Obama’s Health Care Plan Updates

President Obama is confidant that there will be enough support to back his Health Care Reform Legislation. Reportedly, there have been 4 lawmakers who originally voted against this bill but it seems that they are now being given an opportunity to change their vote and switch to the other side.

Obama has atually lowered himself to attacking insurance companies to make his bill seem more appealing. Kind of reminds me of high school. Bullies use verbal blows to get their way, gain control over “smaller” people and try to validate themselves. Just sayin.

Obama- refusing to back any Democrats who will not support his bill. This means no campaigning, no appearances at fund-raising events, etc. Having the President show up at a Democrat Fund-raiser during elections season is a big deal and shows his support for the candidate. If the President shows up the fund-raiser can raise hundreds of thousands of dollars that would would otherwise take months to raise. Obama basically is saying, “If you dont do what I say, I will ruin you.” Again, does this not sound like a playground bully?

Abortion is actually going to be paid for by our tax dollars!? Apparently.

Here is another lame Obama catchphrase, “We need courage!” His last catchphrase “Yes, we can!” was annoying enough. A woman at one of Obama’s conferences yelled out, “We need courage” to which Obama immediately picked it up and said, “Did you hear what somebody just said? That’s what we need. That’s why I came here today. We need courage. We need courage. You know, in the end, this debate is about far more than politics. It comes down to what kind of country do we want to be.”

Courage? What? What about all the important things? Integrity, truth, wisdom, etc? But courage? What the heck does courage have to do with it? Obama came to give them courage? Am I the only one who just doesn’t get it?

“The American people,” he said, “want to know if it’s still possible for Washington to look out for these interests, for their future.” I am STILL wondering that very thing.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey reports that only 23% strongly support this bill while everyone else is completely disagrees with it. Hey President Obama, whatever happened to giving the people what they want? Apparently it isn’t possible for “Washington to look out for the interests of the American People”.

Rep. Jim Oberstar, a Democrat who opposes abortion, has voted to pass the bill. Its kind of a contradiction though. How can you support the bill but be against Abortion?
