While inside th Blair House the Republicans and Democrats gathered to the particulars of health care reform, protesters were gathered outside to debate both sides as well.
There seemed to be only one point that they both agreed on; the current proposal is not the answer. While some liberals want more reform, including a public option, conservatives want to start fresh with a whole new plan.
One summit protester, Rita Grace, was quoted as saying: “I believe they should start from scratch and not have legislation that is based on deals that are done in secret, that are not only constitutional, but they’re not moral.” I couldn’t agree more.
