Palestinians” as the cannon fodder for a Pan-Islamic agenda supported by Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and, now, Turkey, has been an on-again, off-again event since the Pan-Islamic forces were roundly defeated in 1948 in their bid to “drive the Jews into the sea.”

America’s current Administration is more or less re-aligning US foreign policy towards the Pan-Islamic orbit, which necessarily requires more and more distance between Washington and Jerusalem, despite the fact that most all Americans oppose such a policy shift and prefer Israel as an ally as opposed to Saudi Arabia or Iran. The move towards rapprochement with Pan-Islamic powers and away from Jerusalem is encouraging to the lead Pan-Islamic power for the moment, Iran, which sees this shift as a sign of weakness.

President Obama spoke to the nation about the end of formal combat operations in Iraq on Monday. It is clear the U.S. role in the country is changing.

Among that change, though, remains the cloudy fate of Christians in the country, tens of thousands whom fled seven years of wars and fear of reprisals and recriminations for their faith.

Overturning the dictatorial regime of Saddam Hussein in order to put democracy in its place did not work, Chaldean Auxiliary Bishop Shlemon Warduni of Baghdad said.

“Democracy needs to be taught, it needs to be planted, not imported,” he said. He compared life in Iraq under Saddam as like living “in a huge jail”.

“And what happens when a prison is suddenly thrown open?” he asked.

Labor union members, where is your outrage with your management?  Your leaders are padding their salaries and THEIR pensions separately from yours, and letting yours to crinkle on the vine.  Big labor unions have just announced they will spend at LEAST $100 million on the November.  That money, if parcelled out to individual members, or simply not deducted from members’ paychecks, could make a big difference to workers.

Here is a breakdown of the fraud being perpetrated on union members and the taxpaying public.  As the taxpayer pays the public employees salaries, union dues are taken out of these taxfunded salaries and then are being used to support political campaigns.  The use of public money in this manner should be illegal. 

Today’s labor movement claims to hold its individual members’ welfare paramount.  So what message do its leaders send when they opt to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on political campaigns while members (and the taxpaying public paying for the union member’s salaries) continue to suffer very difficult economic times?

Muslims Want Holder To Muzzle Their Critics- William Collier- FREEDOMIST

Farhana Khera, president and executive director of “Muslim Advocates”, a front group for the Pan-Islamic movement in America, sat down in late August 2010 with Eric Holder’s “Justice Department” to urge Holder’s people to go after what he termed “hate speech” against Muslims.
Citing anecdotal evidence of random acts of violence against Muslims, Khera urged the US to “prosecute” those who “speak hate” against Islam. Khera failed to mention the 911 terror attacks by his coreligionists in the Pan-Islamic movement, the Fort Hood Massacre, the attempted Times Square bombing, or numerous other acts of Pan-Islamic violence which are encouraged by Pan-Islamic hate speech against Americans in Saudi-funded mosques across the US every Friday.

Holder, who dropped charges against Pan-Islamic “New Black Panther Party” members whose anti-white and anti-American hate speech against voters in Philadelphia (at a polling station) are on video, is likely to fall in line behind Khera and give a positive answer to his request to silence speech against Islam under the cover of “hate crimes.” This is a tactic used by the Homosexual extremists who seek to impose a “normalization” of their deviant behavior over those for whom such behavior is reprehensible, especially by compelling schools to brainwash children, against their parent’s wishes, to “explore” such behavior themselves.

Is there a connection between the homosexual movement and the Pan-Islamic movement? The two movements seem to be working hand in hand in America, but it is this just a coincidence or is there more to this than one might expect? MORE on this is forthcoming!

The continued cooperation between environmental extremists, homosexual extremists, so-called “Progressives” and the Pan-Islamic movement has some baffled as each of these groups has its own interests that appear to diverge from the others, however all such groups tend towards obscuring standards of common decency and family-oriented virtue often to the benefit of a few rich men at the expense of women and the poor.

Meanwhile, the Pan-Islamic Movement in America is pushing hard to use hate crimes laws to criminalize opponents of Islam, and Khera, as a mouthpiece for the Pan-Islamic movement, is leading the charge!

In an incredibly Orwellian bit of doublespeak, considering the ideology he represents, Khera claimed, “Unfortunately, this very escalating trend of hate speech in the country has now transformed into actual acts of violence and the attorney general, as the nation’s chief law enforcement officer, has an obligation to really enforce the laws, including the hate crime laws and holding those that engage in hate crimes responsible.”

By the terms of US hate crimes laws, Khera’s own manifesto, the Koran, is in and of itself a manual for hate against Christians, Jews, and all non-believers and if it is followed faithfully can only lead to war, oppression, and lots of hate.

While the Journolist Media is focusing on this issue from the Pan-Islamists perspective, presenting their bias against Christianity and America as if it is objective reporting, this same Journolist Media is ignoring the growing anti-Christian and anti-American rhetoric, hate speech, and violence from within Saudi-funded Pan-Islamic groups and mosques operating on US soil.

A narrow energy bill which Harry Reid scaled back from earlier, more grandiose ambitions is likely to be pushed back until after the midterm elections, said the Senate Majority Leader on a conference call today. However, he did offer renewed hope, for the first time in a while, that the bill could include a renewable energy standard, mandating a percentage of electricity to be generated from renewable sources.

On the call, scheduled in advance of the third annual Clean Energy Summit on September 7 in Las Vegas, Reid went over the history of the energy bill, which initially was a comprehensive plan from John Kerry and others, including a cap and trade system for carbon emissions. “We originally tried to do a bill that John Kerry worked on for 8 or 9 months,” Reid said, but at the end of the process, Kerry and his colleagues found themselves unable to attract Republican support. “We had to step back with something more modest… a more compact bill.” The bill that Reid unveiled before the August recess includes the Home Star energy retrofits for residential properties, inducements for natural gas and electric vehicles, particularly in the trucking fleets, to reduce dependence on oil, and increased money for the Land and Water Conservation Fund, which can go toward any number of land use projects.

Sensing Senators don’t have the stomach to try and pass a stand-alone bill in broad daylight that would give the President the power to shut down the Internet in a national emergency, the Senate is considering attaching the Internet Kill Switch bill as a rider to other legislation that would have bi-partisan support.

“It’s hard to get a measure like cybersecurity legislation passed on its own,” Senator Thomas Carper (D-Del.) told GovInfoSecurity.com. Carper is chairman of the Senate subcommittee with cybersecurity oversight.

Under instructions from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), Senators Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.) are working to combine their separate bills into one that can be attached to another piece of legislation, such as the Defense Authorization Act.

While proponents say an Internet Kill Switch is needed to protect the nation’s power, water and banking grids, what it really is is a way to control the flow of information. Experts have said that the nation’s power and water grids are not connected directly to the Internet.

Lieberman let slip his real thoughts on the Internet Kill Switch in an interview with CNN’s Candy Crowley when he said, “Right now China — the government — can disconnect parts of its Internet in a case of war. We need to have the ability to do that, too.”

According to a 2009 study by Internet security firm Proofpoint, 8 percent of companies with more than 1,000 employees have fired someone for social media actions — a figure that is double what was reported in 2008. Yet it probably comes as no surprise that Facebook firings are on the rise. Cases of employers firing employees for social media slip-ups have been consistent in the news over the past few years.

Just in case you need a refresher of what not to say online, here’s a timeline of 12 ridiculous examples of how Facebook can get you fired.

1. Nov. 4, 2008:  New England Patriots cheerleader Caitlin Davis was cut from the squad over controversial pictures that were posted on her Facebook page. Davis, then 18, was at a Halloween party when she posed for photos with a passed-out man who was covered in graffiti, including swastikas, anti-Semitic remarks and profanity. Davis was fired from the squad after the pictures appeared on various websites and caught the attention of the Patriot’s management team. She had been the youngest cheerleader ever to make an NFL squad.

2. Feb. 26, 2009: A U.K. teenager was fired for calling her job “boring.” According to The Daily Mail, Kimberley Swann posted comments such as, “First day at work. Omg (oh my god)!! So dull!!” and “All I do is shred holepunch and scan paper!!!” [sic]. Swann was canned after her boss discovered the comments.  

3. March 9, 2009: Dan Leone, a stadium operations employee for the Philadelphia Eagles, was fired for voicing his opinion on the team’s trading practices via Facebook. Leone reportedly updated his Facebook status with, “Dan is [expletive] devastated about Dawkins signing with Denver … Dam Eagles R Retarted!!” [sic].

4. April 27, 2009: A Swiss woman was fired after calling in sick and then logging into Facebook on her “sick day.” Apparently the women had a migraine and called out of work because she thought the light from a computer would bother her and she needed to lie in a dark room. When her employer caught her surfing Facebook, it was presumed that she was indeed well enough to sit in front of a computer, and she was let go.

5. April 28, 2009:  A Minnesota nursing home employee was fired after rumors spread that she had posted photos of herself with nude patients on her Facebook page. Though no nude pictures were found, the employee did have pictures of herself with clothed patients, which violated the home’s privacy policy and led to her termination.

6. August 27, 2009:  Ashley Payne, a Georgia high school teacher, was forced to resign after the local school board came across pictures of her sipping beer and wine. The pictures, which appeared on Payne’s Facebook page, were from a vacation she had taken that summer, which included a trip to the Guinness Brewery in Ireland. Payne was quoted as saying “I did not think that any of this could jeopardize my job because I was just doing what adults do and have drinks on vacation and being responsible about it.” She sued the school district last November. The case is expected to go to trial this fall.

7. Feb. 11, 2010: South Carolina firefighter and paramedic Jason Brown was fired for creating a three-minute-long animated video and posting it on Facebook. The video, which showed a cartoon doctor and paramedic responding to an emergency in a hospital, was meant to be a spoof, Brown said. However, his department didn’t find the video funny, calling it “an embarrassment,” and Brown was fired.

Hezbollah Army marching on Israel?

Western intelligence and Persian Gulf sources report that on August 30, Hizballah put its forces on a state of war alert and issued a partial call-up of reservists. According to debkafile’s military sources, Hizballah appears to be preparing a major attack on Israel straight after the ceremonial start of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks in Washington Thursday Sept. 2. A second target date is the Jewish New Year festival starting on Sept. 8. The pressure from Tehran for the Lebanese Shiite terrorists to strike Israel has intensified in the wake of the example the Palestinian Hamas gave Tuesday night Aug. 31 in the drive-by murder of four Israeli civilians on a road near Hebron.

A large-scale attack appears to be in the works judging by the heavy influx of armed Hizballah units to southern Lebanon in the last few days. Our military sources report that they include special units trained especially for deep-strike incursions into northern Israel in response to Israeli counter-attacks.

Our intelligence sources report that the Iranian al Qods commander of Tehran’s networks and surrogates in Iraq, the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian Authority has spent the last ten days in Damascus. He arrived there on August 19 in the party of Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari, Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) chief and stayed on after his boss left the Syrian capital, apparently assigned to oversee an important terrorist or military operation against Israel.

Hizballah’s own direct commander on behalf of the IRGC, Hassan Mahdavi is reported by Western intelligence sources monitoring events in Lebanon as leaning hard on Hizballah’s secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah to strike IDF forces within a few days in response to US sponsorship of direct Israeli-Palestinian talks. The terrorist chief is reported to be on the verge of a decision about what target to attack and when.

The company recently released images and a few details about its forthcoming M-Dress, a dark, richly textured, form-fitting silk jersey dress that also doubles as a cellphone. That’s right, you can make and receive calls with your current mobile number. From your dress.

Simply slip your SIM card underneath the garment label and you’re all set. The dress has special gesture recognition software that makes picking up a call as simple as raising a hand to your ear. (And yes, the dress rings. We were told that the default ring sounds like “Dilidilidilidliin dliin dliin.” Make of that what you will.) Dropping your hand will end the call, the manufacturer claims.

The dress will only be able to call a couple of pre-programmed numbers, CuteCircuit spokesperson Francesca Rosella informed us, pointing out that one of those numbers could be an operator’s. You will also be able to attach different ringtones to different numbers, so that you can determine who is calling.

Support for ObamaCare, the national health care program President Barack Obama signed into law that contains taxpayer-funded abortions, dropped sharply in August, according to a new Kaiser Health Tracking Poll.

The results make it so one issue Democrats hoped to use to perform well in the upcoming elections will likely work against them.

The Kaiser poll has support for the pro-abortion government-run health care program dropping 7 percent to just 43 percent. Opposition rose 10 percentage points to 45 percent — the weakest showing for ObamaCare since Kaiser’s poll in May.

Democrats hoped support for ObamaCare would increase as the elections drew closer and it could tout some of the provisions they believe the public would support. But Drew Altman, president and CEO of the Kaiser Family Foundation, admits that’s not happening.

“Public opinion on health reform has been stuck in a fairly narrow band and is not changing dramatically,” he said. “And with concerns about the economy and jobs dominating the public’s agenda, and local issues always so important in midterm elections, it is not clear that health reform will play a significant role at the polls in November.”
