While technology is useful in certain circumstances and not in others, Wendy asked about how appropriate personal technology would be during corporate worship. Somebody has probably established common rules about this, but I haven’t seen them.
Personal digital devices during worship could indeed be distracting for those who don’t have them. At The Great Emergence Conference in 2008, all the twitter-ers sat together in one section of the sanctuary to avoid this.
