The Palin Movie, The Undefeated, challenges the political class. An article written by Slade Sohmer from Hypervocal illustrates the untold powerful, broad message of the Palin Movie, The Undefeated. Many have assumed that the Palin Movie is all about Sarah Palin and showing how she is more than the media elites have made her out to be. While there is truth to that point, the main driver that will resonate with audiences at large is the emerging dividing point that threaten to undermine American identity. Are we a nation of self-starters, independent people who figure out how to get things done and then go out and do it, as our traditions have proven us to be? Or are we to become a nation that relies on the ‘wisdom’ of the political and corporate classes to guide our lives, our economies, and now, even our health?

The Palin Movie illustrates this epic struggle now forming between the people and their own government. In her battles to bring the windfall of oil profits to the people of her state, Alaska, Sarah Palin had to battle the democratic party machine, the republican party machine, and even the corporate, lobbyist machine. This story is about one small person, Sarah Palin, who, in this documentary, could be the ‘everywoman’ in a pageant play about the struggles between the individual and the establishment class, the political class, the corporate class, that seeks not to govern wisely but to preserve the resources, the wealth, that the people create for their own collectivist designs.

This film is not what you think it is. The Undefeated — the Palin-praising documentary about the life and political career of the former Alaska governor — is not just two hours of liberals using the C word.

Director Stephen K. Bannon’s mission here was not simply to cut down progressives and liberalism by propping up Sarah Palin. While it is a fawning theatrical shrine to the most polarizing woman in politics, it’s not really a right-wing drive-by on lefty haters. If anything, Bannon’s documentary is more of a shot across the bow of the GOP establishment and the entrenched right than it is the Democratic Party and the Palin-hating left. The targets and the message will surprise you.
