Many churches are now using Blogs to keep their members, community and everyone else up to date on what is going on in their church. (WordPress is a great, simple to use blog site)

Why is a blog relevant you may ask? Well I will tell you:

1. Having a blog can keep your members up to date as to what the leadership is thinking about, praying about, etc for the ministry.

2. Blog entries from the Pastor are always wanted by the congregation. Everyone wants to know what their Pastor has to say.

3. Use it to get your church known in the community. Use twitter to “promote” it. Post new blog entries online.

4. Blog about what happened in a service. Whether it was a healing, a testimony, or just to send some shout outs to the people who served that week.

5. Post videos, clips, etc. Use it to be personable with your members. Show a funny video of something that happened in a staff meeting or when your leadership is just hanging out.

6. Blog about what God is doing in your Church.

7. Blog about what God has been revealing/showing you as the Pastor.

8. Use a blog to witness or teach. Blog short Bible Studies.
