Steve Van Buren Dies

Legendary running back Steve Van Buren has died, perhaps the greatest Eagle of all time (either him or Church Bednarik). Eagles fans who never knew who van Buren was, who weren’t alive when he played, have been making a big deal taking time to remember the legend. This got me thinking as to why so much attention is being paid to a man who played more than 60 years ago. This is my reason why I join them in remembering the man who made Eagles fly:

The Ryan Plan- It’s The Economy, Not Values

From Tioga Freedomist- Tioga County PA Newspaper » Tioga County Newspaper This commentary is addressing a current event from a Christian or “Kingdom of God” perspective. It should be noted that those who see our current crisis as fiscal or political are starting from the middle, their focus is not on Building the Kingdom of God AMONG US but on trying to save or reform a “kingdom of men” that can never be made righteous, or even be made safe, by politics or any other means. The REAL need of the hour of our moral crisis is to revive the Body of Christ by restoring Kingdom-Mindedness, a Christ-centered way of life, and the re-emergence of the Ecclesia. These goals are ends in and of themselves, even if the nation still rejects God, they are not just a way to “fix” the nation. read more- Tioga Freedomist- Tioga County PA Newspaper » Tioga County Newspaper Tioga County Newspaper- Tioga...

Russian Bear Poking Around In America’s Backyard

From Tioga Freedomist- Tioga County PA Newspaper » Tioga County Newspaper In the end, the US has to get serious about the emerging ASW threat and may want to seriously consider restoring SOSUS. Compared to other Cold War programs, SOSUS is relatively cheap, but it was the single most successful program during the Cold War in terms of achieving its mission objectives. I would estimate that with a combination of at-sea vessels, land sites, and supporing ASK air squadrons, a SOSUS net around the whole US would include around 15,000 or less total personnel, around 20-30 SMALL ships, and around 100 or less ASW aircraft. read more- Tioga Freedomist- Tioga County PA Newspaper » Tioga County Newspaper Tioga County Newspaper- Tioga...
