Mitt Romney announces support of Michigan officials for his presidential run
WASHINGTON – Mitt Romney this morning announced the support of nearly two dozen Michigan officials for his presidential run, including state Attorney General Bill Schuette.
Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, was raised in Bloomfield Hills and is the son of the late George Romney, a three-term Michigan governor. Romney is an early frontrunner for the Republican nomination next year.
Schuette takes over as Romney’s statewide chairman in Michigan.
