Verizon and Google working on a tablet

May 12, 2010
It seems that Verizon is getting tired of waiting on Apple to allow it to have its most popular devices such as the iPhone and iPad. While not much can be done about the iPhone, there isn’t anything stopping the company from coming up with its own tablet as tons of companies are launching similar products. Now you can add Verizon, in conjunction with Google to that list.According to The Wall Street Journal, the project was confirmed by Lowell McAdam, chief executive of Verizon.  ”We’re working on tablets together, for example. We’re looking at all the things Google has in its archives that we could put on a tablet to make it a great experience,” said Mr. McAdam.

While there is nothing in the way of confirmation as to the specs of the tablet, but it has been known for some time that Google was working on the Chrome OS, which is said to be designed with tablets in mind.  There is always a chance they will opt to take this project in some other direction, but that is all speculation at this point.
